Durring hurricane Beryl Ian showed compassion and understood our stress while moving. The movers was forcing us to take delivery while everything was without power and gate would not open. Ian helped us with a plan and scheduled a day for delivery while opening the gates manually. He even went across the street to purchase water for the movers cause of the extreme heat. I had just sold my house and my new house would not be closing for a few months so I needed to store my items between my move. I had called around different storage units and this one was the nicest over the phone so I went ahead and reserved the space. Upon showing up the staff was super nice. She even remembered me when I moved out! While, I was there the facility was always clean and safe. I did not fear that my items would be stolen or damaged while it was in there care. We had a terrible experience today with the manager, Ian. I secured the storage space on June 8th for my mother who recently suffered a stroke and is now in a nursing facility. Today we emptied her condo of her lifelong belongings and arrived at Cube Smart with a moving truck and movers to store her treasured belongings. Ian met us at the gate and immediately inquired if my husband in the truck behind me was with me...were we "together"? Yes sir. We enter and the movers begin to move items into the unit. Ian is out again to inform us we can't prop the exterior door open to access the interior "climate controlled" (more on this part later) unit because it is impeding the drive through gate from opening. I ask how are they to access the unit and Ian informs me they will have to open the door each time they pass. So we figure a way to prop the door enough to pass but as not to impede the gate. Problem solved. Ian excitedly comes out again. "Hey! I told you guys you can't prop open the door!" I get out of the truck and ask to see this rule or policy in writing since Ian is so adamant. My husband asks Ian what the problem is because the gate can clear with no problem. Ian says something about being threatened. What? No yelling. No threatening. No cursing. I ask Ian if he's feeling threatened because my husband is a large black man. Then Ian says he is canceling the contract. Our stuff was already in the unit with a lock on it. I go in the office and request the cancelation and refund in writing. Ian refuses and says he doesn't have to provide me with anything and threatened me with calling law enforcement. While I'm here, let me address the "climate controlled" units. When I paid for the climate controlled unit Ian informed me the climate control isn't working properly and it is 90+ degrees in these units, yet they are still charging the climate controlled prices and that corporate has plans to fix it at some point. I just want to inform people before they experience something similar. If you're white and don't mind paying for climate controlled storage that is not climate controlled, this may be your spot. At this point I was fearful of Ian and his irrational behavior. However, I am grateful Ian is a storage place manager and not a police officer and I am happy to not do business with this type of person. I hope to hear from Corporate Cube Smart soon, but Ian refused to give me that information but he did say he would email Corporate and that would expedite my request. read more

If any of you ever need help or have a problem with your storage unit, ask for Ian! It was 10 minutesBefore they closed and I pulled up to get the keys to my storage unit. I had my movers and moving truck behind me, and had already change storage locations on them and so I was a bit anxious to get the keys so that they could unload the truck. It was not until after I had reserved the storage unit paid the deposit that I realize that I had driven to the wrong Cubesmart location. One of the associates, Ian, must have noticed my Desperation, And was so kind and helpful. He went out of his way to get me set up at the location I reserved, and even followed me to the Other cube smart location to ensure I didn't have any problems accessing the storage unit. I have never seeing someone go out of their way to assist a customer, and so I am Dedicating this five star review to Ian! Thank you! read more

The registration process was quick and easy. Everyone that I came in contact with in the office was very courteous and helpful. My dad used this location a few years back and I remember the same great customer service then. Being that I don't really care for using public restrooms, this location's restroom was quite clean, roomy, and not hot and stuffy like I though it'd be. Overall, I'm very satisfied. read more

Called in to ask prices for a 10x5 climate control. I was looking for that particular size. The man that answered the phone was asking all kinds of question name, telephone number, and what I was storing. However, once he informed me of prices and different size. I knew I would not be able to afford the unit. I informed him of this and told him thank you for the information. He was persistent and didn't want to let me say goodbye. Kept asking more question. I had to hang up because he was not listening to me and kept ignoring me. Well, a few minutes went by and he called me back from a different number. A few seconds into the call I realized it was the man from the other phone call. I told him I was not please with the customer service and if he would please not call me again. He asked me to tell him why. I then told him no and please do not call this number again. Why do I need to be hassled if I already know what I am looking for and what I can and can not afford? read more
