DO NOT RENT HERE. CRAZY PRICE HIKES. My partner and I have rented from other Public Storage sites and had a fine experience. Not here. Initially the cost was $125 a month in July 2025. Cut to 10 months later, they've raised the rent numerous times to a grand total of $267 per month, including insurance. There was no reason given and no advanced notice by email. We've never had this happen at one of these units before. We left them in less than a year. Also, 24 hrs access comes with an additional fee, which has never been true at any other locations we've rented from. read more

It's a storage unit right? How bad could it be? The answer is absolutely ridiculous! This place and corporation has the nerve to Charge a $20 late fee and a $64 dollar lien fee for a $.20 balance. Yes folks 20 cents on a balance gets you everything. Absolute garbage! I got called once for this the week before November 1 and was never told of any charges that would be applied after I said I'd pay it with next months rent. Just another company that has your items and slaps fee after fee on it in hopes to auction it off. read more

This review is for Public storage on Old Bridge Rd. In Woodbridge. I canceled my storage locker because1. they raise my rent without notice. 2. The traffic on Old Bridge Rd. Could be so busy that exting the property was next to impossible. And 3. The property is not well maintained. I don't recommend this business. read more

Sadly the manger has an attitude and over charged us on the unit, telling us to go talk to corporate. His staff later admitted it was their fault but nothing they can do about it as the manager has to make any adjustments. He never bothered to call us back after repeated attempts. Corporate Public Storage also simply said it was a local issue we had to deal with him. We moved from VA to CA recently and plan to come back - but we won't use these guys. Also pretty beat up unit inside with just simple dry wall between the units which seems pretty cheap given people are loading lots of furniture and bins in and out all the time? read more

This facility scammed me for almost $200 by telling me I could transfer to a smaller unit in early May 2022. They created a new account instead of transferring my prior account which let them bill me for both units for the full month of May which is not what the sale person on site said would happen. When I went to complain I got the full run around, call corporate, call my district manager, sorry call the local office .... followed finally by the local office manager telling me to "go X myself". My advise don't deal with this location, there are many more in the area and generally stay away from Public Storage. Oh and for the record, I am out my additional $200 but will move out to somewhere else shortly after several years of renting a unit there, and slowly watching my rate increase as is the regular game with all these folks. read more

If you want a unsecured, musty, shabby, roach and ant filled storage space this is your place. The gate has been broken for over a year with no end in sight for repair. Which means it is always open. Except when they lock the gate at 6PM. Which every other Public Storage place has a working gate which you can access until 9. The unit had clear water issues and also had roaches and ants. Word of advice: Steer clear of this place. All the employees are ill equipped and albeit useless to help or refund the money we sunk in this storage location. I was a new public storage customer and ended up choosing this location because of it's proximity and easy access to I-95. Kelly was very kind and responsive with communicating before renting my unit. On location, the staff was very professional and asked a series of questions to ensure I rented the right size unit for my needs. For a storage facility of any kind, I couldn't expect better service and care. A+. The unit itself is clean and appear in decent shape. Overall, a good experience. read more

Although the unit had some minor damage to the drywall, the storage facility on Old Bridge Rd appeared to be clean and well-kept. Mr. Ali assisted with our transfer. Moving for work (I do this frequently!) and needed some storage. Called their online store and was given the number to the area I was wanting. This location has the best customer service! I called and she gave me good advice on the size of the locker I needed. She even walked me to the storage locker and showed me how to use their locks (locks were provided free of charge!). They also run great promotional deals that you keep for the whole time you rent the space (not just for one or two months). It was clean, had a gate to drive onto the property, which they give you a unique pass code for. Great experience. read more

I have had a terrible experience with Public Storage. After emptying my storage unit and paying my last bill I was turned into collections. I have the final receipt and the office stated I did not owe any money but was still turned into collections. Their incompetence, lack of care for fixing their mistakes and inability to return calls after improperly turning me into collections has been a terrible experience. I have calls into the office, calls to the district manager, Ciro Vigilante (703.440.8049) and messages to Public Storage Collections department but they will not provide documentation confirming this is resolved. After over 2 weeks of calling, emailing and stopping in the office, I DO NOT recommend anyone use this company or storage facility. read more

If I could give 0 stars, we would. Maria and Charles in the office were great, their hands were tied by upper management concerning other problems there. Before long Charles was fired and Maria quit because she couldn't keep up with the problems and issues at the location by herself, and management turned a blind eye. Then there was my rent increases! It started out at $165 per month and within 18 months was increased to $199. When I complained I was basically told well, gee, if you don't like it, go find another place. So I'm paying a ridiculous amount of money that is often unsecured because the gate consistently doesn't work, even after I was told it had been replaced. Before the gate was "fixed" The access hours were decreased from '6AM to9PM' to '9AM to 6PM', decreasing access from units by 6 hours per day with no explanation or adjustment of rent for the change. And instead of rent going down, it went up. When I vehemently complained by way of yelling at the manager AND writing to upper management, they all basically said "If you don't like it, move!" I'm looking for another place. read more

The original rental of the unit was easy and convenient. Unfortunately, the manager is not equipped to handle anything outside of "normal" operations. We were unable to vacate our unit on the date we had set after the blizzard of '16, because Public Storage had dumped a pile of snow in front of it, which turned to ice. We understand that blizzards aren't the norm, so we didn't make a big deal out of it, but let the manager know that we would have to continue to rent into the next month. We picked up our belongings two weeks later and paid the balance which was prorated by the manager- not us.The next thing we knew we were being sent to collections because we were in arrears. Considering we had signed up for auto-pay that didn't make sense! Absolutely unresponsive to our inquiries, asked for contact information for a regional manager, and was given a bogus phone number and email. Would never use this storage facility again. read more

If we could give 0 stars, we would. While the employees in the office were typically nice, we needed a safe, secure place to store our items, not talk to a nice person once a month. However, we ended up paying a ridiculous amount of money for an unsecured, unsafe place to store our items and talk to nice, albeit extremely unhelpful, employees. The gate stayed open as it was always broken. The lights were consistently burned out. On 2 evening occasions, we were approached by men just walking through the open gate who asked us if we could spare some money. On another evening occasion, a man in a long coat and backpack walked through and mumbled something to us as we were locking up our unit. We adjusted to these 3 weird situations and only came during the day. The final straw was when we had our lock broken off and they did not take responsibility. After being given the run around on how to deal with a broken into unit, we decided to vacate and gave nearly 3 weeks notice. The day after we cleaned our unit, we received 3 calls from the nice employees telling us we failed to give proper notice and they had to charge us for additional days. My only recommendation is to get out of it if you're currently using it and go somewhere else if you are needing storage. read more
