DO NOT RENT HERE!!! I moved my stock for my small business here in 2021 when it was a different company called Beyond Self Storage. They offered excellent rates, 24 hour access, and very good amenities and service. I moved here specifically to get away from Public Storage. Six months later (as cruel fate would have it) Public Storage bought them out. My rate is now ridiculous (nearly 4x what it was just 2 years ago), the staff leaves at 4:00 pm and the gates lock at 9:00 pm. The bay doors are seldom working as nobody monitors the bay to keep trucks from hitting them. There have been stretches ranging from 2-4 months where the main loading area has limited or no accessibility due to drawn out insurance claims on said consistently broken doors. The elevators are constantly breaking down (I'm on the third floor) often preventing me from conducting business. Yadda Yadda Yadda. This place is a nightmare. Seriously, I cannot urge you strongly enough to rent anywhere but here. This place has held me hostage for far too long and as soon as I am able, I'm outta there forever. While we're at it. Don't rent from any Public Storage location ever. Their location in Laurel (that I moved to this one to get away from) was just as bad. They are the biggest and therefore most soulless and ruthless company in the business. They will start gouging you the second you step through the door. This Public Storage on Whitehead Rd in Woodlawn is not the facility I would recommend. This facility will keep raising your rent once you are moved in .Im not sure when or how long I've been paying $315 a months . But they ask you to put a card on file and before you know your rent will continue to increase . Second,if no card is on file they will call you on the 3rd to give you fair warning before you receive a late fee... But when I was completely moved out of the unit by the first of the month,I went back on the 2nd to pick up pick up the 2 trash bags and the broken vacuum cleaner and to also sweep and clean the unit. When I call them to make them aware I was vacated. The manager Alicia tells me because she saw the 2 trash bags and broken vacuum cleaner in the unit, I owe them $315 for the entire month... It does not make any sense Don't not rent from the Public Storage location in Woodland on Whitehead Rd.. Mrs.Alicia tells me she is still going to charge me $315 and send it to the credit bureau that I have an unpaid debt .Public Storage is a rip off, and will find ways to take your money.The manager was dead set on charging me, and customer service did not care to deal with my issue .Its all about what they can take form you .Try another company other than public storage.Also this location is mice infested. I like the facility and especially the price. Facility is clean and seems well maintained. However on my first move in date which is today my gate code is not working. Nobody is at his or her desk and there is a sign saying they would return by 3:15 PM. It is now 3:40 PM and I have been waiting since 3 PM to gain access to my storage unit that is already paid for and my rental is confirmed. Nobody answers the phone. Nobody returns to their desk. The general line doesn't help either as they only direct me to the property which again nobody seems to be available to help. I called and left a message and they returned my call about 10 minutes later. While unfortunately I didn't get her name, the lady was very nice and helpful. She reset the gate code for me and got it to work again. She provided excellent customer service and it was a pleasure working with her. Overall I would definitely recommend this storage location. Area looks safe. Storage is clean and well maintained. Building looks brand new. The rental was easy to do online and their price was the best I found around the area. read more

I'm not sure what rock some of these viewers came from under but this place is totally unjust. I've be renting for years with no problem. They now appear to be unstable, changing the name and management frequently. I'm furious about the rent increases twice a year, particularly at a time when access in/out of the building is not easily accessible. The doors are always broken "due to driver's error's and it seems like I'm paying for it. They don't deserve 1 star! read more
