Lately, we have been stopping at this Publix location when in the area. The store is always clean, but what amazes me the most is the friendly customer service. Somehow, everyone that we interacted with made us feel like we were their favorite customers. The service is what sticks in my mind. We usually visit the Deli and produce area. This Publix location seemed slightly smaller than other locations, and perhaps a tad less organized. It wasn't as easy to shop here as it is at other stores. That being said, the isles were clean and well stocked. I was able to find what I needed eventually, it just required a bit more effort than usual. I only interacted with one employee upon checkout, who was quick and friendly. Lastly, as insignificant as this may seem, I was disappointed that there was no ice in the soft drink dispenser at the deli. The line was way too long to wait to ask, and I didn't see any other employees around, so I gave up. Just a heads up for the store. This particular Publix is located in Altamonte Springs, Florida and is definitely a great supermarket to check out if you are in the general area and need to grab a few items. Publix has become the leading supermarket here in Florida and there is definitely good reason for this. They put a huge focus on customer service, they have a lot of great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we cannot forget their subs (affectionately called "Pub Subs"). I am originally from New Jersey and it is a bit strange to say that some of the area's better subs are from Publix, but it is true. My daughter was visiting from New Jersey and a sub from Publix (which she did call a "Pub Sub") was one of the tastes of home that she was craving. My go-to sub here is usually their Italin sub or their roast beef sub and I wouod recommend upgrading to using the Boar's Head meat. This particular Publix location had a good overall vibe and I would definitely recommend a visit here. read more

My work location is close to this Publix (I usually shop at the Publix at Lake Mary Pointe), and I ALWAYS get the "Buy 2 Get 1 free" Diet Coke, Coke Zero, & Ginger Ale ($9.99 ea.). I get one of each & have NEVER had any issues at my regular store.....pay for two, 3rd one free...... until Now. I mentioned to the cashier that it didn't take off the 3rd, & she said "it's only with Pepsi products". I said "that's not true, but it has the signs there, & it doesn't specify....I get these all the time for the firm I work for". The Mgr. Krista got involved, and now it's becoming a big deal. The bagger guy came back and said "there are signs there stating Buy 2 Get 1. The Mgr. opens the Publix newspaper....Really? Are you seriously trying to make your case? I have to get to work. The Mgr. says "the Coke products are B2G1, so do you want another Diet Coke"? Now I'm already ticked, I said NO, I have to go.......they removed the $9.99 from my ticket & removed the Ginger Ale from my cart.....and I left "still ticked off". This is a review on the Mango Sunrise Chantilly cake. It's like the original Chantilly cake except that it has sunrise food color added to it. I didn't think to ask if it has mango slices in it; big disappointment, there isn't any mango slices in it. Really love this location and the team that works here. Publix is a pretty standard staple in Florida, but not all of them are created equally. I've rarely been unable to get exactly what I'm looking for here. They'll even run across the street to the other Publix to pick something up for you if they have it over there. I'm often going to the managers to let them know of an employee that has gone above and beyond. Which, by the way, I highly recommend doing as it's rare for them to hear what they are doing right. If you want them to know they are doing things right, let them know! It takes an extra 90 seconds and honestly you can spare the time once in a while! Plus it'll make you feel good too. Reinvent. Reinvigorate. Make you think of a supermarket? Me neither. But this Publix has been managed to weather the competition, e.g. Albertsons and SuperValu (both have come and gone) and Whole Foods(Amazon), and its own sister store across the street! This Publix of course has the well-known and well-loved Pub Sub and BOGOs. But it also has some of the friendliest employees. Additionally, they've added both café and Asian bowl sections over the years I've been patronizing the store. The fact I can stop here for prescriptions, fresh produce, grass fed half and half and lightbulbs is a huge plus! Rain checks for out of stock sale items are still a thing here and they honor competitor coupons (with restrictions of course). If you're in the area, this is the Publix you want to stop at. PS The indoor Redbox Movie location is definitely convenient. read more

I have been in store a few times as a customer and a few times as a vendor for Pepsi, and I have to say it's a pretty good Publix. Like most Publix's you can always find the great buy one get one deals and always get that awesome customer service that Publix is known for which is great. One cool thing about this Publix is that they have Poke Bar which I heard was a delicious meal. The few managers I have run into are very nice and always ready to help in way they can. read more

Driving back from shopping, I stopped into this publix to catch up on items for the week. Wandered through all the aisles getting snacks and found the mason jars I needed to use to store stuff with. (It was the last one on the shelves - yay!). Always time to see what great BOGO specials are on. Picked up detergent on BOGO and cheese that was 2 for $6 (nomnomnom). Was hungry so a quick stop by the deli and I got the Asian BBQ beef bowl which I got with white rice, tender beef, lettuce, thinly sliced carrots and a crumbled thing I am not sure what it was. I am astounded there are seven Publix stores within a 15 minute drive from this store. There is even a huge Publix store right across the street. I have watched this maldistribution evolve over the past twenty years. The politics and corporate process needs more thoughtful analysis. The supermarket is the center of any community. More equitable distribution of Publix stores is an important factor in the growth of local Florida economies. Grocery deserts can destroy communities, especially in this current economy and pandemic. Kudos for availability of recycling for foam trays and plastic bags. As a side note, May is Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month. Every Publix has been a respectful and safe environment for this Asian shopper. Costco has a lot to learn. read more

This was my first time ever seeing a Publix with the Asian kitchen in the deli. Majority just sell sushi but this one had ramen!

Definitely one of the better Publix stores north of Orlando. Pretty big, too. As soon as you walk in you can tell it's bigger than your average store. In fact, it kind of looks like a mall the way it's designed. Produce section is ginormous compared to most stores, though the Deli and Bakery departments are deceptively large. I do like the fact this store actually has a little food court section where you can sit down and eat inside the store. I wish EVERY Publix had this option! Wine section is pretty large in the back right corner. Beer selection is about the same as most stores. Publix isn't the place you go to for quality craft beer (unless you want mainstream stuff). Everything else is pretty standard. Aisles here a little longer than the average store, but most people might not notice. I'm not a fan of having the dairy aisle all the way to the left. Usually, that's where the frozen food section and meat departments are. Lots of checkout registers here, but rarely is there more than two or three regular registers open and one or two express lanes. I always see the front end manager and other supervisors bagging. It's nice they're pitching it, but it tells me they're short staffed. I'd be more impressed by every register having a bagger at all times. One thing I like about this store is that there's a secret pickup/dropoff lane to the left of the front door. It's like going to the airport. I do Instacart at this store and a lot of times all i have to do is pickup some bags ready to go. This saves me time and having to navigate the parking lot. Speaking of which, the parking lot here is rather a pain. Trying to get in and out is something of a maze game because every lane is one way only. There aren't that many cart corrals, either. Plus, they have shrubbery at the end of every aisle, so unless you're high up in a truck or SUV you can't see if there's traffic coming. I'd imagine there must be a lot of near-miss accidents here. Lastly, why is there always a cop car parked outside? At first I thought it was just an anamoly, but now that I come here all time I can't help but notice it every time. Does this store have a wicked shoplifting problem? In a nice neighborhood like this? Publix should just hire their own internal security/LPD. Seeing a cop car parked out front EVERY TIME I VISIT is rather off-putting. Either they're trying to scare their customers into behaving, or they really do have a problem with crime in and around this store. Lose the cop and I'll bump this up to five stars, Publix. read more

Out of a lot of Publix markets I've been to this one i love has amazing employees, clean and have 2 employees sanitizing all shopping carts upon entering. The deli ladies are funny and have the best happy attitude ever love them! They have a pick up grocery section behind customer care counter, beautiful flowers and fully stocked. read more

This is my second favorite Publix in the area. I have no idea why but they're prices always seem to be slightly lower than other Publix's in the area. The produce area is nice and large, and the produce always seems to be fresh. I do wish they had a larger bakery section, maybe it's the layout but it seems small and I always have a hard time finding the bakery items I'm looking for. The employees seem nice and they are good about opening registers right away when lines start to build up. The customer service area needs to be larger and it's an inconvenient location. read more

I came to this Publix liquor store looking for a very specific bourbon. The staff working there that day was very helpful. But they did not have what I was looking for. It's small, but well stocked. If you're looking for some of the more popular brands of alcohol, then this would be fine. But if you're willing to try some new products, Total Wine down the street might be the place for you. If all you need are the basics, then this place will suit you fine. It is pretty difficult to compete with another liquor store just down the street that is the size of a grocery store. read more

I really wanted to fall in love with this specific store because I love Publix in general and it's so close to where I live but the past few times I've been here, it's just been mehhh. The store is pretty clean so that a plus, it seems they are always crowded and it doesn't matter what time of day it is so be ready when it comes to parking. (It's much easier to park and walk than to hold up a line because of a space that may become available) I see this happen all the time. They don't carry the Alyssa vegan cookies that I usually look for. I need to make a special request on that one. The bogos are pretty much the same everywhere else. Those come in handy. The customer service is hit or miss. The first couple of times I've had some very friendly cashiers, the last two weren't as nice. Overall, this Publix is okay. When I come here I like to get in and get out which is not something I normally feel when shopping at other Publix's. read more

This Publix finally added a liquor store about a year ago and I was very happy because it is close to me and I do not have to drive to Albertsons or ABC liquor store anymore but instead when I do my shopping I can go next door and purchase some beer or alcoholic beverage here. This is not your usual big size store, it is tiny but yet has what you are looking for and the decor is very nice. The staff is also very friendly and willing to help you out. I like this liquor store and will buy my liquor from here. Price are fair and sometimes they have coupons like $5 off a purchase of $25 or more. read more

First, let me be clear that this dismal one-star rating is for the pharmacy at this location and not the grocery store. The customer service and friendliness is terrible in this pharmacy. Several times this year I've encountered rude and disrespectful pharmacy staff, and a "can't do" attitude. I don't go to this location all that much (maybe once a year?), though I'm really not sure why that is. It's a nice store and is on the level with such newer Publix locations as the one in Lake Mary (on Lake Mary Blvd.) and the one near where Fairbanks Ave. and 17-92 meet. While nearby this location on Sunday and in need of a few basic items, I stopped by here to pick up said items. It was a positive experience. The store layout is similar to that of my other favorite Publix stores, so everything I was there for was fairly easy to locate. The next time I'm here, I'll try to pay more attention to detail and see if things mentioned in others' reviews remain accurate. For example, I now wonder if the "hybrid" soup and salad bar that Lisa W. mentioned still exists. A quibble that I do have with this location pertains to its parking lot. It sometimes is difficult to navigate it, and the confusion is at least slightly increased because other people driving around in it likely are experiencing the same thing. Oh, well. This is a great Publix location! First, it's HUGE. Add to that, they have a Crispers hybrid inside next to the deli counter so you can pick up some awesome soups and salads. Thumbs up! I place my order, do some shopping and swing by to pick up my bag of goodies. Staff is always very friendly, produce is top notch, nice bakery and seafood case.
