We were in Florida again and we could not leave without eating at Publix!! They are absolutely known for their pub subs, but my favorite thing to eat at Publix is the meal!! As always, everyone was so warm and welcoming and service was incredible. I got the combo meal with hot and spicy breaded chicken wings, Mac n cheese, sweet potato fries, and cornbread! I always get a side of Buffalo hot sauce to dip also!! The chicken wings were AMAZING - no lie, publix chicken wings are my favorite chicken wings EVER. They're crispy yet juicy, the seasoning is phenomenal, and they're always so so fresh! The Mac n cheese is very creamy and well balanced with flavors! The sweet potato fries were a little too crispy for me and a little bit too salty also. Nonetheless, a solid to go meal that's always satisfying and delicious! Would def recommend trying this out if you've already had the pub subs! read more

This publix is closer to my house but I don't normally go here. The store itself is outdated and it has a stale vibe to it. The workers have all been uppity when I visit. It's sad, I've been shopping at Publix for a very long time and I travel a lot so I've shopped at other grocery stores so I can compare and Publix always use to be the best. But that's starting to change. It started with Publix brand items, they stopped selling many of them, and others they hardly have in stock or enough in stock, but recently their customer service has started falling off to the point where there's one store I won't go to because the cashier is just flat out rude. There was always a noticeable difference between Publix and other stores but now there's not much difference in a very short time frame it's just a matter of time before there's no difference. Had to make a quick trip to Publix from a nearby park to pick up a few things for a nearby birthday party. We quickly found some ice and disposable utensils. The bakery attendant cheerfully gave us a cake slicer missing from the Publix birthday cake picked up earlier in the day. (to be fair, I think one of the kids at the party sneaked it away somehow!) Cashing out was easy. Every bite of the cake was eaten! Thanks for making a rush trip easy and possible so our grand daughters' birthday party ran smoothly. read more

I have nothing but good things to say about this establishment every single public. I've been to has been amazing but this one really takes the cake!!! The floors are always clean and the workers always enthusiastic and ready to serve you the shelves organize, and the cookies for your children, the price is always right. We are loyal Publix customers. We love our store in Sanford on Weldon. The store we visited this evening will be the last time we are at this location. We went in this evening for a quick order at the deli, no one acknowledged us or said hello. There were three employees walking around and cleaning and not taking the time to greet us. We eventually left to get something else to eat. The only reason we are proving one star was to our cashier, Luis. He was friendly, nice, sense of humor. There is a reason, well, several reasons that I can point directly at to explain the rise of Publix to the very definition of what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. First, Publix has amazing customer service. You are continuously greeted by the employees as you walk through the supermarket. They also will address any question or concern you might have. Customer service is just one thing that sets Publix apart. Another thing is their weekly BOGO (buy one, get on free) deals. Every week they have a slew of great deals. We also cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as pub subs. These are great subs. One of my main go to subs their Italian. I also like their roast beef and cheese. My daughter, who is not a huge sandwich fan, even likes their chicken tenders subs. My son, who does like sandwiches, likes their Italian sub, as well. Kind of weird to realize that some of the best subs come from a supermarket, but Publix definitely delivers. Oh, another thing that I am a fan of is the Publix diet iced tea, available over by the deli section. The deli is also pretty impressive. You can get cakes and whatnot, but I really like their bread and they also have pizza dough do that you can make your own homemade pizza. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket and it is my go to supermarket. If you have been to Publix, I am sure you will understand. If you are not familiar with Publix supermarket, try them once and you will be a fan. Publix has come a long way since they began here in Florida. They have expanded throughout the southeast and continue to grow. As I said, I do recommend Publix, definitely the best supermarket around. read more

Publix is one of those places where they go above and beyond to give great service. During the pandemic, they are not doing returns or exchanges even if the item has never been opened but it is an odd time in the world so I'll let it pass. I like to wander around even when I have things in mind that I need because you might come across a good BOGO or special which can be the best thing to try out or stock up on. During the pandemic, rules were in place to assist with people not hoarding items and they really did do a great job at ensuring that foods and items were quickly stocked for everyone. Lately I have gotten into getting more of the Greenwise items which offer more organic and "better for you" items which is a great alternative and the pricing can be a bit higher but not as high as some other organic items. Sometimes the Publix closer to home is simply horrid with parking so I drive down closer to Maitland to take advantage of a slightly smaller Publix which makes for a less stressful experience so the longer drive is at times worthwhile. read more

Always a pleasure shopping here, although some times it hits you in the wallet. Need to be an aggressive bargain hunter with BOGOS and other sales. Its convenient and mucj less stress than going to WalMart buy prices are more expensive. People are SUPER friendly and just today I was in express line when a manager yelled "Sir over here" and waved me to the customer servoce desk to get checked out. We had a funny convo about our kid's and she was excited about all the fruit I was buying apparently. Love this place, can get busy at lunch and peak hours buy never crazypants like WalMart or Target. My son loves getting his free cookie too which is always a plus and they have great produce which i don't mind paying a little extra $$$ for. High 5 to all the staff!!! read more

There was a Publix employee in front of me at the deli counter for a sandwich/salad. The employee took 20 minutes to order a sandwich while talking to all of the employees about his personal life on his day off. I don't care if your son got soap in his mouth last night. In addition the public employee on his day off is in the store without a mask. I was finally able to order my salad to find out the employee didn't close the lid tight and seal it and the whole thing spilt all over the floor. I then was told I need to wait in line with 15 people in it. The line is backed up because of that at the Publix employee talking about his personal life for 20 minutes to all the other Publix employees. read more

Sad service and then to top it off the expensive almond cream I bought had an expiration of 4/15/23 and it was 5/14/23! Then I called customer service only to be told I can bring it back and they'll exchange it! No apologizes or we'll check to make sure there's correct expiration dates! When you go to the deli department they will automatically push you to the already sliced meats which I do not like I'd rather have my cold cuts or cheeses cut in front of me so I know and I can assure that is fresh, but this person at the deli today kept insisting on me Already cut. Publix is the SAKs of grocery stores. Always friendly staff and top notch service. Store is kept exceptionally clean.

If you frequent Publix, you know what to expect. Extremely friendly staff, clean stores, good selection, and of course their famous BOGO offerings each week. I'm typically in this store after dropping my son off from school, so rather early in the morning. I've had times where just one register is open and a few people all want to check out. They have been quick to get customers over to the customer service line to head off problems here. The trade off that you have in this store is the size. It is in a great location, but the land is at a premium. There will be a few things that you will miss from the full blown Publix experience. I notice this in small ways with things like their bread selection, some freezer options, and a bit of the produce. Nothing you will severely miss, just know that going in. Overall, a great store, one that I frequent regularly. read more

This Publix is sit on a small town called Maitland located about 20-25 minutes from Orlando and was built on the site of what use to be a very old hotel and a Chinese restaurant, as a matter of fact i remember when the store was being built very well. The staff is friendly here and the service is awesome, it is smaller store then your typical Publix but they have everything you need from fresh produce to breads and pastry's in the bakery to a deli with there delicious sweet tea and fried chicken or subs. They also have a pharmacy and are open regular hours just like a lot of the other stores near by, being that it is a smaller store the aisle are not as wide and the store is pretty busy around 5-6pm with everyone getting off work but if the lines get to long they make sure to bring over extra help to open registers to get people in and out. Just like all the other Publix's this is a great store with great employees and service. They are located just of Orlando ave ( 17-92) in Maitland and right in the same plaza you can also get a cup of coffee from Starbucks or even eat some Chinese food, there is also a few other business. This location has only been open for a few years but has that feeling and look inside and out from your typical old school Publix back from the days. I do all my shopping here every week at least 2-3 times a week and love coming here to shop. I recommend this store to anyone. read more

Best. Publix. EVER!!! I ran in yesterday after my chiropractor appointment to just grab some bread. I ended up going to the deli too and lo and behold 3 people were helping me... there was ample staff on the counter and ALL of them friendly and awesome. They were great sales people too. They did it they way it is to be done... I ended up getting more than I planned, but I am glad I did! This is the way Publix SHOULD be. The store was clean. Everywhere I went, someone was asking me if I needed help, or just saying hello. I got the bread I needed, and it was FRESH! Not baked yesterday like at MY Publix! The desserts looked amazing too! The cashier was so friendly. She didn't JUST say hello and goodbye, but held a conversation! I found it hard to leave this store, and I HATE grocery shopping. This is out of my way, but this will be my new Publix. I even stopped to see the store manager on the way out and let him know that, THIS is the best Publix. That I will be doing my shopping here from now on and they are doing a GREAT job. read more

I shopped at this location regularly when I lived in Maitland for 2 years. I came from the Baby Publix in College Park, so I was used to the smaller Publix store format. Somehow, this location does it better than both the Shine Ave and College Park locations. They have a great selection of regular and gourmet items, friendly deli staff that gets you in and out quickly and nice bakery staff. I've never seen them run out of any sale items and the produce is always A+. Check out is always super fast here, a bonus. Publix in Maitland Orlando Ave has the best suishi. The suishi chef in this store is always so accommodating. The suishi is nothing lie the other stores. The rolls are spectacular and suishi bowls he makes are so delicious. I wish he worked in Oviedo or trained others. The rolls are tight and absolutely made with every detail. read more

So Today after sweating to the oldies at RDV (another review for another time) I decided to go to the small Publix by my house. 5:30 traffic, needed gas and no patience for running around. I Usually only stop for last sec incidentals at this Publix since it's on my drive most days. Today I needed great meal items quick! Today I won the lottery!! At every turn BO GO, 2for1, and a clerk in every department. Clean concise shelves with perhaps fewer items but many brand choices to pick from. It was like they knew I was coming. Not creepy "how can I help you" but... "I see you are getting cucumbers, tomorrow they go on sale." "I notice your considering Natura Chardonnay... we are out of it and the special BO GO free ends today, let me get you a rain check from customer service." They unpacked my buggy at check out and asked ahead of time if I wanted things packed and pair a certain way ( I'm a freak about that cuz unpacking and contamination) paper or plastic or both. Do I have any coupons? and the best one (cuz it was rainy) "Please Show me to your car and I will help you unpack" "Please be careful on your drive home and we welcome you back soon" No tip, No Hassle and no need to return the cart (I have been a victim of buggy crash damage to my car and it's maddening) So Thank you Publix for putting the caring back into my shopping experience. I feel a bit more at home with the local feel, similar to your corner bodega in NY. I can't even be mad in this Publix because literally the second I cross the threshold there's an incredibly cheesy/amazing Culture Club song on. It's not the usual lame Publix playlist (i.e.- Shania Twain crap... you know what I mean), it's like the soundtrack to every iconic 80s movie plays in here. The music is slightly louder than the other stores too so thankfully the old biddy's scootin' around can't hear me mumble "never gonna give you uppppp" when my boy Rick Astley comes on. I'm writing specifically regarding the excellent service that I'm now receiving since I switched ALL of my rx's from Target to Publix. This was in response to the awful customer service that I had started to receive at the Casselberry. FL Target, as well as the latest security breach, which affected me, caused my bank to put a freeze on my account just days before Christmas. I'm over Target now and am wondering why I held on to going there for so long. I'm one happy camper regarding the level of caring that I ALWAYS receive from Publix. This is the best Publix I have ever shopped at. I've lived all over orlando for over 14 years and have shopped at many supermarkets. This Publix in particular is always clean, regularly stocked well in the a la carte departments (bakery, deli, etc), and has a great staff! The hybrid sushi made here is amazing - fresh and well stocked. The sushi chef never misses a chance to greet me in the morning when I pick up my lunch 3 days a week. Publix may have a slightly higher price tag than other supermarkets, but that surplus is paying for the quality experience you receive when you shop here! And who can beat those BOGOs?! read more

I have given the deli multiple attempt to redeem themselves bc I do love publix subs but they have stuck a nerve with me! Everytime I order my subs online they never have them done on time or give me the wrong sub. Today I had a wrap and when I pulled my wrap out they had laid a wrap on top of the other one and then squeezed it together. There was mayo and mustard everywhere. There was no way I could eat this. My previous visit I had a lady tell me they had no onions and that she would have to go in the back. So I told her that's fine I'll wait. She then took what seemed like 10 mins in the fridge which can be seen from where I was standing. She came back to tell me there are no onions. Mind you this was at 11 in the morning! Before lunch rush. Another time I wasn't paying attention and asked for a ultimate and when I went back to my work I have an Italian sandwich! Serious publix!! I can't believe the crap I have witnessed here. Management needs to hire new people at the deli! They take forever, that's why I started ordering online and still they are garbage. I am one customer this Publix will no longer have to worry about. My experience was very unfortunate in the deli w/Christopher. I called to order subs for me and a coworker so I could just pick up and go due to me working out of the way and traffic being terrible on 17-92. I got there 20 min after I called and only one sub was ready and no they were not slammed with customers only two people were in line with two sub makers working. I waited patiently for the other sub to be made because I understand things do happen. I got all the way back to work and BOTH subs were wrong.after bite 3 I realized my sub was loaded with mayo (which is great to eat when you have a lactose food allergy). I don't understand because the same person who took the order over the phone was the same person who made the subs. I wanted no cheese because I have a dairy allergy and just mustard as my condiment I got extra mayo. My coworkers sub had no olives and extra mayo he got extra olives and no mayo. I called to complain about my order and was hung up on by the one and only Christopher. I went all the way back to Publix through traffic to only be given a refund of my money by a manager name Solomon who also wanted me to stand back in line(which at this time there was a line of people) and wait to re-oder the subs.  If you order subs over the phone then they have theorder sheet and in my opinion a good customer service manager would have been a little more prompt in making sure I was in and out the store seeing I wasted another 25 min getting back over to the store. All that needed to be done was to have someone that know's how to read the oder sheet remake the subs (rather than making me stand back in a line).  In the end I walked out with 50min total wasted time (coming back and forth plus waiting on unfinished pre-ordered subs) and no food for lunch. My suggestion to anyone with a food allergie is make sure you double check any orders from THIS Publix there staff does not seem to listen to food orders all that well even when checking off the boxes as it is being order and only having to simply read the checked boxed and  put what is checked off on the order. read more
