    Publix in Atlantic Station, Atlanta

I was nearby and waiting for the Millennium Gate Museum to open and it turns out that they're still closed for COVID (July 2020). I popped in to pick up a drink and a snack. This Publix is much like others. Bright aisles, well lit, pleasant associates. It is a little smaller than many but they seem to still have the usual stuff including grocery, deli, frozen, butcher and such. I got some sliced Boar's Head from the deli and a case of soda. The young lady who rang up my purchase was pleasant. The shop does have an underground parking deck if you can figure it out. I was on foot. Paw Patrol themed Birthday Cake
    Raven Q.

This review is for the Bakery at the Atlantic Station Publix. My son' birthday was a few weeks ago and I asked what type of cake he wanted and he said Paw Patrol and sprinkles lol. I have a baker we go too but she was booked and I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off trying to figure out where I could get a cake on short notice from and boom! I remembered Publix makes personalized cakes. So the night before I place my order for my son's Paw Patrol cake and it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!!! I couldn't have been happier with the cake I was presented, especially for such a great price and at such short notice. Not to mention, anything for my lil guy and the cake was the highlight of his day and there's no price I could ever put on that. The cake itself was a vanilla cake with vanilla custard inside and sprinkles added for color and on the outside a full paw patrol theme with the cutest Marshall toy car on it that actually rolls and your child can play with. The cake was delicious, not too sweet and it was very moist and lasted perfectly in the refrigerator. SHOUT OUT TO THE BAKER THAT MADE MY BABIES CAKE!!! You are a SUPERSTAR!!

I came to the Atlantic Station Publix bakery for a same day bday cake although Kia, is her name, wasn't able to accommodate my request (must be 24 hours in advance for customaries) she was still so very pleasant and polite to me. She went above and beyond to offer alternatives and I can also tell she runs a tight ship, her workspace was so neat and cleanly.

Really enjoy coming to this location. Customer service is always great here. I work near this location so I order alot of sheet cakes for different events at work and I have never had an issue. Every time I order , it's always ready and correct. The bakery does a really great job with the cakes and heh always taste really good . If you want balloons , you have to have them filled in the back by produce and the team back there is always happy to stop what they are doing and take care of that for you. This location is located inside of Atlantic Station so if you don't want to pay for parking out front or can't find a parking out front, you can park in the parking garage and take the elevator up right in front of Publix. The staff is always happy to help bring your groceries down to the garage or wherever your car is

So few times, can anyone say spending money is a fun experience when it's a necessity, yet publix did its job above and beyond . Mr. George would be proud of this store, from cleanliness to product availability and, above all, excellent customer service. Thank you to Kaleaf and Kristina for reminding me why I love shopping at Publix!

    Bad meat

So this publix is smaller than most but convenient for those that live nearby. I like to run here for a quick dinner. Publix sandwich, wings, rotisserie chicken, prepped dinners(the lobster pasta is great), or the meatballs(cook yourself) are great. There is bike parking and tables out front to sit. There is a parking garage underneath free for two hours or you can park up top with the street parking but it's overpriced. That out do the way, I would stay away from the ground turkey, ground beef(outside of their prepared meals) bacon and sandwich meat(by the bacon not the fresh cut). It never fails every time I come here I see gray meat. It's a little ridiculous because this publix has a high volume of people, so you would think it wouldn't be too hard to check dates on meat when half of them are gone, but I literally walk past it on the way to get yogurt every time and see gray meat. Beware!!!!!!!

I seem to forget to check out Buford Farmers Market on a regular basis when I'm looking for Asian…read morefoods. I went this past week because I was looking for 2 specific items that I wasn't able to find at 2 other large Asian markets. Someone had suggested this Market because of the extensive ethnic choices. It has Asian (Korean, Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Filipino), European, South American, Hispanic and American items. There are sections that have premade Asian meals, fresh seafood, extensive fruits and vegetables, frozen foods, pantry staples, bakery items, almost anything you might want. It's a large market and you could spend hours going up and down the aisles exploring. I was surprised to find they even had a favorite pop that I only thought I could get in Michigan. Now I know that I can go here and get it, without having to have it ordered online. It can get busy on the weekends when everyone is doing their weekly shopping, but I went later in the day and was able to find parking and not bump into people or long lines.

I have lived near Buford Highway Farmers Market for 28 years. I have visited at least two to three…read moretimes a week. BHFM pretty much had its "Glory Years" 10 or 15 years ago. It has slowly gone downhill since then. I have bought their quart container of squeezed pink grapefruit juice many times, it used to be very reasonable. For the past couple of months the price has risen to $13.99 a quart !!! Whole Foods has the same thing for $8.99. Other sources are no where near $13.99. That's price gouging. All the daily house hold products are also much higher than Target, Walmart, Kroger, Publix. I cannot believe people pay the prices. Unless they are on special, berry's and fruit's are more expensive than Publix or Kroger and they look like they are second or third tier quality. The same for the vegetables, some literally still have dirt on them and are definitely poor quality. I bought sushi the other day at the counter in the back, for the price it was great. I decided to buy extra Wasabi, there were three kinds on the counter. None had a price, not on the container, not on the shelf. I asked the person behind the counter what were the prices, they said they didn't know, I would have to carry the wasabi literally diagonally across the store and get a price. The person couldn't call and ask ?!?! How does an employee not notice these items are not priced !?!? I have always loved the cafeteria, their entrees are delicious. Now some of the trays have nothing in them and some have been sitting in the trays and have a skim on the top because they haven't even stirred them up obviously for hours. 40% off after 4;30pm, great deal, but half or more of the food is gone, by 5pm they have pretty much closed up. The Mex part is closed at 4:30pm. So sad, a great resource, just about ruined. They also used to have cooking classes, which were great. They haven't had a class in years. Today I go in and by 4 items, the lines are long, so I took it to the quick checkout near the entrance. A person in front of me had over 10 items, each bag was like 5 pounds of vegetables each. He was not an employee, be paid cash. I asked the cashier so the line is no longer 10 items or less? She shrugged her shoulders !!! There used to be 10 items or less registers, at least two. Both of those have been long gone. It looks like BHFM is adding self checkout, the registers are installed and have sat there 2 years !?!? Still not open. With skyrocketing grocery prices and the competition in the area BHFM management needs to wake up. The outside isn't looking its best either. I hate to write this, but come on BHFM !!! Yes, there are some good deals, especially specials, but they are no where near the quality / price of Whole Foods or Dekalb Farmers Market. The same for H MART, I want competitive pricing and quality products, as a local, the "novelty" effect means nothing to me.
