Wow. . .they are finally here. .and I'm not too impressed!! I must have been said hello to at least 10 times, hot bar was less than good, the steak I bought was not that tender. I expected to be wow'd. I was ok'd. This store doesn't seem very busy. I would have thought the Publix launch would have been huge in Charlotte. Harris Tetter has blown away their deal on the $10 gas card. They haven't done anything from a marketing perspective (i.e. pricing and deals) that have me wanting to come back. I'll keep going to HT with an ocassional trip to the Publix for stuff on sale. Publix--I'm underwhelmed. read more

The people there are very nice and helpful. however when I was getting help from one of the members of the produce staff, one of the managers or supervisors named Chris I believe commented on how long the attendant was helping me. The Salad Bar... I look forward to getting off of work and making myself a salad off of a fresh salad bar at a nice grocery store. Today, I was severely disappointed. Half of the cold items were completely out, and the lettuce had not been refilled and was wilted. I would buy this 3-4 times per week if this Publix made this a priority. And, I didn't come late, I came around 6pm. A fellow customer near me also was planning to get a salad, but took one look and walked away. read more

We are so glad Publix made it's way into North Carolina. We love shopping here every week for our groceries ... all the produce is beyond fresh, and we've found the pricing & sales to be way better than any of the other local stores. The staff is insanely friendly ... my mother-in-law (from up North) went here one day while my wife and I were at work to pick up some supplies and said she couldn't believe that the workers all said "hello" and asked her if she needed and help. Publix is roaring into Charlotte, and it's about time. I am so happy that they crossed over that state line and moved closer to my house. It's a store that has such a great, open feeling to it with friendly people everywhere you turn. I never thought I'd write a review on a grocery store but I was so impressed with the customers service, cleanliness, organization, prices, produce, meat selection, and was not busy at all. The best check out experience at any retail place. They unloaded my food onto the conveyor belt, bagged it, then the bagger asked if I needed him to bring my cart out and load my grocery. read more

I don't normally give reviews for grocery stores- but this deserves one! I moved to Charlotte from PA not too long ago so this was a new place for me to visit, and boy I'm glad I stopped! I pass 3 other grocery stores (if not more) just to go to Publix. The store is so neat, the employees are super friendly and helpful, the Bakery is better than The local shops I've been to in CLT, and the produce is top notch! Did I mention the store is so neat & clean? I don't mind paying a little more for groceries there - it's worth it. Not to mention no silly reward card things to have on your key chain. If you do a 2/3.00 deal and only buy 1 you get it at $1.50- not the full price. Way to go Publix you've impressed me! read more

Publix is my go to grocery store for everything I need. They have good and fair prices, their produce selection is huge with it all in good shape and nothing going bad. I have only been in the Charlotte area for a few months now and haven't been satisfied with a grocery store until now! Will be coming here for anything that I need. It's no Wegman's. Bakery is excellent. Everything else is what you would expect. They push taking your purchases to your car for you, but they can be borderline obnoxious when you say, "no thank you". Service of staff is very inconsistent - sometimes above and beyond and other times careless, sloppy, and non-caring. Overall, it use to be better and friendlier. Excellent service for flowers and balloons. Cleanliness is good including bath-rooms. read more

I think this may be my last time shopping at your Publix I live in Ballantyne so you're more closer to me but I can't get past everytime I go in the produce it's that same employee giving me a gruesome very mean dirty look his eyes follow me everytime.. this time my fiancé was with me and he saw it for himself so I explained should I tell the manager that the man makes me feel soooo uncomfortable with the way he stares me down and make a disgusted face at me each time he sees me or should I just ignore :( .. unfortunately there's no way for me to ignore. I'm vegan I have to use the produce section so it's best for me to not attend this Publix anymore .. I'm just not use to someone looking at me as if they wanna kill me each time I go into the produce section.. everyone else there is normally soooo nice which is why I always enjoyed going in there! I mean he didn't always use to work there I didn't start seeing that man in there until maybe 2 or 3 months ago. I don't know if he's staring at me because he hates me or because he hates his job but whatever it is I don't mind driving to another public just so I don't have to deal with the awkward uncomfortable feeling. read more

it's a very nice store but had issues here. I always would get my kids cakes at their bakery and they are expensive but tasty. Last time, they forgot to make it twice and then the cupcakes (cake) started falling apart. We called and they did refund us but how do you mess up three times? They also said we were not the only ones to complain about this. For an "upscale" store, it's sad. I will be going to Harris Teeter moving forward. read more

Basically OK. Over the top customer service during opening month. Time will tell if that's the norm or if it will revert to established market (Fla.) style. Bakery has been a bit disappointing but that may be due to start up challenges. Parking is a big problem except during non peak times. read more

Just moved to south Charlotte from out of state recently and after "shopping" around for a grocery store, Publix is the winner. Love everything about this grocery store from the way all the employees are so friendly, they give you coupons for free items if you let them take your groceries to your car, great selection of ready made food (sandwiches, salads, chicken, pastas, chinese, etc). read more

This Publix is HUGE, the aisles are wide, and 99% of the staff are over the top nice and helpful. Their bourbon salmon and sushi are fantastic and they have an amazing selection of every kind of food. read more

So glad they are here in Charlotte now! Outstanding customer service, fresh produce with great prices (on the produce). They are pricier than Harris Teeter on many items I buy regularly, like ground turkey breast, dairy items etc., HOWEVER, if you shop their sales the right way, you can save a bundle over and above Teeter in a skinny second. I'll be shopping both the save the most money to be honest. Publix will also take Teeter coupons, so when Teeter sends out the $10 of $50 spend, you can use that at Publix, and I have, twice since they have opened. As a sushi fan, but not one to buy much at the grocery store unless we are in such a hurry to eat, and eat something healthy, FAST, but I will say this, I have already bought it twice at Publix and must say, it's not Jade or 18, but for $9 it was awesome! Huge roll, fresh fish, rice wasn't stale...grocery store sushi? That's good? Who knew! Their staff is friendly, always helpful, the bag boys take your cart to the car. We lived in Florida for 5 years before moving here in 2004 and besides my friends, I missed Publix the most! So excited they have opened in my area in Charlotte, I'll be there quite often! read more
