Welcome to Dania Beach, FL (2 of 2) I don't know where they are headquartered, but I definitely associate Publix with (South) Florida. They have also been serving the Metro Atlanta area for a fairly long time at this juncture. Along the shopping area on the south side of Dania Beach Blvd. between Federal Highway and the beach is this Publix store. There is plenty of parking and it's a nice store both inside and out. There are some items, mostly groceries, where you'll want to opt for a respectable full-service supermarket and not Dollar Tree, which I will also patronize while in Dania Beach. I would say that, in terms of prices and service, Publix would appeal to those who like Safeway and Vons on the West Coast, and it seems to mimic the same price point levels. If you look around, you will find items that will be better bargains than items adjacent to them on the shelves. However, this is a condition that seems to rotate ... different brands seemingly take turns offering discounts. The service has always been helpful. The only area that might take a little bit longer is having to get something done at the service counter. There's something else where Publix stands out. They have large smart looking recycling bins right in front of the store. You don't have to be a granola-head to recycle and I laugh when I excitedly recycle because granola-heads and I are definitely not tribe. However, it's the right thing to do. Yet, in Florida, it can be challenging because libraries, interstate rest stops, and civic places you'd expect to be able to recycle things you've accumulated in your car don't have the bins for it. That said, this Publix has my business when in the area and, in general, it's a supermarket chain I tend to patronize because I can shop there and recycle a few things at the same time. Extremely organized Publix at the center of the RK Beachway Plaza in Dania Beach. First time here and love the BOGOs and found a Buy 2 Get 2 on Coca-Cola products. Purchased mixed mini cases including Coke Zero, Sprite and Cherry Zero. Easy checkout at the customer service counter and got the cashier to smile. The Publix has a well stocked wine & beer aisle with a liquor store next door. read more

We came to this Publix for a sub on the way to the beach, the woman who helped us, Sekenia, was all alone at this station with a line of people behind us. She was very friendly, quick, and made our sub with such care that I wanted to make a review. She had an amazing energy. read more

Whenever I come to this Publix or any other Publix location, I am generally browsing around to see what BOGO deals the store has. I usually hit the snack aisle first. There wasn't much items on sale, but I managed to spot a deal on the Doritos chips so I grabbed a couple. Before going to checkout, I stopped by the bakery looking for a whole brioche bread. Then I approached an employee who was working in the bakery section and asked if they can slice a whole bread to a desired thickness. Once she validated my question, I began making my list for items I need to purchase during my next visit. I might as well make my own French toast since certain restaurants don't make them as good as they used to. read more

I was passing by this Publix and decided to stop in and get some soda for the condo. I have always been very happy with the Publix private label brand, so I decided to get some of their Diet Ginger Ale. When I got home and tried it, I was very disappointed. It did not have the nice ginger taste that I have tasted in other brands. I actually think the Winn Dixie Chek is better tasting. 12.20.22 I have been here many many times over the years & especially throughout the summer in June and July 2020 during the spike of the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. I love the Publix supermarket stores. I've been to dozens of these stores for well over 15 years. The Publix stores are always very clean, bright and well lit. The staff are usually so very kind and helpful for the most part. Great customer service. Huge parking lot here. I would often get a fresh made turkey sub from the deli. They're so good. They use Boars Head brand which i prefer. I often get cut fruit here and it's always very fresh. I was looking for lysol spray or any generic disinfecting spray. They were out of stock just like the majority of most of the stores were also out of stock. They did have a generic no name non aerosol disinfecting spray which i planned on buying. I grabbed 2 of them and brought them to check out at the register. The clerk rang it up and they were $12 each. I asked how much to make sure I heard her correctly and she did in fact say $12 each. I said absolutely no way and I left. Other than this I still prefer the Publix supermarkets over any other supermarkets in the area. The better supermarket choice IMO :-) read more

This is the last major grocery store before getting to Dania Beach. It is average at best. I sometimes stop in here for water or a sub but I find that the staff are unfriendly. I haven't had a bad experience, it's just that they don't seem to have that "Publix Kindness" going on. Yesteday, I was happy to pick up a 12 pack of Polar sparkling water in Cranberry /lime and another 8 pack of blueberry/lemon. I love Publix subs but the deli workers got bad attitude. The girls name starts with a W , she was upset I asked her to check the. Expiration date on the Turkey she didn't know how to check it and asked some one else and lo and behold it was in fact EXPIRED ! She then put one slice of Swiss on my wrap a huge full wrap and again gave me attitude for asking a more cheese . If you hate your job that much please quit. Food is already expensive I don't need attitude where I spend money . read more

This Publix is close by our house but its not the location where we do most of our shopping. There is another location on Griffin Road which is much close by our house. The reason why we come here from time to time is because of their selections. Yes the location on Griffin is much close, but that particular store is pretty small with limited selections on different kinds of products. So from time to time we would drive an extra 10 minutes to find what we are locations. This store is huge. The isles are much more organized with more selections than the other location. Throughout the store is very clean and organized. The staff seems to be very friendly and helpful as well. With all the new construction that has been going around Dania Beach, I can see the city is going through a major transformation. What I used to like about Dania Beach was that it was a quite little town with not a lot of traffics. I think its a good thing for local business when things are picking up but to me, it's going to be difficult for me to fight through all the crowd and traffic. read more

Got a chicken tender sub last week like I always have from different Publix's around the state/ nation. They gave me less than half the chicken it's supposed to have, so little that the subs bread actually wrapped around itself. I was working at the time and I couldn't bring it back so I took pictures, the following week after traveling I brought it to show the manager. No refund, no apology, just a rude, confrontational conversation from the manager. Extremely disappointed with this Publix. read more

I shop here to get my basic groceries since it's close to my apartment. I always like the customer service I receive at Publix. I like that its clean and the check out lane moves pretty quickly even it gets busy. It is a smaller Publix so it will not have all the selections that a larger Publix would have but I still like the selection that it does have. read more

Clean nice but the bagger only help with a smile if you are white the lady in-front of me a white lady was help wit 3 bags offer help to the car the white guy left to talk to the white lady manager and didn't even bag my groceries. They acted like they where busy you can feel discriminated at this store food quality it's the best but there's is discrimination here if you are not white. I will go back to do all my shopping to the other Publix on Sheridan by (US) 1. The worse deli department I have ever been. The ladies are rude... I am sure because they are over worked and very under staff. Get ready to wait at least 20 to 30 minutes because they only have to ladies behind the counter (Cutting the deli meats, making sandwiches and serving the hot). Ridiculous!!!! read more

The cashier, who already didn't look happy asked somebody coming out from behind the customer service area to approve removing an item off of my order, and her rather rude response was "I'm busy!". My only complaint is they have one item never in stock as soon as they do it's gone the next day and apparently they haven't noticed for like a month they're out the label is still on the shelf, I just go to the other one for it. read more

Location, Location Location is what the real estate folks always say. This place is hurt by it's location across from Dania Jai-Alai and the parking lot has some sketchy folks hanging around and I would watch my back going to your car. The store itself is an older smaller store and it's fine, clean, nice staff, selection could be better but it's ok. The best thing here for this shopper is that it's close to home. read more

I had been coming to this store for about 12 years.. Know many employees by name. It seems the service has just been getting worse and worse. Deli managers are more concerned about boxing up fried chicken than helping one of the three people waiting for a sub. Today I was accused of trying to steal a .99 cent bag of potato chips by the miserable bakery manager., Went there with my wife.. She went shopping.. I wanted a sub. While waiting for someone to come over to make a sandwich, I opened a small bag of chips. I finished the chips and threw out the bag. I get a combo so chips are covered. Walked over to get a red bull before walking around to find my wife. Going back through the deli area, there is the bakery manager holding out my empty bag of chips to the asst. manager and pointing at me " there he is, here he comes". So she assumed I was stealing a bag of chips, and called me out for it in the bakery area. Prescriptions, groceries, baby stuff.. Deli Department - Mobile ordering it's a problem with Publix at least at this location can't seem to figure out if it's half Publix fault or the blatant rudeness nastiness of South Floridian who take people to go orders. now I do admit Publix can be partly to blame as it has happened often that we've gotten here and our order hasn't even been made or somebody has taken it. I think people first of all should not take other orders that are in the bin for order pick up secondly I think Publix to keep the orders in the back and have a mobile order pick up person of some sort read more

I used to frequent this location for all my kitchen office needs, I would also take advantage of grabbing lunch on occasion as well. Unfortunately, the deli and sub area of this store is just bad. It doesn't matter if you place your order online, it never is ready when promised and you end up wasting valuable time and sometimes you have to leave empty handed. I've mentioned this to store managers on two instances in hopes of seeing an improvement, but never noticed any changes. I now go to another store which is much better in all aspects and even have noticed staff from this store working there. read more

Review is for the deli. Super disorganized. I ordered ahead online because I was in a hurry and needed to grab food quickly. Arrived 5 mins after it was supposed to be done and they hadn't even started it. Told me 3 minutes. Waited over 15. Then they didn't even have the right ingredients. Compared to the walmart and winn Dixie I visited here, my shopping at this publix was like night and day. Pleasant employees (I was browsing yogurt and was asked if I was looking for anything in particular), big aisles that look nice and organized and not overly crowded. I didn't notice any seedy looking people in or outside the store. Overall just very pleasant and relaxing, which is just how I want to feel when I'm grocery shopping. read more

Ordered the Boar's Head Philly Cheese Sub. It was more of a Onion Cheese Sub since it was mostly raw onions with a little bit of meat. The bread was completely soggy. I took about 3 bit before I just threw it out. Was not edible. I would ask for my money back but I throw out my receipt when I threw out one of the worst Philly Subs I've ever had. sorry, but i too have to disagee with the street walker in the flip flops. I live in the same area and yes the person is probably talking about the publix on sheridan st being better than this one. I live closer to the sheridan st publix and while I have found all publix's have professional staff.....the parking lots situation and the lines in the sheridan st publix dont even compare to the roomy parking lot and the maybe 2 people in line, while always opening more to accommodate the short lines. i will always drive to the dania beach publix, even if it for just a loaf of bread. read more
