Very friendly staff and very welcoming as I walked into the store. I went to check out some of their BOGO items for the week, but also to get some jerky, since I wanted to bring some for my nephews. Prices are still higher than other stores like Aldi or Walmart, but the BOGO are usually a good deal. The store itself seemed smaller than other Publix stores in the area, but my experience was about average as compared to other Publix stores. read more

This is my local Publix and I must say that lately it has gone downhill. Everything is overpriced and the service it for the most part terrible. The only I like about this location is the bakery when you order ahead. The bakery always has my order ready on time and it's perfect. Now the cafeteria never has enough chicken ready and the lines for subs and hot foods is ridiculous. Overall it's ok if you must stop, if not go to the next location in university. read more

Very casual environment with helpful and friendly employees. This Publix had a relaxed feel and everything was easy to find. Very organized and items that I need were in stock. They even had the brown rice vegetable sushi ready-made instead of having to order it. All the Publix's carry the veg option for sushi however, most times you'll have to ask them to make it with the brown rice instead of the white rice on the spot. Really great deals at Publix no matter where you go but it helps to have friendly staff. read more

Nice store , I can most of the time find what I need however celery a dollar more than most stores as well as cucumbers. I'm mainly in the produce dept . I juice everyday and so At Publix you pay for conviene , help, clean store all of which I like but I like saving money too. Perhaps I should go to the farms and buy in bulk? In the mean time Publix is perfect only the money goes fast . I was impressed they had persimmons two for 300 . I should just buy the tree and have the fruit when it blooms.Publix does have beautiful produce . Parking is ample but when it rains it floods in certain areas. read more

Publix on Taft Street should be closed. Lack of items, the manager (if you can call her like that) turns her head the other way to avoid customers. Bad customer service. No pepole for helping customers Only Lisa, Elise, Maggie and a few other employees are the only valuable people there. No way I'll be back there. read more

I don't like this Publix. It's too small and claustrophobic. My favorite Publix is in Cooper City. It's cleaner and more lighting. My husband had a chicken sub and I enjoyed watching the lady make it. Plus the deli lady was nice and friendly. She sliced our salami ($5.99 a pound) and our ham ($6.19 a pound) and our provolone cheese I think it was $6.49 or more but still under $7 dollars a pound. The staff is nice. I was shocked that to see SELF CHECK OUT AT A PUBLIX! But other than the claustrophobic feel I don't think I will be returning to this Publix no time soon. For the staff and cashiers and deli and sub sandwiches I will say 5 stars. The actual grocery store I'm so sorry Publix because we only grocery shop at Publix (in Cooper City) but this Publix gets 3 stars from me. Sorry. All Publix are the same: very well organized, clean stores, but too expensive. I once asked an employee why they are so expensive. He said shipping costs mainly because of fuel costs which are passed on to customers. What is disturbing: when fuel costs go down, food prices don't. I stopped in at this Public on the way home. Yrs it is remodeled and extremely clean but all three items I was looking for were not available. I end up picking up some items on sale. I really didn't need cookies of more coffee buy I was trying to make my trip worth it. I went down the canned vegersble isle and picked up my favorite crushed tomatoes. I grabbed some Nelly's eggs and some ice cream and headed for the register. It took 15 minutes to check out behind two people. Believe me, I thought more than once about leaving the cart that didn't even have what I stopped on for. I waited because I wanted to get something accomplished. I had never been to Florida, so I had no idea what Publix was all about. To my surprise, is was pretty awesome. I got some fried goodies in the hot foods section, iced tea, yuengling beer, and chips. The following day, I needed a place to eat lunch and someone told me to go to publix, said they had the best sandwhiches. Found the nearest Publix and stopped in for a sandwich. I ended up getting the Havana bold. The sandwich was very good. I was a bit surprised at how good it was. Rivals any sub shop out there. I highly recommend Publix for groceries and food to go. read more

I've been to this location twice within the past two weeks, both time they were out of fried chicken. I waited 20 mins the first time, but today I just left without it because I worked all day and wasn't in the mood to wait again. I've been to many other Publix locations and this rarely happens, but this seems to be the norm at this place. Totally unacceptable. Whoever is managing this department needs to do a better job. Been coming to this store religiously for about seven years now. Many of the staff members are original from the day I started coming in, which tells you something right there! Although the store is smaller, it is always clean and easy to navigate. The staff really shined on my most recent 4 visits. Each of those times I had my disabled mother in law in tow. I was helping her grocery shop post her breaking her pelvis. She is on a walker and uses their motorized cart to get around. As luck would have it, it started to rain as we were checking out. I was not aware but the friendly employee who bags groceries told me about it. He said he would stay with her as I drove the car up to the front so he could load our groceries. I did just that and all I had to worry about was getting her into the car. He did the rest with a smile. Kindness is few and far between these days. I just wanted to point out this small act of kindness that made our hard day that much better and that much easier. Thank you! read more

Today a friend asked to take him to buy some grocery since he is disable. So I did, I took him to this Publix in Talf and 69 ave in the city of Hollywood. My friend has difficulty walking, so when we where inside the supermarket I told him to stay with the cart and I would go get the items he needed from his list. Do to the shortage of items we started looking for toilet paper. Luckily today was the day they restock and I took one pack for him and one for me. I left my friend with the cart. When I came the the other items he then told me a man had taken one of the pack of the toilet paper from the cart and told him it was one per customer. My friend told me he told the man the extra pack of toilet paper was not his. We look all around for this man in the store but was not able to locate this man. As we were in line paying for the items, my friend recognized the man coming out from the employee office at the front of the store that turned out to be the district manager of this location named Brick S. I approach him and asked him why he took the item from the cart and he then rudely told me, "One toilet paper per family!" I told him we were together, we where sharing the cart and paying separately. He responded, he did not care. I asked to speak to someone above him and he told me there was no one else to talk to. I call the corporate office and express my frustration and explain to them the situation. They did apologize for the inconvenience and that was it. All I was trying to help a person get what they need, and at the same time, I don't see any problem getting what I need while at this supermarket. It is sad what the WORLD is turning into and how Selfish people have become. This district manager did not have any right to take any item from anybody's cart. What kind of customer service is he implementing to his employees. He is the reason why people get rough and end up in public disturbance. I do approve of the policy for one item per person. In which is posted on almost every item. If I was to take 2,3,4 packs of an item that is restricted to 1 per person and try to pay. Then I would agree for the cashier to reject the sale and limit one per person and get me remove from the store if I start to act a fool! But this was not the case!!! read more

The absolute worst Publix in the Hollywood area. I spent over an hour shopping for all my groceries and filled up one cart, and needed another cart to finish my grocery shopping so I asked the cashier to watch my cart while I continue. I get to the register and unload my second cart and Adonis and company decided to put back all of my first cart groceries. Unbelievable. Never ever going to this location for anything. Just stopped in to check lotto. No dice all losers, bigger payout for me this weekend then. Bought a couple bottles of smartwater a liter is $1 pretty good price if you ask me. This Publix didn't have the same flow as the others do for some reason but employees were polite and the store looked clean. Publix deli I really don't like. I've work in Publix deli for over a year and also have a family that was a supervisor in deli work three for over 30 yrs and retired. I came to the deli to get popcorn chicken at 9 to come to see there is nothing there asked the young cook may I please have some popcorn chicken was told that they are closed and the fryer was already down. I asked when did Publix start doing this because you guys don't close until 11 plus the Publix our west always close their deli hot side around 10:45. I asked well I called before coming and was told I will have some , he then told me that well the hot side close at 9 so I asked where is the manager ... suddenly he said well ... it will take 20-25 minutes for the popcorn chicken as the fryer has to get hot . I said I'll wait because my two year son wants popcorn chicken. I finally got my chicken ... I just hate that people could be so lazy .. like it's your job all I wanted was popcorn chicken and in order for me to get it I had to state I need a manager...?! I really hate that this is why I go to the Publix out west as people there are always willing to go the extra mile read more

This Publix' deli is by far the WORST deli in any Publix I have ever been too. The ONLY reason I stop at this small store is because it is the closest to home. I can honestly say I have not yet had a good or even satisfactory experience there yet. In addition, I have seen other customers at the deli counts with a manager complaining. It's unfortunate. I have been shopping at publix since childhood. Last year I moved & this is the closest location. The store was recently remodeled. I personally preferred it the other way. But that's just me. The store is not as clean as the others but the staff are always polite & helpful with the exception of the deli. They never have items for subs . I mean NEVER. We have tried different days & times. Always out of everything. Then the deli counter people are rude while placing your order they don't stop chatting with each other. One time it took over 10 minutes for her to make my sandwich because she couldn't stop talking to her co worker. Now we go to a store out of our way or somewhere else for subs. read more

The bakery staff is probably the worst I've ever encountered. I'm a Publix shopper but I would rather shop at the Winn-Dixie a block east than deal with the incompetence of the unprofessional staff in the bakery department.
