I love this store! Things are organized, the store is clean and the staff always helpful. Publix is not the cheapest supermarket but you can find good deals with their BOGO deals and other promotions. I like the lighting in this store; has the warm lighting that makes your shopping a confortable experience. Publix ,as we all read and know, there prices are higher than other grocery stores around . But sometime it is better to pay more to get good quality, fresh food. Yesterday, my husband wanted me to cook him mussells. So, I said ,yes but you got to get them from Publix . He did drive to the one on Sheridan street , bought 2 lbs .$10. I cooked them with a blue cheese recipe. They were fresh, and we did not even find one not open. The big deal on " not open" is, if after you cooked them and you find some not open, that means they were dead ,before you cooked them . Not great , but we get that a lot in local restaurants . Very hard to find, in local restaurants , good taste , fresh, good quality mussels , most of the places use pre frozen mussels . I am fussy about my sea food, I we used to pick up our own mussels sailing around New England . So, the place to get great fresh mussels, maybe a bet more that you would want to pay , but as they say " YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR." Publix on Sheridan in Hollywood. Close to the beach. read more

Believe it or not I haven't gone to Publix in years let alone this new store on Sheridan Street East before the beach. So why did I go? Was in the mood for Taylor Pork Roll and after Googling it this was the closest location near my home. Once inside it was crazy so many people inside shopping on a Sunday morning. There is tons of choices and items. I made my way to the back of the store and snagged a package after checking the expiration dates first. Than headed to a register at the front of the store. That is when I got on an Express lane for 10 items or less. Of course the man in front of me had twice that amount of items and looked pretty damn happy about it. I said nothing. Once he left I asked the cashier why he didn't say anything? He made like no big deal. Well why have rules than if they aren't followed? So all the other customers that follow the rules suffer. Walked into the women's room and it was absolutely disgusting. One toilet was completely clogged and full of feces, and the second stall was occupied for an extremely long time by a homeless woman. I ended up using the family restroom, and another woman went to alert the Publix staff. Much more attention needs to be paid to the bathrooms. If these are the bathrooms that employees use....why would we buy food here?! read more

This Publix is right Dow the road from my work place and this grocery store is somehow above other Publix grocery stores and I frequently go to different ones. The greetings from the bakery to the deli are always spot on. The butcher BY HAND cut all my pork roast.. Can you say GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Seafood always have a nice smile and a hello when you walk by. Subs are always excellent and the bakery has totally been stepping it up with visual and very fresh treats, along with the salads that are so stunning to look at and very tasty to eat! Would love to see them bring in a fresh machine juicer for the orange juice would be excellent and a more choice of buffet. Winn Dixie has them beat on that. But wait until you see the salad pictures. Salads looked so good I bought four and a grilled chicken pasta salad. It was light and delicious. I took a pic of a chantilly lace cake that I did not buy but wished I would have. Love this Publix. Worth my drive and better than the new one on Hollywood circle read more

Nice and clean Publix. There was a manager standing near the entrance to greet customers coming in the store. Very well stocked and organized Publix. A person wiping down the carts making sure they are sanitized when someone gets a cart. I was greeted by the guy in the seafood section and I noticed he was greeting everyone else. When I was looking at the meats. The worker that was stocking the meats ask if I need any help. Very great staff here so I definitely will find myself spending my money here than the other Publix nearby. The deli is an absolute nightmare... it's take about 30 minutes on a good day to get a sub!! There could literally be two people ahead of you and you'll be there all day. Deli workers have an attitude! Only the older Haitian ladies are nice but I haven't been seeing them as much. read more

We always manage to scout out a grocery store no matter whether we travel stateside or abroad. Publix was one of the closest stores to where we were staying in Ft. Lauderdale. The store was clean, well stocked and proved to be great for picking up items that were great during our trip. They had a hot food bar, where we got some amazing fried chicken wingettes to eat with those wonderful Church's biscuits (see review). They also had ready made cold salads, sandwiches and assorted tossed salads, items for the busy vacationer to eat and go! They also had a beer and wine area to grab a six pack or bottle of vino to make your meal complete. The produce section was well organized and items were fresh. The bakery section was chock full of sweet treats that we couldn't walk away without purchasing a few! All in all a great market to shop in during our trip. read more

The deli department at this Sheridan location is hopelessly poisoned in terms of an adversarial approach to customers. Having been this way for years, I figure it's a management problem. This is probably one of the worst Publix Deli's to get subs from and unfortunately it's the closest one to my house. Of course there's usually a line, but today no line and it still took like 15 or so minutes minutes to get 2 half subs made at the same time by 2 people. And the people making the subs need to go back sandwich school, it's almost as if they'd never seen a sub before... why would you put all the toppings in the middle of the sub and not spread it out? I usually go to this Publix, and it's perfect my cashier is amazing but now I will never come back. I received the worst customer service I've ever had from the sushi woman. I go to every Publix and I never have a problem with the five dollar sushi and adding the toppings I like, before this publix apparently charges extra for the crunch onions, which fine I told the lady I'll pay extra, repeating myself over and over. She's screaming no no no, comes around the counter and shows me a different sushi then then one I wanted but with the onions, I explain to her no that's not what I wanted and she's oh well with the most horrible attitude. I love shopping at Publix and this one is literally a walk from my house, but with this ladies attitude I would rather go to ANY other Publix no matter how far. At least a women manager ( I didn't even get to ask her name) did try to help me, I will say that but I was already super upset I couldn't even talk to her so I left all my stuff I was about to buy and just walked out. Right on the edge where Hollywood meets the eastern part right before the beach is this reliable grocer ready to fill your shopping cart. I always prefer ordering the deli items online because waiting with a crumbled numbered ticket is so yesterday. It's in a huge shopping center so parking isn't an issue at all which helps. The cashiers move pretty quickly and answer questions without concern. The aisles are ample and luckily I've never seen the shelves bare unless is hurricane season. The produce section is pretty good and the organic options seem to always be stocked. Check out the BOGO items as they always turn out to be a bargain. I like getting bread for beach sandwiches here instead of the prepackaged ones because I prefer fresher stuff. I've come to expect my shopping experiences at Publix locations to be positive, especially since I keep being greeted with smiles an helpfulness regardless of what city I'm in. This location, however, could use a little improvement. I stopped by to grab a few beverages because people in my car were thirsty. One person saw some teas on sale and grabbed two. At checkout, my friend stopped me and said her teas were rung up at the regular price instead of the posted sale price. The cashier opened up her ad and said there were no teas listed for sale. Thinking she grabbed the wrong one, my friend said she'd just get something else once we were done at the register. After settling the purchase, we went back to grab her tea. It did have a sale tag on it, so my friend asked another employee whether the tag was accurate. The response was yes, it was on sale. My friend then asked why it's ringing up at the register differently. The employee just said "oh," and pulled off the tag. An updated tag was never place in front of the item. It wasn't a big deal, and my friend ended up getting her tea anyway, but I just thought it was odd how 1) the store wouldn't honor posted prices, and 2) item price tags are out of date or otherwise inaccurate. First time at this Publix and I do believe it's the one that used to be on 402 E. Dania Beach. This Publix, which is located in the West Lake Commons shopping mall; is clean, and neatly organized. It would be placed on a list as the nicest Publix supermarkets I've been to thus far. The bakery department is a bit smaller than the ones I've previously shopped at, but in my opinion, it serves for better and faster customer service. Their produce, whether it's packaged or loose, looks fresh. The seafood department has a variety of fresh seafood and packaged sushi made fresh daily. Would definitely like to shop here again. Brand new Publix under staffed. We ordered online for a sub. We gave them of course plenty of time to make it before we picked it up. A good 45 mins. Deli staff was nice and apologized but I won't do there online order thing again. I tried this service 6 times different times of days and always seem to have run into problems. Even when they were across the street. got manager involved once but have always kept cool. One problem with it is that they stick your food in a case where anyone can pick it up and people do dispite having your name on it people are idiots and take your stuff. the girl at Publix has told me it has happen more then once. This is not fully the stores fault. but I do feel that something should be done.. So to. Summarize everything just stay away from online ordering when using the deli. Also they never have soup in there hot section always is out and they don't seem to keep it stocked well. read more

Publix is a great store.. They hire older people, the place is clean, the aisles are well spaced, lots of inventory and excellent presentation. This store is exactly like all the other stores. It's just so much more expensive than other grocery stores. I go here when I need shirataki noodles or horseradish... but honestly, I can get produce so much more cheaper any place else in town. read more

I love this new Publix location! Clean, bright, and friendly. The first few weeks after opening they were overstaffed, evidently a managers and staff from nearby stores were brought in to help with a smooth transition and help people locate items in the new layout. They have returned to regular staff amounts but are still very helpful; at least one employee, often more, has asked if I need help while shopping. The store has nice wide aisles, a large produce section and plenty of variety, including Greenwise options. (Especially in comparison to the much smaller locations on Park Rd just North of Hollywood Blvd and at Young Circle). Publix branded (generic) items are always a great value, but some of the brand name items are a bit higher here than at other stores. The bakery and deli departments are efficiently run, very little wait time even with multiple customers in line. They also have a large assortment of both cut flowers and live plants right when you walk in. This location has ample parking, although as more of he surrounding shops open I suspect it may become crowded at peak times. Overall a great option for weekly shopping or a quick trip for gifts or snacks. read more

I've been going to multiple different Publix's for awhile now but I have NEVER received such amazing sub service in my life until today. I usually order online and pickup because of my past experiences with sub makers at Publix but I'm glad today that I didn't because miss Smiley (that's her name yes) served us high quality customer service and went above in beyond making our subs like it was her TALENT. Seriously she is a professional, she offered to shake n bake our chicken tenders for the sub and even rubbed some chipotle sauce on the rims of the bread before toasting it for me and when it came out it smelled amazing.
