This review is solely off of their catering department! I placed an order for pick up that consisted of croissants, donut holes, pound cakes, mini muffins, scones, mini bagels, and breakfast pastries as well as 2 XL fruit trays. Not only was it baked fresh (as early as 9:30am pickup) but you could smell the sweet, buttery-ness of the food. The staff was extremely friendly!! One manager wheeled around my two filled up carts for me while another rang me out and helped get everything to my car. The food was a big success at our brunch & the Publix staff was so polite and helpful. Also the pricing was unbeatable! I was looking into a brunch catered from Panera or Costal Fog but the pricing and variety of options from Public was so much better! read more

We ordered a cake at the bakery & had to wait for it as it wasn't yet done. However, the bakers, customer service & management were very accommodating. It turns out that they had over 110 orders today & were working hard to get it all done! Not to mention that other grocery bakery stores in the area stopped taking orders so we were happy to be able to still get to place an order here. I got some green Lima beans from the cafe/deli today (got caught having far too many errands that encroached upon my overdue lunch!), and ran in to Publix's cafe/deli hoping to find at least a reasonably healthy vegetable. I ordered just a cup of green limas. Got to the car and took a bite... They were hard & crunchy! Green lima beans are supposed to be soft and creamy --not crunchy. What cook doesn't know this? They looked like they had been blanched at best. Not visible from order line. I might have understood this pbm if I had ordered green string beans as not all cooks are southern and like soft vegetables. But crunchy green limas! They were NOT done. A lot of items there are expired and I don't think that customers should have to do that! However, I enjoy shopping at Publix and I will most likely continue doing my grocery shopping there. So happy Publix is now in Greenville. The best Super Market in the country. Fresh cut meat not prepackaged. Fresh seafood, fresh baked bread. My favorite area the deli. The best fried chicken hands down, and the subs oh, how I have missed the subs. Publix in Florida and Georgia have a reputation and standard to uphold. If you haven't been. You need to go. Great store! My first time in a Publix! Parking lot has large spots. Inside so clean and fresh foods. Bakery and deli and seafood. They can steam for you in bags. Great choices. They accept coupons and you can sign up online for specials. read more

Publix doesn't seem to take much pride in its cakes. Very subpar cake decorating and structure. You've been warned... go to a real bakery. After spending at least 15 minutes on the phone with an unfriendly bakery person detailing exactly what I wanted on the cake and spelling it out at least 5 times ("I said yasss" with two rings) I came to pick up the cake and it only said "Yasss" and had the rings. The lady at the time was very nice and offered to add the other words. When I got to the restaurant and the cake was brought out it was very crooked. At least it tasted okay. I went back to the store a few days later and the customer service rep was very nice and apologetic. She issued me a store gift card. The manager came to apologize but suggested that the cake shifted because of the heat (even though I went straight from Publix to the restaurant with the cake and the layer on the bottom was larger than the top ones). No mention of doing a better job or talking to staff (just that he "Hopes I consider buying a cake from them again"... unlikely). Be wary that not everyone who does the cakes are cake decorators. This was a special occasion, and a quite embarrassing cake to present to someone. read more

An upscale supermarket with upscale prices. They had no veal, so I couldn't make veal parm fore wife's birthday. My big problem was price. I ended up buying 4 items: sheepsmilk feta in the dairy not the deli, some fresh sliced Italian loaf of bread, deli cut Spanish roast pork, and not so good mahi mahi. Three other three could make this a destination store just for a few specialty products. read more

When they first openned the staff was friendly and the food looked amazing. Now you go in there at noon for lunch and the hot food bar is empty, food is dried out, messy and you ask for what they don't have if more is coming out you get an attitude with a response of it will be a thirty minute wait. It's lunch time why is the food empty? It was not even crowded. I then ordered something else and realized I was given the wrong food. I told her and got a response of "oh I just wanted to help and get you out of here" then I went to the prepared fruit and both cases were empty. It's noon time where is all the food? I noticed the staff is unfriendly and doesn't want to help you. I will be going back to my original store I shop at. I don't want to be treated this bad. read more
