I really dislike writing reviews. However, I feel this one is necessary. At the SUB station, there was a particular employee yesterday afternoon who had absolutely no customer service skills. Acknowledging the customer is a simple step, even if the customer needs to wait. The actions from there usually goes well. I was in the area and waiting for my chinese take away (nearby in the same complex) and thought I would pop in for some Green Thai curry paste which I know Publix always sells in the International section. Unfortunately, I have not had a great experience at this Publix location. Most shelves only have one product pushed to the front with the back empty . The deli and food section staff have fulfilled my orders incorrectly almost 90% of the time. This week was the worst, I ordered ham, they gave me shredded ham. It looked like it had gotten stuck in the machine and they yanked it out. On top of everything, it wasn't the right brand I ordered. Its better to keep driving a bit and go to another one. read more

I've been a patron of this Publix for about 25 years now and grew up with this location for all my family's grocery needs. While all items have remained in their precise location within the store, and the floors pretty much look the same, it still gets its little upgrades once in a while (like a new produce display and things like that). Not much had changed except maybe less registers open. This can make for a frustrating check out. I think if they just did away with the excess check out lanes thete would be more room for other things or atleast help this store feel bigger. This location is not that big and on weekends it can get pretty crowded so I recommend avoiding this place on a Sunday because everyone is out for their pan cubano from the bakery. The prices are a but steep but overall this is THE place to grocery shop in Hialeah if you don't mind spending a pretty penny. Overall beautiful produce and meats but could use new flooring to give it some umph. Gotta catch up with the times ;-) read more

They need a face lift, 3 years ago! I went to the middle school down the street years ago and it hasn't changed since. I take that back, they cramped a pharmacy in the front which makes everything look even smaller! They need to open up those isles so that it doesn't look like they tried to put the state of Texas into Washington DC. Too tight! read more

I would give it 0 stars if it was an option. I have been coming here for years and all the Pharmacy managers have been great always going the extra miles. Anthony, Nurka and Justin the manager prior all stellar. And now there is a new manager, Juan Estrada. Doesn't care about getting to know his customers even when the customer makes an effort. Today was the be all end all. Informed me that my medication was denied on March several times. I did not receive a call from him to inform me and what was done about it such as contact my Dr. When I asked why he didn't like it. I asked for the reason for denial his response was I don't know. I asked if the Dr was called he said yes I ask for the date and a copy of the fax they sent him he said no and he gave me the customer service number to get transferred to his supervisor. Of course supervisor is not at a call center. Hopefully George Phelan or Kathy Lenard will call me. If you want a Pharmacist that Care make sure Nurka is there because Juan doesn't care. read more

I went to the pharmacy today to get a prescription filled and the Pharmacist whom also claimed to be the pharmacy manager Juan E. Juan was very polite until I presented him with my prescription for Ambien which is less expensive at Publix as per good Rx discount program,at which point he basically looked me up in the system and proceeded to list all the controlled substances that have been prescribed to me in the last two years. I have 5 bulging disc in my back and unfortunately I am also cursed with insomnia and S and C protein deficiency which means that I am unable to take NSAID's such as ibuprofen, naproxen aspirin and such, since I am on blood thinners due to having had 6 DVT's (blood clots) in the past. He violated my HIPPA rights by not only listing the medications and prescribing doctors but also both addresses that I have lived at in the past while other patients waited behind me in line. He was basically verbally assaulting and punishing me for filling prescriptions that unfortunately I have to take in order to be able to function on a daily basis. He refused to take my prescription for Ambien because "I do not know you and this is a control substance. I recommend that you go to a pharmacy where you have a relationship with the pharmacist". I feel like I was mistreated, humiliated and denied a medication that I need based on him not knowing me. I don't know but I have never actually developed a relationship with a pharmacist in order to get a prescription filled. I feel like having to develop have a relationship with my pharmacist is not only irrational but illegal in some way. If my doctor prescribes a medication it is based on my needs, I do not think that a pharmacist should have the right to deny me medication based on his assumptions and our "relationship". I honestly don't know how to proceed with reporting this incident, because I feel like my right and privacy have been violated. Whom do I report to that this pharmacist fills prescriptions based on relationships or basically the way that he judges people on what medications they have been prescribed in the past, not actual valid Rx written by a doctor. Publix use to be one of my favorite places to shop even though I felt guilty every time I shopped at Publix due to political reasons. If you don't know the political reasons look up what Publix contributes money to. They don't support gun control, are against legalizing marijuana, and lobbied against gays having the same right as straight people. Going forward I will pay more for my prescriptions and do my groceries at Trader Joe's, Whole Foods and support my local pharmacies where it is not required that I develop a "relationship" with the pharmacist in order to get my scripts filled. Publix where shopping is a hassle, definitely NOT a pleasure. read more

I been a loyal customer for many years, doing a lot of my shopping there, but more than once they have gotten my order wrong at the deli. I order whole sub, one half something, and the other half something different, and even after having them confirm the order they get it wrong. It is so frustrating, especially after waiting those long lines. If they pay more attention, instead of being distracted with co-workers they can actually be good. Overall poor service makes my experience at Publix feeling upset. read more

I have been a loyal customer of this publix for the last 20 yrs & it use to be the best place to go shop at. They stood by there motto where shopping is a pleasure but honestly lately I've been so disappointed. The only thing still with buying is the meat but besides that forget it. I'm not sure ofc its because I was spoiled by previous managers both store & produce but they have lost there quality in cleaness. That produce its ridiculous you go get something & either there two or three left if any & u could tell its been there forever. You go get tomatoes and they are all squished & soft or have flies over them. Lately their produce inventory is zero to non oh and god forbid you even find an employee after 7. As for the rest of the store same thing shelves empty expired bread & no employee to help you its like the all go to lunch at the same time. Finally your ready to leave you get to the front & guess what no cashier's only 2 or 3 another waiting game. This place has become worst then Sedanos. read more
