Indoors is a cornucopia of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and prepared cuisines (both hot and cold dinner/lunches). They match and are comparable in price to the larger chain grocery stores and far more fresh and appealing. My wife and I opted for prepared salads I chose the Asian one and it was great. The dressing in particular was to die for.The store is exceptionally clean but rather small and difficult to navigate in such tight quarters. Rumor has it they plan to expand the facility. Parking can also be a beast so it is best to find a spot in the adjacent strip mall near the UPS store. It is so worth it though.

There are 4 Paul's Markets in Louisville, and I am fortunate to live very close to the Middletown location, which opened in 1996. Every summer the outdoor area is chock full of beautiful flowering plants, both annual and perennial varieties. The plants today were lush, healthy, and absolutely stunning. They were priced in line with the local nursery that we most frequent, which is a bit higher than the big box stores. However, as with most things, you get what you pay for. The grocery has a wonderful deli that includes a hot bar and a wide variety of prepared sandwiches, pastas dishes, salads, and deserts. The salad selection was extensive. I opted for a cobb salad that included chicken, bacon, egg, tomatoes, lettuce, blue cheese crumbles and dressing! It was a steal for only $6.99 and absolutely delicious. I chose the honey mustard dressing and it was a chef's kiss! Throughout the grocery area one will find a lot of specialty items such as several types of gluten-free breads, seasonal fruits, regional candies, and much, much more. Paul's is a great place to grab a lunch that is far healthier than the plethora of fast-food options for just a couple more dollars!

The spices are diverse and come in wonderful containers compared to the typical bags of spices that you see more often at Indian grocery stores. They have a variety of options for flour, rice to stock your shelves. There are also a great number of frozen options. One caveat, this store only has vegetarian items. This has become my go to Indian store in town.

However, I browsed the aisles to check out their spiritual items (sage, candles, incense, stones, pendulum). I picked out a couple of items, including a worry stone for my son. In this section they offer several essential oils as well. The store isn't a one stop shop for grocery shopping but it's going to specialize in items not as popular at your standard Kroger. I was happy to find a variety of Kind bars (love!). Several customers were shopping for vitamins and supplements. I'll definitely be back to peruse the shelves and find new-to-me products.

However, while the number of vendors has grown, I didn't spot many selling fruits, veggies or meat. Those that were had a steady crowd. What I did spot today: jarred veggies and preserves, soaps and candles, handcrafted baby items and toys, Berserker cold brew, West 6th beer, desserts by the slice, wooden artwork and food trucks. The farmers market is held near the regular cottages (steel city pops, alchemy, bluegrass witch, etc.) so they'll be open for business too. This was a quick pit stop for our day, approx 30 minutes. If you come hungry they have 2-3 food trucks or booths to grab a snack. We picked up beef lumpia from the Bamba's food truck and sat on the post office steps. There's a few tables around the cottages and we spotted a couple of families laying blankets in the field for a quick picnic.

I Forgot to grab a frozen dessert thingy, I'm either forgot or ran out of money :D and if you walk to the back near the burlap sacks of rice you'll their incense , a whole wall dedicated to one of India's most enduring and pleasant experiences, and walking by, you smell them, not too over powering but sensitive people may not appreciate them, but they smelled really good back there. And they have a scent for every Major Hindu- deity and they also have big brand ones that like, they have a great selection of puja items that seem to keep moving around with every visit but i find them. I wish they had more types like more brass artisan and photograph religious iconography like they used to have, and they used to give out calendars near new years, I miss them. The staff looked busy as always but I know it I needed help I just needed to ask. Patel bro. Had the absolute Best Ginger in town! I saw fresh curry leafs, a beautiful display of sunflowers oils all lined up perfectly over the produce of which gave the room a honey glow. Great Indian snacks from floor to ceiling. I bought a lot of premade frozen foods since I don't like cooking much anymore now I'm alone, but they are better tasting than anything I'd make at home. Prices seem comparable to other grocery stores. The crowd was busy but the team worked fast to keep the line running smoothly and several people restocked shelves. Today was a drop in only because I was in the area; however, several items caught my eye in the freezer section. Since I'm not one to cook I appreciate the selection of meals to find a favorite.
