Went here on Sunday June 14th 2026 with my dad to pick up a few items, as well as two cakes that we preordered. First, we headed to the cold cut section and got Honey Ham, Honey Turkey, and Provolone. Only thing was, at the time we were there, there was a line waiting for cold cuts. So instead, my dad looked around while I waited in line. We got chocolate chip cookies, and italian assorted cookies, as well as bread rolls. When we got there, we were greeted by the pleasant short woman at the deli counter, and she got our cold cuts for us. We then headed over to catering and picked up our 2 cakes that were paid for separately and ordered online. They both turned out amazing and highly recommend both the butter cake and chocolate cake! Person at catering pickup was pleasant, and made sure we were taken care of. We then paid via credit card for our cold cuts, bread, and cookies at the self checkout. spent 39.45 this visit. Will be back soon for some bogo deals, and for cake! read more

This is the second time I've been cashed out by this one cashier and every time shes been rude. What gives? Why work in the industry if communicating with someone in a positive manner is something that unattainable. Honestly I really think this lady is discriminating us since we're Latinos. The meat /chicken counter is ridiculous! There is barely any people working and having to wait 30 minutes to get a small cup of chicken is ridiculous, and when they do work they take there time even though there is a bunch of people that have been waiting 30 minutes, at this point if you are in a rush go somewhere else to get chicken or even a sandwich because there is no one working there. read more

Deli meat counter was a joke..last 3 out of 4 visits we couldn't get waited on...20 minutes or more! Not enough help and the people they have are clueless and move at a snails pace. On top of that you want $15 a pound for turkey! Whole store needs some help but, we'll never go near that deli again!​ read more

So a year and a half later, ill update my review. I'll be honest in that this experience did cause me to place deli orders elsewhere. Be it sandwiches at a different sub shop in the area, or visiting other supermarkets for deli meats. But due to convenience I did place a few deli meat orders in the past few months, and everything is where it should be. So that's great. So this time seems to just be a one off experience. Perhaps just running behind. Although I do question any food pickup location that works on the honor system. There is nothing that stops any of us from picking up deli meats or a sub that somebody else ordered for pickup. Sure, at Publix you have to pay for it. But I know at some places, you pay on an app, and walk in loon for your name and good to go. You look though, not an employee. read more

I don't do review on grocery stores, but I really love this Publix. It's like a year old and very, very clean and it's always cool inside so I can cool my jets. Prices are higher here than just up the road at Kroger, but it's a different clientele shopping here and Publix has the best subs going. Seriously. You can order your sub ahead and pick it up in the deli area and then head to the cash register. Just a handful of tables that are likely to be occupied if it is lunch time. Fountain drinks and teas available with free refills. One major gripe about this Publix, hence only 3 stars, it has taken a legit 10 to 15 minutes to get my sub made in here when I didn't order ahead...and that was with a short line and during off hours, not during a lunch or dinner rush. Do yourself a favor, order your sub with their 5 grain bread, get it toasted, and order it ahead. You can thank me later there Skippy. read more

Food items are diversified except for reasonably priced gluten free items especially the Publix brand pasta which has been deleted from all the stores in Virginia and South Carolina with no explanation as to why especially since they were reasonably priced and continuously sold. Most employees we have interacted with have been polite, helpful, and respectful even when they were unable to assist us with our questions or requests. Only a few bakery areas have gluten free items which are expensive and as of yet no long processed sour dough bread for gluten sensitive people. Holiday items are not consistent with customers who are looking forward to purchasing (ie, raspberry bites, tri chocolate mousse, and containers of fresh cannoli cream). What is nice is the option to purchase premade entrees and be able to heat them on premises in their cafe areas which has a relaxing clean ambiance. They also have the honor system to purchase fresh coffee and beverages in a clean well appointed seating area inside and outside table space with covering that includes free wifi read more

Hello I would like to let you know I have shopped at Publix for many years. The nearby in my neighborhood is a Publix with many negative and bad experiences every time when I would shop there in the recent past. Ask for help, forget it. The people who work at this store are miserable and honestly do not know what customer service is. I mean all the staff to include managers. It's like walking into a place where nobody cares to know you. Your needs such as simple grocery store items is of no concern to the employees at this store. Not to mention the aura and atmosphere is of every time I walk into this store is one of the worst experiences ever. I no longer shop at this store. There is a new Publix down the street. I tell you it is hard to believe it is the same name. The new Publix has all and more of what should be when shopping and spending money. They are helpful pleasant and show that they actually want to be working there. Wow what a concept. Being a fun pleasant and reason to return to shop. Although the new Publix is 4 miles further than the one I will never return to, it is more than worth the distance and effort. I hope for the sake of this dysfunctional store on Oakheart here in Carolina Forest. That the corporate level does their due diligence in hopes that much improvement is needed. read more

I just waited 45 min for a half a pound of turkey. The girl behind the counter was so slow it took her 20 min to slice a pound of ham. I'm not kidding there were 15 people waiting while 6 workers hung out laughing it up behind the meat counter. I finally said forget it and walked out and went to lowes where I got my complete order in 5 min with 10 people on line. No more publix for is well stick with lowes much better customer service. read more

I love shopping here but I can't as much as I did being I can get better prices & sales at another grocery store being the economy has been shot to hell. So now I just go for my lunch meat being the have boars head & being boars head is a better quality cold cut then any other but is getting ridiculous with the wait time of stand there not even ordering on line is worth it because they don't have it ready when you get there so you end up standing in line anyways is not up to par yet. I hope they work out the kinks so I get what I want exactly how I want without an employee not understanding how I like my cold cuts cut. Every visit I've made here, I've been asked if I needed anything more than at my Nonna's. Seriously. Today was just a quick run in and out, and I was seriously asked at least four times by different folks if they could help me, always with a smile. Lots of good deli / prepared food / frozen options, which is always what I'm here looking for when I'm on vacation. Prices are higher than Kroger or other options Imho, but for the convenience of one-stop for all the vacation groceries I need (basics and well-prepared foods), it's worth it. What a bate and switch high price Grocery Store Shopped today 12 th December all there Semi Boneless Hams in the Ad $1.29 lb whole or half were priced $1.99 lb Ask Department And Store Manager and they said Whole not included! Look at print Ad I said ! All hams dated sell by December 13th !! I ask for better dates , they said that's all they have !! It's the main ad item at the Holiday!!! Went to get a sub bc they are know. For amazing subs. I had to wait in line with my 2 kids for over 30 minutes. It was apparent one of the workers missed her break and was upset and taking her sweet time to do anything. While the other worker was only doing online orders. The line was 5 deep. But I waited bc I really wanted a sub. Trying to entertain my 2 kids while we waited. I finally got up to the counter and the worker just walked away she went over to the meat area I though maybe she just had to restock. She never said anything to me... I simple the next lady will be right with you... nothing just walked away the. She starts shopping for her lunch.... Also no ware was from the the lady doing online orders just very into the sandwich. Then a new worker comes and say what do you want... seemed not so friendly either. After I said thank you but no your welcome or anything... just not friendly or aware workers in the sub/ food area.... The cashier was nice. Not sure I'll be doing to that deli again! read more

By far the best grocery store in the vicinity. The staff is amazing and greats us on a first name basis which makes the shopping experience so much more pleasurable and personable. Their prices are unbeatable and their BOGO deals speak for themselves. The butcher always has amazing cuts on display and prepackaged meals put together where all you have to do is toss them in the oven. The organic selection is amazing and they always have some type of deal or BOGO daily. The bakery is awesome and filled with tons of treats and the kids love the free cookie club! Produce section is always stocked with amazing selections as well. The bathrooms are some of the cleanest I've been in. The pharmacy department is knowledgeable and friendly and go above and beyond for their customers. All said and done this is the only place I shop for groceries! read more

I am a local native of Myrtle Beach and I am a full time Instacart shopper. I am writing this review because this grocery is hands down the best place to shop on this end of the beach. To be honest it is one of the best our entire area. I have been working with Instacart for a little over a year now and I have completed 1,383 shopping orders. I would say that out of those orders I can almost guarantee that over 1000 were at this Publix location. I have never been to a store that is so friendly and so well organized. I will start with the bakery by saying that Nicole and Kathryn and extremely helpful and soooo nice! Then I always head to produce and those guys are something else. Every single one of them are always super busy and as nice as can be. Al always makes sure he greets with a smile and hello. While Jim is one of the happiest I just absolutely love our early morning conversations. I am pretty sure Ray is the produce manager and I do not think I have ever seen him when he was not working nonstop. To the meat and seafood department Terell is always super helpful and I say always because I feel like I am always asking for something lol. Johnathan in the meat department is hands down one of my absolute favorites. In all the time I have shopped here I have NEVER seen him without a smile on his face. He goes out his way to say hello every single time. I always see Erik pushing the carts and he is the sweetest man. There are two guys that do quite a bit from what I have seen that really stand out to me because of how friendly they are and how hard I see them working all of the time. Steven, Crystal and Stephanie are also very helpful!! Stephon is another one that goes out of his way to always speak no matter what. He is a very good look for Publix. There are a ton of front staff that really stand out to me and have from day one and that includes Mario what a sweetheart he is, and there is Jackie which always seems to crack me up. She is so funny and a joy to be around. Then we have Alice she has got the be one of the nicest people I have ever met along with Liz and Linda. Every morning while checking out I get to talk with Linda and it is such a blessing to do so. Krystal and Lucy are also always a joy to see. A couple I almost forgot are Patrick, Larry, Keith and Jack all very very helpful and so kind. Lastly the dairy section. I saved the best for last because there are two guys that work their butts off and have the best personalities of most people I know. Kelvin and Jay! These guys are great! They have been more than helpful and full of knowledge. They go nonstop the entire time they work. I know because I see them ten times a day. There are so many more great people that work for this company but the ones in this review really make shopping at this store so worth while. Even if you have to drive a little it is worth the extra gas trust me! For years I have heard if you are having a bad day go to Starbucks or Target lol. Great community store I would like to praise the Publix store in Carolina Forest, SC. During the hurricane they stayed open, except for one day, so that the community could get supplies they needed. All other food stores closed and abandoned the community. I went to this store two times, the day before and the day after hurricane Florence, and the employees were cheerful, helpful and their attitude helped calm many who were worried. Publix has a first class store in Carolina Forest, and I, as well as many others in the community, thank them. read more

Friendly staff and very clean store. Stuff is a little expensive compared to other places in the area, but they also have a lot of the things that my partner can eat due to her dietary restrictions. What I can say is that they will always help you load your bags up in the car and you do not need a card like most other stores to get the sale price. If you want the variety and quality that Publix has and you don't mind paying the higher price then this is a great place to shop. read more

I am shocked at the level of unprofessionalism at this store especially coming from a grocery that is all about the experience and catering to the customers. I've given this store so many chances and thought maybe they're having a bad day, that's far from the case. I went in after working all day to get a steak and saw who appeared to be a manager of the meat department pushing a cart full of about 40 fresh cuts of beef. I asked if he had a thick cut porterhouse or t bone and he aggressively kept saying to me What??? What??? Everything I asked he was so rude in his responses. I went to customer service to talk to a Manager and the assistant manager who was lacking in customer service was just as rude as the other meat department employee. I asked if the guy was actually a manager of that department so when I call the corporate office she refused to answer me and was very condescending. I it's a shame because this store has some quality items but there attitude defers you from wanting to come back. I will be a full time customer at Kroger they are so much more hospitable to their customers from the cart guys to the cashiers. read more

It's upscale compared to Kroger or Food Lion. The bakery is a draw for me. The isles are wide and well organized. There is a "Wow" factor. Staff extremely attentive. Deli Dept is very good. I'm sure that paid to have the store shelves organized by a pro. Lots of eye appeal. Yes, many daily items are priced a bit higher. No cards or coupons ( I like that). It's my new favorite grocery store. My wife likes it and also likes Lowes food. Store comes across as 2017 research into customer satisfaction. I like the store. read more

You can find everything you need here. They may be a little pricier, but because they have a wide variety of neatly stocked items, it makes it easy to complete the recipe you want to accomplish in one supermarket visit. Every isle is clean, clear & well stocked. They have ample parking & there's never a stranded cart near the cars, which can damage your car. Their staff is extremely friendly. I've also had items delivered here, when I was sick. They picked the right items and delivered it with a super friendly smile. Publix is better than any other supermarket or super center I've visited in Myrtle Beach so far. Go visit their deli and grab one of their sandwiches. The Ultimate on their multigrain bread is one of their best. They make sure it is done to your liking. read more

Love Publix. Had the chicken tender sub out of the deli. Awesomeness. I would drive an hour here to get another. The employees are super friendly. One even gave me a coupon for a free 1/2 gallon of chocolate milk. Publix brand chocolate milk is my favorite anyways. Kids got a 5$ ham sub, and mom got chicken wings, no complaints all smiles. I absolutely love Publix. I have been going there for many years. The people who work at these Publix stores are just great. So very helpful. My store is at Carolina Forest in S.C 29526. I have one small complaint and that is the soup stage that is setup at the deli with 3 or 4 kinds of soup. On Friday you always have the clam chowder which I love. My gym is nearby and after I go to the gym I always stop at Publix to pick up some groceries and I always try to pick up some clam chowder but the pot is always empty. The other 3 are not even half empty. Would it make more sense if 2 of the pots would be clam chowder instead? I bet you, both of them would empty real quick. I hope to see this soon.
