The menu and prices for the delicious rice bowls they offer. I have to try their ramen as well.

Publix in Metrowest closed last year to undergo renovations. We been going to the Windermere and Kirkman Publix instead when they were doing renovations. I waited almost a year for it to reopen, looking forward to the changes. When it reopened, it looked modern, but I found it to be sterile as well. The lightning looks a bit more dark, and the space a bit more cramp. I do like the new deli area in the front, with the very nice Publix sandwiches, salad, and fried chicken offered. I also really like to sushi area, and they now serve rice bowls and ramen at reasonable prices. While the portions are a bit small, it is really tasty. The meat and fish area look a bit smaller, but the dairy area is spacious in the back. The bakery is also a bit smaller, as well as the pharmacy, but they do the job. The frozen isle is in the middle, and I wish they had more seen selections of the Hagan Daz ice cream flavors. I rarely see the green tea flavor anymore. Now there are separate doors for entering and exiting. And their famous scale is gone. Now I can't find out my weight over there anymore. That's like if Meijer got rid of their one cent mechanical horse ride (Sandy) from their stores. Sad! There are self checkout lanes available, with their famous Costar security cameras watching you and TVs letting you know that you're being watched. At least they still have ample amount of regular checkout lanes with friendly staff checking you out and bagging your items. I believe they still offer to take your items to your car if requested, and have the no tipping policy. I see management occasionally guiding shoppers to the proper checkout lanes and staff showing shoppers where to go for an item. While the renovated Publix looks a bit stale to me, it still has great amenities and staff needed to be a nice supermarket. They still have their BOGOs tool, so you can get good deals. The staff are friendly, which makes shopping here a pleasure. While it isn't as nice as Windermere, it's definitely better than the Kirkman branch. It's still a good Publix closest to the Metrowest area. Overall: B+

This five star review is specifically for this Publix Bakery department. My sister was having a barbecue themed baby shower, and she wanted a special cake. Without wanting to break the bank, and for serving a smaller party, I thought I would check out Publix. I have always loved Publix made cakes and their icing. I went through their book of decorated cakes to order, and came across this burger cake, that I knew would be perfect for the shower. This is actually a seasonal cake they put out during July 4th and in the summer time. The cake top includes real sesame seeds (!!), the "buns" are made of vanilla cake, and the "meat" is made of chocolate cake. They were even able to write a message on top to personalize it! The cake was almost too cool to cut and eat, but we managed, and it was just as tasty as it looked. It was a huge hit at the party, and everyone loved it. Publix did a great job with this cake, and I will definitely consider this bakery for future cake needs.

    Yum!

While I do prefer the Winter Park location (as it is also near some other eateries and shopping areas), this location is the one nearest to my home. It is located off a busy thoroughway, so it does get a little tricky to get here at times. There's a good amount of parking. It does, like most of their locations, get pretty busy, but for the most part, you can usually always find parking. The staff is kind and helpful (when and if needed). The food options/varieties are great! As with their other locations, they offer various cuisine types for just about everyone. This is also inclusive of their dining options (i.e., their hot and cold bars, bakery, and the like). They have a range of household items, personal care items, toiletries, groceries, and so forth. So, again, you can usually find most of what you need. As far as their dining options go, I've gotten a hot lunch from Whole Foods on numerous occasions. I never eat there, but you can if you'd like, as they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating options to enjoy your meal. I'm usually not disappointed with the options. I also really enjoy a number of their soup options. The bakery is probably my favorite section! I'm always leaving Whole Foods with something sweet. Nonetheless, Whole Foods is a great shopping experience. Again, they are pricey and are usually pretty busy, but it's usually always worth it.

However, they have truly embraced the times and stepped up to coordinate one of the most seamless order pick ups with far more options than they can normally house in their store location in collaboration with their local farm suppliers. It was a really great way to get access to local food in a time when innovation is most appreciated as is the ability to access fresh food when the normal grocery stores are overwhelmed with visitors. I will definitely continue to support this great local business that has made things easier in a time when many things are harder. Edit: apparently the store front has closed (unrelatedly- they announced this coming change on January 8th due to a failed lease renewal) but the business is still running through their pick up at 8505 Silver Star Rd and online ordering. The system was actually designed prior to these times and just happened to line up perfectly). This family run business is passionate about improving access to locally grown and more organic foods, and they have done an amazing job.

Expired havarti cheeses were being sold for 50% off with a expiration date of April 10,2026. Whole raw milk ( not fit for human consumption ) is selling for 16.99 - 21.99 a gallon; which is significantly more expensive than other raw milk sellers in lake/ Orange County. Meat prices are listed as $/lb; but all frozen meat beef, chicken lamb, duck, pork only comes in more than 1 pound packages. They sell more prepackaged foods in Plastic than glass or paper packaging, than they did in the past. They have 1 small bison, 2-Emu, 2-Bramaha cows, 1-llama(recently sheared), ducks, and chicken to look at and pet if you want to. Sadly it looks like end stage Capitalism is happening at Lake Meadow Farm too. They seem to be more interested in profits than they do in customer satisfaction and customer service. They carry lafermière yougurt at 5.99 a container while target charges $3.19, and a instant charges $3.49. On on a sidenote, they do have little placards along the walkway from the parking lot to the store where you could put your child's face on a picture and show them as being a cow or a farmer if you choose. in retrospect, they used to always be expenses but now they're just ridiculously expensive. I hope you enjoy this review and if Lake Meadows wants to continue in business and not go under, they may wanna look at investment brokers to invest in their farm so that they can sell off the property and then close it off for a profit.
