I love a good Publix, especially when they have a BOGO on all my favorite items. But, in all the years I've lived in Orlando I've never visited or seen this locations. I was in the area for a doctor's appointment and had to stop. It's so cute. Definitely a blast from the past. For the area where it's located, it wasn't busy at all. The store is clean and organized. I didn't see or interact with any of the employees until I was checking out. Nothing spectacular about the interaction. read more

I have always liked the unique style of this particular Publix. Very retro and cool and fits the neighborhood vibe quite well. I am also a fan of Publix in general, whether it has this cool retro look or not. Publix has built itself into the best supermarket here in the southeast with incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals and we can never forget their great subs (affectionately known as pub subs) made in their deli department. My go-to sub is probably their Italian, same with my son, and my daughter likes their chicken tenders sub (and she really does not like subs nor sandwiches), however you cannot really go wrong with any sub that you order. Shopping in a Publix is a pleasant experience. The supermarket is clean and the staff greet you as you walk through the store. Publix goes the extra mile and they have reaped the benefits of understanding what their customers want in a supermarket. I would definitely recommend here. read more

(11/18/2021) ordered some cookie platters for a work function. Wanted lots of variety. On the morning of, got a call that supply chain issues meant they didn't have any of the flavors I wanted for the Gourmet cookie platter. We understand the it's been rough with supplies lately. I would have liked a heads up a little earlier than the morning of, I placed my order over a week in advance. Also, the cookies I got weren't necessarily "gourmet." This College Park Publix on Edgewater is the most unfriendly one I've ever been to. None of the employees greet you, they snap at you, are not helpful, and they all seem miserable and treat you like you're in the way. The customers here are the worst too. Everyone just seems very annoyed and unhappy. No one exchanges any pleasantries, not even a nod. It's so depressing and odd, like you're in the Twilight Zone. I've gone here 3 times since it's the closest one to me now but I will never go here again. I will go to the one on Fairbanks where it's pleasant like Publix usually is. Even Walmart is more pleasant, and that's saying a lot. :( read more

Generally this is a good Publix however, I have ordered subs online several times & they are never ready by their own estimate. Usually 10-15 minutes late so faster to just order it in person. read more

Publix is known for their courteous staff, cleanliness and outstanding customer service. Most of their stores hold true to these values, but the College Park location in Orlando simply does NOT. This particularly applies to the deli department, which is where I've had problems. Most of the deli attendants are rude with bad attitudes. I've been snapped at various times when I've inquired about hot and spicy chicken wings. I was abruptly told today that it would be a 45 minute wait, while it usually always takes less than 15 minutes. I've also noticed many times that the wings are either burnt or re-cooked. The waiting line is often a cluster of people standing around in no particular order. The attendants outright choose who they want to serve while ignoring others. If you speak up, they condemn you. It's just plain and simple rudeness. I'm not sure if this is a training ground for new managers or what, but I go to a different Publix that's a little further away than my local College Park store. It's a real shame that they can't bring this location up to standard. read more

4 stars for a blast from the past Publix supermarket. Definitely retro. This is a much smaller Publix than most in the Orlando area, so do not expect as wide of a selection of normal specialty goods you may find at say, the Winter Park location. The store is always well stocked, and clean. The staff is also always very friendly, always with a smile and quick to greet you. Shopping carts and baskets are always fully stocked when you walk in. Additionally there seems to always be a security guard/police officer on stand by at the entrance, which should make most feel safer than usual. I haven't had the chance to try out their pharmacy, but the rest of the store is great. read more

Although it is an adorable little Publix, I am not feelin' the love here. Granted it is small so they can't stock everything other Publix' do, but I have asked twice for an item to be brought in and it hasn't happened. I wouldn't mind if they had told me it can't be done, but both times they assured me it would. Still waiting... The frozen foods section has too few international items and the store in general is lacking more Gluten Free options. Trust me, if I could eat gluten, I would. I miss the fantastic Publix baked goods, but I can't, and have to go to the Winter Park store if I want anything other than GF crackers, GF bread or GF cake mixes. Sure they have two pizza options, but one is not my favorite and the other has pepperoni which I can't eat either. Note the review is A-OK which doesn't mean that it is bad, it is OK, just a little small and unfortunately low on some items. The service however is always great! First time coming to this store, I was around the area and though I stop in here for a quick bite to eat so I found my self wondering around the store. The store it self is small but has everything you need, I did not see a pharmacy here but they do have a frozen department and dairy plus meat and bakery and off course produce. The departments are not huge but still has your basics. What I like the most about this store is the retro outside how they remodeled it to look like an old style Publix, I have heard this store has been around for years but I am not sure if it was torn down or just remodeled. The employees here seem friendly and I had no problem not sure why some people here posted they have rude employees here, remember we all have our bad days. read more

One of the most popular and common grocery stores here in the South, and Orlando, Publix is great. It's worth a review based on their tasty and reasonable sandwiches. I would venture to say that around 12, all of their delis are packed. At least the store on Colonial is whenever I'm in there at that time. They do a fabulous job of moving quickly though so you aren't waiting too long. You have your choice of two types of meat, their brand, or the slightly more expensive Boar's Head. And you also have a choice to make it a wrap--normally that's what I select (spinach, whole wheat, sundried tomato and low-carb). I've ordered them many-a-time and have never been disappointed. So aside from buying your normal groceries, make their deli area a lunch option! As a side note, I would just like to commend our local Winter Park Publix for being very generous with local charities--they truly have given back to the community here. read more

Super cute little Publix in the neighborhood, very friendly staff too! The womens restroom is always clean. They truly deliver the Publix promise without giving you any issues at all. This one has been my Fav publix even before I start using coupon. Cashiers and baggers are consistently nice to me even I present coupons to them. Only downside is that since its smaller compare to other Publix nearby, they only have few selections/sizes of items. I also like how every staff would offer help or would initate a small talk. My favorite part is the sushi bar & the produce area, the staff in charge are very knowledgeable and very helpful, would even offer to make me a new sushi at one time I went there and the sushi I want to get was not available. This is my publix and I'm so glad. I love the little market version. They pretty much still have everything you would need, maybe less variety in brands but overall it's the same stuff as a regular publix. Just the isles are a little smaller and taller. Obviously this Publix is the cutest one in the entire central Florida area due to the fact that it's just retro AF. Who wouldn't want to go inside just for the sake of seeing it!? It's a pretty standard 'smaller' Publix. Has all of the basic stuff you need- deli, Boar's Head sandwich/wrap counter, flowers, balloons, specialty foods, liquor, spirits, all of that stuff!! Why is everyone extra nice at this Publix? Even when I'm wearing some paint stained clothes, everyone was so sweet and helpful. I love to by the little to go containers of fruit to bring to work and so often when I do here, the manager of this section asks if I'd like him to check to see if they have any that they just cut for me. So nice! This store is always well organized and if you can't find something, someone is always around to point you in the right direction. So, I love it and am glad I have such a great supermarket right around the corner! read more

Publix No. 19, you live forever in my heart. When I lived downtown, we drove to your lot just to see the giant fin. We called you Happy Publix. Just seeing you made us smile. When I lived down the road, I was a lucky girl. The staff always seemed friendlier than other markets. They had theme days and dressed as cowboys and such. Sometimes they just wore shirts that said "No. 19." So cool. After Skycraft, it is my second favorite landmark in Orlando. This is my new go to publix since I relocated a couple of months ago to good old, College Park. It is known as the cool, hip, retro location, and it is all of those. The parking lot isn't huge but it always seems to be bustling. I always park on the side instead of fighting for a spot in the not so roomy front area. The pharmacy staff is the tops! So nice and informative. It's a bit smaller than the other Publix locations but I think it's perfect for my local grocer. Also, they just rearranged everything in here as far as the layout and I love all the room in the produce section now. Nice work, Publix! I love this Publix. Probably because I can walk to it from my house. Which means that I shop here no less than 4-5 times per week. I love coming here early on the weekends. Like any grocery shopping experience its always better when the aisles are clear and lines are short. It's smaller and older than my old Publix in Baldwin Park, but it packs a lot of punch. It has everything I need. Its retro, vintage exterior is so nostalgic and a nice break from your typical Central Florida strip mall. It represents College Park well! As with most Publix stores, the staff is super friendly and helpful. If they don't have something you're looking for they'll bust their butts trying to find it or getting you an answer on when it will be back in stock. Also, no questions asked when you return something which always makes for a more pleasant experience. Just wish they wouldn't have to close at 9 pm! read more

I shopped here for 8+ years when I lived in College Park, such a nice Publix. When I first moved to CP, this location was the original Publix, which was so small and regularly ran out of items. Since the reopen, while this layout is petite, the selection is good. Good supply of sale items and the deli is rocking here. Small, but nice, produce department. The staff is very, very nice. I love the retro vibe, good layout and the checkout is usually pretty quick even during peak hours. I always enjoy when I get a chance to visit. read more

College Park Publix is probably the longest-standing Publix in Orlando. I can remember back when they had ash trays at the end of each aisle for the smokers! The original building was razed years ago. Thankfully the Publix headquarters deferred to the demands of the good people of College Park and kept some of the old signeage. This one doesn't have the wide aisles that you may be accustomed to, but it still has its charms; and after all these years, still seems to be the social center of College Park. read more

This is my 3rd trip this week where I have gone through to buy a couple of items through the express lane and waited behind someone who had over 20 items. When is management going to say something? I use to shop at the publix in baldwin park and this happened quite aften but they would make sure those customers knew they had more than 10 items. So trust me there is a nice way to tell someone that they're being an a$$hole. If management doesn't say something next time then I will. And its not going to be pretty. What am I doing reviewing a Publix? Here goes nothing. This location is older and smaller but has this cute little 1950s feel that makes you want to return. I'd only stop by during non-peak hours as to not be overwhelmed by shopping carts smashing together. There is a large "Publix organic" section stocked with health food and even organic wine. There is also an abnormally large refrigerated beer department for some odd reason. The employees seem way too willing to take your cart from you and help you to your car. I think that's weird. They look at you funny when you say "no, I can handle it". The worst is when you eventually get to the parking lot and an elderly employee who seems like he has a hard time walking himself attempts to help you with your groceries. Do I look disabled? I dunno. I'm pretty sure my high heels don't count as a disability. read more

Let me just say Publix is hands down my favourite grocery store. From the time you park your car until you leave. It's always pleasant. Every employee greets you when you cross their path. The bakery, deli, produce, meat, frozen, dairy to the check-out line and customer service counter, they always have what you need. If it's not available, they always find a way. In all the years of shopping at Publix; I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience. I grew up with my grandmother and mother shopping here; and I will continue the family tradition. I have not received an apology from store manager Patrick for accusing me of being a black man that came into that store drunk and spit in his face. I never met Patrick before and I certainly do not drink alcoholic beverages. After complaining to Publix corporate I receive an apology from the district manage but the district manager told me that he couldn't make Patrick apologize to me. Patrick is still the store manager and he has not been disciplined. So as it stands if you are not of certain skin color you can get away with treating people the way you wish. read more

I have been shopping at this Publix for 10 years. Compared to other Grocery Stores it's definitely one of the smallest you'll find, but the team does a great job at both getting a lot of good products, and fitting them into this tight space. I always see my neighbors, and run into so many friends at this Publix. Service/Checkout is excellent. The team here really moves people through the checkout lines. Parking - I always seem to find parking. and at worst you can park on the street on Yale. read more

It's Publix and I have yet to find anything I didn't like about a Publix, at least worth complaining about on the Yelp! I just had to go because the retro illuminated signs on the front remind me so much of the bowling alley in The Big Lebowski. The store on the inside is pretty much old school as well.
