Out of the big supermarket chains here in sunny Florida, i would have to say that Winn-Dixie has the best quality beef. I do say this with the vaveat that you should only buy their USDA Choice beef and not the beef that is merely inspected but not graded by the USDA. Just look for the USDA Choice sticker on the meat package. This particular Winn-Dixie is laid out nicely and is easy to navigate. It is bright and inviting and the staff is friendly and helpful. The overall vibe of this particular Winn-Dixie supermarket just added to my shopping experience. Winn-Dixie also usually runs weekend sales from Friday to Sunday, so it is usually beneficial to wait until those three days to do your shopping at Winn-Dixie. All in all, I would definitely recommend this particular Winn-Dixie. read more

New to Altamonte Springs Fl from North NJ Went this morning 7/25/21to do my weekly food shop they had garlic bread on buy one get one free special Tonight 7/25/21 when I opened one of the garlic breads found mold growing on the top ( see pictures ) Opened the 2nd one guess what? It's too had mold on it too!!! As a consumer and a business owner, I am appalled how this company treats their employees. Most positions are exceedly demanding and management is overbearing,demanding, and disrespectful. All for the heartache of working at minimum wage. One employee I've observed named "Travis," who is a customer service representative and is approximately 20 or 21 year old is the rudest, demeaning of the lot. He takes joy in rebuking and humiliating cashiers and stock women He always does it in front of a customer, making himself look like a white knite. Can you expect more from a 20 something? I can appreciate the efforts of the individuals who run this store to keep it clean & (for the most part) well stocked. I do a lot of my grocery shopping here because of the proximity to my home & I don't really have any complaints. The cashiers are quick & friendly. The parking can be a pain at times but that's only an issue if you're a lazy lump like me who always wants to park pretty much at the front door. Oh yeah, for anyone who has accumulated Plenti Reward points from your purchases, the program is ending July of this year so use 'em while you can! read more

It's never too busy but the staff are helpful. It's rather convienent location but the prices are higher than that of wal*mart but I buy my meat here and produce here or I'll buy them at publix. The quality is far superior than that of wal*mart. read more

Good afternoon, For over 20 years, my husband and I have shopped at the Altamonte Springs, FL Winn Dixie location on West Town Parkway. We are Jewish, which is something that shouldn't even have to be said, however, today, 12/18/2022, first night of Hanukkah, we went to purchase Matzo Ball Soup Mix and Potato Pancake mix.We went to the International aisle, again, which we've done for over 20 years, and the section was gone. A manager was nearby and I asked him where can I find the items? He took me to the International aisle, and said, "Oh, we used to have a section here but I guess since it doesn't sell well, we got rid of it. He did direct me to another Winn Dixie that carries Kosher items, but why would my Winn Dixie just, 'get rid of it'? At that point, me and my husband left the store and vowed never to return. We were completely offended. In the 20+ years living here, never have we ever felt segregated in our own community. With antisemitism on the rise, you would think a store as well respected as Winn Dixie is, would be more inclusive to continue to accommodate foods and products of all ethnic backgrounds, especially in Altamonte Springs, FL, where there is a Jewish presence. What a horrible chain no matter were u go u will see the same thing a nasty store with food that is rotten and has been sitting there for weeks not just that there prices are a joke and the people that work there are not helpful or happy to be there unlike other places . I would never shop in this place and would prefer anything but this place witch is only for the really poor and low income who are desperate to eat anything even if it has been out for a long time and probably will get them sick . This is an odd store, as it received a remodel a few years back, but it feels premature now compared to the newer remodels in Apopka and Casselberry. There are many of the same features, but it doesn't have the larger produce area of the Apopka store. Some of the aisles are laid out oddly as well, and it feels disjointed with the freezer section in the middle (or maybe I'm just used to them being on the ends of other grocery stores). The self check out registers could use some help, they have aged poorly and have difficulty scanning at times. Overall, it is not the worst place to shop when you need something, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go here consistently. read more

This location is SUPERRRR outdated. I feel like I'm shopping a Goodings or Albertsons store from the 80s...All other locations I've been to have been updated but this one feels dirty and old every time I'm here. I only come here for the location convenience but I rather drive over to the Longwood location to feel like I'm back in 2021. Lots of products missing from advertisements. I go there specifically for sales and it won't even be in stock. Seriously guys? I've given you guys 5 chances to change my mind and my first 4 experiences and I seem to be disappointed every time. Most employees are friendly but lines are always backed up very far in the aisles and the manager I think her name is Kimberly is not very friendly and doesn't seem to care when customers complain about long lines or issues in general. I personally had an issue one time with a sales sticker that was outdated and THEY forgot to take it down and she could care less about resolving the issues. Could feel her getting frustrated with me another time that I complained about the long line and she herself could've opened a register but chose to not help instead. Probably needs better management and this place will run better. Shouldn't be getting attitude or passive aggressiveness from the lady who runs this place. The employees are more nice than she is. I am a self-professed Publix snob; I've shopped there my whole life and also work there. That said -- I was VERY impressed by this Winn-Dixie. Winn-Dixie as a chain has always given me the heebie jeebies; usually dirty, poorly stocked, weird off-brands, zombie teenagers manning the checkout. Not an enjoyable experience at all. Imagine my surprise, then, when I walked into this Winn-Dixie off of 434 and West Town Parkway and not only was the store large, bright, with full shelves and plenty of variety of products, the employees were extremely friendly and knowledgable about specials, and when my roommate inquired about the Fuel Perks, our cashier fully explained the process without acting annoyed or inconvenienced. In the parking lot, the customer service continued. A young man approached us and helped unload our cart into our car before taking our cart back to the store. Honestly, I forgot I was shopping at a Winn Dixie at all. I wish I had gotten the names of the workers who helped us, but I'm sure I will see them again as I plan on returning! I love Winn Dixie because it is reasonably priced unlike Publix and has good quality food unlike Wal-Mart and Save-Rite. Also, a Winn Dixie card gives you discounts on select foods which usually saves me $20 or $30 at the end of my weekly shopping. read more

if you're buying a can of beans this place should do just fine. but anything else. don't shop here.. After my wife left publix she got a text from me. I needed mint leaf, strawberries, limes, and bananas for drinks. She decided to stop here on the way home. In quotes is the exact text message I got from her after stopping here. "Fuck it I will go back to public I fucking at Winn Dixie fucking trashy ass store dont carry shit" lmao!! my wife doesn't swear. let alone 3 times in one sentence. 5 times depending on what you consider swearing.. and she meant I will go back to publix, not public. Although i can tell she was mad based on how the text was written too. That text was a result of several visits to this location. mostly because its closer to the house. Every time the tomato's are mushy, the strawberries moldy, a lack of items, like chives, mint. and even milk that was bad but wasn't expired yet. plus other times I've made a comment about food in our house a long the lines of "where the hell did you get this", and she replies, " I know I know, I went to win Dixie". I guess my wife finally just snapped lol. because its not a one time issue. its always a issue of the quality of food here. so she drove back to publix just for the few basic items I needed. the reason I gave this place two stars is because a few of the people who work here are pretty friendly. but a smile and a hello doesn't make up for fuzzy green strawberries. read more

Went into Winn Dixie on 434 in Altamonte Springs this afternoon to purchase one item. I got the item and stood in line to checkout. The store was fairly busy. The woman ahead of me - I was in the 20 Items or Less line - had more than the required items and was wearing her mask below her nose. As she was finishing checking out another customer cut in front of me and said to the checkout person that she only had 4 limes and could she put them in a bag and pay for them. I only had one item. The cashier took her limes and proceeded to bag them. I said excuse me but I have been waiting to checkout. The cashier said her lane was closed, there was no sign, and the woman that had previously checked out was her last customer but she would check out the woman with the four limes and be done. I asked her why she let me stand on line if the line was indeed closed. I put my purchase on the counter and walked out. I won't go back. Winn Dixie's customer service stinks. read more

The customer service here is nice depending on who you talk to. It's a little frustrating that the lines are always long, but they go as fast as they can. Their selection of groceries is really good. I can almost always find what I need. Their produce is hit or miss as another reviewer mentioned. Sometimes their selection is terrible. I have purchased blueberries and strawberries that have mold growing on the bottom. I have also purchased bread products that had expired a week ago. So don't repeat my mistakes and check the dates and the produce carefully. read more

This Winn Dixie location is my favorite by far. The employees are always so helpful and sweet. The store is cleaner than most of the other ones I've visited and obviously business is great because it's always busy. The woman who works in the floral department is very skilled and always makes the most beautiful bouquets and arrangements. And Andrea at the customer service desk is so friendly. There's two cashiers that always greet me with a smile, ones a tall older man with glasses and the other is a younger girl with blonde hair. Keep up the great work Winn Dixie! read more
