Publix has always been a top tier grocery chain and the Hunter's Creek location is definitely on par. The staff is friendly and the store is well stocked. I almost never have to wait to check out and if I do, it's usually less than 5 minutes. Thankfully, I haven't had a shopping cart with wobbly wheels and there's always plenty of the little baskets for smaller trips. I order my sandwiches online and they're made correctly every time. And did I mention that there are lots of samples on Saturdays? And they have $5 sushi on Wednesdays. Love it. read more

There is a reason, well, several reasons that I can point directly at to explain the rise of Publix to the very definition of what a supermarket should and could be here in the southeastern United States. First, Publix has amazing customer service. You are continuously greeted by the employees as you walk through the supermarket. They also will address any question or concern you might have. Customer service is just one thing that sets Publix apart. Another thing is their weekly BOGO (buy one, get on free) deals. Every week they have a slew of great deals. We also cannot forget their subs, affectionately known as pub subs. These are great subs. One of my main go to subs their Italian. I also like their roast beef and cheese. My daughter, who is not a huge sandwich fan, even likes their chicken tenders subs. My son, who does like sandwiches, likes their Italian sub, as well. Kind of weird to realize that some of the best subs come from a supermarket, but Publix definitely delivers. Oh, another thing that I am a fan of is the Publix diet iced tea, available over by the deli section. The deli is also pretty impressive. You can get cakes and whatnot, but I really like their bread and they also have pizza dough do that you can make your own homemade pizza. All in all, Publix is a great supermarket and it is my go to supermarket. If you have been to Publix, I am sure you will understand. If you are not familiar with Publix supermarket, try them once and you will be a fan. Publix has come a long way since they began here in Florida. They have expanded throughout the southeast and continue to grow. As I said, I do recommend Publix, definitely the best supermarket around. read more

Like someone mentioned in a previous review, this grocery story took some getting used to. There are actually lots of gems when you have time to look at all of the nooks and crannies. There is an awareness about diet/health. The organic produce and plant-based options they offer are vast: Dairy free cheeses, tofus, plant-based milks, raw nuts, dried fruits, etc. Unfamiliar brands originally turned me away, but I remembered I was the same way with Trader Joe's initially. Greenwise is one they carry here and has become one of my favorites. Quality products! I love when they have Buy 1 Get 1 Free sales! Take your time if you come here. Best Publix in the hunters creek/south Orlando area. This Publix has the KINDEST employees who always put a smile on my face every time I'm in the store. I never have a hard time finding something because it's always super organized. The establishment is always super clean, as well as the bathrooms... almost always spotless. This was a wonderful, well stocked Publix for many years. Then the past few years, before Covid, it changed. If I have a list of 7 things that should be easy to find, I am lucky if they have 4 of them. Bogo can't be purchased because might only have one. I have been going to Williamsburg or Dyer Publix In Kissimmee. Even though Hunter's Creek Publix is under a mile away. The other stores are well stocked, rarely missing an item. I hope the management does something to bring it back to the great store it was before. read more

Visiting from Boynton, we purchased our Halloween horror nights tickets. Great price about $30 less than at the park. Fast and friendly service...ALWAYS! Whenever there's a publix nearby, it's my go-to supermarket! Didn't shop for any thing else other than the tickets. But the store looked clean and neat like any other Publix. This is an older Publix location. The way the store is built gives that away. Publix is always well stocked and clean, no matter where you seem to go. The only gripe I have about this particular location is that they don't have a handheld scanner at the register for scanning larger items in a shopping cart. I purchased three 12 pack sodas because of a buy 2 get 1 deal, but it was a bit of a hassle having to lift them onto the cash out belt. Other locations have the handheld scanner and scan larger and heavier items directly from the cart. read more

John in the deli department is absolutely terrible. He had an awful attitude and was complaining about making sandwiches that toddler could make. He wasn't accommodating to my boyfriend and I being vegan at all even though there is a vegan sandwich on the menu. He made every customer feel like a burden. He is a waste of space and if the deli knows what's good for him they should fire this low life immediately. read more

Absolutely love Publix. At first I was skeptical because I thought the prices were a bit high. I am from the northeast, and recently just moved to Orlando. Food appears to be much cheaper up there. After a few visits to my local and other Publix' I learned about their customer program, digital coupons and of course their "buy one get one". The BOGO is amazing, if you map your shopping visits accordingly you can save a ton. Another perk for me is the "free cookies" for the kids and balloons. This truly makes my trips there worthwhile with my two little girls. However, like all things Publix is not perfect. 1) I think this place sells chicken so expensive, to the point I buy poultry elsewhere, Target. The other negative is that though they are a private chain, unlike others Publix stores are not set up the same as others... so it takes some time to getting used to. read more

I have been a loyal customer at the Hunters Creek Publix for the past 35 years. I struggled to continue my relationship with this store from 2020 - 2022, but gave the store a lot of chances to get back on track. During Covid, the shelves were often poorly stocked, and many fresh fruits & veggies were unavailable due to supply issues. But this was the case everywhere. For the past 6 months, supply has returned to more normal levels, but the quality of produce has deteriorated to unacceptable levels. Produce is often over-ripe or under-ripe ... lots of soft spots & dark mold on fruit, spoiled avocados, and overly wet & smashed fresh veggies in the standing organic section along the wall. When I watch the stocking of these veggies, the bundles of kale, cilantro, & romaine are roughly handled and forced into place to stock more than there is room for. This causes tearing, bruising, and premature deterioration of the leaves ... add water sprayed excessively on the produce, and molding starts before it is purchased. The end result is battered produce that has a very short shelf life. I am vegan, so the fresh produce section is what I am interested in. There is not a large assortment of organic produce as compared to non-organic produce. Other vegan organic items such as tofu is limited ... I rarely find soft tofu, I have never found medium tofu, but firm & extra firm tofu is in abundance. Plant based yogurt is also limited ... I found Oui brand non-dairy yogurt & Lavva yogurt briefly. These are my two favorites, but are no longer stocked at this store. I am sad to conclude that it is time for me to move on ... so Whole Foods will get my future business. Even ordering online, Whole Foods does a better job with their limited online options. Thank you for reading. read more

Publix in general is a preferred store to shop. Yes some of the prices might be a little higher but they always have a good selection and fresh too. They have weekly bogo's plus other deals. I love their daily food demonstration/samples. It always looks great and the staff is friendly and helpful. You. Ant go wrong with their fried chi Ken, rotisserie or even wings. And I do love some good deli meats. We use publix bakery for many occasions including their cakes for personal and even work functions. We went shopping on new years day at around 8:30 am. There was no one in the store shopper wise. It was amazing! Their customer service desk is always easy and helpful. If they have a special or bogo and out of an item....go to the help desk and ask. I have been able to get a rain check for later to lock in the sale price which is awesome. Ours has daily soups and some have salads and hot items depending on location and store size. read more

Great publix. A little older but still kept up pretty well. Like all publix stores, it is well stocked and kept very clean. This store has a large parking lot that is quite easy to get in and out if. The check out is fast and easy as well. There is also the water filling station for water coolers in the front. read more

From Caribbean foods, personal care items, groceries items, car accessories, and even household items. The customer service was also superb. If you live in central Florida then you no doubt have a Publix near you. Convenience is great, this location just so happens to be my favorite location for the Publix subs. Sandwiches aren't just about ingredients, its also about construction. They seem to do a great job at this location, the right amounts of condiments, and oil and vinegar. I never get disappointed with the sub being too wet or too dry. The boars head meats are quality deliciousness, and the bread has wonderful texture.. When I open my sub its never a mess, all the ingredients are packed in the sub roll perfectly. Service is served with a smile. In fact when I pick up a sub from Publix for my husband he request this location because he says they make it the best. Also to note I dog their "ethnic" isle. You can find tortillas, Mexican drinks, salsas here for cheaper prices, or some delicious Swedish/ European cookies and candies. They offer Pizza dough balls in the deli, if you don't see them out ask, they usually have them in the freezer in the back. The dough is delicious and it saves you the time of making your own and is better than prepackaged premade pizza doughs. They have weekly deals, BOGO items we like to stock up on BOGO items like pasta, paper products and cleaning supplies since they rarely go bad. I find their cut up fruit packs expensive, so I just buy the fruit I want for a fruit salad and cut it up at home. They also have a vegan/ organic area near the produce and offer a variety of organic juices, and bolthouse products. read more

Best experience I've ever had at a grocery store. The staff really makes this place amazing. I haven't met one person at this publix that I don't like. They greet you, they say hello, they smile, and they engage you conversation. This store is an example of how customer service should be. The guy at the seafood counter. Amazingly nice and helpful. Older man with a grey beard and mustache. Every time I walk by the seafood counter he's quick to ask if he can help me. Even before I've had a chance to check out the options. In a way, even if I wasn't in the mood to buy seafood he entices you to want to buy something. Just ask him what's good and he'll give you recommendations and he'll give you an honest opinion. Heck, he'll even tell you how to cook it and what sauces are good to buy with it. This last weekend I was in shopping for my baby. I was in the diaper aisle. I didn't have to wait or look around for help. Out of nowhere this tall, nice and handsome manager appeared, asked if I needed help...he was very helpful. They were out of stock of the diapers I really wanted. But who cares! When you have good customer service, I believe customers can be flexible and understanding. Plus, how could I be disappointed at my favorite publix?! oh, and I now have a new crush... Oh, I cant forget about the customer service counter. Anytime I have a issue they resolve it immediately. I bought a box of Krispy cream donuts and I wasn't satisfied after eating one of the donuts. I felt like I wasted my money on some hard stale donuts. So I returned them the next day. No questions asked. I basically said I didn't like the donuts and they returned them immediately. Cash back and everything! And if that wasn't enough praise about this store.. every single time they ask if I need help out to the car. They walk out with me, engage conversation, load the car and take the cart away. This place is like a well oiled machine. I love the fact they hire young, old, white, black, Latin and disabled. Very diverse. This place doesn't discriminate when it comes to hiring. read more

Stopped in due to not doing Wally World pickup, it's always clean in the mornings when I do stop in and the employees always speak, which is rare. And since I do limit my visiting any store and going out all together it's nice to see nowadays. I have 1 issue - I love lemon anything and they have a lemon cake, well slices and it's usually with a thin layer of glaze on it. I told myself to order this cake but request they load it up with icing. But I buy 1 or 2 and eat the top inch off of all the slices. And they always have very nice clean looking fruit. I do miss the Publix yogurt smoothies they used to sale. read more

The Publix in Hunter's Creek is fabulous! The staff always greets you and asks if you need help with anything. It's always clean and well stocked. If I need boxes for packaging or storage they go find some for m e. They offer to take your groceries out to the car for you AND load them in the trunk. I ended up leaving this one and going to a different one instead. I mean, don't get me wrong, Publix is always a good choice, but there are some differences depending on location. We went in tonight at 8pm specifically for fried chicken and a Publix sub. When we walked in we immediately noticed there was no fried chicken, no wings, no rotisserie chicken. Nothing! The sub station was completely closed down and when we asked if we could get the chicken tender sub (which they're advertising) they said they were out. We decided to do some normal grocery shopping and were extremely disappointed with the selection and quality of produce. The strawberries were old and over ripe, there were no blueberries and the organic lettuces were all wilted. This Publix has gone downhill in the last year. Thank god they opened a Lucky's Market next door. We've been going there for produce and their selection is so much better and the quality is amazing!!! read more

This hunters creek public location has never missed a beat as far as customer service and giving the client an 101% experience . They are aware of your needs, always asking if they can assist you , and you will never have to wait on someone helping you , they are all so pleasant and professional and if they don't have an item they will gladly order it for you and with no hesitation. My hubby and The kids say we will always be a Publix family ! Lucky's market is right across the street and never has enough associates to assist you , most of there registers are for you to ring up items yourself..... and what a nightmare that is when trying to find veggies and fruit etc . I say you might as well get a job at Lucky's to get trained bc there are never enough people to help you at there place when looking for items on how to ring them up , I've had associates who I had to wave down at Lucky's bc they were too busy working with headphones on . I told myself I would never go back again after ( oh and finally we had a register associate and not a machine ) the associate behind the register told my husband to just take the turkey in our car instead of her kindly bagging it for us like Publix would , so she doesn't have to come around her corner and get it .... her excuse was " oh the turkey is going to brake the bag anyways " .. I like this grocery store. Its convenient and you can get really great deals. I always find some kind of buy one get one for free. They always have great brewed honey tea with ginseng I get for a gallon (bogo). Everything pretty much looks fresh too. TERRIFIC!!! read more
