Salad options with a sticker noting that a portion of the purchase benefits local LGBTQ+ charities.

Weaver Street is great. Living in the area, it's super convenient to walk down to grab produce or a snack when I need it. The vast majority of their prepared foods and bakery items made in-house are delicious and reasonably priced. Plenty of seating options to sit at the store if you'd like to eat there, too. The prices are a little high (best way to describe it is that it's like a locally owned Whole Foods), but knowing that most of what they sell supports local farming or co-ops makes up for it. Lastly, their employees are always so nice and helpful. And on top of that, they proudly support LGBTQ+ individuals, and welcome everyone.

Amazing coop market in downtown Raleigh. I stopped in for lunch and put together a really nice meal at the hot bar. Barbecue pork (of course) and some veggies. A pretty good portion and with a big bottle of fizzy water, $11. Nice! Lots of ready-to-eat and ready-to-heat meals here. And lots of other goodies that you can definitely use to fill in your kitchen. The condos nearby must love this place! They do have validation for parking and there is street parking nearby too. What an awesome little market! It blew my mind how cool this place is. If you lived downtown, this is the place to go to get your groceries. I walked around to compare the prices to regular groceries stores and it's not bad at all. The meat is a bit pricey but everything else is about right. I also like the coffee bar, beer selection, variety of food on the hot bar, deli, pizza stand, and more. There's also an upstairs area that I didn't get to check out. It looks like office space and a bar. What a way to make the best out of a space! The bathrooms are also clean. Not only, there was a sign about 60 minute free parking. I love this concept! I hope that it stays.

This local market downtown was very cool and had a lot of good priced local items as well as items like breads and pastries made there. We could have easily spent an hour going through all the items for sale there and I would definitely shop here if I lived locally. A great place.

Why was there no fanfare when this store opened a month ago? This place is so deserving. The employees are among the most friendly I've seen, and they're proud of this clean, bright, modern store. Kristen in produce told me WSM is a co-op. Employees, and shoppers who choose to pay an annual fee, share ownership. She said they have a board of directors, and they pay employees a living wage. You don't have to join the co-op to shop here. They have a hot food bar ($8.99/lb.), a nice olive bar ($10.99/lb.), a specialty cheese case, a beautiful bread section, and a gorgeous produce department. These are in addition to a small grocery section and a small wine section. Not everything is organic, but you can find lots of healthy foods. Upstairs, you'll find two balconies (one indoors and one outdoors), a demonstration kitchen, and a small bar with "ten on tap," although it was closed today. Some prices were similar to what you'd find in other local groceries, but some prices were a bit higher. We parked in a near-by garage that's free on weekends. Weaver Street Market gives us a good reason to go to downtown Raleigh more often!

Anytime I dine at the Morgan Street Food Hall, I have to pay a visit to this great local and primarily organic food market. On this particular day I procured a variety of organic local apples, and they were all delectable. There is a fabulous selection available of wine from independent makers. And I spied a table full of freshly baked bread that I could smell even through my mask! I love this place. If it was closer to home, they would see my face every day!

What a wonderful location! Close to Dorothea Dix if you are here walking your dog in the park or are a fellow worker for the State of North Carolina. Takes less than 10 minutes to grab a quick bite of lunch here! Love their second story outdoor seating! So nice to get away from a stuffy work building, enjoy fresh air, local food, and people watch from above! I personally like going out here when its a little bit cold outside so the balcony is deserted and you can be alone and away from the crowd! If you are a fan of fancy ramen you are going to LOVE THEIR HOT BAR!! They have a self serve option of the meat based broth or the plant based miso! Options for gluten free rice noodles or hearty wheat based noodles. Serving size is MASSIVE. Speaking as a marathon runner, if you have an appetite this is the place to go!

First time here and there is a lot of grocery and beauty love to take in! Wallace was on point in teaching me how to use the bread slicing machine so I keep all of these . We bought the seeded ciabatta for 2.89 and I feel like that is a steal for fresh baked bread. I can't wait to come back and learn more about WSM!

A Truly Artisanal Bakery…read more I rarely leave reviews on yelp anymore, but this bakery is so impressive, it inspired me to type this down. I'm from the Bay Area and loved going to all kinds of bakery when I travel. I did not have much expectations when I came to Raleigh. I tried Paul and Jack and couple other bakeries, they were all good, but not impressive. The first thing I noticed was their Mill Room, and second I noticed that they have 100 score on hygiene. Not that I care about the score that much but still impressive. Then We got a bunch of pastries, the shortbread was the first one we tried and wow, it was so simple yet so flavorful, truly malted tasting shortbread, it has so much depth in taste. Then I had a had a ham and cheese croissant, it was on the salty side but I kept eating it when I'm not even hungry. The true winner though, is the plain croissant I got which traveled with me for 72 hours back home. I got it out of my bag, slightly flattened by all my stuff, I expect it to taste flat and meh. I put it in the oven for 6 minutes and it turned out to be the best croissant I've had. It was flaky, soft and soo flavorful. Now I cannot stop thinking about it. Lastly, I want to say that with so many pop ups, new bakeries coming up in different cities, often times we were chasing that unique flavors, that special toppings on croissants, but Boulted Bread stayed true to bread, and perfected the craft without focusing on "exotic" or "special" flavors. I truly respect this.

A bialy (bee-AH-lee) is a traditional Polish-Jewish bread roll, similar to a bagel but with key differences: it is baked, not boiled, has a dimpled center filled with onion bits and poppy seeds, and is generally softer and less dense. Originating in Białystok, Poland, these rolls are traditionally served plain or toasted with toppings like butter or schmear. 2. Rye shortbread. Not too sweet. Just perfection! 3. Bran biscotti. I like the idea of a high-fiber bran biscotti over a refined flour one. 4. Buchi Tepache. I got the mango-pineapple flavor. This is a local NC brand. It's a mildly fermented drink that originated in Mexico. I got the ingredients from their website (drinkbuchi.com): Organic Tibicos (Water, Organic Fair Trade Certified™* Cane Sugar, Organic Kefir Culture), Organic Apple Cider Vinegar, Organic Mango Puree, Organic Pineapple Juice Concentrate, Organic Whole Lemon Puree, Organic Mango Natural Flavor, Organic Pineapple Natural Flavor, Organic Monk Fruit Extract. 5. The baguette. Unlike a refined flour white bread baguette at La Farm Bakery, this one is made of a red wheat flour. Turkey Red flour is an heirloom, organic hard red winter wheat brought to Kansas in 1873 by Mennonite immigrants. Prized for its rich, nutty flavor and superior baking qualities, it is often used for artisan bread, sourdough, and pasta due to its unique, sometimes more digestible, gluten profile. It is commonly stone-ground and available from local Kansas millers. 6. The star of the show was the Everything Croissant. Like the Everything Bagel but soft and buttery. Topped with all the sesame seeds and seasonings with a cream cheese interior. So good! I do plan on returning!
