This is my favorite publix that is near me. It's always clean and well stocked. I take advantage of their bogo special items and they always have a large selection of items to choose from. Some bogo are located at the front of the store but there are more throughout the store. There's plenty of parking and several entrances and exits as this is on a very busy corner/ street. The cashier's are always so pleasant and the baggers offer to help carry items to your car . read more

Good selection, shelves are stock. Like everywhere else, greedy corporations stock the stores shelves with higher priced, reduced sized product. Nicely lit, pleasant staff, competent and clean pharmacy. Good parking. Cleanish bathroom. Non-food items abound. Senior discount day ( -5%). Deli sections are fine. I don't do a lot of couponing but their e-vertising is better than inoffensive. I shop here at least once a month. read more

Three words: Key lime pie. It's delicious. It is as tart as a Key lime pie should be but also sweet and creamy. The filling is creamier than other types that don't use whole cream. The graham cracker crust is perfectly crunchy, not dry, and crumbles with a bit of bite to it. I love that there is whipped cream with slivered almonds sprinkled around the rim. The Key lime on top is a perfectly pixelated circle of white chocolate. I was expecting a slice of real Key lime but I actually like the chocolate which keeps better than a sliced lime would have, plus it's a pie, not a mojito. Yep, I'm giving Publix 5 stars based solely on their Key lime pie. Oh, plus they gave out $10 gift cards for getting a flu vaccine there a few years back. ‍ read more

Out of the park. This Publix Super Market just knocked my order for a fresh fruit patter right out of the park - kudos! Thrilled with the service and quality? And then some! I've ordered maybe a dozen times from this high-end grocery (with great prices) and they have yet to disapoint. When I went to physically pick up the tray I must admit, it took a tad extra "heft" as the tray was loaded with beautifully cut and fantastically placed food that was a sight to behold. The tray was a gift for a medical provider who greatly appreciate it, this summer fresh fruit tray should leave no doubt as to how much I value their medical services. I don't shop at Publix often since their prices are higher than comparable supermarkets, but I recommend this Publix location since their customer service is phenomenal. Pros -excellent customer service. I was greeted by numerous employees throughout the store and offered assistance. When I did need assistance finding a product, a friendly employee helped me right away -great product selection. I especially like their selection of international foods, meal kits, and cheeses -organized, easy to find what you are looking for -clean and well stocked -all employees are wearing masks -upon arrival an employee offers you a sanitized cart Cons: -pricier than other grocery stores in the area like Wegmans, Harris Teeter, and Food Lion -not as easy to maneuver as other groceries stores (for instance, the area in between the aisles and the checkout) This is not my primary place for groceries, but I would choose this Publix location when I need something only sold at Publix. read more

Every time I go into this location the carts are clean and the staff are amazing. I am new to Publix but my husband is a Florida man. So Yes, that mean he is happy when I drive across town to get him one of their delicious subs. It's like a total food order for the whole family. My daughters are now just as hooked as he is. The bread, meats and veggies are always fresh. I am trying to be more health conscious and realize dairy hates me. Vio Life and Follow Your Heart brand have been God sent. I am so happy with the various selection of products they carry. Last week I was on the hunt for bamboo sticks because I wanted kabobs on a stick. They had various sizes. I was like a kid in a candy store. My daughter is a baker and they had a mini torch she could use to make crem brulee. I also found a tea filter that. Truly winning on my shopping trips. All Publix are wonderful and this location is definitely amazing. Staff is all phenomenal...just to name a few...Linda and Brian and Gary and Thin Thin and Debra...and on and on. From the employees stocking shelves and caring about expiration dates and cleanliness to meat department (and seafood) employees who never hesitate to help and go above and beyond. I've never had an employee make me feel foolish or bothersome for questions and they always help me find things. I leave this store with a smile because it is truly a special place. About the only negative (really more sad) is there has been a lot of management changes and shifts of late. I wish management could stay steady for longer but employees do an excellent job and all the managers are wonderful. read more

Publix is a great grocery store. It is always clean and the shelves are well stocked. It is not, however my GO TO grocery store. I find that in general the prices are a bit higher than other local grocery chains. I always browse the ads and today I stopped in for a few particular items. One item was out of stock and I got a rain check. Everyone that I encountered was friendly and helpful. Weekday mornings are the best for ANY and ALL types of shopping. Publix is not the most convenient grocery store to us but since we received a $5 off $30 coupon we decided to check it out! And, I was excited since I have not visited one since Florida. First thought when we walked in was this is overwhelming! The bakery section looked amazing, I can't wait to try a few of their sweet treats. And, the flowers they had to purchase were beautiful. As far as the deals go, definitely comparable to other grocery stores around the area. They offer several Publix brands and if you do not like them you can return it and get your money back. So far, I have not been disappointed! Service was fantastic from when we walked in to when we walked out. Cory was awesome and walked with us to our car with the groceries then offered a coupon for a free pasta sauce while thanking us for our business. If this superior customer service continues then I will be an extremely happy customer but I am not sure if it is something that is occurring due to the store being opened recently. Downsides: the aisles are smaller so navigating while busy was tough And, they mentioned we came during a downtime which worried me because they were still slammed! read more

Just had the worst experience at this Publix. Went there to pick up two orders, and while the deli order was ready, the cake order was not. Asked if they could get the cake order done and were told that would have to return later in the day as they don't have enough help. Asked for the store manager and she was too busy to be bothered to talk to us. The assistant manager and bakery manager refused to do anything to help. Will be taking our future business elsewhere- plenty of other stores in the area that will appreciate the business. read more

Okay, okay, okay. NOW I see what all the fuss is about. I had never heard of Publix until word was going around that it was coming to Cary, North Carolina. All of my friends who had ever been to a Publix were positively gushing about having a Publix near them. I didn't see what the big deal was. I mean, it's just a grocery store right? Wrong! I walked into Publix and for some reason a big goofy grin spread across my face. Publix is like no other grocery store I have ever visited before. I walked in and it looked like the store had just opened up 10 minutes before. The employees were all smiles and greeted me warmly. The Isles were clean; nothing was out of place. It still looks like a brand new store. Everything just looked so shiny and sparkly that I just had to go up and down every single aisle even though I only came for one thing. So, the reason for my visit was twofold: to pick up a seafood in the bag meal that I saw advertised when I was been binge-watching one of my TV shows and to finally visit THE Publix. When I could not find what I eas looking for on my own, I attempted to get the attention of the lady in the seafood department. Her back was towards me as she was washing her hands at the sink. When I got her attention she smiled, turned around and... not only did she turn to talk to me, but she came from behind the counter to stand right next to me. I mentioned what I was looking for and that it also happened to be my first time at Publix and it just seemed to make her day. We chatted it up about this, about that, and boy was she a wealth of knowledge. I told her how pleased I was with the store and she said that's the Publix difference. I am now a believer. An employee at the checkout was incredibly rude to me this morning for simply walking up to his register, which unbeknownst to me was closed. I am injured and had a toddler and a baby with me and besides this rude man, three others just stood looking at me and offered zero help. Not sure if their registers were also all closed or what but some customer service or basic kindness was nowhere to be found at this location today. We will not be back. read more

This is my favorite grocery store - by FAR. I live in Raleigh but one of my sons plays soccer and a lot of the practices are in Cary. I actually look forward to grocery shopping here during his practices. Great prices, awesome buy one deals. Fresh produce meats seafood and international items. Nice deli and very very clean. The employees are very friendly without being intrusive or annoying. Feels like shopping I imagine would have been in the 1960's when customer service mattered. I don't work here, never have and am not even in the industry. This has not been coerced and I am not stuck in their bathroom begging to get out. I promise. read more

I am from Florida, and I have to say that this is one of the worst Publix I have shopped at. The deli department is lacking serious customer service skills and the clerks always have attitude like you are bothering them. The produce has a horrible selection and the bakery department always has bare shelves and don't dare ask them for something that's not there because they just may snap at you! Oh, and did I mention the seafood and meat department...they are always out of product as well. And I've noticed they always give the same answer "I ordered it but it didn't come on our truck". BS. Corporate will be hearing about this. Someone from corporate needs to come up here and see what's going on here and teach the staff on the Publix quality of products and customer service! I will travel to another store before EVER shopping at this location again. Walmart has better service and products available and that's saying a lot! read more

Every single holiday football Valentines this particular bakery is never has enough mini cakes and or cakes for people to purchase when shopping. The Bakery staff are rude. Even asked to speak to the manager and she was extremely rude this is typically not how Publix presents itself at all. I'm usually pretty skeptical about things from Florida. We were first introduced to Publix at our cousin's birthday party when I was totally floored by some legit chocolate cupcakes. Fast forward a bunch of years later, and a Publix opened up a mile from our house. We're officially hooked. We have used this location for catering on more than one occasion for baked goods as well as their deli platters. They have a great wine selection. Their customer service in each department is really wonderful. It's a clean grocery store and I love the specials displays when you first walk in. The top 3 departments for me are probably bakery, butcher and sushi bar. $5 sushi Wednesday's may make some cringe, but the fish is still fresh and it makes for a great lunch! The cuts of meat and different ways they prepare it make for fun dinners, especially on the grill, which is great since we cook outside even in January. Thanks NC weather! The staff also has gotten to know my son by name. He's a bit of a toddler mess, but they always greet him with a smile and a sticker. Every Publix we've visited is bright and clean, and this one is no exception. On our latest visit, the seafood counter had lots of fresh offerings, and the catfish I bought and later cooked was fresh and tasty. We also chose Chicken Pomodoro with Gnocchis, a ready-to-cook meal. It was fun to make, had all necessary ingredients, and came with very-clear directions for preparing. Unfortunately, it was bland and nothing special. On the plus side, as we checked out, an employee told us that we can always get our fish and ready-to-cook meals prepared at the store, free of charge! read more

Publix is da bomb dot com! Seriously best grocery store ever. Customer service is top notch, literally every employee you pass asks how you're doing and how can they help. And the cashiers are so friendly and ask you about your day. Then the bagboys are also very friendly and love walking your groceries to your car (very helpful with me being pregnant and all). They're the sweetest kids. The store is clean and the aisles are well stocked. There's also a great selection of groceries... you can probably find whatever you could want here. Some things you need to try if you're new to Publix- bakery items (bread, pastries, cookies, custom cakes), made to order sub sandwiches, aprons cooking demos/samples, fresh meat and fish departments (they will repackage meat for you if you need more or less than what is out there). Oh, and they always have great 2 for 1 deals on things you actually want to buy. And of course the produce section showcases beautiful and fresh fruits & veggies (they don't go bad at my house too fast). And the deli counter.. love the cold cuts. Really, I can't say a bad thing about Publix. I go way out of my way to shop here because shopping really is a pleasure. And the prices are very competitive with the other grocery stores in town... and for the great customer service I'd rather support those jobs and that business model than the stores by me where everyone hates their job and no one cares a whole lot. I also love that oftentimes I see managers stocking the floor and helping customers, now that's a company with employees who love their jobs and care about the store! Publix is LEGENDARY. I will stay at Publix as a loyal customer and never go back to the Harris Teeter across the street unless Publix is closed (or unless I'm jaded from repetition). When I lived in Florida, I rarely went to Publix, but I have wanted to go ever since they have swarmed the Triangle. They had the friendliest staff I have ever seen at a grocery for many reasons: One of my friends had a sandwich from Publix when we were out on a get together and he said it was the best sandwich he had. So, while I was at Publix, I tried to find it, but they didn't have anymore. So what the kind lady did was get a scoop of the Cransational Everoast and put it on deli sub bread and she asked me what I wanted on it. I had to pay no additional cost and got twice as much! I also wanted Kielbasa and got help from an Meat Guy who was outgoing and told me how he usually made his Publix kielbasa and let me have a sample. I was amazed at how he had mastered it and bought some so I could try. Finally, one of the things Publix will do is ask to take your bags to your car. I asked how they were this great at their customer support and a bagger told me they have protocol to do so. It doesn't matter if you only have one item or two carts, the baggers always will ask you twice if they can carry your groceries. Overall, I honestly felt like a VIP and they were so darn friendly! I could go back just to make friends with the staff And more importantly, the food was WAY better than any other grocery stores. A relatively new addition to the area, Publix has entered the ultra-competitive Kildaire Farm Rd/Cary supermarket row that includes 2 Harris Teeter's, a Whole Foods, Wal-Mart and a Trader Joe's within a 3 mile radius, and I know I am forgetting some places. How does Publix compare? Well, there are some pluses and minuses. +The bakery department is where it's at. Great genuine people there, fresh breads including challah (which this Jew is a fan of), and cookies/pastries stacked high. -I'm not a fan of the display when you walk into the store showing 2 carts with the same items and comparing the total bill at Publix and Harris Teeter. Maybe it's because I'm a savvy shopper and have been doing the grocery shopping for my house for years, but I there is some cherry-picking going on. I find that in general Publix is cheaper, but there are plenty of items where it makes more sense to drive over to Teeter. Chicken breasts for example are about half the price at Teeter as Publix, maybe we should fill the cart with chicken breasts? It's not a major offense and I understand the posturing and message here, but the disinformation from the moment you enter the store kind of annoys me. This company originated from FL which is where the bulk of the crazies live so I'm not shocked. -Aisle sizes are smaller than other grocery stores... Creating more awkward encounters of bumping shopping carts with people that you don't necessarily want to talk to. +Attentive customer service. During our sons first few months, the staff made sure to have his formula stocked every Sunday morning, even though it was one of the toughest brands to find in the area. Much appreciated. Deli/bakery/cashiers are all friendly too, almost to a fault for me to the point where it can seem fake. -No discount shopper card, everyone gets the same discounts. What about special coupons for customers based on past purchases which you get at places like Teeter and CVS? I think Publix is losing out on a lot of potential big data analytics around location and demographic and specific customer trends by not tracking these sorts of things. I'm surprised in the service economy we live in that Publix can be considered a real threat when they leave this all on the table. Again, they are from FL so I'm not exactly expecting a forward-thinking organization. +The fact that every employee or most employees have an ownership stake in the company. Alignment of interests between employees and the company is great and should lead to better retention and better staff morale. +Walking out and placing the groceries in your car is a step above the competitors. It is generally a positive, except the few times the attendant tried to pick up my baby and put him in the car seat. Dude, your job is to put the groceries in the trunk, not my baby. Overall, Publix generally has better prices and a more encouraged workforce due to the employee/company alignment, but is behind the competition on several facets, mainly customer analytics. I generally go here for my groceries, but if I am not in a social mood I am likely to go to Teeter instead where the employees are more even-tempered. read more

First time visiting this Publix and it was very nice and clean. I wish we had them near where I live and I didn't have to drive almost an hour to shop in one. I love the bakery and deli area. Customer service was excellent and they kept offering their assistance. Prices for the most part were great with a few exceptions and variety was above anything where I live (compared to Walmart/Foodlion). I can't make the trip often but will when I can. One of the best and cleanest supermarkets I've ever been in. They are offering samples of Thier products since they just opened. Everything is made fresh daily from breads to seafood! I enjoy shopping at this Publix for the convenience, quality, sales and customer service but today Nick was the cashier who checked me out and he was one of the friendliest and most enjoyable cashiers I've ever had ring me out.  I told him he'd be great in any customer service role and how much I appreciated his genuinely happy, upbeat, friendly demeanor.  He should be considered for a move into a leadership or training role in customer service!  Sydney was helping him and she was very sweet.  I think she'll do just fine in customer facing roles, too! read more
