Both solid, satisfying lunches. On the drinks, the cold brew made with Joe Van Gogh beans was great--smooth and well-balanced. The iced café au lait was acceptable, nothing memorable but it did the job. The bakery case alone is worth a stop: cannoli, cranberry almond muffins, strawberry streusel coffee cake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a rack of croissants. I was looking for a place to read a book while enjoying breakfast. This place hit the mark. I originally looked into Pineapple Sol but I could get the same thing here for literally 1/3 the price!! This is a cute little bakery with plenty of outside seating and indoor seating! The parking is a little bit limited because it is a very popular place and it's surrounded by parking that is designated for other businesses. When I went, there was a huge pothole as you round the corner so just be careful of that! The service is great and the way that the kitchen prepared my order was very thoughtful and careful with my daughter's dairy and egg allergy (which is hard in the breakfast place) and they made it work, cleaning the grill and changing gloves! As for the food, it was a little bit on the smaller end, but it was pretty great good flavor and a nice flaky on the croissants! We got the breakfast sandwich with bacon and they did a great job with them! The only complaint I would have would be that the sausage patty was a little bit on the dryer side, but not horrible. Chanticleer is a hidden gem in Cary! I don't know why it's taken me so long to discover it. The staff are all super friendly and welcoming. They helped me navigate my coffee order and executed it to perfection. They also answered all of my gluten free questions and took extra precautions for my allergy. The egg white and cheese sandwich with turkey bacon was great. Pro tip: Order it with a double portion of egg white for added protein. I also got an iced cafe latte with caramel. You can get a punch card for every coffee and get one free on your tenth purchase. They have a great pastry selection. I got an almond croissant to go for my mom on a recommendation from a friend that said it's a can't miss! I can't believe I hadn't been here sooner--I'm so glad I finally checked it out. My friends and I met for breakfast and were lucky enough to snag a booth on a busy Sunday morning. A serving is three strips of bacon (when it's this thin). The maple pecan pumpkin coffee cake dessert was delicious. I enjoyed an iced pumpkin latte. Very good! No real complaints. Came in on a Sunday with a friend, we had a very pleasant time! They have a fairly large menu to choose from, with seasonal coffee drinks that were very tasty. The white chocolate peppermint mocha wasn't too sweet and overpowering, it was tasty. The star of the show was the croissant bacon egg and cheese! The croissant was fresh and buttery, it was a really great breakfast. There is plenty of searing inside and the staff are very nice. The service is quick too! They are doing a December Holiday giveaway that gives you a random prize if you come back in January with your red envelope. I'll definitely be back to try out new items! read more

I ended up getting the BLT Salad, Onion Soup, and Banana Cream Cheesecake. The salad was huge and was pretty good with lots of bacon bits and creamy dressing. The French Onion Soup was flavorful with some melted cheese on top. The Banana Cream Cheesecake was excellent! Such a lovely banana flavor that was decadent and so good! I have to update today. While this is one of my favorite places to go, and I love most everything here, I get so disappointed when I order a well toasted muffin that looks like it wasn't toasted. I want a crisp, browned muffin. I didn't have it in me to take it back and ask them to redo it today. But why can't they ever get this one right? Is it the way they toast it? I don't know. Came here recently to grab a croissant and a latte! The parking lot was a little bumpy (fill in the pothole, please!) but other than that, parking near the cafe was pretty easy. There were quite a few people inside when we went, but the line was thankfully short so we managed to order quickly. I got a chocolate croissant and it was tasty! Not amazing but not bad at all. Our lattes were prepared quickly, although I was surprised that the person who made them didn't call out my name to alert me when they were ready. They were sitting there for a second before my wife pointed out that the two lattes sitting in the pick-up area were probably ours :) My latte was good! Slow service getting coffees this morning (Sunday 5/3) around 10:15am. We complained three times and asked where our drinks were. Our coffees arrived only after we had finished eating our food. Part of the coffee order was delivered and when we asked for one of the missing coffees, we found the late one was in their queue behind someone else. Management needs more baristas and/or machines to deliver the beverages more timely. Very disappointed in our visit as compared to others where service has been much better. We were treating out of town family and they were disappointed as well. read more

My friend and I came here for brunch on a Saturday afternoon and it was quite busy. The line to order reached the door, but it moved pretty quick. The baristas were friendly and the food came out really fast despite the long line. I ordered the breakfast sandwich on a croissant which was good although it was a lot smaller than I was expecting. I did not order a drink this time, but I've tried their coffee before and it's pretty good. Aside from the small portion size, I have no other complaints and this is a great brunch spot! read more

At this establishment, you order at the counter and are handed a buzzer to indicate when your food is ready. The cafe has a minimalist design and is a casual setting. I tried the Normandy sandwich with the pasta salad as a side. The sandwich was simple but was served warm, and the fruit complemented the cheese well. I had a almond butter croissant. It was very good. It wasn't very flaky inside. The outside was flaky and crispy and the inside was like a cake consistency. It was good. I could taste more of the vanilla than the butter. Something to go along with my coffee. The service was the only reason for the 4 stars instead of 5. They didn't seem friendly. The place is near my friend's gym so we came here for brunch after working out together. I really enjoyed the gingerbread latte on their seasonal menu! I also decided on a chicien salad coissant with a side of tomato bisque soup which was pretty good and the coissant was of a decent shape. I also got a cheese danish too, which I really enjoyed! Originally I was hoping to get the quiche of the day, but I am allergic to pork and it had bacon, so I do wish it was able to be substituted with eithet turkey bacon or without, which wasn't available.
