I just had the absolute worst experience at this Publix that I've ever had in my entire life. The deli department was horrible. Beyond that, the manager Jason, was speaking loud and kicked me out because I started to record his aggression of him standing behind me as I simply order a sandwich. This supermarket has improved a bit. My last review I only gave it two stars (12/20) because I went there for Hanukah candles and they didn't have any. This time I went here for Yahrzeit candles (to memorialize those that have passed - you light it before Yom Kippur -the holiest day of the year for the Jewish religion) and they had a lot (the other Publix on Hidden Valley in Boca didn't have any). I spoke to the Mgr (Alex) when I checked out to thank him and he said he had seen a lot of people buy them. They had a nice hefty section of items needed for the holiday which was a nice change. So I thank you for that! The store has all of the other items that a Publix would have-meats, ice, flowers, chicken (though not a huge selection) and more. TY read more

Publix is one of those supermarkets that I've always wanted to go into, but never really had the opportunity to. So when we were in Florida and we were trying to get some snacks and things for a road trip, the people we were with suggested we go to Publix. So I was a little more than excited that I finally got to experience this place for myself and see what all the hubbub was about. I know you're thinking, "Dan? What is there to get so excited about a grocery store anyway?" Well, let me tell you something, I've gone to a lot of grocery stores and I would say at least 75% of them are somewhat in disarray. This place, was super clean everything was stocked all of the products were faced, the end caps were all filled, and the floors were super clean. That right there put them in my top 5 grocery store experiences. A couple of the items I was looking for I needed help finding, and I have to say that the people that work there were some of the nicest I've ever experienced. To be completely honest one of the items was right behind me that I overlooked, and the person I was asking for help from pointed it out to me in such a gracious way and didn't make me feel like a blind idiot at all. So I have to give them mad props for that. Price wise, they were cheaper than most of the other stores that I had been to, and I really like that. The management at Publix needs a total overhaul. The deli department at this location has 1 person working the sandwich and hot food counter at NOON ON A MONDAY. This is one of the hundreds of Publixes that dot the South Florida residential area. Truly, if told someone to meet you at the corner of a Publix and Walgreens, that's almost every intersection there is here in FL. In fact, when patients ask their physicians to send their prescriptions to a Walgreens, they can just say which publix it's near (though they should just go to publix b/c half the most generic ones are free), and everyone will know where that is. This publix does NOT have a pharmacy which is a pain b/c one has to go to the 5th avenue one up a few mins away- would have been nice if this one had a pharmacy b/c there's a LA fitness, Michaels, Bath and Beauty Works, TJ MAx, Forever 21 to browse while you are waiting... Typical Publix- this parking lot is not as crazy as the 1 way street ones around that I absolute hate. It is more spacious than some others, so you don't feel as cramped and shopping is indeed more of a "pleasure" than other places. Same selection, quality, etc as other Publixes- not much detraction. Their fill water machines outside are often out of order BTW if you're someone who does that. read more

Not the best part of town & definitely not one of my favorite Publix locations, but I still come here occasionally. Why? Because it's convenient. The deli is hit or miss, it depends on who is working. How can they be out of rotisserie chicken at 5:30pm on a weeknight? Call me crazy, but after work is a popular time for people to grab a chicken, right? The produce department is also hit or miss. It just seems like I can never find any ripe fruit & the lettuce is never fresh. But sometimes I will find some awesome blueberries or decent cucumbers. It's a crapshoot. The bakery is fine & everything has been fresh, so no complaints here. Keep in mind they don't have the selection most of the other stores have. They always have my G2 low calorie orange Gatorade in stock-which is a big plus for me. I guess orange isn't a popular flavor because I can't always find it. I'll stop here on my way to work or on my way home. This is not a Publix I shop in regularly. Convenience is key & that brings me here a few times a month. Personally, I feel that they can clean this store up a bit. For example, the yogurt section is always watery & sticky. Same with the cottage cheese. I always find water on top of the containers. Watch the expiration dates, especially with the yogurt. Cashiers have all been friendly and helpful. I know part of managing is delegating, but I find it odd that I never see any managers actually working. Pretty much they stand around chit-chatting with one another & I see this every single time I'm in this store. It's frustrating because this store really could use some TLC. Come on managers, less chit chat & more hands on work & maybe then the yogurts won't be covered in water & hopefully the deli clerks will remember to make chicken for the after work dinner crowd. 3 stars for the sandwich, but rounding down for the super slow service (I know this is a grocery store, but taking 25 minutes to make 2 sandwiches is still ridiculous). There are giant sandwiches to be found here, but the service was sooooooooooooooooooo slow. We came by around 8pm on a Thursday night, and there was one person in line in front of us. For some reason, it took about 15 minutes to make her ONE sandwich. The guy working there moved so slowly, it was painful to watch. For the sandwiches, you can choose from 3 different breads (white, wheat, multi-grain), and from a bunch of different combinations, or make a custom sandwich. After choosing the protein, you can then customize your vegetables and condiments- similar to Subway, but with slightly less choices. When it was finally our turn, we ordered the Chicken Tender Sandwich (Whole/$8.89, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=ZhH8a0n5vv5QajCCF5temw&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg), which was gigantic for price. Since we had to stop by another store before eating the sandwich, it was at least an hour before we ate the sandwich, and I probably would've had a better experience had I eaten it right away. This is the Publix that time forgot. It is dirty, dark, and small. This is nothing like the modern stores like Atlantic & Military or Jog Road. The aisles are crowded with too much of the wrong stuff, the staff attitude (particularly the manager) is as rotten as half of the produce. How does a supermarket in 2019 regularly run out of basic things like blueberries? Aside from the dismal condition of the store, the prices are outrageous and the hours are silly. I've regularly seen them kicking shoppers out as they close quite early. Unfortunately this is the only full-service supermarket in the immediate area, so I suppose I will have to just grin and bear it unless I feel like driving elsewhere. read more

I like the new policy of everyone saying hi to me although in the beginning it was a little off putting to say the least. I can't say that they have the best selection of anything but they are Publix. I am not a big fan of their competitor. What continues to bring me to this Publix is the convenience and knowing the layout of the place. They better get their renovations in order though because the place is looking kinda dumpy. I wish they would put laminate flooring down. It would look awesome. I know its not practical but hey, its my dream. They need to work on their produce section too. Green lemons? Seriously? Good store. They honor the public promise. Long lines at customer service due to western union and lottery but otherwise happy staff and good experience. I love sample days!! They always have someone cooking something yummy. I wish i knew their schedule so i stalk the store and grub some samples! Yesterday they had chicken enchiladas which my son loved. We've had the chicken fried rice, greenbeans drenched in butter and bacon, bbq pork, etc.. I can always smell the food cooking and it lures me to the back of the store by the deli where someone is always cooking something good. They have the recipe cards out for people to take so they can try to make it at home. As far as the store goes, this place is a decent Publix where you can find most items you're looking for. I used to walk in just to get the mustache out of the quarter machines but they got rid of that and now they have little Domo figurines. read more

Have shopped at over 50 different Publix stores and this one is better far the worst! Have been working in Delray for the past few months and have shopped here more than a dozen times. They just don't get how to treat customers like other stores do. Cashiers and Deli employees rude, and almost oblivious to who is in front of them. Deli meats for whatever reason last maybe two days regardless of when/what time we purchase. We now drive farther away to go to another Publix instead of this one. Overall, PUBLIX is an Excellent company!!!! Every store is clean, well stocked and has everything you need. BUT, the Delray Store has a bit to be desired in the People Department. The cashiers are not friendly, it's almost as if they just hate their jobs and want to get out of there. They never ask how you are doing or "Did you find everything that you need today?" as they do at OTHER PUBLIX'S..... I love Publix!!!! This is my closest grocery store, but for 15 years, I've traveled further away for better prices. Today I decided to grab a quick bite. I got half a cuban sandwich (pre-made) for around 5$. It was 95% bread. I think it had a slice of cheese and meat and maybe two individual slivers of pickle. I picked it out because it was the least squished. Once again, reminded why I never come here. Pathetic customer service in the deli department. Went around 11:30am today looking for rotisserie chicken. Saw the rotisserie with cooked chickens though there were none packaged for purchase. I was the only customer while there were 6 deli workers behind the counter; not one of them acknowledged me. I asked an employee if the rotisserie chickens were available; she walked to the rotisserie cooker and replied, "Yeah, but the guy who does them is busy. You'll have to come back." Come back? Came in today to grab a few groceries, I usually go to the Publix on East Atlantic which I've never had problems at. I only stopped here because I had just left LA Fitness. This Publix feels really crammed together. The aisles are hella small and the other shoppers are rude and oblivious to those around them. I had a lady come speeding out of an aisle as we were passing and nearly hit us. Needless to say I had some words for her... Tip: Pay a-damn-ttention! Our cashier, Amanda (or so it reads on my receipt) was incredibly rude. The woman that checked out before us was even put off by her immature and unprofessional display. She joked and (playfully, loudly) argued with another employee. You'd think she wasn't, ya know: WORKING The employee that our cashier was joking with refused to bag our groceries (are you kidding me???) so another employee came and did it. I was fully prepared to do it myself so I could get the hell out of there! He did a poor job bagging our groceries, stuffing meats and vegetables together- are you crazy!? I live in Ft Lauderdale so I've never been to this Publix. On my way up 95 I stopped in to get a cooler and ice for my 25 pack of water. I've never been offered help to load my car at my home store, and I was offered twice at this location all with smiles! First of all, the cashier was so nice and smiley that it was refreshing. Then the lady who bagged the groceries asked if I needed help loading my car, and surprised, I said "no that's okay thank you.." then as I was loading the coolers with ice and water, Jesse in the parking lot came up and said "I can help with you that" and started helping me out. He even took the plastic bags from the ice and put them in the trash for me. Too bad I live too far from this location to make it my home store, but the 5-10 minutes I shopped in there blew me away. read more

The store is nice and neat and clean. My negative is the deli where they make the sub sandwich. Those four folks in the deli just talk and joke with each other and when necessary wait on a customer. I wanted a turkey sub as advertised, but after waiting for a few minutes left without the sub.
