If you have the displeasure of ordering at the deli here, be prepared to walk out with a different sandwich than what you ordered because they ran out of 7 ingredients or so and just swapped them for the closest thing in arm's reach. That won't be on the label, though. The vegetables may or may not be half-rotten. And by may or may not, I mean will. Is it new management? Is it lack luster folks at the deli? These are questions that make me want to go someplace else. Case in point. Walk up to the Deli and in the area where they have hot prepared foods, I stand and wait. There are a number of folks behind the counter talking, joking around as if I don't exist. I wait. I wait some more and by now my patience is running very thin when suddenly someone finally realizes I have been standing there along with others waiting for someone to ask us what items we wanted. Gosh, I was in shock that for some reason a customer is looking to be waited on. The person behind me mention that ever since the "new" manager started, the place has gone down hill. Maybe it's because they are the "only close by" store in the area as Winn Dixie is slowly becoming an Aldis. This would be a sad precedence on their part as Aldis could be the primary shopping venue for most when in a pinch. Otherwise it's Walmart. read more

For the most I like this Publix but prices are getting insane. So many of the items have doubled in price. And when I go on a Wednesday night to get Bogo items... of course all the signs are taken down to prepare for the next day so I have no idea what's Bogo and what is not. I'm originally from up north, so we don't have the pleasure of Publix and I know Publix is great but this Publix is AMAZING. Every single person I encountered was happy and smiling and chatty and I swear my food shopping experience has never actually put me in a good mood - I came out of this location happier than when I went in. Who says that about food shopping?! I wish I had gotten everyone's names to write specific recognition to the managers but I was just overly impressed. The people make this place. The quality of the food was great as well, everything I needed was in stock and just where I thought it would be in the store. Easy location to get to and lots of parking. About six weeks ago we discovered this Publix is closer to us than any other Publix. We were elated! Likewise, if I would have rated this store a month to six weeks ago I would have given it 5 stars. I simply love the way the store is set up...and one day I may even be there when they do the wine tasting. The store is very clean and there always seems to be someone around you stocking the shelves or straightening them up. The parking lot is ample and the store seems easy to get in and out of. The restrooms are in a bit of an odd area at the front of the store but it's not a big deal. The store is a good size and they seem to carry all your needs. The personnel in the meat & seafood areas are always super nice and quick. I do really like this store, but I must say that my past few visits here have been less than stellar. I felt like I was putting the checker out about 3 weeks ago, then last week I was checked out by a rude person and today...well, it was just different. I had to interrupt the conversation between the cashier and the bagger (both men) by finally raising my voice. Without going into great detail that you don't care to read about...it was just an indifferent situation that left a 1-star rating on my fingertips. After the other ordeals as well...what the heck? I am giving them a 4-star because I have had wonderful experiences in there. I had 3 not-so-good experiences and hopefully they aren't the norm. However, this location certainly doesn't deserve a 5 at this time. It would be an injustice to the other Publix stores that do deserve a 5 star rating. read more

This is one of the better Publix Super Markets in a fast growing area situated on the Jacksonville & St. Johns border. They usually offer MORE than other Publix stores such as the wine sampling area and other special events for the local communities. The management and entire staff is top notch at this location; really professional and friendly. Sometimes you will find products here before they launch them in other Jacksonville locations. My sister lives in the area and she always seems to have products in her store that I don't have in mine here on the west side.. This Publix is always busy since it serves everyone who lives on CR 210 plus their not so distant neighbors---definitely a lot of inventory turnover. It's great to know that you're pretty much getting fresh produce, meats, baked goods and new products all of the time. Yes, I'll admit. It's a great store. 5 STARS read more

This is mostly due to the deli at the Publix on 210. First of all, they never make the subs right. It's either missing something or it's drowning in condiments. Some of the technicians have mad the chicken tender sub by just laying whole tenders on the sub roll. Just how are you suppose to eat that when once you take a bite, the whole tender slips out, especially while you have to go back to work. If you ask them to do it different, they act all put out like you've backed over their dog or something. There are a couple of employees that know how to make them but I never seem to get them. I see people all the time just laying their subs down and not bothering with them because they know they're wrong but don't want to deal with the deli workers. Then the other food is awful too. It's chicken, and more chicken. The chicken is too spicy and the kids won't eat it, yet the only other things you have are disgusting. It looks like BBQ but it's swimming in liquid and it's an odd color. If there are more meats, then I don't know what they are. The potato wedges are cold and dried out, and God help you if you ask for fresh ones. Then there are always flat, tasteless green beans, some kind of dried peas, corn, and some type of greens. It's awful! Well the corn is good but I can open a can of corn at home. The soup never has salt or seasoning and it's always 2 mexican soups, tomato something, chicken noodle and some kind of cheese soup. They are awful. How about making a bean soup, a potato soup, a vegetable beef soup, and a true tomato soup. Season them all and leave the extra grease out. My final thing is the tea. I always just buy a gallon of your sweet tea and 8 out of 10 times it has a fermented taste to it. I don't know if you make it too far ahead or let it sit out too long before you refrigerate it or what but it's bad. A friend of mine that owned a restaurant said they had a problem with that and they made theirs by just putting the tea and sugar in the crocks and letting it sit before adding water. Maybe you could look into this. A nice sweet decaf tea would be nice too. Let me plan your menu for a week. It will be healthier, it will taste better and look better. Customers will love it. I know it's hard to find staff but please, just ask them to smile and not make your customers be afraid to ask. Thank You! read more

I enjoy the Publix Super Markets. They are consistently clean, organized, fully stocked and the employees are top notch. This location is no different. Set up similar to the location we frequent off of SR 13. We went shopping for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day dinner and we found everything we needed without a problem. We even stocked up on wrapping paper and Christmas cards. In the event that we wouldn't have found something, each employee is quick to offer a helping hand. Today I went in to my local 210 Publix, which I enjoy going to and usually have a great experience. Today I went in to customer service to ask for some cash and was greeted by a VERY unpleasant assistant customer service manager. I will not mention names, however she refused to give me smaller bills and rudely yelled "WE ARE NOT A BANK". I understand that, however I have gotten cash at customer service before and there was no reason for the rudeness or harsh response. My shopping was not a pleasure today and I hope she can figure out how to treat customers in a proper manner. read more

Best super market ever! Super friendly and helpful staff. One time I had to look for a certain cheese for a recipe and I look at the cheeses by the deli, couldn't find it, asked the lady behind the deli... She never heard of it. She got the whole deli looking for it. No luck. So I we gave up... I continued shopping by the produce and a young gentlemen found it and asked if this was what I was looking for. He made my day! It was all the way on the other side of the store! During check out they always ask me if I need help loading up the car with all grocery bags. There is always a smile on everyone! While I like Publix, I would wish that they would teach their people to not make the reusable bags so heavy. I have asked them to not do this and still it's difficult for me, a senior citizen, to lift them. On Sunday I suggested that the young man bagging my groceries use more of the bags I provided. This is a fantastic Publix but I am giving only 4 stars because I find myself going to their competition for other items needed that are more reasonable. The manager here is awesome and is always courteous and steps in to help anywhere needed. I just hope they learn to compete with their new competition on items such as butter, milk and bread. read more

This is the ONLY Publix that I have ever had repeated horrible experiences at, particularly regarding the deli department. Do not ever place an online order for subs, because they will not begin to make them until you are there...and they have already waited on everyone in line before you....even though I was there 5-10 minutes after the order was supposed to be ready....Then they will miserably pull your online order slips, and STILL make them wrong, which obviously doesn't get noticed until getting home and feeding a hungry family. I wouldn't typically mind a mistake but this has happened at this particular location at least THREE times since I have lived over this end of town. And online ordering for lunch meat? Forget it...they don't put out the whole order, and then don't acknowledge that they forgot anything even though my online order confirmation showed the correct items ordered that weren't put out with the rest of my items. Then they get miserable and take their time getting the rest of the order together. Again, a mistake can be forgiven and everyone has bad days, but again...this is a repeated issue. I am no longer going to this particular Publix, as I would rather drive to the one on RT13 that I've become accustomed to and very much prefer their friendly and competent employees. read more

We've had our fair share of buying goods from this store and finding out the stuff we bought was expired goods. Our fault for not checking dates before hand but this store does a pretty rotten job of rotating out their food stuff so make sure to check those expiration dates. Same with the produce as there seems to be a lot of poor conditions with some of it. Management needs to do a better job. read more

This is probably my favorite grocery store and I'm so happy is close to home. . The freshest fruits, vegetables and seafood! The staff is extremely helpful. They have a great wine selection and I love the instant wine chilling machine they have. read more

It doesn't get any better than grocery shopping at Publix. Unless it's grocery shopping at a brand new Publix. This store is the bomb, baby. I was out visiting some relatives and had to swing in to pick up something on the way home, and noticed this Publix in a nice plaza featuring lots of other little shops and restaurants. Plenty of parking in a well-lit, comfortable lot, and as with most Publix stores, a Presto ATM with buttons that make noise that you could hear from space near the entrance. The layout is similar to my usual Publix, so I was glad to be able to quickly figure out where I needed to go, but this store is HUGE. They really took care in the layout of this store- the aisles are very roomy, with plenty of room for displays and sale items in the front of the store, without being overly bulky and in the way. The produce and deli section is very impressive, and while I was walking around, all the shelves and produce were fully stocked, and very neatly organized. Everybody knows about Publix's great customer service, and this store was no exception- friendly employees all around. I was also super psyched to see a lack of senior citizens cluttering up the aisles- something that drives me INSANE at every grocery store I visit in Florida. Can't think of a single negative thought about this store- I love shopping at Publix, and would definitely go out of my way to do my grocery shopping at any of their stores, and I recommend you do the same- if you live in the area, definitely make this your go-to store! read more

I really have no clue what the big deal is with Publix. The selection is ok and the employees are friendly but the constant praising from locals is incredibly overblown. For instance, people here seem to rave about the deli and the subs. I had a roast beef sandwich that was fairly bland with borderline stale bread. Moreover, the prices here are insane. $3.70 for a gallon of milk? Really? I'll admit I'm biased having relocated from the northeast and had the privilege living near a Wegmans. Even in a higher cost of living area like DC, milk was only $2.40/gallon. Looking forward to Wegmans opening up here and blowing Publix out of the water. read more

This is my first review as I NEVER complain working in the same industry. That said, do not order from the deli unless you want to have your order wrong. And whatever you, don't try to get it fixed. Rude staff, apathetic cashiers, no customer service whatsoever. I LOVE Publix but will never be back to this one. I have complained numerous times only to be told "the manager will give you a call" and then nothing. Winn Dixie is right up the street and may not be as high quality but the service is Far better. read more

I would love to know who hired the deli manager because he/she needs to be fired. It makes no sense to me how my order of 6 items each came out at different times over the course of 1 hour! So one of my hot ordered subs were cold by the Time my deli meats and cheeses came out, but wait! There's worse, the final sub came out a solid hour after the first deli meats and cheese came out, so now I have a cold hot sub, room temperature deli meats and cheese and one one hot sub that is made correct. The insult to injury is the fact we stood there patiently waiting for our order while some counter workers kept allowing for others waiting to push their "just made over their phone due at 2" orders to be moved ahead of ours that was well past due. Never once did anyone ask if anyone else was waiting on an order that SHOULD have come out before that one. Way to fail entirely on the customer service front. Now I've spent $65 on sandwiches (won't be eating one since it's a cold sub that was intended to be pressed and hot) and deli meats/cheeses that I hope won't have to go in the trash because their spoiled. read more

Last week I purchased red skinned potatoes in a bag. Three days later, they were a pile of rancid mess on my counter. Yesterday I purchased two packages of bear claws for breakfast from the bakery. They are very noticeably stale. While there yesterday a manager kept coming up behind me while I was in line cashing out a register and barking "Excuse me, behind you" this was at 6pm, she had blond hair. It was not a polite please excuse me but a bark to get out of the way. Done with Publix. Sr. management of publix needs to provide some re-training of managers..we lead from the top with our actions..she needs education to understand what customer service really is read more
