They typically charge about a dollar per item more than Walmart. But yesterday, I only picked up 3 items, and the price I paid was nearly $5 more than Walmart prices. The same three items at Walmart would have been $12.59 vs. $17.27 at Publix. Geez!!!! The only way to get a reasonable price on anything at Publix is with their BOGOs, but even that is not enough to make up for their price gouging on regularly priced products. Publix is only for the very rich people. Hurry up, Walmart!

Too often the fruits and vegetables I buy go off soon after I've bought them. More troubling is how often they've already gone off by the time I get them. So far instacart, who does my shopping, has been decent about refunding those items, as long as I take photos to prove I'm not making this up. But I'm beginning to resent how often I need to call them on this.

That, plus the fact that it's a fairly new location with great parking made this my family's go-to during a beach vacation in Vilano Beach. Beyond what they have in stock, their customer service was great as we were searching for things off a list to stock our vacation rental. Everyone was smiling, friendly, and offering to go above and beyond and lead us to the item versus just saying "Aisle 6." I called ahead of my visit this time, because I was on a mission to find Thai chili peppers. Score!!! I was getting desperate after going to a local "natural market", then Winn Dixie, and was I was almost going to go to a Thai restaurant to ask if I could buy some peppers off them. I called to PJ's and asked the owner and I lit up like a kid at Christmas time when she said "yes, I have them"! I immediately said that I was on my way! There's lots of parking spaces and it's easy to get in to the plaza from the road. Not only was it easy to find my prize, but it was so fun to look at all the delicious ingredients, treats, dishes, teas, and medicines. The refrigerators and freezers are full of Asian delectables and I was sooooo hungry and wanted everything! I had to limit myself for now because I was waiting for my next paycheck, but I still bought more than I should have!!!! Why ? Because I don't get to see these products at other local stores. I know that I always get my necessities/ essentials/ pantry must haves... but it is so hard not to get candies, teas, snacks, dishes, and cravings!!! I should not shop when I'm hungry... or did all these awesome products just make me hungry!!! I was feeling greedy for sure!!!
