Got to the deli, 2 people ahead of us, 1 person behind the counter, slowly taking his time, the person next got waited on and the first person who was there being in a carriage driven cart was brought his deli order to him. The worker then decided this was a good time to take time to small talk with the guy in the carriage cart while my self and now 2 more people are waiting. After 8 minutes we left to finish our shopping , so no deli meat for us. read more

Has anyone noticed that Publix supermarkets are starting to suck. One thing is their customer service isn't like it use to be. Now I was informed yesterday that they are doing away with the meat display case. The butcher told me they are all going away so they can serve you better. I said okay and I would like some pork loin cut thick like they use to display. He said come back in 15 minutes. How is that gonna help me better? George is turning in his grave. read more

My review concerns the behavior of Pharmacist, Geoffrey or Jeffrey? Very condescending, indeed. Since Publix is facing legal battles concerning "opioids", federally I believe, they are very unforgiving to patients and customers who suffer from chronic pain. My doctor wrote a new prescription for an opioid following my back surgery 10 days prior. Since I had 1 weeks (7) pills of the former drug left, Jeffrey decided that I should bring him those 7 pills and trade them out for the new amount of prescription! I could not drive, I told Jeffrey. The new prescription was for a slightly stronger opioid. I understand his concern that I might not have sense enough to control my dosage but assured him that my doctor was confident in me to write a new script. Jeffrey said "Well, I don't like that!" "You have a nice day, goodbye". He was totally convinced that people who have to take opioids are responsible for Publix's pending lawsuit responsibility. I have heard other Publix customers reports about this pharmacist but I believed that he was only protective of Publix's reputation. Now, I know that those customers' reports were probably right. I think Jeffrey prefers that some of his pharmacy customers remove their business to another pharmacy in the area. I will not be managed like this and am very sorry for other customers who have experienced his outrageous behavior and embarrassment. If you have to go out of town for any reason and need your meds filled one or two days ahead......be prepared for "Jeffrey", the Publix nemisis! I am so sorry for this.....but my broken back and left side fractures from an automobile accident need treatment and my doctor has total confidence in me and my medications. read more

This is a very nice publix. From what I understand, it's only been open for about a year, but they pulled out all of the stops. The wine section is extensive, the deli not only has the sub and chicken area, but also a selection of soups and cornbread. I was very impressed by the sheer variety they have. The staff is extremely friendly and efficient, always willing to assist. I went to customer service to see if I could get a rain check for an item I didn't see on the shelf. He was willing to check the system and the back to make sure they were out of stock. Once he verified, he was more than happy to write me a rain check so I could come back. I'm extremely satisfied with this location! read more

We locals are so spoiled when it comes to Publix. Do some traveling away from the South and you'll come to realize how good you have it when it comes to the entire grocery store experience with Publix. It's still common to walk into the grocery store, walk down the aisle and be asked by an employee or a manager how your day is going and if they can help you find anything. Unheard of in this day & age. This store is immaculately clean, brightly lit, staffed with friendly people who do not mind going above and beyond to help the customer - pretty much the "Publix standard." It is not uncommon to be asked when you check out if you found everything okay, and if you did not, to have the cashier offer to order the product for you. It is not uncommon to have the bagger unload your grocery cart for you while you have a friendly chat with the cashier. Never have I approached a Publix employee to ask if they have something that I cannot find that I was not helped in a courteous manner, and often walked directly to the product about which I was asking. Rude Pharmacist Rx went up $40 in one month and he was rude and condescending explaining it.

The service really is amazing but this time it was the best. I went shopping with my 3 month old by myself and it was a bit difficult. The publix employees helped me get a cart that my baby's car seat could clip on to. They helped me get everything out of the cart and then helped me take my groceries to my car. I tried giving them a tip for the amazing service but they wouldn't take it. Just happy to help. It really was a pleasure. read more

I love publix. The customer service is what makes it worth coming back to pay for everything. Also, the fact that they have lots of non-GMO and organic options is awesome too. Its usually very clean, stocked and even when it is busy you can get in and get out quickly. The deli is a hot spot so if u want a sandwich order online during peak hours. read more

Went there with a woman who had her arm in a cast. The bag boy told her he'd take our things out to car. He was polite and friendly the whole time. Seemed like he enjoyed helping. We bought several items with Publix brand. So far all that I tasted were good. Check out was slow as our cashier chatted at length to the customer 2 in front of us. She continued to talk even after they paid and were ready to leave. I think she just didn't want to work at normal cashier pace. Brand new store and the North side of Lakeland finally has SUSHI!!!!!!

Store always seems spotless and nicely stocked with great looking produce and awesome wings in the Deli. On this occasion we were looking for small Hagan Daas ice cream in either coffee or strawberry and both were out and have been many times we have been there. We asked an associate stock guy if he could check availability when he was done. He gladly stopped his cart and checked and said that in fact there were none in the store. Sorry I didn't get his name as he was great. Perscriptions always seems to be a little slow, but the shining moment was upon checkout when the cashier "Samantha" greeted us with a big smile and produced a coupon we could use on something we bought. Being retired and on a budget we coukld have went to the W store but we LOVE PUBLIX and their GREAT customer service. Please praise "Samantha" for her great customer service. She is one of the reasons we continue to shop there! read more

I'm so frustrated. My pediatrician sent my child prescription to this location. I decided to run some errands and then do some grocery shopping while I was there. An hour later I went to pick up the prescription and I was told it wasn't quite ready, 15 minutes more pls. I came back, gave them my insurance card and then I was told that it will take another 30 minutes to verify insurance. My kid is really sick. I have to pick up my other child from school. What I don't get is why she didn't take my insurance card when I got there first, verified it so I don't have to wait this long. The girl is not even friendly, doesn't smile. I only got frustrated with them once and this is the second time. Same girl at check out. read more

Can't say enough good things about Publix. Although I missed this location while they remodeled love the new layout. Always clean and very friendly staff. Only problem ever encountered is stock levels on shelves on a Weds when sale ends. Often hard to find those sale items. Produce section always fresh. So happy to have a nice clean liquor store conveniently located next door. read more

I love this store. Publix is great but this store is the best in my opinion. I have mobility problems and have to use the power scooter the store provides. Thank you Publix for providing these scooters! The store is always fully stocked and immaculately clean. The employees seem to be happy to work there. I have become a "regular" at the store, recognizing the cashiers and baggers, and they recognize me. Chit chat, like how's your dog? Or me asking if they passed a certain test in their high school or college course. It's nice, if makes me feel connected to the world. Employees are always available to help, often asking if I need help or how is my day going? They are eager to reach for items or locate items for me. This store is a joy to shop at. The check out lines are never long. They will open up a new line even if it means a manager is working as cashier to get thru the rush. It's never long to check out. Most often employees will help unload the items from the basket on the scooter. Of course, they carry out the groceries and put them into my vehicle --all for free, no tipping allowed, and pleasant friendly chit chat. I highly recommend this store. read more

My wife just spent 20 minutes sitting in her car waiting to be helped at the pharmacy drive thru. For the first 8, no one walked up to the window or said anything at all. Then, after pressing the call button, she heard a "be right with you" in a snotty female voice. Another 8 minutes went by and a man walked past and looked directly at her. He asked if she had been helped yet, and she said no. He told her they would be right with her. 4 more minutes elapsed until the original woman who told her someone would be right with her, came up and just asked for my wife's last name. Then, she disappeared because she couldn't find my son's prescription. When they found it, my wife asked if they could make sure the dispenser was included. The woman gave my wife a look like she was just asked to give up her first born. Finally, my wife was able to get the prescription, but the woman never asked for a birthdate, address, or phone number. Anyone could have picked it up. In all honesty, every time I am at this pharmacy, there are typically four or five people working behind the counter, yet it always seems like nothing ever gets done and customers are always waiting. When I call to refill a prescription, it's always a two day wait. It shouldn't take two days to get a refill of any prescription. Not at that size of a pharmacy. I love that Publix, but the pharmacy is an absolute joke. read more
