This is the closest thing to a Whole Food or Trader Joe. Those places are in Tampa or Orlando. If you are looking for gluten-free options, organic and or Vegan. Then this is place to be. I went looking for some supplements that were expensive on Amazon but so much cheaper at this store. They have a self check out & that were the issues is. Twice my light turn red & the transaction would not go through. I stood there trying to find an employee. No employee were around finally a manager walk by I had to hail him for attention so he can let me pay for my items. The place is so clean, smell wonderful, just felt overall enlightened. I've always been a fan of Greenwise since they first opened the one in Boca Raton. I have also visited the one in Tampa on many occasions. I was looking for a place to eat in Lakeland and saw the Greenwise sign and turned right in. No idea what kind of goodness I was in for and I was not disappointed. This one is smaller than the others I have visited, but chock full of organic and gourmet goodies. I picked up a few items I needed then headed to the hot food section where i ordered an Asian Burrito. Beef barbacoa with Korean sauce, sweet potato rice, stir fry veggies w/Harissa Sauce, pickled red onion and cilantro. Whoa. Insanely delicious! So many flavors to enjoy. I def recommend. I must also mention the customer service at Greenwise stores is always bar none. Will definitely return soon. read more

Enjoyable for a quick bite to eat. Service is always helpful. It's clean and comfortable. Don't like the bioengineered or GMO food in the grocery. The expectations are higher for Publix. Publix needs to push back on these companies shoving products that are illegal in Europe. read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! After hearing about this store on the Publix Podcast, yeah I know I am a nerd, we made the drive to Lakeland to check it out. The podcast set the expectations very high and mentioned somethings I had to check out, like the wing bar. The wing bar is offered on the weekends and features a nice variety of wings, that are smoked right in the store. The store also has a large salad bar with all the fixings you would ever want, a soup bar, a pizza counter, a sushi counter, and a build your own bowl counter. The deli has sandwiches available and other hot items. Once you have grabbed your food you can head right over to Pours. Pours has beer on tap, cold brew and hot coffee, smoothies, wine, kombucha, and acai bowls. You can pay for your food at pours, which is super convenient. There is a nice seating area in the pours area, as well as a small bar. I was there for the wings, so that is where I headed. Currently, Publix Associates are grabbing the items of the hot bars for customers. Wanda was the lady who helped me and she was awesome. She gave me a rundown on the whole store and all the offerings it had. Not only did Wanda help me with my wings but she offered to help me with anything else I might need and thanked me for coming to check out the store. My wife created a bowl and we met back up at the Pours bar. We both grabbed a beer and at our lunches. I loved my wings, I ended up grabbing a variety. I can't tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so good. I also can't tell you what my wife had in her bowl, but I can tell you it was really good. Courtney was working the pours counter and she was super helpful and friendly. She offered samples on beers, and even let us try kombucha. We really appreciate her and her hospitality. After we ate lunch we walked around to check the place out. The meat and seafood counters are both something to see. The meat counter has beautiful cuts of meat as well as sausage and bacon they make in-store. The seafood counter has some very good looking fish. The seafood counter will also prepare your seafood for you, which is awesome. I can not say enough about this wonderful store and the awesome staff, you really should check it out. read more

I am thrilled to have a grocery store like this in Lakeland. Everything has been excellent, good attention to detail like you'd get in a WF. I've noticed lately that some of the things made in the store are sloppy, for lack of a better word. Half filled salad bowls (and they aren't cheap), out of containers for hot bar, just not things you'd expect here. I'm especially ticked off about the salads and inconsistencies with food at the hot bar. Sad to pay a hefty price and be let down. Step it up please. read more

Not what I was looking for exactly... On google they come up as a "health foods store" and "organic grocer," however, that's not entirely the case. I LOVE Sprouts out in Brandon. So, I was expecting this store to be like that... Everything organic, local, and reasonably priced. Well, nope. My first thought about the store was that everything was really hard to find. I was running back and forth around the store trying to figure out where things were, and never even found the bread aisle (if it even existed.) Second thought being, "wow, this is a bit pricy..." Third thought (three strikes, you're out!) There should NOT be Pepsi products sold in a store that claims to be "organic" or "health foods." I will say, I DID find some new vegan deli meat that I haven't found elsewhere, and the almond milk was reasonably priced. Everything else, over priced, not at least mostly organic, and aimed for people looking to stop in for a quick lunch or to grab just a few things before heading home. They're trying here, but coming from a fully plant based family, I will not shop here again unless I decide to go back for their plant based deli slices. I only glanced at their deli, but did not see any bowls other than the tofu that was plant based. None of the sushi was. This is basically a glorified mini Publix. Shop here if you're a health nut and enjoy spending more for your groceries, OR want a quick lunch. Don't shop here if you and your family are fully vegan/plant based. You will NOT be impressed. If the store specialized in health foods and 100% organic items, & dropped their prices a little bit to match competitors, they'd be onto something here. read more

Greenwise Market promises to be a fun place to shop, more comparative to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods with more twists. Lots of ready-to-eat options (most open at 10 a.m. we were disappointed to find no pizza, bowl or salad bars earlier). Meats are antibiotic-free. Products are marked nonGMO, gluten-free, etc. Good selection, several BOGOs, many self-check-outs, patio seating outdoors. Opens at 7 am. Many prices are good, some are high. My only gripe is they allow you to drink beer and shop, am not a fan. read more

Clean and friendly, helpful and jam packed with all you can imagine. We heard there was a bacon bar - it was more of a larger bacon selection with at least a half dozen choices of 'flavored bacon'. I guess cooking it in-store would have caused a stampede in the parking lot, so I understand that. I was disappointed that there was no vegan pizza. There was vegetarian, so yay! I am a fan of Heritage Flakes cereal, which I cannot find anywhere but Trader Joe's, which is all the way in Tampa. Greenwise has at least six to ten varieties of it, which was AWESOME. The price, meh, $5.49 compared to $1.99 at TJs. *sigh* (Why can't I have everything?!) Other than that, really, who doesn't love a good friendly Publix?! read more

One BIG suggestion for improvement....the young people who work in the wine/beer/acia bowl bar should not be sitting, slouching at the bar off shift or on break taking up seats customers might want to sit at.... this is the 2nd time I have seen this....as a former bar manager... this is always a turn off and a no-go. read more

Dined March 31, 2021. I used their hot meal service for spicy chicken ramen, and ate out at the bar area inside. I noticed that a lot of people do this so I thought I'd give it a try and found it to be quite pleasant. A friend had mentioned that he thought it quite good compared to what he had experienced on Okinawa and in Japan during his time in the Air Force. The ramen service is interesting to watch. The maker placed a measure of noodles in a basket and lowered them into hot water, or possibly broth, to cook or heat. I couldn't tell at a glance if the noodles were pre-cooked or still dry. As that went along, he started putting my bowl together with corn and other vegetables, some bite-sized cooked chicken, and a half a boiled egg. So, that all went in a bowl with the now-hot noodles, along with a tablespoon sized container of chili crisp. The soup broth looked to be a white miso and went into a separate container. The maker fluffed out a papery web, stacked bowl & broth container and wrapped up nice as a present. Pretty impressive. I wondered if I would find it warm enough with the veggies & chicken just coming out of the cold refrigerator, but, as I sat down, chopsticks in hand, the temperature was actually perfect for diving right in, nothing cold on the bite at all. I added in all of the chili-crisp adding a nice level of spice over the salty miso broth and food. I checked out at the self-serve and crossed over to the bar area. You can get anything from coffee or regular tea, to kombucha, smoothies, even beer or wine. On break from work, I opted for cucumber sage kombucha. A little unusual flavor, pricey, but quite good. It took a bit to get it because it turned out the CO2 dispenser hadn't been hooked up for the kombucha, but eventually they got it over to me. Overall, I'd have to say a nice experience, better than I imagined. I probably would have been better off to buy a single-serve bottle of kombucha in the grocery rather than the draft. The draft was good, but expensive. read more

I was so very excited about this store opening. We live in a town with no Whole Foods, no Trader Joe's, and no Wegmans; so having a Greenwise open is a pretty big deal. And the store does have that "premium" feel. Produce is in better shape than it is across the street and the design of the store is modern. It also has a cafe that serves coffee, smoothies, and a bare-bones açaí bowl. (If you want a pastry you will need to choose from the uninspiring self serve selection just past the salad bar. The only exception to this is on Saturdays, when you can find a few selections from Born and Bread, which alone justifies the existence of this store). But that is pretty much it's only redeeming quality, for me. The store is extremely small, maybe half the size of Lake Miriam. You are highly unlikely to get all of your grocery shopping done here. And what of those highly-anticipated prepared food sections? You will find a wing bar (sometimes replaced by meatballs), a Chipotle-style taco station, a basic salad bar, a sushi station, a deli with prepared sandwiches and salads, a soup bar, and a pizza station. None of these offerings are anything to write home about, and you will find much better alternatives out in town. Want wings? Go to the 500 Lakeland establishments that specialize in them. Same goes for tacos, salads, and soups. Not only is there nothing novel here, the items offered are subpar to what we already have. Why not take a cue from Whole Foods or Wegmans and offer prepared foods we don't already have a million options for and easy access to? Why not have an in house bakery that makes real, fresh sourdough and hand rolled bagels? Or have a station where we can have a steak dinner made-to-order? This is what the other premium grocery stores are doing. Instead, here, we get most of the groceries that are offered at Lake Miriam with prepared foods that mirror what we have in town. I will say that the service is excellent, which is what you can expect from Publix. And I do appreciate the weekly coupons and the ability to snag a few more gluten-free options in the baking aisle. But in short, I mostly find this store to be redundant and disappointing. read more

I think maybe I am just too old for this market. Three of us went and made the mistake of going around noon. The store was jam packed with folks there to buy lunch. The prepared foods are in the front right of the store, and with the registers all lined up on the left customers are herded in that direction. The music was so loud I had problems as it was a distraction to the shopping. We had hoped to get lunch ourselves and did, but the staff could not keep up with demand. The fancy dispensers for utensils were jammed and we couldn't get forks or spoons. Guess you need to eat soup with a knife. Hot bar stations were empty of vegetables. The salad had no romaine, soups spilled on surfaces, some pizzas missing. NOTHING had ingredients listed so there was no way for us to avoid allegens. My husband wanted a roast beef sandwich and ended up forgoing because he hates goat cheese and the roast beef pre-mades were loaded with it. He ended up with an adequate premade salad. My daughter got the meatballs and stated they were dry. I got the blackbean soup and it was yummy. Definitely gave me allergy issues though. Pizza is very light on sauce and toppings. As for the shopping I am a Whole Foods fan and daughter frequents Trader Joes. In NC we are Ingles advocates. In Florida we shop Publix. We did find some things we were happy to see: Born and Bread croissants, cornfree powdered sugar, Charelston Organic coffee...but for gosh sakes it was nearly $4 a 12 oz bag higher than the price we routinely pay at Ingles. We also found a wide selection of corn free jellies. Publix should be able to do better. Floating staff during the high demand meal rush to wipe, fill stations and attend to utensil dispeners and napkin holders is where they should start. Please turn the music down a notch. Put up ingredient plaques. We won't go back for a long time...and especially not to grab lunch. read more

Induced by a $5.00 off coupon I went to Greenwise. First stop, Produce Department looking for a bag of oranges the first bag selected contained a very rotten orange. Okay, first bag of apples contained a very rotten apple. I reported this to an employee who told me she would "report it to the manager." Best I could tell she was not about to seek out the offending fruit. Next item on my list raw spinach. NO raw spinach. Went to their bread department looking for Pepperidge Farm, no luck there either. On to their cereal aisle where they had neither of the brands I was looking for, Shredded Wheat and Grapenuts, even though they have other brand name cereal. Looking for apple sauce. They actually have an aisle indicating baby items, APPLE SAUCE, and laundry items. The only apple sauce was in pouches for babies. BTW whose brilliant idea was it to put baby food in the same aisle as caustic cleaning agents? Finally checking out I was waiting for the usual Publix cashier question, "Did you find everything you were looking for?" She didńt ask, but the answer was NO! So excited to finally have access to some whole foods in Lakeland! But buyer beware! Although it was a madhouse on opening day and I did not get to spend much time in the store, I did get to take a look at the sushi bar. Read the ingredients! The same extensive list of ingredients such as dyes and other chemicals. I also noted that the bulk items are not necessarily better priced than the packaged products of the same description. So while I will definitely take advantage of this new resource I will do so with caution. read more

WOW. today I went to Greenwise for some açaí bowls and the employees were above and beyond. The lady who made our bowls forget to ask if we wanted honey so she came and asked after we sat down, then when she brought us our bowls she went out of her way to get us spoons which they keep around the corner and not in their direct seating area, and THEN I goofed and left my purse hanging on the chair I was sitting at and another lady RAN fo bring me my purse in the parking lot!!! they were so so nice, above and beyond, and very considerate and attentive!! read more
