Custom birthday cake by amazing Publix bakery staff.
    Karen G.

Tracy and Amber in the bakery department saved the day for me. We had out of town guests coming in on short notice and one of them was turning 50! And her favorite cake is "lemon cake" which is hard to find. Amber and Tracy put their creativity into motion, put the last 2 greenwise Mayer lemon cakes together, added some fresh icing on top with some fresh lemon slices and came up with a most beautiful & elegant cake. I couldn't be more impressed! This cake is lovely! Thank you ladies! And to Publix for allowing their employees to think outside the box! Publix!!! Truly ... Where shopping is a pleasure.

If you asked me to describe a Publix Greenwise in one word, it'd be: BOUJEE. Some say Target or Trader Joe's are boujee grocery stores (and don't get me wrong, compared to a Walmart they certainly are), but stepping into a Greenwise is a completely different level. There are organic everything- fruits, veggies, fresh pastries and breads and deli options. If you want random and super specific snack or cooking ingredients like chickpea noodles or flavored flaxmilk (still have no idea what that is) you can probably find a handful of variations here. They supply bakery and granola items from the local Born & Bread, which I respect so much. Oh, and don't forget about the make your own granola section in Aisle 1. Can you smell the high class? Also, this is basically a full fledged restaurant/ bar along with grocery and pharmacy store. They have a sushi and Asian station, chipotle bowls, subs and salad/ soup bar. There's also a literal bar with like 30 ciders and beers on tap. You can get açaí bowls and other things too. It's an elite status place to go. What I probably love most is the extremely pleasant outdoor sitting area. There's a fire pit, yard games, and tvs to catch up on sports or news. Publix Greenwise exhibits "bad and boujee" for sure!

Today was their grand opening so you can just imagine what an absolute circus it was. I normally wouldn't do a review but I was so impressed by how professional the employees were and how calm and knowledgeable they all were. If they could handle chaos with grace, I'm sure they can handle normal shopping just as nicely. This isn't your normal Publix grocery store, this is their specialty niche store, focusing on their Greenwise products -"healthy" and "organic" takes center stage. That's not saying you cannot find other items here. Unlike other similar stores (like Whole Foods and Fresh Market), this Greenwise Market is very heavy on prepared foods. They have a Burrito and Bowl Bar, Asian Bowl Bar, Pizza Bar, salad bar, and a hot food bar. They have a smallish deli with meats/cheeses to slice and already prepared sandwiches that they will doctor to order. They make and package fresh popcorn (regular, butter, caramel & cheese) at the deli area. Nice organic produce and raw meat section. Huge cheese area. Plenty of wines. (There is an actual Publix Liquor Store located outside, next door.) There is a frozen food section that had fresh, flash frozen foods that looked intriguing. In the checkout area there is a small self-checkout, a 10 item or less, and a regular large item amount area. Sounds normal until you see how it's laid out. Extremely efficient. I tried to take a picture but there were just too many people. In the very front of the store, there is a small coffee and bar (beer/wine) area where you can sit and take a break with a drink or even eat a meal that you've purchased from inside. TL;DR? This is an upscale Publix that offers a different kind of grocery experience that is sorely needed in Lakeland.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! After hearing about this store on the Publix Podcast, yeah I know I am a nerd, we made the drive to Lakeland to check it out. The podcast set the expectations very high and mentioned somethings I had to check out, like the wing bar. The wing bar is offered on the weekends and features a nice variety of wings, that are smoked right in the store. The store also has a large salad bar with all the fixings you would ever want, a soup bar, a pizza counter, a sushi counter, and a build your own bowl counter. The deli has sandwiches available and other hot items. Once you have grabbed your food you can head right over to Pours. Pours has beer on tap, cold brew and hot coffee, smoothies, wine, kombucha, and acai bowls. You can pay for your food at pours, which is super convenient. There is a nice seating area in the pours area, as well as a small bar. I was there for the wings, so that is where I headed. Currently, Publix Associates are grabbing the items of the hot bars for customers. Wanda was the lady who helped me and she was awesome. She gave me a rundown on the whole store and all the offerings it had. Not only did Wanda help me with my wings but she offered to help me with anything else I might need and thanked me for coming to check out the store. My wife created a bowl and we met back up at the Pours bar. We both grabbed a beer and at our lunches. I loved my wings, I ended up grabbing a variety. I can't tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so good. I also can't tell you what my wife had in her bowl, but I can tell you it was really good. Courtney was working the pours counter and she was super helpful and friendly. She offered samples on beers, and even let us try kombucha. We really appreciate her and her hospitality. After we ate lunch we walked around to check the place out. The meat and seafood counters are both something to see. The meat counter has beautiful cuts of meat as well as sausage and bacon they make in-store. The seafood counter has some very good looking fish. The seafood counter will also prepare your seafood for you, which is awesome. I can not say enough about this wonderful store and the awesome staff, you really should check it out.

An amazing experience with Rachel, a work of art with my Acai bowl. Only in town for few a weeks, but this will become the spot!!

Greenwise Market promises to be a fun place to shop, more comparative to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods with more twists. Lots of ready-to-eat options (most open at 10 a.m. we were disappointed to find no pizza, bowl or salad bars earlier). Meats are antibiotic-free. Products are marked nonGMO, gluten-free, etc. Good selection, several BOGOs, many self-check-outs, patio seating outdoors. Opens at 7 am. Many prices are good, some are high. My only gripe is they allow you to drink beer and shop, am not a fan.

I've been shopping at the GNC in South Lakeland for years and have spent a lot of money there over…read moretime. Usually there's a gentleman there during the mornings who is very helpful and professional. Tonight around 6:30 PM, I stopped in with my son to look at Burn 2.0. During conversation I mentioned that you can sometimes find it cheaper online, and the young lady working simply replied "OK" and just stared at me in silence. The interaction felt cold, uncomfortable, and honestly a little rude, like it was a "take it or leave it" attitude instead of trying to help or explain anything. Customer service matters, especially for loyal customers. I'm not trying to attack anyone personally, but I do think more customer service training could help. A friendly explanation or conversation goes a long way in making customers feel welcome and appreciated.

As a former athlete and someone who leads a very active lifestyle, supplements have always been…read moresuch a vital part of my life. Muscles need to be able to repair themselves and your body needs to recover- so GNC is a store that's been on my radar. Until my most recent visit, though, I didn't have as much appreciation for it as I do now. It can be tough to find good protein, preworkout or other supplements, and especially for a somewhat reasonable price. It should be widely known supplements are NOT cheap. And that's the small problem I had with GNC, they have such a broad variety of products which is awesome, but they're known to have typically higher prices than elsewhere. But I found out something awesome last time I went- they price match! Zack, one of the employees at this location was super helpful for us, and he said that if you can provide proof that there is a lower price presented by a different place/ business, they will match that price! That was seriously a game changer of coming to GNC or going somewhere else. So my best advice if you're like me and have always needed/ used supplements to help your lifestyle, or you're embarking on a new journey to become more active and want to make that change by getting some products to help- don't be afraid to ask the people working for advice (they can be really helpful, especially Zack at this location!), and do your research of what you might want, compare prices and sizes so that you can get the best deal possible!
