FRANK IS THE BEST! (saying this first so it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of the rest of this review) Came here early on a weekday morning to grab a cake and have balloons blown up for my nephew's birthday. Compared to Walmart, their cake selection is AWESOME! If you're looking for a quick last-minute cake - you'll find something that matches what you're looking for here. Whether it's a simple one-tier cake to look like a watermelon or a hamburger or a sweet tart cake, you'll find something here! They have a crap-ton of BOGO (Buy One, Get One for free) deals on so many things. Self-checkout was a breeze as well! Filling up balloons that you bring in will cost you about $1.49/balloon. Helium is not cheap nowadays - just FYI. We initially brought in about 50 balloons to fill up but Frank, who helped us set the expectation and stated it would take too long to fill up so we opted for 15 balloons. He was so friendly & accommodating that I knew I was going to write this review. I don't normally write reviews for grocery store chains but gotta give credit where it's due. After Frank was done filling our balloons and we were headed out, one of the balloons got loose and drifted up to the ceiling. Unfortunately, it was a balloon that we bought so he couldn't just give us the exact same one. He tried to get it down for us along with other employees seeing us struggling. He finally got it down but there are spikes on the ceiling for this reason and our balloon suffered a puncture. They had a similar balloon in stock (different color) & Frank gave that to us - no charge! Sooooooo... long story to say - FRANK is GREAT & although I am from the West Coast, I can see why people like Publix. Great employees like Frank would keep my family & I coming back. read more

Online ordering. Things are not ready on time and when you said something they didn't care much. Unusual in Publix stores

A store that is rapidly in decline. I moved down here prior to Covid And would enjoy shopping for my groceries. Then when covid happened they stepped it up another notch. I truly felt like this was a truly great family business. Then things started to go down quickly. They deal with Boars head almost solely. And when Boars had a continuous problem with sanitation and people were dying Publix did nothing to inform thier customer base about potential problems with their supplier. in my opinion they helped Boars Head cover the whole thing, making them complicit with Boars head. Not sure why but posted phone is for pharmacy. I requested to speak with store manager about an issue and was transferred to line that rang endlessly. Called back number and pharmacy put me on hold endlessly. Called back gain and same thing. Bottom line, I was unsuccessful to reach the store. I find the customer service to be poor. Prices are high. People in store esp Primo Water guy was rude. You don't need my $$. I can avoid abuse and shop somewhere else. read more

Worst Publix I have ever been to. Pick a different Publix. A quick 5 minute in and out quick shop turned into 30 minutes with walking out with my left hand smelling of putrid meat. I never complain or write these but I today 09/14/2024 Saturday I go to get the BOGO chicken drumsticks and thighs, putting the packages into the small bags so no mess for the cashier, when I smell putrid meat. I sniff inside the bag that has thighs and it is ROTTEN meat smell, not sure if laying in uncleaned shelf or what, a little ticked but oh well, Ill wash my rotten stink hands when I get home. Get to the deli department , I am the only one there. 4 ladies standing there, 3 of them make eye contact with me including the deli manger Marie, dont smile nothing, just turn and walk away... For 5 minutes im standing there looking at 2 of the deli workers until im helped. No 8 piece fried chicken on the shelf is why I am there. " Can you tell me how long for the fried chicken 8 piece" " TWO minutes" okay i wait for 5 minutes with nothing coming out. I walk away. Standing in line NO JOKE, a customer who was also came after me waiting for service came up to me at the checkout line, and said " The deli lady to me to give you this" , and hands me a 8 piece. After that I talked to the assistant manager there, I told her everything and how the BOGO tags are never even in the correct places, so you get normal charged for the same brand items and not BOGO. Told her everything is on camera and the rotten chicken was still in the little bags they have on rolls in the meat department to go smell. Had a lady 2 months ago at this same store in checkout line say she was tired of the store and to put back all her items to the cashier, guess lots of people are fed up with this location too. Would not suggest shopping at the location. Again, worst Publix I have ever been to, and management runs the store poorly. My new favy !! I'm from ShopRite land in New Jersey and Publix satisfies my grocery store niche.. and then some.

I am new to the area (Florida) I have shopped at every Publix in Naples to find a favorite. This is, without a doubt, the best one. The store looked clean & so far, everything i brought home, looks very fresh. The employees go out of their way to make you feel welcome. I also noticed there were a couple of managers working (and it was early evening). They made sure people found everything they were looking for & were moving them through checkout quickly. More registers open than I have ever seen in a grocery store. Awesome! Keep up the good work & thank you for that 'northern' hospitality I miss on a daily basis! read more

I like Publix, but I don't love Publix. They are all are about the same. Some have sushi, some have poor phone reception some have good WiFi. Some cleaner some faster checkout. Prices tend to be better at the publix that are near other grocery stores so it helps to have a good memory or a good note pad. I wish you had a larger selection of frozen pizzas. and the beer could be colder perhaps. If the coolers had a door like the gas stations it would be more efficient. I would take the extra step to open a door especially if cold beer was on the other side. 010/14 read more

I must compliment the management at this store. The store manager, Mike, has worked hard to ensure that the customers are happy to shop at this store location. I have to tell you that the employees are very helpful and friendly to the customers. I need to give kudos to the meat manager, Chris, who gives top notch customer service. He is always friendly and asks if there is anything at all he can help you with and is very courteous. The store is clean and you feel at home because of the service provided by the employees and managers. I have to say that I went to the Davis Blvd. location and the service was terrible and not very clean compared to this store location. This is my go to store when I shop at a Publix. Kudos to 811! They need to hire more people that want to work. Long waits in the deli area. Produce is worst Walmart garbage.

This place needs to hire a manager who can fire the existing deli staff and hire people who like to wait on customers. I don't know one person in my community who feel the deli staff at either Publix's on Collier are any good at servicing the public. What you will find is several deli staff stationed at the sandwich area ( with one or two customers), another few who are at the deli, but doing some clean up or prep work and then one staff person cutting cold cuts with a dozen customers waiting. I truly believe the workers there see the crowd out of the corner of their eye and pretend not to see you and do some other task just to avoind waiting on you. THEY JUST DON'T LIKE to WAIT ON CUSTOMERS and do everything in their power to avoid doing so. Rather than pay them on an hourly basis you should pay them on how many customers they serve each day read more

Once again impressed by Publix employees. Today a moron left his dog in the car in 85 degree heat with 2 windows barely cracked. She stayed after her shift waiting outside to make sure someone came back to the car with 10 min. And then she told the moron how dangerous that is for the dog. I love publix employees. read more

Something is not right. Numerous times I have found my purchase "not fresh" or just plain "bad" even when the purchase has not yet reached a "sell by date". My latest purchase involved our Christmas Turkey, frozen broad breast. I always buy Butterball, however the size I wanted was only available in the "Publix" brand turkey. Absolutely the worst turkey I have ever purchased, anywhere, any brand. I found the bird to have stuffed under the skin, handsful of white fat, disgusting and deceptive. It was also necessary to cut off about 6 inches of the ugly neck skin with more fat under it. After roasting the bird, the roasting pan was almost overflowing with grease, not juices. I poured off all the fat and roasted for another 40 minutes, again the roasting pan was full of grease. The skin over the breast was very thick and hard to carve. After the initial serving, I simply wrapped up the bird and threw everything away, a 24pound turkey for 5 adults should have yielded some left-overs. This turkey was $.20 less per pound than the Butterball, had it been free, it still would have been a waste of time and money, other than the valuable lesson I learned to never, ever buy Publix brand and try to buy meat and produce elsewhere, as well as beware of their BOGO policy where you will find the price of the item to be much higher than other stores to begin with. read more

The only problem I have with Publix is the pharmacy at this location. If you are the only person there waiting, they will look at you and go right back to their computers without saying a word. No "hello" no "just a moment please." Nothing. Drives me completely insane because I've worked in customer service all my life and that's definitely not a great experience. read more

Great people at the register but the Deli department is beyond awful. I'd rather be attacked by fire ants than attempt to go to that department!!! They are rude and extremely SLOW-like so slow that you are wondering if they are doing it on purpose because no one could ever, ever move that slow. Not only that but rude, I was waiting in line, only one person in front of me-that took 10 minutes, then the lady behind the counter walks away! No kidding. I've been there as the only one at the counter with 2-3 workers behind the counter and after waiting several minutes I had to say "excuse me but could you help me." Its terrible, it's so bad I won't order anything from the deli anymore. Tonight,I have found out the rest of my family has had the same issues that I have, my daughter went in there to grab a quick sub sandwich-20 minutes later she got a sandwich. So here's a suggestion that my husband uses when he goes in there, he starts videotaping them with his phone so he has proof to show the management. Horrible experience, not at all a "pleasure". Sadly, a horribly managed store in the normally excellent chain. At 5:00 pm one of the busiest stores times, highly understaffed, even the manager has "gone home". Two check out lanes open out of about a dozen, with a nasty check-out cashier in the "express" lane who clearly cannot count since no one was following the 10 items or under "rule", backing up the line 7 deep. Management clearly indifferent to complaint when told, but of course this is the assistant given the manager is not around at the store's busiest time. Avoid this location, or find one of the better service oriented alternatives in this town with a Fresh Market down the street or a Wynn's where service still means something. read more
