I bought a prepackaged for cooking not frozen salmon with miso sauce and noodles I brought it home and cooked it and ate it.My wife came home and says " whats that bad smell " I told her I had cooked salmon from Publix in Britton Plaza she said I think it was bad! I was sick to my stomach for 24 hours and I went back to Publix and told the manager that I had purchased a bad meal from Publix.He called up his seafood manager Jason who I told him what had happened.They didn't offer to replace or give me a credit but said in the future they would " smell " the fish for me even though it was sealed and wrapped with their logo on the packaging they said " we don't make that here" we just sell it! I feel like that is elder abuse and they were not even sympathetic to my problem.I feel that Mr Jenkins and his family would be shocked at this decision and attitude by the store management! read more

Being retired from the bakery deli business with Harps Food Stores in Arkansas I know how a good rotisserie should taste. Very disappointed to find this one dry and tasteless. This is the worst store ever. They have nothing in stock, ever. The deli people are lazy and won't make anything for you. The meat counter is hardly stocked. The produce is poor. They would never get away with this in a higher end market. The manager needs to be replaced for allowing this store to run this way. The Deli staff was rude and ignored me. I stood at the hot food case waiting to order and the girl working this area looked at me and went about wiping down the sandwich counter where a male employee was making a sandwich for the only other customer in the area. I love Publix and they are my preferred grocer. I've visited this location a few times given that it's convenient to where I work. This is not my preferred store as it does not appear to be as clean as other stores around. I've also had their deli for lunch before and the food is not as good as other Publix locations, so not sure if it's because the food sat for a long time and wasn't as fresh or what but I ended up throwing the mac and cheese away due to no flavor and was just bland. read more

My first experience with ordering online from the Publix deli was a disaster. My turkey & bacon had onions & green pepper when I did not order either. Howard's Ultimate didn't have mayo or spicy mustard as ordered. I'm not sure I'll order online again from this location. Every business has some issues with some customers. And unfortunately one person's negative experience stated in a public review affects 100% of the business. I had a positive experience I want to share. In my case my wife and I ordered a 50th Anniversary cake. Brittany at the Publix on Waters helped us select, size and design the cake. I had the worst experience at this local Publix Super Market. My cashier was very rude and very unprofessional. She was very lazy at doing her job, she sounded as if she wanted to go home. She rolled her eyes at me when I asked to have my receipt. My receipt was almost ripped due to the harsh way she grabbed it and handed it to me. I remember her name tag said "Jackie" and I will be talking to the manager about this experience next time I go there. It is very sad to say this was not the only time she has done this. My co-worker had the same experience with Ms. Jackie . My friend told me she gave her very much bad attitude when she only asked about the coupons. This Publix on Waters Ave. And Hanley Road is a mid size store. The staff is courteous and go out of their way to help you. Overall I find Publix to be a bit pricey. The problem is we don' t have many alternatives with Sweet Bay being bought out and Albertsons closing. I find myself always running in to pick something up or doing weekly shopping there, especially their BOGO, which can be quite good and offer substantial savings. I like the courtesy and inside and outside help that Publix offers you. All in all Publix is a solid store, but overall pricy. This does tend to be my go you chain grocery store. Love them putting the groceries in my car. What's a girl to do? Gotta shop the bargains, so money left over to play! read more

This review is specifically for the deli. If you want to do a mobile order for sandwiches, just show up instead of wasting time. On more than one occasion I have put mobile orders in and still had to wait for the sandwich's to be finished, or even be start to be made. I have never showed up but at the estimated time of pick up, but have still had to wait 15-30 for the order. If you want sandwiches you're better off showing up to have them make it while you're there read more

Do not go to the twelve oak store on waters , I ordered subs online email said they would be ready at 7:20 , went there and waited until 7:50 before they started making them , talked to a manager and the manager Mallory exact words to where to bad we are busy there nothing I can do. Needless to say this is the only PUBLIXS I ever have any problems with. I really think they need to retrain Mallory if she's even a manager because she came out from behind the bakery. read more

I use this publix all the time incident free. I wanted to drop a review because I had a great experience and those should be acknowledged. I called here for the bakery to order my husband a birthday cake. I was fortunate to get Madd on the phone. Not mad but Madd she is a delightfully polite person that works there. I believe I was on the phone for a good 15 min. I called with no real idea of direction for the cake. She was extremely patient and very helpful with me. We went through 3 different order forms by the way. I truly appreciated her input. Madd should be acknowledged for her customer service skills. This is a nice grocery store, but my rating is on the deli specifically. I've been shopping at Publix for decades and while the quality here is fine, the deli is befuddled by the most basic sandwich orders. I've ordered a Cuban, and despite this being Tampa, and in this case in a neighborhood that is about 75% Hispanic, they never have Cuban bread ready. Never! Instead they send a sandwich maker on an epic journey to get some. I assume from the bakery, but given how long it takes it may be from another location and involve Sherpa guides. This confusion over basic sandwich orders is not limited to half hour sojourns for Pan Cubano. I have ordered other sandwiches exactly as listed on the menu, and it takes a consultation with 3-4 deli workers and at least 1 manager to decide how to proceed. I swear I'm not that picky and am not placing bizarre requests. I have stopped here for a "quick" sandwich order that ends up taking as long as a sit down meal. All that being said, the sandwiches are great once completed, and the staff is always friendly. A nice store, but not quite up to the usual Publix standard. read more

This Publix is not my favorite Publix but its my neighborhood Publix so I'm stuck with it. Always better than Walmart by the way. The parking lot is tiny so you can never find a good parking spot. People also really love to park on the side of the building and the fire lane here and it gets cluttered. The setup in here is simple and it's easy to get around. The deli can get a little congested here and there but the deli staff is very friendly. The three things I hate most when going the grocery store or any store for that matter are the following: 1. People driving the wrong way in the parking lot. 2. People standing in the middle of an aisle pondering items that refuse to move. 3. My personal favorite, the "I have 18 items guy but I'm going to the 10 items or fewer lane" During my last few visits here all three of these things always happen to me. Which is just inconvenient. My shopping would be a way better pleasure if employees here actually refused to ring up people who have too many items in the 10 items or fewer lane. read more

I am so disappointed that this Publix chose to phase out several of the gluten free products, including from manufacturers like Daiya, Tinkyada, Pamela's and Nature's Bakery, that I regularly use. My understanding is that this is part of a corporate "reset". It's disappointing that the closest grocery store to me seems to have little understanding or compassion for people with gluten sensitivity issues. I was told that they might carry these items again after the reset, but I feel that's asking too much of your customers. Please don't expect your customers to spend the time and effort asking if these products will be restocked and possibly carried again. I'll limit what I buy at this Publix and locate a different store that will offer the products that my diet requires. read more

I'm partial to this Publix because it's my neighborhood publix for over 15 years. It is clean and the service is great. My only complaint is the bakery. Every time I have them write a Happy Birthday it's always awkward writing. Though either way the cakes are always delicious and there is rarely any mistakes on an order and that's including the deli. And if your not aware by some odd reason you must get a pub sub the buffalo chicken is my favorite. As I said I am partial to this publix but I honestly enjoy publix because it truly is where shopping is a pleasure. read more

This Publix is very convenient to our home and luckily a great Publix. In some reviews I saw complaints about parking along the front of Publix. Unfortunately, it is along the front of the entire complex and yes it is annoying. I have to drop my senior mother off at the front of the store before I park and sometimes it is difficult to find a spot.That being said, the thing that makes this Publix so great are the people that work here. It is always a pleasant experience, even when I am going in after a long day at work. Everyone seems to have a good attitude and genuinely seem to want your shopping experience to be positive. The people are always friendly and helpful....and if they do not have what I am looking for, I stop at the customer service desk for a raincheck. I love every department in this store. I know it is one of the older stores in the area and perhaps that is why it has become one of my favorites. New is not always better, and this publix proves it. Bogo's are a big thing here also and you get a great deal on many items when you're grocery shopping! I am a big fan of Publix subs and usually get the Boar's Head Italian subs. I love this Publix! They are always clean and always willing to help customers find things around their store. Their pharmacy technicians are always willing to answer any questions you may have related to medical problems. Their bakery is phenomenal. The manager in the bakery is someone you can tell that truly loves his job; he also has a great sense of humor. The bakery is always stocked with hot bread and cold desserts. The meat market in the store has nice workers whom meet your need. They make conversation along with jokes while they prepare your order, not like other places where they mutter under their breaths and do not try to converse with people. Their customer service is awesome and they strive to form customer-employee relationships during your check out. The general managers join in the work when they see people are in need of assistance, like bagging groceries and cashiering. They do not just boss people around because they can as managers, like other places. When they ask other employees to do things, they are friendly about it. I always enjoy going to Publix to shop for my groceries with their friendly, helpful employees and clean facility. read more

This would be your average publix. Good selections of food. Isles are clean and wide. It doesn't feel cluttered or unorganized. Good fish market, deli, meat market and florist. If your just driving by you'll prolly find what you need, and if you live locally, than this would be better than the other places nearby. My only grip is I wish is was easier to get out of the plaza, but I doubt publix could fix that. read more

It's usually just a few groceries and I'll also pick up lunch here sometimes too. I love Publix and have been shopping at this location for the past ten years. I love how close and convenient it is to get from my home. The employees are always really kind and helpful. They always offer to push out your cart and load your car when you got a good amount of groceries. I'm really happy that the Greenwise section has gotten bigger with a great variety of healthy products. The prices are not the cheapest, but I rather pay a little extra when going into a clean and welcoming grocery store and getting better quality products. The fruit and veggies are always kept fresh and restocked. I also like purchasing fresh deli items or quick bites when I'm on the go. read more

I'm not going to criticize the food store. It is clean and well stocked and if you are willing to pay 20-40% more than Walmart or Aldi charges for the same items go right ahead. For around forty years I have shopped at the Waters Avenue store for convenience only. My complaint is with the pharmacy. I will admit that their pricing is quite competitive on prescriptions. Their service, however, has been lousy. They are understaffed. The pharmacist is continually on the telephone. Most importantly, they tell you when the Rx will be ready for pick up, but if you show up at that time it will NOT be ready I can promise you. This has been my experience over the years and today I showed up over an hour later and it was still not ready and was told to wait another fifteen minutes. When I came back it was still not ready and there was another gent in line ahead of me fuming as he was in the same predicament. read more
