Well, I am a frugal shopper so Publix is not my primary store. Regular groceries can be had much cheaper elsewhere...why pay more for the same item???? So, why 4 stars?? Because Publix is superior in 2 categories: 1. Bakery. Their buttercream frosting makes me pray that someday sugar will not be evil and unhealthy. The frosted brownies are earth shattering. Sorry...got lost there for a moment...it's been a long time since I had one of those brownies. 2. Deli. Specifically their subs (grinders to my CT born husband). In Jersey you can get a fantastic sub on practically any corner...I can rattle off the name of 5 places in my small home town alone...but here in FL, people actually go to...shudder...Subway. :( It's sad. Very, very sad. Anyway, Publix is a saving grace...fresh baked rolls in a wide variety...and yes the meats and cheese are weighed and measured but I guess the bottom line is even more important every day. Each sandwich is made to order so I can indulge in my "heavy on the vinegar" obsession. My ideal day...and I soooooooooo rarely do this....grab a Publix sub and head to the beach with a good book and my trusty chaise lounge....heaven!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have no qualms with (most) Publix outposts and this one is no different. I actually found this to be a nicer, newer store than many others I've visited in my years in Florida. This one is pretty new and is really clean, well organized, and well stocked. The employees I encountered on my multiple visits here were a hodgepodge of super on top of it and friendly to clueless and lackadaisical so it's a mixed bag. We also visited the prepared food area on our most recent trip to pick up a meal for three of us that we had previously ordered and customer service in that area was spot on. There is not much of a choice other than Wal Mart in this area for groceries and while that may be lower price, I think it's quality over quantity and since there is no TJ or Whole Foods, this is as good as it's gonna get. read more

Ok - this is a Publix, so pretty standard stuff. BUT - the people/staff here is genuinely nice! Bakery, sub-makers, sushi guys, and those stocking product are all so dang friendly that you just feel at home here. And - I know they all special order sushi - but the sushi guy here is AWESOME and has great suggestions for things to try. Love it here!! read more

My girlfriend (who is a nurse) often complains about her prescriptions at Publix - seems like there is always a mixup - been going on for a long time. She recently mentioned she might switch to CVS or Walgreen's. She is a diabetic and the medications are very important. They somehow screw up her prescriptions shockingly often. She would probable be inclined to put 0 stars - I'm putting 2. Latest example is she switched from US 1 & 12th Street location to the Oslo Road location so we went to the Oslo location - they didn't have them so we had to drive to the usual US 1 location. The guy had no explanation for her (he was the guy who put in the paperwork for the switch). read more

I went to publix Pharmacy, Jill Merrit was supposed to help me but made me call my insurance and I tried a few times to speak to a rep and was not successful after 20 minutes. I asked her a few times can you call I'm sure you can get through faster and she said "no I have to much to do" seeing me struggle and my son boiling in fever next to me having the flu. I went right across the street to the CVS and the lady took care of me in 5 minutes giving me the prescription I need it. I went back and recorded her so she knows what customer service should be. read more

8 out of 10 times that we online order a sub at this Publix it is not ready at the time stated. Management is very good about making things right. (free sub) Well our sub today was supposed to be ready at 5:10. I asked where our sub was and the response was " Oh, we are making it right now". Frustrated is an understatement as to how I felt. Finally, our sub was ready at 5:26. One of the male employees in the deli apologized by saying " Sorry about this but we have been really busy". I am tired of the excuses. Half the time they don't even know our ticket is on the printer until I arrive to pick it up. So I have decided to post a negative review every single time this happens. I hope that management and corporate will see there is a serious issue with management in the deli and resolve the issue. read more

Being from "the north" I didn't know of the Publix chain. They have just about everything you could want and a well stocked deli. They are a bit more expensive then the other places but a 5 minute walk makes the price for convenience. read more

For ease of use and product selection, although a bit further from my home, this is my Publix of choice in comparison to the older, but closer store on 58th. If I'm going on a big shopping run - this is my place. If I just need to pick up a few things, I go to 58th. The staff here, however, arent really into being helpful - a lot of folks running around in their own worlds. If management is listening - may I suggest that you have staff on breaks not smoke in front of the store - its not an appealing optic. read more
