I love Publix stores but I'm not a huge fan of this location mainly because of it's size. It's probably half the size of your average Publix, with a small parking lot. It does offer everything you find at other locations even the Sushi but best if needed for a quick in and out shopping. read more

I don't mind waiting in a longer line so Jerry is my Sales Clerk (cashier). I only shop at this Publix because of Jerry. If he's working, I only go through his line. I shop there about 3 times a week. Jerry honestly warms my heart every time I go through his line. He has the best attitude and is so friendly. That is so hard to find now a days in customer service. I grew up with Publix and shopped there my entire life and will continue to go. I recently relocated to Tampa and the Publix downtown on Bayshore is close to my home, but very difficult to shop. The store design is the poorest I've seen and the isles are narrow or packed with displays. The deli is a nightmare to approach and shop. Parking is difficult too. I have begun shopping at other locations even if it is a greater distance from my home. read more

Even though this Publix is only about a mile away, I usually drive an extra 4 miles to go to the one on Dale Mabry instead. The employees are all wonderful and friendly -- it's the store itself I dislike. The parking lot is stressful, the building is very small for a Publix and has fewer options, and the layout is different than most other Publix locations, which makes it difficult for me to get in and out efficiently. I have a hard time finding what I need here, and often wind up circling the store a few times before I finally find it. Other times I circle only to realize they don't even carry the item I'm looking for. read more

I have frequented this store many times in the Am on my way work to grab lunch and any items I may have forgotten over the weekend at my amazing Ehrlich Rd. store. Over the years I have noticed how poorly the stock is rotated and how terribly the staff is treated, but continue to stop merely because of the convenience. Never again. Friday morning I walk in, head up the bakery isle, and hear the bakery manager (who I have observed being less than nice to his staff in the past) just laying into these 2 poor woman. I mean, demeaning, degrading, and disrespectful. I was almost in tears with empathy for them. If I we're them, I would have walked out. No one deserves to be treated like that, that is why every employee is miserable in the store, the are treated like slaves, and their high employee turn over proves it! I'll go out of my way to never return to this store. read more

I HOPE THE MANAGER SEES THIS. A young gentleman was helping us bag the groceries and halfway through he stopped, looked at the cashier and said "oh I'm taking a break." He then turned, around and left and left the cashier with a busy line and the rest of our groceries unbagged. What awful service! That young man needs to be fired. He worked on 9-18-16 at 8pm. I try to find a very new brand of beverages, and a gentleman stocking alcohol asked me if I needed help. I told him I was looking for this special beverage that came in different bottles with different colors. I'm talking about the Neuro brand drinks. He was able to bring me right to the exact aisle that they were hiding. They were overpriced compared to Walmart but that is expected. read more

Another bad day at Publix Bayshore. Again, the deli department. They advertise the "combo" package, which I've purchased and like, but this store was out of the nicely prepared (plastic box, two meats and one cheese packaged separately in the plastic container). So the lad behind the counter, when he got done talking with his co-worker, said "I'm out of that..." I asked him if he could make me up a combo package and after a bit he said "sure, I can do that." Continued talking to his co-worker, so I said "I'll shop and come back to pick it up." When I picked it up, I didn't take a look at it, but noted it was in a single plastic zip package. OK. Got home, saw that the two meats and one cheese were sliced nice, but separated by plastic sheets, rather than in separate plastic zip packages. Of course they should be. Another example of the "lazy days" deli department, where shopping is an exercise in getting their attention, and then getting something done. read more

Small Publix on the way home. I can't say I like it as much as my 2 other Publix-es in Male Mabry and Azeele. Staff there seem less nice, and parking is a pain sometimes. Just that it's really convenient on the way home to pick up 1 or 2 items for dinner. read more

This Publix is just ok. It is a Publix so the sandwiches and lunch meat are great, but shopping here is mildly unpleasant on their best day. The store has a great location which is really all they need and you can tell. At this point I go there if I don't have time to drive a little further to Winn Dixie or just need to pick up a few things. Without fail while you are there at least one staff member will act like they are too busy for you or be just flat out rude even when the store is not crowded. There are some friendly ones, but to me getting frustrated or made to feel like you are an inconveniencing anyone when you are just trying to grocery shop is just annoying. read more

I had Publix Deli at Britton Plaza Tampa, FL cater by Xmas dinner party and what a disaster that was. First they called me two days before Xmas eve and told me that they did not have two of my side entrees. Apparently, it didn't come on the truck from Lakeland. Then when I picked up my order Xmas eve, they didn't have my large turkey that i ordered and gave me two smaller turkey's instead. When i heated up the food that night, the plastic containers that were suppose to be oven proof melted in my oven. Also, the food qualify was cafeteria grade at best. Very bland and salty. i will never order food from their Deli again for catering a party. read more

Very helpful, energetic, and kind staff. Most of the staff members that I spoke with gave me insight on, not only location of products, but product background information and helpful tips. The store is small and gets a little crowded at times so I usually go at night to avoid bumping into too many carts. All products are fresh and well stocked. The produce section is diverse, but they don't offer an abundance of organic alternatives. Displays were relevant to the Channelside area's needs and activities, such as a multitude of Tampa Bay Lightning products. This Publix has one of the best butcher and meat departments in all of the area. The staff has an amazing homemade rub and marinade that they always offer which take's the pristine (yet affordable) cuts of meat they offer to the next level. The parking lot can be a little tricky to get in and out of, but like I said, if you go at night you can avoid a lot of those downtown congestion issues. The store is extremely clean and it is very rare to see a cart astray in the parking lot. read more

This is not the experience I expect from Publix stores. First, I had asked a woman in the cheese testing department if she knew where their simple freezer bags were. She rolled her eyes at me and said they didn't carry those. Which I know they do, but I haven't been to this Publix so I needed assistance. About 5 minutes later, my friend and I found a whole section of the freezer bags. Later on when we were checking out, the cashier in lane 6 had just checked out another customer and when the customer just disappeared and left all of his stuff she left the register and acted very rude towards us. We were not doing or saying anything about it; we were just waiting. When she got back she was pressuring us to get something free when we just wanted one. She asked us 4 times about it and we really just wanted the one item. Then when we were done paying, she didn't put anything in bags and we had to carry all of our items out. DO NOT go to this Publix if you're looking for friendly employees and basic customer service. read more
