This Publix is pretty small compared to the other ones. Theres only room for 1 cart in the aisles and you can't pass through, this also pertains to the produce area. When I was picking out some onions, there were a couple gnats. It has all the items we were looking for however, our bagger was just packing items with no thought. We brought our reusables and 1 is made for cold items. This guy just put whatever items in the bag... heavy on top of delicates. Apples on top of pretzels that are now smashed. We brought our reusable bags but ended up with 7 plastic bags which doesn't even make sense because we brought 3-4 reusable ones. We usually do self check out but at times we like to use the regular lines. We usually self bag ourselves even in regular lines but this guy just didn't care. Just highly disappointed read more

We truly love our Publix but sadly customer service has declined tremendously in the past couple of months, to the point the new staff doesn't apologize for anything when they are in the wrong doing, even to get the Bogo offers sometimes I have to go myself and take a photo of the items which is an inconvenience for me the customer.. read more

I usually only shop at Publix and since we moved over here 3 years ago, it is the only one that I absolutely love. The staff is so friendly. They always remember us in the deli and ask how we are doing. You always see managers near the front and more times then not, they jump in and help. The produce is always full and looks inviting. If any associate even thinks you are looking for something, they stop to help. I really enjoy spending a little more money here then battling super target or walmart. The cashiers are very friendly and usually start a conversation with you. There is one or two that do not say much but it is not a big deal. They always offer to take your stuff to the car as well. I went to get a money order one time and no one knew how to change the paper. I had to wait about 10 minutes so they gave me a $10 gift card for having to wait. Its things that like, that I enjoy coming back here over and over again. They also make sub sandwich's and they are great. My favorite is the chicken tender sub with some buffalo sauce. One thing I noticed is that it is cheaper and more portions if you get the regular sub as opposed to a wrap. There is another Publix down the road that I could easily go to, but I don't like it quite as much. I will always shop at this Publix. Great staff, always full shelves and never too crowded. A Plus in my book. They made our wedding cake and it came out absolutely gorgeous. Our guests didn't even believe we had it made at Publix. It really looked like a super expensive wedding cake. This location is not great and I only visit it when I absolutely have to. It feels tiny and cramped, and setup differently than most. Today I had a really hard time trying to find different vegetables and meats. It seems like their selection is a lot less than most stores. For the meats, they were so disorganized. Packages were put in all the wrong places, and things that were on sale weren't even out. It's possible it had run out, but it didn't seem that way and it wasn't a rush time of day. I had to keep asking for the different things I needed, which is a bit of an annoyance as then I also had to wait for them to cut and package. read more

Well what can i say about my Publix. Lets start with miss molly gunson. The sweetest kindest young lady. I come onto my publix everyday on my way home. This sweet young lady always says hello and asks me how my day was. She knows that Publix is on my exercise rout so she is always so encouraging. I love Publix. I really do. It's not only one of the best grocery chains in the country, but for me it's been a lifelong obsession. Amazing subs. Amazing deli. Great people. All of the above usually applies to my neighborhood Publix, but there is one thing that has disturbed me for the past couple years: they keep expired items on the shelves. This has happened to me about 7 or 8 times the past few years, ranging from years old expired soda, expired refrigerated Mac and cheese, expired frozen pizza and most recently, expired tarter sauce. So I'm writing this to warn you to please check the expiration dates on food that you buy here! I have repeatedly found expired items and complained/let the manager know, but obviously nothing is being done to fix their quality control. read more

Normally I'm a BIG Publix fan but summerport in windermere has just been lain bad 2 weeks in a row. Last week I shopped online. they took my payment but when I arrived my order was not only not ready but they didn't have what I ordered. Wait on line to ask nobody knows, wait for refund.This week I went to swap a Dr Pepper Cherry for a dr pepper cherry zero " iam sorry sir this store only carries zero not regular (I bought it at the publix across town, which is where I will now always go). The deli department was so inefficient I left without without that as well The guy in front of me preordered and his order had not been done so he had to start from scratch. I shop here when I go to Fowlers Grove. It is a clean & well organized store. Once, about 3 years ago, I had an issue with the meat dept. They left expired Applegate bacon on the shelf...$$$...week pass due. I took it to the butcher & he put all 6 back on the shelf. I had to call & I have not had an issue since. I also like that this store is quiet on Sun mornings & early a.m. onbweek days...in & out. You don't have long lines or waiting at this location. The staff is friendly, well humored, and helpful. Super friendly Publix! Every employee that I passed or passed me went out of their way to ask if everything was alright or if I needed help. I came here while the sushi chef was making sushi and decided to pick some up. Really good and fresh! The seafood attendant was explaining to me that they make the sushi fresh every morning. Then when we checked out, the bagger was taking a bit longer (I guess) and apologized for the wait. Overall, I think it has something to do with management and they're doing something right! read more

Beyond disappointed. My 3 year old could've done a better job. Not only does the cake look like it took less than a few moments to make or that it was done by a child but the costumer service was atrocious! The writing was supposed to be red when it's clearly pink. I told the baker that the frosting was supposed to be red and she rudely barked that it was red. For the past 1-2 months, I have been looking for the Ben and Jerry's cannoli-flavored ice cream. Up until this past Wednesday, I had no luck finding it anywhere near here. I guess I wasn't the only one having trouble finding it; it's a limited-edition flavor and it seems that enough people, both locally and nationwide, had not seen it around much, which may be why there now is a "Find cannoli" locator on the B&J's site. If you check that out, you can type in your zip code and see which nearby places, if any, have had this ice cream. So, maybe a week or so ago, this Publix appeared on the "Find cannoli" locator. Unfortunately, the store did not have any when I called; maybe it once did, but it was sold out by the time I called to check on it. The person I spoke with on the phone was very helpful and really impressed me with his customer service skills. He said he'd check on this flavor for me and see when they might get some more in (and also see if any other nearby Publix stores had it) and then try to call me later with an update. A few hours later, he did. Although he wasn't able to give me the good news that the ice cream had been found, he was very considerate. I definitely appreciated the effort he put into this. I haven't been to this Publix, but I have heard that it's nice. I'm not sure if I ever will go (I don't live at all close to it), but you never know! This review just is to commend the employee's effort. This is yet another reason why Publix is my favorite grocery store. read more

This is my favorite Publix. I have lived near this location for a few years, and I am never quite as happy when I have to visit any other Publix location. The employees are always friendly - I only recall having one grumpy run-in at the seafood counter on one occasion in all the years that I have lived here. I feel like I have gotten to know many of the employee's faces over the years and I am almost always able to strike up friendly conversation with them when I am there. I always notice management presence - someone in business clothes walking around the store talking to employees, bagging groceries or helping a customer carry groceries to their car. That's impressive! This location is clean, rarely overcrowded and never overrun with tourists. The freshly made sushi, subs, bakery items and pre-made foods never disappoint. The free balloons for the little ones are magical. Competitor coupons and BOGOs make me happy. The convenient Blockbuster movie box is a great addition. The layout of this location makes sense - something that I usually take for granted until I am forced to visit some other wonky location. I love Publix - especially THIS Publix! read more

I'm a fan of Publix of their sales. The store is always clean and usually well stocked. The regular prices drive me up the wall because of how high they are. The staff is friendly and usually overly willing to help me with my items into my cart and into my car. I'm thrilled my sister lives near this Publix. It's got a great selection of food and I can always find what I need. Case in point: it's two days before Thanksgiving and I needed challah for stuffing. They were all out at the bakery, but a lovely worker (who's name I can't remember! Argh!) offered to take an order that I could pick up the next day at my convenience. I was incredibly impressed by his willingness to help me out the day before Thanksgiving, and the challah that I picked up was fresh and delicious as if I had gotten it from a Mom & Pop bakery. Just moved here from Alabama. A little disappointed that there are not as many options for grocery stores in Windermere in a 6 mile radius of Windermere Trails. Only choice seem to be Publix. In Alabama, I have Kroger, Publix, Fresh Mart, Sprouts, Earth Fare, Piggly Wiggly, Super Target and Super Walmart all within a 6 mile radius. In addition there are 2 well stocked ethnic grocery stores. I had sticker shock at the Publix near my development and the lack of variety for fruits, vegetables and cuts of meat. Also not much organic stuff. So, maybe because of lowered expectations, I was quite happy to see this Publix selling pork belly and a redbox in the store. read more

I had ordered quite a bit of Diet Pepsi, it is my primary liquid refreshment. You only had one bottle of my requested size in inventory. I got nothing, not even a phone call as promised requesting a substitute, not even that one blinking bottle. Most of Diet Pepsi fans feel the taste is the same, regardless of bottle size! Still among the worst publix locations in the area. I ordered subs to be picked up and the email confirmation was delivered at 6pm with a 6:30pm time of pickup. At 6:35pm they started to make the subs as I was waiting at the pickup area. 30 minutes is plenty of time to make 2 subs and this was the time quoted as when they would be ready. I have had multiple poor experiences with this location including the employees not reading the notes in online orders. The location down the road is worth the trip. read more
