the front of a publix store

Publix has become the leading name in the supermarket field here in the southeast. Once you experience a Publix supermarket yourself, I am confident that you will understand how Publix has become such an iconic supermarket brand and has developed such a loyal customer base down here in the southeast. Publix has created a solid reputation by offering incredible customer service, great BOGO (buy one, get one free) deals, and we cannot forget their subs, which are affectionately known as "Pub Subs." Coming from New Jersey, a state known for their great subs, in a way, it hurts me to state that a supermarket has some of the best subs in the area. But it is also a 100% true statement. Publix subs are very good. My go-to sub is probably their Italian sub, which is truly a tasty offering. I also enjoy their roast beef and cheese sub. I would definitely recommend upgrading it by using Boar's Head meat. It is definitely worth the small upcharge. This particular Publix is also selling Christmas trees outside their location. It is great to see Publix expanding beyond the boundaries of their home state of Florida and spreading throughout the southeast. Not only am I happy about it, but I am confident that the communities where Publix opens a location are very grateful for a Publix opening by them. I would definitely recommend this particular Publix location or any Publix location for that matter and I give it five stars.

    Love Publix for this!

We LOVE our Publix! The staff there are the absolute best. Many of them recognize the kids and I when we come in and greet us by name. We usually swing through for BOGOs of the week, grab the kiddos their free bakery goodie and a piece of fruit from the free fruit box. If you become a member of their loyalty club, they send you not only coupons but anniversary gifts and other promos. I don't purchase all of my groceries from here because it tends to be more expensive than my other place but I do plan my weekly meals around their buy one get one deals.

I have been loyal to this Publix for 29 years. It's been a good relationship too. Manager Jay was the friendly guy for at least 25 or more of those years. Funny, I'm a 11 year Yelp Elite who is now doing his (and their) first Yelp review. Whew! I guess I've been waiting for something negative to motivate me to "share" my Publix review? Hope not! BoGo's are sometimes too good to be true, right? Well, I use to "trust" my grocer, but after last week's BoGo's, we're now on guarded terms. The meaning of Buy one, Get one free meaning has apparently become a slippery slope for the Publix Corp. I'll let the two receipts validate this claim for themselves. 4-pc. of Apple is BoGo = 8 total pcs.) for $2.69 * Savings $2.69!! -but- 8-pc of the Guava is $2.99 ea. So now it looks like I only saved 30ç with the BoGo, not the $2.69 that the BoGo and their AD copy implies / reads. To imply the 2nd is "FREE", conveys you are actually getting twice the product for the original price. Not the case if identical products (except for the nothing special fillings) are compared . Play semantics if you must, as IMO you would only make your position look desperate. (wake up the old guard please)

Publix always has the best fruit bowls! I highly recommend them as a quick pick me up because they are healthy and full of invigorating nutrients. From the berry bowl to their dragon fruit bowl and many others, they are fresh, crisp, sweet and on point! Publix is the way to go! Run in get yourself one and you won't regret it! All their fruit is amazing, even their cored pineapple, so sweeet and refreshing on a hot summer day!

What I love about this location is the great service. People seem generally happy here and will help you out. There is a great olive bar at this location, as well as the blockbuster rental box. Love the buy one get one free promotions, and the deli has great subs!!! What I find interesting here is the amount of kids promoting and selling different things outside the store. I almost wanted to avoid this location because I felt the girl scouts were really aggressive this year. I saw one woman who said, "They got me at Sam's" when approached about cookies. I thought it was a great line and decided to use it on my next approach. In addition, a lot of boy scouts with popcorn and various other kids raising money for sporting groups can be seen camped out at the doors.

A cow's worth of meat sitting and forgotten in the middle of the department. Sat like this the entire time I was in the store.

They gave my grandpa one bottle out of the three bottles that he was supposed to get and are now trying to charge him $2000 to refill a medication that he will die without. I had to go as far as asking them to pull the cameras to get them to see that he only received one bottle. The pharmacy manager said their cameras are too blurry to see anything. Every pharmacist I talked to, and I had to go through three of them, stated that they clearly marked the bottles number one out of three, two out of three, three out of three. I told them the only number written on this bottle is the number 23 and they said that that means that's the second bottle and he must've lost bottles one and three. They kept insinuating that my grandpa didn't know what he did with the medication and must've lost it or dropped it. I explained that my grandpa is completely competent, still drives, and did not lose his medication. I was the one that opened the stapled Walgreens bag and only pulled one bottle out. She said I should've called the immediately and that I should've known that the number 23 meant bottle two out of three. I had thought they only gave him a 30 day supply as opposed to the 90 day supply. The specific pharmacy has done that in the past with his medications. Please double check your bags with this pharmacy! We will never go back to this pharmacy again. Worst customer service and poor attitudes.

I would go (or my…read morespouse )and try to pick up my scripts and they either couldn't find them, or they didn't have it in stock or something happened with the insurance. Because they are old school the communication is terrible. There is practically no parking. One of the techs is very, very rude and abrupt. The actual pharmacists are okay but it's like dealing with the man behind the curtain to try to get their attention. I thought since they were independent that it wouldn't be like a chain drug store but it's actually worse because there's such a lack of communication. As I said, landlines work, you just have to really organize around it and call customers and keep them updated.

Physician called in my prescription and gave me the Winter Garden Pharmacy number asking me to give…read morethem an hour to follow up. Called about an hour after submission and was asked a number of questions to validate who I was. Placed me on hold for about 5 minutes several times, sometimes asking for the same information I'd already provided before finally telling me that they'd have to order the ingredients to fulfill the prescription and that it would be ready the following day. Called the next morning as previously instructed, was again asked the same validation questions and they kept placing me on hold for an unreasonable amount of time before telling me that the prescription wasn't ready but they could have it ready when I was ready to pick it up. What Pharmacy does that? Receive a prescription and then doesn't fill it until the customer has to call and ask them to fill it??? Additionally, since they'd initially acknowledged receipt of the prescription telling me it would be ready for pickup the next day; I wasn't impressed by their inconsistent communications. Provided my insurance info and was informed shortly afterward that the Member ID I provided was incorrect. I've never had any issues with the Member ID with any other Pharmacy or Physician that ran the number, asked them to repeat the number back to me and it was correct but for some reason they were unable to recognize the Member ID as valid. Told me I needed to check with my Insurance company to resolve the Member ID issue b/c the number was invalid. Contacted my insurance company who investigated the problem and I was informed that Winter Garden Pharmacy entered incorrect information for my physician into the National registry system causing the issue. There was no issues with the Member ID. My insurance company contacted and alerted my physician who then had to contact them to have them enter the correct information. I then called around 2 p.m. and asked if my prescription was ready and was again told no, but they could have it ready immediately if I wanted it. I told them I'd be coming down within a few hours. Arrived about 3 hours later and they still hadn't began filling the prescription. Had to wait. (Unbelievable!!!) Informed them of my dissatisfaction for lack of communication and having to wait when my prescription was called in a day prior and after being told I could pick it up immediately, and the response was that they're the ones doing me a favor. (Oh really!!!)..... So I and other customers are paying them for Professional services so they can keep their business going and doors open...... But they're doing me a favor??? It's laughable. Told me if I didn't like the way they did business why didn't I just go somewhere else. Trust me, if it were up to me I wouldn't have used them but it was my Physician who chose them. I suppose trying to give them some business. The pharmacy area is very large but there are only shelves in half of the area and of those shelves, only 1/2 of them have anything on them like a store going out of business. They're clearly not doing a lot of business as a Pharmacy so I fail to understand why they have such challenges as if they're flooded with customers. Extremely unprofessional. My overall thoughts are they're clearly not very good at thorough and clear communications, lack any sense of professionalism when dealing with customers, and entering incorrect information into their system is simply not acceptable especially within a Health related profession dealing with PHI data. I don't think they're bad folks, but there's obviously a serious lack of professional skills and training required when dealing with prescription medications, insurance and the public in general. Absolutely zero moral or professional etiquette. Will never use them again and advise others to consider using more reputable Pharmacies where the employees and staff are held more accountable under a Corporate entity such as CVS or Walgreens. These folks are running this Pharmacy unchecked without any moral constraints to do and say as they please.
