I have never been so embarrassed before in my entire life. Me and my husband decided to go shopping because it's usually me going by myself. Since they have BOGO deals I knew I had to get an extra buggy. That's why I had my husband to come along with me. How about we got followed around the entire store after my husband grab a second buggy because i couldn't put anything else in the first one. So, this guy decided to go down every aisle we went on pretending to shop. It was obvious he was AP and worked for Publix because he had the green band around his head that says Publix. We went down our last aisle the chip aisle. I seen when he passed by the first time but he quickly turned around and came down the same picking up some cookies. So, I told my husband because he taught me to be aware of my surrounding. My husband was like I know I seen him the first time. So, at that point I didn't feel safe shopping any further. I told my husband it's time to cash out because I don't want to feel victimized and god forbid someone follows us out the door and home. This joker A.K.A asset protection notice we wasn't down anymore aisle he can stalk us at. I seen him after they sent some lady over where I was to help me unload the buggy so the cashier can ring it up since my husband went first with the half full buggy. Come on like dam since when they start doing that. Sending people to help you unload your shopping buggy. Back on the subject at hand something told me to look up and I seen the guy looking down each aisle trying to find us and looking at the register at the same time. We locked eyes because I kept watching him and that's when he turnt to go the other way. Publix is a joke now. I would rather go to another publix that is 20 more minutes away from me to shop or start shopping at Winn Dixie. Since I live near by 7 minutes away that was my go to store. I have shopped at this Publix for years. And the reason why I go to Publix is because they have BOGO deals and I have 6 kids to feed. Foster/Adopted and bio. I work hard like everyone else does to spend my money at a store that I love the most. But not to get followed around. This Publix has never followed me or anyone else around the store like that. I have never in my life had that happen to me before and it will be the last. He is very lucky I didn't call the police to say someone is following us around the store. Then everyone would have known who he really was. I felt very uncomfortable and embarrassed. They did close the store on the Island but it doesn't justify that they have to come this way to follow a person around the store? Most of the cashier's knows who I am because of the BOGO deals I get. Publix ya'll need to get it together before you lose a lot more customers because of what you are doing! read more

I'm in town visiting friends and this store is super close. I've visited several times to pick up odds and ends. Everyone I've encountered has been so happy, helpful and pleasant! All I have to say is this is the nicest Publix ever! It's clean and bright like all Publix supermarkets, but this one has all kinds of cool stuff similar to Fresh Market or even Whole Foods. So much organic, so much fabulous small batch ice creams that I have never even heard of before, massive deli/sub making area/kombucha to you name it this store has it. Lots of employees to help you find items. The freezer area guy is off the charts awesome as we were on a Where's Waldo search for a specific item that I could not located, yet he said he had just seen it. He located the item and me and my $2 coupon went right up the check out to buy it, along with a whole cart of stuff. (I only came in for a sub) This store is located right of I-95, you know, the last exit before leaving Florida and near the baby Gator tourist trap place. If you live near here it's truly amazing, if you don't....sorry bout that! It's great! read more

Great customer service! Always greeted nicely by the checkout people. But....The pharmacy is the worst. Cold personality. Makes you feel like you interrupt them just to pick up a prescription. I have since moved to another pharmacy where you don't have the overpaid assistants bring you down to their miserable level. read more

Publix has almost everything that I need in a grocery store. I like to go later at night when it's quiet, however, I find that a lot of the people who are unpacking. boxes in the aisles are not friendly at all. They act like I am in their way instead of that I am one of the people paying their salaries . Otherwise, Publix has just about everything that I need and the cashiers are usually very friendly. The baggers, however need to learn not to put fruit on the bottom of the bags. read more

WOW what a contrast from this store and the one in Kingsland it is new, so it is very, very clean, the staff very nice and helpful. I asked where an item was the lady, I asked looked it up and told me where the item was and literally walked me to it. Unfortunately, none of those things happen in Kingsland. The selection is extremely robust, and the store has ample supply of items they like everyone on the planet run out of items from time to time but it isn't anything terrible. A great very clean parking lot and ample parking and even the carts are new and fancy. If in Yulee and you need a go to grocery store, I'd recommend you take a look for yourself and see this nice brand new store. LOL stay away from Publix in Kingsland they're a hot mess. read more

Pharmacy review I just got discharged from surgery and had a question about medication availability after calling three other places and being told the med I needed was out of stock. This is a new location across from Wildlight. It has the new Publix concept. You can order food at the deli and go upstairs to s cafe area to enjoy your food. The place is well laid out. I love the circled deli area which allows people to not have to stand in a long line. Parking lot was nice and clean. Everything was easy to find. read more

The food prices are like shopping in Hawaii. I bought chicken wings from the deli, got them home and they shorted me three wings after paying $15.99 for them several of them were under cooked and a few had feather quills in them. Totally unsatisfactory. For as much as Publix charges for groceries they should be excellent. Plus now they don't even take your groceries out anymore. I cannot recommend this store for deli or service. The store is clean but it's one of the worst Publix stores I've ever been in. read more

Highest prices on the island . Frequently out of what they advertised. Tole by several managers...too bad ,supply chain issues. Well they had every other brand of bacon , but not the one advertised for a decent price . They had every other brand of Brie , except the one BOGO ...of course ! A friend of mine who lives off the island noticed the prices are substantially higher than even the Publix in Yulee . She asked a manager at that store why. She was told that the Island Walk store has " island pricing ". You still save a lot , even with the price of gas , to shop at Harris Teeter. Owned by Kroger, the best grocery store ever , even their store brands are superior to the Publix brands . Even my three year old grandson will not drink the Publix orange juice and their dairy products are truly bad ! read more

Publix deli went above and beyond this morning!! A huge thank you to Chinesia Sykes!!! She was amazing. I had an idea this morning to surprise my husband's work family with lunch. I knew it was last minute and was so hoping for Publix deli subs. I walked up and Ms. Sykes asked if she could help me. I explained what I wanted and was informed they usually require 24 hours notice but give her a minute. She went and talked to the assembly crew. She had the most positive attitude! Ms, Sykes came back to inform me my order would be ready by 11:00. I was astonished. Came back early and picked up some beautiful St Patrick cupcake from the bakery and Ms. Sykes saw me. She said let me get our order. It was actually done early. Ms. Sykes has no idea how many people she put a smile on their face today. Mine for sure! I absolutely hate grocery shopping. However, I love going to Publix. Went yesterday for a sandwich and some wings. They were pretty busy but it gave me time to stand in line and observe. The manager working yesterday (pretty sure it was the store manager) was walking around working right along with his employees as I have often seen him do. He was walking quickly and cheerfully. He knew each employee by name and greeted them with a happy hello. Store is always clean. Staff is always kind. read more

Great supermarket w many helpful people. Having just moved here from "the nawth", my observations and criticisms would be 1) what's up with the bread aisle? In New England there are way more choices. If I didn't know better I'd say Pepperidge Farm, Arnold,& Sara Lee OWN Publix! 2) Publix mgmt needs to go visit a Wegman's. It's time to bring the format into the current century and use some of that massive square footage for more RTE foods. No matter what market I go to here, I'm dumbfounded by the lack of choices. Maybe it's just in things I'm used to buying. It's a super clean market, new, convenient. But a bit limited. Prices seem good and they certainly have "the thing you're looking for" just maybe not the brand or the wide selection. read more

This particular Publix is our go to store. We were very happy to see it open in this location a few years ago. Having been Publix customers and "family" (various family members employed by them over the years) we know all about their customer service philosophy and policies. The store is always clean and the staff more than willing to help you out, however....the Deli department is the only thing that can be hit or miss. We have had occasions where orders are not correct, which of course we don't discover until we get back home, and have to make another trip. Yes, their prices are a touch more than the competitors, but the cleanliness of the store and the customer service make it worth it. Free Wi-Fi is cool too! The parking lot can get hectic, so keep your eyes open and drivers.....pedestrians have the right of way! read more

You can never go wrong in this Publix. Publix in general is known for their superior customer service. While the prices can "seem" a little higher than say, some discount grocery stores, they more than make up for it in customer service and genuine empathy. At this particular store, it's almost like you grew up with these people. People actually go out of their way to remember your name and details about you. I think half the store beams whenever I walk in, almost like I am the CEO of the company. Sure, I may visit their deli at least twice a week and I'd like to think my pleasant demeanor helps, lol, but it's like you went to school with these employees and we're playing catch-up like we haven't seen each other in a while. I work near here and was gone for two years; I just got back and when I walked in it was almost like they rolled out the red carpet for me. Hugs, smiles, and applause from a lot of the employees I remembered makes my visiting this location all the more awesome. Even newer associates smile and seem genuinely glad to work here. Who wouldn't want to shop in an environment like that? This store definitely lives up to their slogan, "where shopping is a pleasure." read more

Been to Publix on and off the island thousands of time. No issues. Today, as the deli woman (Krystal) was preparing to cut my ham I asked her to please wipe off the slicer (it had roast beef all over it). That was all it took for her to go nuts. She looked at me like I was a monster, said 'I was going to clean it', and not in a nice way. She then wiped it down and started cutting the ham, all the time looking at me like she was boiling. She then took the ham and walked down to the left for 20, 30 seconds. Then came back, weighed the meat and handed me the package. I asked her to just leave it on the counter since we were getting more stuff. She would not put it down and held it up staring at me. My wife finally took it and since she wasn't there for the original confrontation, she wondered what was with the woman. Then the woman walked away and talked to someone else, looking as if she'd been hurt. Of course her fellow workers gave her pity and now I'm the bad guy. My wife was flabbergasted at the entire scene. I reported the entire thing to a manager (Ryan). In closing I would like to say that this woman is a discredit to the good name of Publix. She should never be in a position of customer facing. We paid for the ham, but threw it away since we had no idea why she walked a way with it, then came back. read more

Justin (the deli manager) went above and beyond to ensure our very large party platter order was taken care of, done right, and even delivered. He made the entire process so easy for my grandmother's wedding reception. We ordered over 20 platters and he even delivered our teas, potato salad, and more to make it as easy as possible on us. While we have come to expect great service from Publix employees, Justin was more than willing to do not only his job, but so much more. I love the customer service of the cashier and deli staff they are always so friendly and helpful. The produce is always fresh and I can find anything I need in this store. However, yesterday when in I intended to buy the 2 for $6 Mrs Meyers spray cleaner. I asked an associate that was in the dairy section if there were any left in the back and with an attitude she replies "I don't work in that section." I paused waiting for her to reply that she would find someone to help me.... I had to ask her if she can get someone who would know. Her attitude as she walked away insulted me. When another man came out he just scanned my item only to tell me there were none left and that I could still get the one for $3. Never did he offer me a rain check. My fault for not asking, but thinking about it this morning I decided to google if they do give rain checks..... they do. Being someone that worked for an establishment that offered rain checks back in the day, I ALWAYS offered our customers the opportunity to take a rain check so they could get their savings. Customer service is so important to me and for the most part this place DOES have it right. But I'm not happy with the "customer service" I received yesterday from the stocking staff. read more

This is the best grocery store in town by far. Always great customer service. Never as busy as the other local stores. Very spacious and well stocked. Love the BOGO sales and they take a lot of competitor coupons, as well as publix and manufacturer coupons. Ample parking. Overall great shopping experience every time I go (which is at least twice a week). read more
