This is by far my favorite children's boutique store in Sacramento. The quality of shoes, clothes, toys and books is wonderful. You get what you pay for, especially with kids shoes. Our Liv & Luca boots lasted a year (until my son grew out of them), but we are saving them for my second who is 3 years behind. The rain boots we bought, my son absolutely loves! We wears them all the time even though it hasn't rained for awhile and we are in summer. His previous boots I bought somewhere else and he said they hurt which is why I bought them at Puddles (Hatley brand). They are really nice quality. I also got a teether for my 7m old that looks like an Oreo cookie. To the reviewer about the return policy. It's a small boutique shop. I don't think they can just take returns after so many days without a loss. I'm not sure what the return or exchange policy is, but they tell you when you purchase. I know the clearance stuff is final sale, so maybe the gift was a final sale item. Lastly, the last time I was there, I was looking for a suit for my toddler. The suit in the store was a shorts version and the one on clearance was wool. It wasn't what I was looking for. The owner, suggested a brand (mod suit) that she didn't carry and said to look into them instead. She didn't have to tell me that, and I really appreciated the info. How do you measure that level of customer service? I don't know,but it's rare to find now-a-days. It's one of the reasons I will keep going back. I hope they stay in business a long time. read more

They have always had some on the most beautiful times for my baby girl ! Yes some things are expensive but at same time always great quality and or very unique been coming for years and I'll be back for years to come!! The customer service is always top tier ! I was running behind and needed only 1 thing it was only like 7 bucks and they stayed open late just so i can make it places just don't care enough to do that for small customers anymore this place did !! They have cute clothes from a few great brands. I love their imports from Europe, particularly Spain. Some of their brands have cute patterns, but the materials are on the lower side (polyester). I wish they would start prioritizing better brands, rather than fast (baby) fashion. The reason for the low review is that they sold me two left shoes. When I went to return them, they wouldn't accept a return or exchange since they were bought on sale. I found that to be pretty unacceptable, particularly for a small boutique. They shouldn't have sold me two left shoes in the first place, and I am frustrated that wouldn't exchange, return, or even find the right shoe. I will take my business to other small children's boutiques next time. read more

I only come on Yelp when I've truly received awful customer service, and I feel that others need to know! So this is one of those times. This was my 3rd time into Puddles, and I'm all about supporting local businesses, and keeping them running, but not when your treated in the way I have been. When I took my daughter and granddaughter into Puddles last month when they were visiting from Florida, the customer service was ok, but left feeling like we were trying to steal from the store. One of the sales associate's smelled of smoke when and in a baby store I'm sorry just not COOL! They weren't very pleasant throughout the shopping trip. I still ended up buying a few items. Today I needed to return the shoes I bought that my daughter left behind that didn't end up fitting my granddaughter. The old lady was the first one to be very unpleasant, and to be honest rude! She said "where is the box" and I tried to explain to her I didn't know because they were left behind at her father's house. She continued to tell me with a really smart ass ton "well I can't sell those without a box"- just completely rude and uncalled for! I've worked in retail for over 25 years and that was the rudest customer service response I've ever had. I will keep the shoes and give them to someone else that can fit into them. And for the the other sales associate she was believe it or not outside smoking. Needless to say, I will not ever go back, nor will I tell any of my friends to shop here. read more

The thing I like most about Puddles is that they have really cute clothing items and accessories that no other place has. When buying a gift, its nice to know that no one else is going to find my purchase at another store. The staff is really nice and very helpful and talked to me about what kind of gift would suit best for the age of the child I was buying a gift for and was more than happy to pull new items that werent on the floor yet for me to look at. The only thing I dont like about this place is the prices. I just cant fathom spending $70 on a infants onesie when they are going to grow out of it in a matter of months and quite possibly get puke/dribble/poop/food on it. I do however recommend this place to people who dont think price is an issue, have a special occasion where they want to get something unique or looking to buy a special present for someone who seems to have it all. read more

Aside from Nordstroms... I seriously have never had such great Customer service in a Boutique atmosphere. I'm not sure if Madi is the owner as I never asked her and I don't like to assume, but she's the only one I have ever dealt with and is SUPER sweet, patient and ALWAYS willing to help. Being a mom of two little girls under the age of three in a store full of cute and adorable clothing, shoes and accessories ... You definitely need a sale person with lots of these great qualities!! This is my place to go to when I can't find online or I just want something super cute and exclusive. The prices are on the higher end but to me I'd rather see what I'm purchasing in person than deal with all the extra cost of shipping that will ending up costing me the same at the end!! Horrible customer service This place is built to fail. Yea they have cute stuff but this isn't the only place you can get cute baby products. I Recieved a gift and went into the store to simply exchange. The lady behind the register was not very nice and absolutely refused an exchange. The gift was unopened so she can easily put it for sale again. I was going to take something else for the same value. So they wouldn't have taken a loss. Bad business model. I will never shop here again nor will I ever recommend the store to anyone. read more

I love this store! I ran into this place getting coffee at Peet's coffee next door. They have the cutest children's clothes. The clothes are timelessly cute and well made. They are the sort of items that you think someone must have hand made with great detail and had a great eye for color and design. If I ever need a present for child, this place is a sure bet. As an adult a lot women dream of going to Saks 5th ave (not the outlet), all I can say about Puddles is that they are the dream shop of little boys and girls everywhere. Walking in I just about melted at some of the cute clothes I saw hanging around the walls and the fact that sell vintage games adds a star in my book too. While they do tend to be a bit pricier than Walmart when shopping for special occasions or that outfit that will blow everyone's minds at Thanksgiving they have my vote. Whether it's sparkley, understated, or just plain cute Puddles is an amazing boutique and I can't wait until to visit again. read more
