All kinds of kids / baby items sold here, each size is decently stocked and clean. Customer service is okay, some friendlier than others. Selling here- don't expect more than one or two dollars for your items. Doesn't matter if it's books, backpacks, shoes, clothes. Or an item like an infant life-jacket. I Hoped for more for my items sold. So it's kind of hard for me to spend more than five dollars on an item, knowing that they only gave one to two dollars to the person that sold it to them. I only shop using their promotions, or buy only their clearance items. Still better than Goodwill prices. read more

This is the best OUAC in the Sacramento area for selling, in my opinion. They are friendly, and make the process very simple. I'd advise coming as early as possible, and having some things around the area to do. I've also bought some cute clothes there for great prices too. read more

If you have young kids, do yourself a favor and come here and save some money on clothes. There are used and new items here and they are at a fraction of the cost of brand new items. I've been able to find Jordan's, Nikes, adidas, Levi's, you name it! It is a resell store so when your kid grows out of their clothes, bring them back to resell! Bought a car toy for my son here before he started walking because I found out about this store and the prices are super reasonable so I was excited to buy this for him when he started walking more. Unfortunately, I did not test to see if it worked and I never used it since my son was not interested in it so I attempted to sell it back. I go to the front and tell the lady I want to sell back and they tested it by putting batteries in, I did not think much of it as I bought it and never used it. Well turns out the sound never worked on the toy so they did not want to take it back. I wish I would've known they sell stuff that does not work so I would've tested it ahead of time. They stated they have a "7 day policy" and would've refunded me if it was between that mark but no one told me there was a "7 day policy" nor did I think this toy did not work. Overall, bad experience not even a credit or apology and I paid $12. I know it's not a lot but it is a waste of money. Wow, tall skinny lady with black hair and glasses was so rude. Just went here today to sell a stroller and she looked me up and down when I walked in. No smile and looked away. One of the young girls working came to look for the manufacture date on the stroller couldn't find it and the other lady came over and just said yeah we can't take that. There was a sign on the door saying they were no longer buying for the day, but they changed their tune when they saw what we had brought in. The process of selling was quick and easy; however, based on what was offered (probably ~5% of market retail price) for excellent quality some designer items, in the future I would probably elect to and recommend others donate instead so that quality items can go to benefit another family directly. I didn't take a look at how much they were pricing items but hoping that the prices they offer are reasonable for buyers. read more

Cool store, but the staff ruined the experience. I tried to return some brand new, unused items, and they were super picky for no reason. On top of that, they acted like they were better than me -- really condescending and rude. It's a nice store, but the attitude from the staff was honestly awful. read more

Love how everything is discounted as babies go through clothes so fast. The only complaint is you cant sell back the clothes unless they want to buy it back and only specific items. Overall I would say check them out they have sales too. read more

Reviewing based on selling. While it is convenient to sell to Once Upon a Child to avoid online selling, the amount you receive in my opinion is very low. I brought in hundreds of dollars worth of Carter's clothing (including Carters baby costume and Carters wimsuits) in excellent condition, a jumper, 2 ride on cars, shoes, including Vans and Bear Paw, in excellent condition. They purchased a total of 98 items, including the jumper, ride on cars, and the shoes, and only offered $100. The same outfits I found that I had sold to them were selling anywhere from $6 to $10. I really felt undersold. I understand they're a business and need to make a profit, but as a parent of 5, this hurt. I now look to using Just Between Friends in Roseville. You get to sell all of your baby/child items and price them yourself! So you get to choose how much it sells for. Made so much more this way! read more

I love this store, huge selection and the price is really good! I wouldn't suggest selling to them as they don't accept a lot and don't pay that much for what they do buy from you. If you want to sell it's say Facebook marketplace or donate it. if I could leave a 0 I would. absolutely horrific customer service. Both workers I encountered were rude, hostile and lacking anything close to customer service. I drove 30 minutes to drop off an entire wardrobe of clothes and stroller. when I got there they told me it would be hours to get processed. After waiting for hours they said it was done and I could come pick it up but would not tell me how much they would give me for anything. when I got there they told me they would not give me anything for any of it because it was in plastic bags. an entire waste of time and gas money. would absolutely NEVER recommend giving them your business or wasting your time trying to sell anything here. read more

I normally don't write reviews but the young boy that's works there named Michael is extremely rude. Every time I go to this location he is extremely dismissive and doesn't greet the customers when they walk in. The staff is always having inappropriate conversations amongst each other behind the desk (almost flirty with each other) this location seems to hire young kids. Just recently I've had enough! I called this location to see if they had any rain boots and Michael told me in his exact words " I cannot go shopping for you" I get that they are busy especially during "buy times" but his response could've been more professional. After going back and forth over the phone with him he was extremely argumentative and dismissive! I've been coming here for years selling and buying stuff. The employees are always very friendly. The selling system is more updated now. They check you in with your license. They have my information on file, so I get text updates on what I'm selling. We always find something to buy when we go. The store is clean and organized. They have carts and baskets for you to use if needed. read more

She has found so many never used items with the original tag still intact. The employees are great and help whenever we have a question. Speedy checkout even when there is a line. A big OUAC location with great inventory and a better selection than the Roseville and Citrus Heights locations. The store smells a bit funky but serves its purpose well. Make sure you sign up for the rewards program and pick up the OUAC tote for additional savings and the like. read more

I bought ingenuity baby swing from them about month ago and the cord had already been broken which wasn't a big deal to me because it didn't affect the product and how it worked so I didn't say anything about it, my son out grew it fast, so I brought it back to resell it and I was told that they couldn't buy it for me because the cord was broken. I bought the swing from them with the cord already like that I was told they couldn't get anything for it. Please don't sell people broken items if you're not gonna take the items. Also brought in a whole bag of brand new baby clothes and was told they were stained which they weren't. How can you guys sleep at night knowing you're scamming people especially Mom's that are low income and are looking for clothes for their babies.. The kid is 4 and I'm over here trying to unload some strollers (yes, I have multiple) and a large plastic wagon. I was going to post to FB, but I really do not want any randos coming over to my home bc COVID, so I opted for Once Upon a Child. I had my Cybex stroller which was about $1,300 in 2016 and a wagon that the kid received one Christmas. Heads up: The most you can get for any one item is $200 at this store and the manager will low ball you. At this point I just didn't want this stuff in my garage. The manager gave me $75 for the stroller and another $25 for the wagon. If you want to get more money for your items, I recommend you sell them yourself and not here. read more

My 1 year old daughter was trying out a walker at the front of the store, simply just walking in it not being wild at all and she walked maybe a foot far just it when the entitled lady at the front came up to me and said "do you mind? she is obviously over the weight limit and I don't want her to break it". My daughter is 28 pounds and the weight limit was 35 pounds. I am posting here because of the terrible customer service. As an establishment this place is amazing and I love the store and the option to sell your clothes and purchase decent used clothes for your children at an affordable price. However, when you come here to SELL items, the treatment is terrible. I get that they are busy and it probably gets old with getting people walking in to sell clothes that you have to sort through all day. But my goodness, go find another way to release your pent up anger and frustration. Don't take it out on the people walking in there just to sell their clothes so they can afford to get their clothes kids more clothes. I have only dealt with the Arden area specifically so I don't know how customer service is at other places. but today I walked in and walked up to where the sign says - sell here - which I've sold there multiple times in the past, and every single time I have gone to that specific counter to check in. So I go to the counter and I sit there while there's about 5 women sorting through clothes and no one asks me -can I help you? - I stand there for about four minutes and then this Asian American woman finally glances over and says, "do you have a question?" in a very rude tone. I said I am looking to sell- and she, with an attitude, says " you need to check in over there - leave your stuff right there and go check in over there at the other register " as if I was supposed to already know that . I just think that she could use some patience and changing her tone of voice and rudeness but I'm pretty sure if I were to say anything they would all just back her up or she will defend herself treating me like I'm stupid so anyway, this is the only place I have to vent . Hope she realizes some day that she shouldn't treat customers that way! read more

Staff is difficult to work with. Stood in one line to sell a single pair of kids jeans. Was told I was in the wrong line and was redirected to the "selling line". Stood in the selling line for about 5 minutes before the gal looked at me and asked me to move to the next line over since she was busy. Stood in the 3rd line for about 10-15 minutes while the gal quietly worked tagging clothes. Mind you I was literally right in front of the counter basically staring her down the entire time. She finally looked up and acknowledged my presence and asked, "oh! are you waiting in line?" About 30 minutes total burned to sell a pair of brand new Abercrombie Kids jeans for a whopping $2.50. Next time I'll just donate to goodwill. Shorter wait time, better customer service, I don't really need the $2.50, the clothes will go to a good cause and it'll help me out on taxes at the end of the year :D read more

Had to haul in everything from my car with my 3 year old by my side. They watched me struggle through the door by myself, and just sat there. The feminism vibe is huge in that place as well. All the items we brought in were less than 3 years old and quality. The lady right away starts commenting on how "soiled" the items were when two of them were brand new. $850 total retail purchased by my wife and I between 2017-2018. I been going to this place for a while now, I know lately they have been overwhelmed with the amount of items they are receiving however I've tried a couple times to check in my items and I just haven't been able to make it before they stop taking items, due to having enough for the day. However today, (8/9/23) as I walked in with my items (12:30 pm) a girl approached me right away and asked what type of items I had. She seemed frustrated and spoke to me very rude, she was not even allowing to ask or say something to her before she said she couldn't accept one of my items. I understand they're probably overwhelmed but her attitude towards me was completely unnecessary. This store usually has a pretty good selection of clothes, probably the best Once Upon a Child in the area. I buy about 80% of my daughter's clothes here. Aisles are hard to navigate, but common to this chain and not terrible by any means. I go in pretty often since they first opened and almost never get good customer service. I often hear employees in friendly conversation with other customers so maybe it's just me? But the last several times I've been ready to pay, they ignore me while I wait in line and continue what they're doing until someone (a manager maybe?) tells a cashier to help me. You can usually find cute clothes, just don't take bad customer service personally (unless I should be?). read more

It's really unfortunate that I have to write this but I was in today and there was a really weird man walking around the store looking at the kids that were in the store and he said in passing to my friend "I'm lonely because I don't have a child in my life" as he roamed the store. He was waiting for them to buy the CHILDRENS CLOTHES he brought in to sell... and when I told the lady at the front she said "oh we've seen him before. We'll take care of it". He left after they bought some items from him.. be aware ladies. It was one of the creepiest things I've ever experienced in public. I watched him watch a little girl that he didn't know.
