The food was so bad I don't even know where to start. I ordered 4 mini chicken street tacos and they were the worst tacos I've ever had. The chicken was obviously frozen chicken breast tenders, not even cut up in to little pieces. They could have least made them look like street tacos. The chicken breast wasn't even seasoned :(. I also ordered 3 crispy tacos for my daughter and by the time we got home (5 mins away) they were drenched in so much liquid soon as we picked up the taco and fell apart immediately. I love their Tortilla soup, the best I've ever had!! Fresh and lots of meat. I order it without the tortilla chips in it. Great taste. Their rice, ehhh, had better, kinda dry. Their Quesadilla is Big and good! Service is good. Sometimes they give you your receipt and sometimes you have to just walk up to the register to cash out. I've gone here a dozen plus times over the past year. Last year the food was ehhhh, but the service was as good as Morton's. I think over the past couple of months they have either changed owners or management and hired one or two GOOD chefs. The beans are the best I've had to include Mexico. The rice is superb. If you get these both right your bound to have a good experience. Every meal I have had has been spectacular. My only criticism is the salsa's. Their are other places around with way better product. Please fix, and your restaurant could easily compete in the annual "Best Of" with San Antonio magazine. read more

This is the update on my first review, I really tried to give them a chance more than once but they continue to fail miserably. I came through their drive they for the last time. I was the only car and it took the guy five minutes to even come acknowledge me. I paid and asked him about how to get my food, he replied five minutes. I timed it, and it was 10minutes. Mind you, I ordered a kids meal that comes with one taco, rice and beans. The rice and beans are obviously pre-made. And I also ordered a torta, two pieces of bread with lettuce, tomatoes and chicken. The inside of the restaurant wasn't even busy, 4 cars max outside. Their carne guisada tastes like crap! I've been working in the area now for about 6 months and finally decided to give this place a try on my lunch break. I went inside and ordered my food to go which was a steak fajita lunch combo. The tea had an odd flavor to it that seemed as if it was either old or the containers had not been properly cleaned in some time. The steak on my fajita tacos was lacking flavor and was severely dry to the point where no amount of salsa could mask how dry it was. The rice was bland and seemed as if it had been re-used from the previous day. The charro beans were essentially the only thing I ended up eating out of my meal. I'm not sure if it was because it was a to-go order, or if it's like this all the time but with the selection of Mexican restaurants in the area I will most likely take my business elsewhere next time. read more

The food took forever for 2 of us. My husband ordered a fajita plate it didn't come with guacamole or sour cream so he asked for a side of each. I had the carne asada mini tacos and my wife had the beef fajita nachos. My tacos were bland with absolutely no flavor. The meat on the nachos was also bland and tough. This place just opened so I will be nice and cut them some slack while they work to improve their operations however I will point out some things they need to fix in order to become successful. 1. For "To Go" orders, give a utensil packet for each meal ordered (we only received 2 and ordered for 4 people) 2. Give more than 2 tortillas for a half-pound fajita order 3. Your Drive Through Menu has so much stuff on it that it is hard to read given the size of the sign. Breakfast Tacos were pretty good. I had the migas taco and the chilaquiles taco. I liked their migas at lot but they were quite skimpy. My wife had pancakes and eggs which were nothing special. My daughter had bean and cheese and liked them. We decided to try some non-breakfast items as well. I had the Beef Fajitas and my daughter had the cheese enchiladas and my wife had the chicken flautas. The cheese enchilada was a bit undercooked and the chicken flautas was bland with no seasoning. The beef fajitas were chewy and had very little flavor. I expect a lot of flavor from Jalisco style fajitas. They do give you lots of guacamole and lettuce and a dollop of pico. The highlight of the meal was the chips and queso. The queso is actually quite good and if you do not like very spicy queso, this one is perfect. They give you a lot of queso. In summary, for the price point this our experience shows that this was an average quality Mexican restaurant that is still working through minor operational issues from just opening. I give them 3 stars as I think their breakfast may be their draw however they will need to improve the flavor significantly on the rest of the menu to distinguish itself. read more

I eat here a few times a month sometimes just me and the wife other times it's the whole family. The food is always good and the wait staff is fast and curteous and friendly. I'd recommend the fajita nachos and the queso but you can't go wrong with any of your menu choices. Another great thing is they're never super busy so finding that perfect spot is easy. Restrooms are generally clean and sanitary as well. Overall I haven't ever had a bad experience here and their low prices and good food keep me and the family coming back. We have a number of Jalisco places that we frequent in San Antonio, and were glad this one popped up in our neighborhood, so we gave it a try. Ate there last night, and it will be the last time. Reasons: The folks were REAL NICE, but the service was choppy. There was too long of a time gap between receiving the first and second person's order. Sliverware was not provided at delivery of the orders, which came at different times. We had to ask for silverware each time. We were glad to see they had two-for-one margarita specials, so we went for it. The frozen and on-the-ice margaritas were made with a cheap mix, but they did have booze in them. The on-ice margarita was not cold; appeared that they put in a small amount of ice cubes on top at the end. The food: Bland and tasted odd. A stark departure from the San Antonio Jalisco we're used to. Chicken enchilada-- the meat inside was shredded, pink/brown and did not taste like chicken, but rather, some type of meat we used to eat in our Army rations. It definitely wasn't fresh at all. My wife left most of it on her plate. I tried it, and it was pretty bad. Jalisco burrito (carnitas)-- the meat was very shredded and perhaps boiled. It wasn't as strange as the chicken, but was pretty dry and lacked flavor. We're used to carnitas that are a little chunky and grilled. The green salsa was also very different from what we've had in many other Jaliscos; it was slightly "off" and wasn't very good. The tortilla chips were overdone, and had that slight burnt taste. So I think we're gonna have to find a new taqueria. We usually go to Jalisco's, but last week they had their kids running around screaming. And tonight we ordered a grill plate. They forgot the chicken. Basically a big plate of onions and bell peppers. Beans were cold. Rice was that crunchy burnt stuff from bottom of the pan. And waitress told us to stick to flour tortillas since the only corn they had was from the package. Incredibly slow service. Not one refill on drinks or chips. They ended up bringing us a chopped up chicken breast as we were leaving. When I went to pay the $60+ bill I asked if there was anything she could do because of the missing chicken and she said, well you got it eventually right. I asked to speak to a manager. This place has a lot of competition in this area, but it has become my "go to" place for good Mexican food. The portions are very generous and the prices are good considering all the food you get! The breakfast tacos are stuffed full and the plates have all been almost overflowing with food! I love that they put they lettuce and tomato on the side when I order a fajita. That way, the veggies aren't soggy & wilted by the time I get home. The staff is always very friendly. I love that there is a drive thru for the times I'm in a hurry. The only drawback is I wish that they would advertise their daily specials. We ate there last night and I asked the waitress if there was a daily special. Although he'll deny it, tonight was Bozo's pick. We were all 4 okay with Mexican food but at the last moment, Bozo hijacked the trip and we headed to Jalisco for Dinner. The parking lot was clean and empty at almost 7:00 on a Saturday night but we ventured in anyhow. The dining room was clean and the server was very professional but just from the initial impression, none of us was expecting to be wooed by what we were about to refer as dinner. We were right. The menu has a full selection to choose from and the prices were quite reasonable. Considering that the dining room had no more than 3 other tables occupied, we were surprised that the meals took about 25 minutes to prepare. The four servings were delivered on chipped plates and one meal... a salad took an additional 10 minutes. The enchiladas were more like soft tacos rolled over and covered with sauce. Not a baked enchilada by most accounts. The soup was cold and had very little taste for a tortilla soup. The chips were not very pleasing as they had that oily and burned taste if you know what I mean. Oh... that long awaited chicken salad was really bad. It tasted like the chicken was old, more than a day old to be honest. I really wouldn't recommend this place but it's not awful. Again, the staff is friendly and the place is clean but, the food is not worth the trip if you ask me. Bozo may have a different take. The wives both agree that we won't be back to Jalisco 2 in Cibolo. read more

Terrible service, the drive-thru works seemingly 25% of the time and the last time I tried to order to-go the phone was busy for 45 mins.
