This is my families favorite mexican food in our area. Tuesday taco specials & Thursday margarita specials cannot be beat. I also enjoy the margarita flights & quesabirria. (Its an app but I eat as a meal) My kids enjoy the chicken tender & fries meal. Waitresses are all super friendly and great with kids. Grace was an amazing server through and through. Super attentive even if we came in last minute. Great margaritas to sip on. The food was amazing especially the price of the tacos on Tuesday only paying less than $2 a taco is genuinely such a steal. Also the place feels so cozy and nice inside. Would highly recommend it. I have eaten here about 20 times now. I will not ever be going back. 3 of us went last friday. The restaurant was less than half full. We ordered. Service was slower than usual. Food came, rice for all 3 of us was ice cold. 2 out of 3 orders were wrong. Chicken fajitas came to the table luke warm, no sizzle, no steam. After a long wait waitress and manager came. Both argumentitive. Some food got fixed but it was a lousy experience and i am tired of paying high prices for bad, rude service and mediocre food. I will not ever be back. read more

Went here today for a late lunch, and it was the absolute worst dining I've ever experienced. The place was dead! No wonder why. There were maybe 2-3 tables of people here. Staff were all in the back at the servers station on their phones. No bartender. Food was microwaved and awful. Had to get up and track down our server multiple times just to get drinks refilled and get our bill. It wont be around much longer, and shouldn't be. read more

I had veggie tacos and they were fantastic. The gold margarita was very good as well. My son loved his food, too. We were sat quickly and the waitress was new but that wouldn't stop me from going back. It was clean, comfortable, and cute. I understand that kids will eat most anything but if you say "grilled cheese" take two minutes and make a GRILLED cheese. What you served my child was two pieces of toast with three slices of American cheese in between that wasn't even melted!!! Shame on you. And the nachos were nothing more than chips with cheese melted on top. Not even nacho cheese. Both of these dishes were $6.99 with rice served with the grilled cheese 'which was good'. But no side available for nachos. Service was great so that's why you got one. Won't be bringing kid there again. It's a shame because the adult food I have gotten has always been good. read more

My experience here was frustrating and disappointing. The waitress was polite but completely disinterested in helping us with the menu. I asked for carne asada steak tacos, and she warned me it didn't come with queso fresco. I clarified that I wanted carne asada steak tacos that did have queso fresco, and she pointed me to the dinner menu. I said, "Let's go big or go home" and accidentally pointed to the wrong dish. Instead of confirming, she just put the order in without any clarification. What I received was a whole steak with shrimp and no queso fresco--completely different from what I wanted. Had the meal been good, I would have accepted the mistake, but the steak was awful. It was so chewy and tough, it was practically inedible. When I mentioned the wrong order, only then did the waitress offer to help me with navigating the menu "for next time." It was incredibly frustrating because that assistance should have been offered before I ordered, not after the fact. The poor service combined with the bad steak made the whole experience a letdown. read more

My wife liked the quesadilla but said the rice beans should be on a separate plate so you can cut your food. It was a nice place but I thought the food was mid like my daughter would say. I got the nachos and they served shredded chicken which I am not a fan of. Prices are on the higher side for average food. I also noticed her beans were watery so not good. Chip and salsa were tasty. Service and atmosphere were good. I don't expect to return. read more

I had my baby shower here, which was fine upon calling. They called my friend back the day before and said there was a mistake to not set up some sort of buffet/catering type deal and they usually don't let people do this (come in a group of 15-20 I guess?) We get there and it was the owner and another girl taking care of us - it was so unorganized- people waited forever to get a simple drink- no refills at all- never refilled chips/salsa- they forgot my green salsa and never came back to check on our food after we got it so I couldn't even ask for it. They made sure they got their 18% gratuity tho! Food is basic- they have mushrooms in a lot of their food which is odd for Mexican. There's way better a short drive up to imlay city! read more

I have been disappointed the last two times we have been to this restaurant. The chicken they use is poor quality and is tasteless, my margarita was mostly sprite, and all of our food was cold. We love the chips and salsa and the beef entrees are good. The wait staff was great. read more

Very disappointed this visit. The Monster Burrito is usually amazing. The size is roughly the diameter of a softball and is wrapped in foil( for take out) because it couldn't fit in a to go box. This time it looked like a deflated tire and could fit in a regular size to go box with room to spare! A few months ago it was 11.99 now it is 14.99! Maybe a bad day for the cook? Maybe a new cook? I hope they get it figured out because I would hate to think this is the new normal. read more

Pueblo is in the regular rotation. Love the newer street tacos, the pazole, and the chiles rellenos. Great Mexican beers and solid prices. Fantastic service and good owners. Protip...ask for the salsa verde! A little spicier and very flavorful. read more

I've had mostly good experiences here. The food has always been good and no issues with takeout ever but every time we've ever dined in the service has been extremely slow. I assume it's maybe newer servers or something but there is just no hussle at all which when you have an antsy toddler who doesn't want to sit still for long makes it a difficult place to choose to dine in at. This is the first time eating here. I was greeted right away with friendly smile. The decor is pleasant and clean. First I ordered an appetizer ( Guacamole balls) pretty awesome i have to say. Guacamole is awesome. Deep-frying it double whammy..... Then ordered 4 different tacos, fish, shrimp, pork, pork belly. All were very good. This is not a Spanish speaking reastraunt but this place is awesome for the Lapeer Michigan. I would go back and eat there again definitely.... read more

I just wasted 40$. This is not Mexican food. It's not even Tex-Mex, it's bad Taco Bell food. Ordered the fajitas, specifically asked if they were cooked on the cast iron and come out on it. I was told yes-she lied. It looked boiled and tasted boiled. It wasn't sizzling and was just warm. So I asked her if they boiled the food then put it on the cast iron and she said, "we keep it in the steamer, then serve on it". So it's basically BOILED. Who wants boiled steak and shrimp??? Pissed. No flavor, just gross. Nothing had flavor, runny beans. No thanks! I will never eat there again. Do yourself a favor and drive to El Cozumel in Burton. read more

This place is great. Very good service. Food was excellent, they make their salsa daily and the green salsa is superb if you like spicy (Not quite jalapeno hot but very zesty and flavorful). It is obvious with every meal I have tried, that they put pride and care into the preparation. Yesterday we tried taco salads to go as we can't ever take a lunch hour at our job. They were huge, full of meat, and had a really great flavor. The only thing I would change would be a slightly larger container of sour cream on the side for to go orders. The standard cup size that goes with to go orders didn't even cover it. But that would be my only critique. Lately we've only been able to get to go meals and every time they are hot, fresh, and large in size. The only reason why I gave it a 2 was because of our service, she did an amazing job! The food how ever is NOT Mexican food. I am 100% Mexican and this food was not, the rice was very dry, my moms flautas where drenched in a red sauce, flautas are meant to be crunchy and hard. My michelada had no flavor and zero spice.
