This is our go to Mexican restaurant. We went on cinco de mayo and parking lot was packed and a long line for the drive through. Many door dashers and to go orders. But we grabbed a table right away and ordered drinks. All delicious. Chips and salsa are always on point and bc so busy, we had a second basket. I love they don't charge for them. Time to do a follow-up review. The restaurant seems to still be doing well even with the complaints about it being pricey. If you don't want to spend a lot, you don't have to. Just order a couple of a la carte street tacos, instead of the combos. The quality of the food here is better than any other LO area mexican restaurant. Quality costs money and the quality two months after opening is better than my initial review. If your stomach is winning over your wallet, order the fish tacos. They take a minute to make because they are fried fresh. It's worth it. Kids chicken tenders are still great. I also tried the Horchata to drink - loved it. My spouse drank the Jamaica juice and loved that, too. We will be back! read more

It's hard to find a good regular Mexican spot around here, and I happened to stumble upon this place completely by accident. I was pleasantly surprised and loved my food when I was here, and will definitely be back in the future. I guess this place just opened, and it's absolutely fabulous. The menu here is extensive, and they have a fabulous variety of items to choose from. I knew I wanted tacos, but had to see what they had before I ordered. What I like about their menu is you can adjust the combo meals to however many tacos that you want. You can also do a la carte as well, but the combo meal is the way to go. No, it doesn't include a drink, that's extra but the food portions are big and let me tell you, the refried beans and rice are really fabulous. After having eaten at a few different places, not all rice and beans are the same. Either their tasteless and bland, or to funky for me and what I'm looking for. Thank goodness this place does it right. In regards to the taco combination plate, you can get one, two or three tacos with rice and beans. I did the two tacos since three would be a little to much food for me. That one's $11.99, drinks are extra. The tacos were absolutely delicious, and the only other place that does the food right is Jose's tacos downtown. I'm not schlepping downtown to Jose's every single time I want a taco, so coming here is much easier for me, obviously. After tax and everything, my bill was $15 and some change. While this place isn't the cheapest, let me tell you, the foods spot on. Yes, if you want to save a few dollars go else where, but you kind of get what you pay for. Staff here is quick and efficient, and they even have a drive thru if you are pressed for time. Place is fast casual and really colorfully decorated. Plenty of seating and easy to spot from the road. My only complaint is the drink stations literally at the register. If they moved it over to another corner, that would be far better to prevent bottle necking and congestion. Worth every penny I spent here, and still thinking about the good food this morning after eating there yesterday. read more

Mexican restaurants are a dime a dozen, but Mexican restaurants that serve fresh, quality food that I feel was worth what I paid are a rare find. I wasn't sure what to expect at Snap Taco, but the restaurant was clean, the food was fresh, and I was impressed! It easily earned a place in my top-three list of my favorite Mexican food places, and I'll for sure be back. I had no idea what I wanted to order and the staff was SO friendly (hello, a huge part of the restaurant experience ). At first I saw the nacho but it just looked like too much for only me, and they offered to make a smaller one if I wanted even though different sizes aren't on the menu. I didn't end up going with nachos, but it was so kind of them to go out of their way to offer an accommodation when they really didn't have to! I ended up going with two tacos on flour tortillas--asada and carnitas, and they were equally wonderful. I also love that you can choose all your own toppings, order for there or to go, and my food was ready within 3 minutes. I look forward to going back and have already told my friends they have to try it! A fabulous addition to the Lake Orion/Oxford restaurant scene. read more
