Chicken taquitos

Okay let's start by saying I've ate there 4 times now and each time has been great. Finally time to leave a review. Now i know some places have better menu items than others. I've seen their tacos and i can already tell it's not my thing, however what I've been ordering has been stellar. The beans are out of this world. The service is always good and the food came out hot and fast. The chips were warm, the salsa was cold and flavorful. I can't literally find anything bad to say. This place is great. Even walking in you can smell the homemade Mexican smell. You know what i mean. Even a manager came by and asked how it was. I can't wait to go back

We arrived right when they opened. Rio seemed clean and bright with a lot of large tvs. We told our waiter that we were ready to order as soon as we sat down and he was ready to go. Our waiter was awesome. Drew was informative, kind and efficient. We told him we were in a little of a rush and he got our food out to us fast. Thanks Drew, you were awesome. We ordered the enchiladas suprema and a wet burrito bowl. The enchiladas suprema was awesome. If you are a cheese fan make sure you try this. The burrito bowl was excellent also. We enjoyed Rio and will be back soon. Thanks again Drew.

An empty fricking plate because that burrito was DELICIOUS!

Started off with Oberon with chips and salsa. Came with orange slices, OF COURSE! Grenade wet grilled steak burrito. Better than Mexican town. Fresh! I ordered jalapeños and they have quarter sliced longways in the burrito. Yes! My wife loved the grilled zucchini in the veggie street tacos. "Tastes like summer. Some of the best Mexican I've ever had!" The corn tortillas for the street tacos are made fresh in house. 5 stars all the way! Amazing food! We will be back!

Arguably the worst Mexican food I've ever had and some pretty bad service as well. My mom and I stopped in for dinner and immediately noticed the poor customer service and lack of any enthusiasm from the staff. They were very pushy and rushed us when ordering as well even though we'd just sat down. Prices are high for what you get. You can easily go to azteca or other local chains and get better food for cheaper. The tacos beans and rice had no type of flavour, the chips were bland and cold and the pop machine must've needed a syrup refill because it was essentially water. Not to mention the server turned the lights and music and Tv off on us even though we and another group of two were still eating. Like I get that you wanna go home, but you're never leaving right at close working in hospitality anyway. Just an overall bad experience, overpriced and horrible quality. I'll stick to Troy and Madison heights for Mexican food.

Coronarita....yes, please!

What a FANTASTIC spot for Mexican food and drinks. We stopped in after our 5k adventure and were amazed to see all the beers on tap. I think we were both in shock and awe! Tap, after Tap, after Tap.......I dont' think you can ever have too many beers on tap. haha This place was recommended to me by a local in the area. He said they have the best tacos around. Now, this is a very strong statement to make especially with a very "well known" Mexican restaurant just down the street. Of course, we had to check it out. Walking in the door, I was pleasantly surprised. I loved the large red booths and huge bar with plenty of seating. We ended up ordering a variety of tacos and shared them. Honestly, the fish taco might be the best fish taco we've ever tasted. The shrimp taco was equally delicious. If you are in the mood for an appetizer, the Queso, chips and salsa were great. I ended up ordering a margarita and he ordered a mojito. The cocktail list is just as extensive as the beers on tap. Rio on Main is quite a distance from my house, but we were so impressed by this place that I plan to make a special trip back with my son. He loves fajitas and these looked amazing coming out of the kitchen. I can't wait to come back....I'm already mapping out my next visit. haha BTW, Esmerelda is an amazing bartender! We enjoyed talking to her and learning about all the awesome food on the menu. You know its a great place when the employees RAVE about the food.

Food was so-so. Service was generally bad. Too many other good places to waste time here.

I think it used to be a Coney Island-style diner, but now it's serving up some seriously good deli food. I went in for breakfast but couldn't resist their savory, delicious-looking corned beef sandwiches. I ordered the New York Reuben -- piled high with corned beef, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing, all on an onion roll (you can choose your bread). This is my all-time favorite kind of sandwich, and I'm thrilled to finally find a place in the area that makes it -- and makes it right. It was absolutely fantastic. It's also great to see a local spot offering pastrami and carved-off-the-bone ham sandwiches. I can't wait to go back and try one of those next time. The service was excellent, the place was clean and charming, and the whole experience felt welcoming and genuine. If you're anywhere near Oxford and love a great deli sandwich, do yourself a favor and stop at Omega. Highly recommend!

We reside in Sterling Heights, by Lakeside Mall, where we are surrounded by lots of delicious restaurant options but we decided to explore the Oxford/Lapeer area and stopped at this Marios for a bite to eat. The prices are a bit on the high side but you certainly get what you pay for. The food is homemade and served at the proper temperature. I ordered the French Onion soup and loved it. The cheese atop the soup was smooth and not chewy. The broth, onions and even the croutons were cooked to perfection for this type of soup...ate/drank every bit of it. I also ordered the sweet potato fries and they were the best I have ever tasted. They were crispy and perfectly salted on the outside and soft/steamy on the inside...perfection! Mom had the country omelet. Mom had ice tea and I had coffee - our bill was $44.00 after tipping; a lot of $ in my opinion for two people to have brunch. The inside is very cozy with booths, tables and stools as sitting options. There are a couple of tv's with one or two of them NOT turned to sports...PTL and thank you. The service was excellent! Our server was very patient, knowledgeable and kind. My 86 yr mom has Parkinson's making her voice soft, decision making a challenge and often cranky because she misses her old self. Our server was very accommodating with my mom and with me as I can be running on a thin edge most of the time, lol. We loved it and hope to return soon.

But honestly, the highlight of our night was Sarah. The place was busy and a bit understaffed. We had to wait for the kitchen to catch-up before we were seated. Hey, it happens. But Sarah our waitress apologized for the wait, took our drink orders and eventually our orders with a great smile and an even better attitude. Our orders were wrong from the kitchen and half of our food either went to another table or got lost... Who knows!? But man Sarah was on top of it. She had them redo our entire order which finally came out right & fresh. We didn't mind so much cause we were so into the soccer match but man Sarah checked on us, kept our drinks full, I got my free birthday wings. She worked it out that I got the big cookie and ice cream for our trouble. I'm glad this is our local B-Dubs and they hire great servers like Sarah. In the restaurant business things happen, long lines, short staff, messed up orders etc. But great staff, empathy a smile and amazing service ~ you earn repeat happy customers, who write reviews that champion your employees. Can't say enough about how Sarah turned a good night out into a great one, worth writing about. Thanx Sarah. Wish you all the best and hope we get you on our next visit. ~ Mo
