It was a clean zoo, and there was like no one there because we went on a Wednesday. But there was almost no animals, we couldn't find half of them and there was like one animal per cage. We paid $15 per person which isn't bad. But I wouldn't come here again, especially for how far I drove. If I lived near here then maybe I would come, but I don't think it's worth the time or money. This review is about the Christmas lights, "Electric Critters", set up at the zoo. Pretty great - good on you Pueblo Zoo Volunteers! It was so nice to see knowing that many of the displays were "built" by local volunteers! The weather has been good so walking through the light show was very enjoyable! Vert reasonably priced too ! $9 for adults and $7 for children (under 2 - free) If you haven't been - go - take the whole family! Grandma and Grandpa will enjoy as well! So Holiday!! So Bright!! Super cute zoo located in the heart of Pueblo. When you first walk in it dosent look like much but when you start to go in farther you'll realize it's actually quite big. Decent amount of animals to see, the Red Pandas were my absolute favorite! The zoo staff is very passionate about what they do you can tell by how well they love and take care of the animals there. The zoo grounds are really spacious, not crowded and relaxing with nice grass areas and shade. They also have an outdoor play ground and picnic rest areas with shade and heaters for those colder days. This is definitely a super cute zoo and we had a great time. read more

I love the Zoo! We have a family membership plus a guest so we can take a friend when we go. Totally worth the cost if you go to the zoo more than twice a year. 4 stars only because we could have more exhibits and the hours are kind of minimal. read more

Prices reflect the quality of the zoo. It's a small town, small zoo, with inexpensive pricing. My younger kids enjoy the atmosphere. Its worth the annual family pass to get out and walk around periodically. read more

Went to zoo lights tonight. You really need to come see it. 9 dollars for adults is a steal for the family getaway. They sell 3 d glasses 2 bucks and light up wants under 9 bucks . Take your family her it's just the right size for family time. read more

We tried the Pueblo Zoo on a whim because we are originally from Denver and are used to the Denver Zoo but wow the Kids love the Pueblo Zoo. Clean safe and fun are always what a mom always looks for and this zoo has that. A good place to meet up with other moms and have a great afternoon. This places was nothing to brag about. None of the animals were out. Didn't see any staff to ask if this was normal. We stopped by the cafe. And they had NO sandwiches on a Saturday?! We got a pretzel and it wasn't even warm. We didn't even finish it. The drink was a small red cup and she said refills were free, so we went back with our little red souvenir cup and she was going to charge us $2 for a refill... Was more of a open park with low chances of seeing an animal.. don't plan on visiting or recommending this place to anyone! read more

This zoo was a great experience for my whole family! My daughter was intrigued by the friendly peacocks. Now she wants one! The gibbons monkeys were awesome! They were super active and howling like crazy. The zoo was also very clean and looked very well maintained. All the animals seemed healthy and happy. read more

The Zoo!! Don't expect your typical huge zoo filled with 100's and 100's of animals. Expect an awesome, exciting zoo filled with just enough! I grew up coming to this zoo, and have been to the much larger zoo's (Denver and San Diego) and this zoo is just perfect in my eyes! Especially for the price (Adults $10 Children $8)! At first I was like.... the price didn't match the size, but, the adventure and what you make of it makes it all worth it! The zoo offers a wide array of different birds, farm animals, otters (including Thelma, the 3 legged otter!), peacocks, piggies, PENGUINS!, and so many more! Soon they'll have the African Painted Dogs! The zoo although small, hosts enough areas to enjoy the day with your loved ones. The facts for the animals are awesome, since you can actually learn about them and not just look at them and not know what their names are! Now living in Vegas, I took the little zoo for granted and on our recent trip back, I sat back and had a great adventure with my little dude! Come here for a clean and fun adventure! Yay! read more

Theres no reason the prices should be as expensive as they are if half the zoo is going to be shut down. I understand places like this must accommodate to stop the spread of COVID 19, but it doesn't make sense why all 3 animal buildings were closed off as the animals are behind glass and have 0 contact with visitors, which is the reasoning stated on signs as to why they are closed. As a result our trip to the zoo was cut in half and we were still charged the same price as if the place was fully open! Same price for half the experience! It also means that we had to deal with the unbearable summer heat without anywhere to cool down and look at more cute animals. I recommend waiting to come to this zoo until its fully open again or at the very least the prices are lowered to match how much of the zoo you get to actually enjoy. read more

We made the drive from Fort Collins and will go back again. Terrific staff who introduced us to penguins, red pandas and three river otters, easily and enthusiastically handled all our questions and even offered off-site lunch recommendations. We expected a quick visit but ended up staying for 4 hours. Kids have seen the Denver Zoo several times, loved the aquarium back in Chicago, etc. This is a very different experience. If you're interested in animals and getting a front row seat to seeing them, and can live without a theme park atmosphere, you'll love this place, as we did. read more

Not a big zoo compare to San Diego zoo. It felt more a walk in a large park but with exotic animals which is a good thing. It was peaceful and we didnt fight any crowds.We came in the morning in time to actually see animals walking around. Very quiet zoo with a huge playground/kiddie ride/lake next door. There were also quarter dispenser of animal pellets to feed chicken, geese, and ducks . In the mornings you can get goat/Llama treat to feed them with. All the zoo staff were polite and sweet. We spent a wonderful 4 hours exploring this small city zoo. You don't have to feel rushed to get to the next exhibit. I saw a few animals that I haven't seen at the larger zoos (Takin and loris anyone?). Bathrooms and drinking fountains are clean. It was a nice January day and the keepers brought out a chinchilla in an exercise ball and a hedgehog was sauntering near the entrance. These folks were friendly and accessible. The zoo is tucked in a city park with a playground, skate park, frisbee golf and tiny kiddy amusement park. Parking was easy and my husband was able to run back to the car and grab our picnic lunch. Our 2 teenagers enjoyed the gibbons, lemurs, squirrel monkeys and cockatoos. read more

Drove all the way from alamoso to find the zoo was closed. It closes at 3. Like wtf animals don't go to bed at 3:30?!?! Very upsetting. Other than that parking lot was great nice and even lines, also saw a sick Kawasaki that was lime green it sounded awful tho.
