We started another warranty claim and JBak came out again and mentioned that our heat pump unit would need replaced. 2 weeks went by, and we had not heard from JBak. We called 4-6 times, and I personally left 3 voicemails. NO RETURNED CALLS EVER. I ended up reaching out to our warranty company and they had also reached out several times and NO RETURN CALLS. Our warranty company then emailed JBak. We were told by our home warranty company if they did not get a response within 48 hours, they would dispatch out ANOTHER HVAC company. This is AFTER 2 1/2 weeks of no AC. We have my mother-in-law in the home who was hospitalized for a stroke a month and a half ago and was taken back to the ER last week. The heat is getting to her. We have also had to purchase $1,000 worth of window AC's & portable air conditioners to keep our home cool. I would NOT RECOMMEND JBAK HVAC to anyone. They have truly made this process a NIGHTMARE! All on top of VERY HOT temperatures outside and VERY HIGH heat indexes. JBak you have to do better!

I searched on google for HVAC repair companies near me and started at the top of the list and worked my way down, calling after 5PM on a Friday. Jason was the first person to answer, so I went with him. Horrible mistake that I thoroughly regret. He came out to diagnose the problem and replaced the fan on my unit noting it burnt out. He charged me over $950 to do it and it didn't resolve my issue. When the fan motor burnt out again a few weeks later, he said it was a faulty motor and replaced it again. a few days later, the fan motor went out and the whole time we did not have functioning AC. Jason came out again and he said I had an electrical issue and that was causing my problem. I then hired an electrician to do a supply swap and spent over $7,000 on the project. After all of that, my AC unit still was not working. Finally I called a different HVAC company and when they came out to diagnose my problem, they found out that JBAK put the wrong size motor on my unit. The fan was too powerful for my unit and not throwing off the heat properly which would cause my unit to overheat and shut off, eventually burning the fan motor out. Beware and proceed with caution when thinking about hiring JBAK.

M&M charged me each and every time they attempted to service this furnace between November and January, and charged me to replace the working thermostat. Still, when the furnace failed hours after their latest attempt, I contacted their emergency weekend services, but was never called back. Unfortunately we had A&W install a mini split system. We found out too late that the equipment they…read moresold us shouldn't have been sold or installed in this climate. The company made installation errors, only correcting one of many. These errors resulted in high electrical bills because our water pipes froze ...due to the mini splits failure, shutting down in the sub zero temps. All promises were lies from their sales team. It was hard to get them to come in with the warranty to fix problems. The system shut down in the cold multiple times last winter. They wanted to blame all of this on cleaning issues, however the units (we have 5) were all actively leaking coolant. We eventually had to call another company to help us... The other company was surprised by the shotty work done by A&W, and that they would have sold us the mini splits we still have and will need to add heaters to in order to get by again this winter. Please do yourself a favor and find another group... This was stressful, freezing, and a huge money pit trying to figure this whole mess out.
