Me,My cousin & our friend really wanted a slice of NYC pizza. John & Joe's closes @ midnight. It's one of my cousin's & mines fave spots since we were kids. We ordered ahead of time for to go. When we got there the pizza was already done. We decided to eat in b/c my cousin lives too far. I love my pizza piping hot & so does our friend. The workers were nice to us & bought our pie out to our table. It's small inside but cozy enough.

Exploring the area I normally ask Yelp what's good ? But today I decided to ask a local what's your favorite pizza spot ? The Bronx is where it's at! This restaurant was recommended by a local Irwin Rock. He told me to never believe what they write online so Thank you for the recommendation. There is ample parking at this location. Use the park NYC app to explore the neighborhood it's a Corner spot with tons of parking $17 for a one topping pie. After eating I would pay 2x for reals for reals . Made to order freshly prepared 20 min Open kitchen and the dough he was prepping looked out of this world. I was gonna get a slice at first to try but I overheard this gentleman talking about the golden days to another patron that was when I knew I had to go for the whole pie. From my observation dude is reputable cuz the pie was fire! Sheesh ! Supreme If heaven served a pie it definitely came from Here. Brother John and Brother Joe and staff thank you for serving a damn good pie

You will not find a single person locally who hasn't eaten from here for good reasons, this is a long standing pizza place and it definitely shows with the old school aesthetics inside. They have the best priced garlic knots, it's really hard to beat the 10 for $1 they have kept. They have an extremely large menu There are a lot of employees in the store working at once. The owners are extremely friendly and are fun to talk with if not in a rush. They have a strong connection with the local community.

Can you tell just how much this kid of mine loves pizza at John and Joes pizzaria??? Man oh man. Every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, after his after school ...its always Gramma please!!!! Take me to the pizza store to sit and eat that delicious pizza. My this spot had been so good to my family 20 years now and counting!! God bless this owner.

Orderered the spaguetti with meatballs. The spaguetti was fine but the 2 meatballs were mushy and bland. Meatballs are not fried. Waste of money.

This is my neighborhood pizza spot. Well you can get 10 garlic knots for 1$!!! Beat that, and let me tell you these are not ordinary knots, they are fresh done well and crispy! Their plain pizza slices are good, I am not a big cheese aficionado, but still get them once in a while. Good crust and fresh. If you ever in this place, you will know that they serve it right and fresh!

The GOAT of Bronx Pizza. Period…read more If you want to know what real New York City pizza is supposed to taste like, stop looking and get to Louie & Ernie's on Crosby Ave. This isn't just a meal; it's a Bronx institution. The Vibe: Old School & Authentic This place is as "old school" as it gets. It's located in the basement of a house, and walking in feels like stepping back into 1959. There are no fancy decorations or "artisanal" gimmicks--just the smell of fresh dough and a gas oven that's probably seen more history than most museums. * Pro Tip: It is CASH ONLY. Don't be that person who gets to the counter with a card; come prepared. The Pizza: The Best in the Bronx I've had a lot of pizza, but this is easily the best in the borough. * The Crust: Paper-thin, perfectly salty, and has that signature "Bronx fold" with just the right amount of char on the bottom. * The Sausage: This is their claim to fame. They use huge, fresh chunks of sausage that are packed with flavor. It's heavy, it's greasy in the best way possible, and it's legendary. * The Sauce/Cheese: The ratio is perfection. The sauce is tangy and bright, and the mozzarella is creamy and never "rubbery." The Service The staff here are exactly what you want in a legendary neighborhood spot--friendly, fast, and no-nonsense. They keep the line moving, but they treat you like a regular even if it's your first time. Verdict: 10/10. It's simple, it's classic, and it's the king of the Bronx. If you haven't been, you're doing NYC wrong.

Unfortunately, the food I ate fell very short of my expectations. I ordered a few slices of both their regular pizza and Sicilian. The Sicilian slices barely had any sauce and too much dough that was not flavorful at all. The cheese did not taste that good either. The regular pizza slices also lacked flavor and sauce. They were also too thin and the crust was only a little crispy. The fresh mozzarella and tomato slice tasted the worst while the slice with pepperoni was somewhat better. I'm not sure if my experience with this restaurant is an outlier, but I was very disappointed with their food. If I am ever in the area where this pizzeria is located, maybe I might stop in to get a slice to see if eating in person leads to a better experience.

I enjoy the Chicken Parm, Meatballs, Pizza, Mozzarella Sticks & deserts! I definitely have a thing for their Vodka sauce too How's the food? The meatballs are so good.. Tender.. They fall apart which I like. Not big on huge, dense meatballs anyway.. These things taste amazing! You gotta try them.. The Chicken Parm with spaghetti in Vodka Sauce is one of my favorites dishes The chicken is nice and tender, sauce has a great flavor, cheese is nice and melted, pasta perfectly cooked and it's a pretty big portion! The Mozzarella Sticks are like no other! I'm telling you! They make them fresh on-site.. Not store bought frozen sticks where the cheese pops out the casing.. These things are the real deal.. The cheese is stringy, well melted.. And they're pretty big.. They don't skimp.. Good for like 2-3 people.. I can only eat one myself.. The Pizzas are pretty good too! I really enjoy the entry dishes but if I'm with a group, I'll get a pizza to share. They're pretty small anyway. My favorite dessert is the Conollis! They have a nice airy, light casing.. The ricotta filling is so flavorful and fluffy.. So on point The service staff is always welcoming, accommodating and super cool. Really good crew. The place itself is so chill. Layback atmosphere, some really cool music plays in the background, classic Hip Hop, Funk/Soul breaks and more.. historical art decor fills the walls and vibes are always right in the spot. Might even have some games on the TVs.. great spot altogether.. You can see the Pizza cook in their fire oven.. Pretty cool I think. So if you're looking for a really cool spot to munch at in the Bronx Kingsbridge Neighborhood, you should definitely check out Kingsbridge Social Club. It's a vibe! Have a good one yall! -Ray

It turned out to be one of the best recommendations we've received. My mom, my daughter, and I absolutely loved our experience. The food was outstanding, the wine was excellent, and every dish was full of authentic Italian flavor. We arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but the staff welcomed us with a smile and never made us feel rushed. Instead, they took the time to recommend some of their favorite dishes, and every suggestion was delicious. What made the evening even more special was how kind and attentive they were to my daughter. Their hospitality was exceptional and made us feel truly welcome. If you're visiting Arthur Avenue and looking for authentic Italian cuisine with outstanding service, Zero Otto Nove is a restaurant I highly recommend. The chicken was so tender I barely needed a knife, and the wine had me looking around for a Vespa to ride back to the Bronx. The service was fantastic friendly, attentive, and patient enough to let me butcher every Italian word on the menu without judging me. At least not out loud.
