We had gone to other rental places and they were not as clean, or as organized as their showroom. I really appreciated being able to see first hand each piece of rental to make the best choice. Had an appointment at 10:30 for a viewing of some items I'd prefer seeing the condition of in person it's now 10 minutes PAST my appointment time I've called their number at least 12 times since 0900 am , just to be called as I'm writing this review for her to tell me that she didn't even have me on schedule (mind you I made this appointment with her about three weeks ago) and that she was busy at an event but could see me in 20 minutes ( just for her to STILL NOT BE HERE 30 minutes later ) . I take professionalism in a business as a big thing, and this just left a very bad taste in my mouth. Maybe this review will be updated in the event if I choose to go forward with them but at this point I just feel like how can I trust you to show up to my party on time and have me on schedule if you can't even keep to a viewing appointment on time and on schedule?? I'm sure the items they have inside are beautiful, etc. but professionalism and trustworthiness in a business is a big thing . If I could leave a 0 I would! I've been price-matching several locations, and all have been extremely nice. I've called this location SEVEN TIMES during business hours throughout two weeks. Finally got an answer on the eighth try to find out that the woman answering the phone was EXTREMELY rude and knew zero about customer service. I was warned by a friend who used them for their company that they showed up an hour late and with the wrong tables and were rude to them like THEY were the ones that made the mistake. I know they can't keep afloat constantly changing locations of their show room. So I tried to be understanding and assumed they were just having an off day so despite my better judgment I attempted to use their service and was completely blown away. I 100% would not recommend it!!!!!!! *****By her obnoxious and rude response you can clearly tell why there are so many reviews on bad customer service alone. She didn't understand the reason I was calling was that I sent another request in for an order that was barely short of the minimum she was claiming to have to deliver. Which was $1000. That's why I was trying to speak to someone but she claims it was so hard to drive up to Lytle Creek when none of my other rental services for the event have complained once are charged me anything extra. (including another box truck) I totally would have said no thank you or that I'd get back to her, but she was rude from the very beginning before there was even an issue. I had a very unpleasant and unprofessional interaction with the ( Manager's wife). I have rented from this company before I've had zero issues I even placed an order with the manager who was professional and accommodating. I had been trying to get a hold of someone for a week, left a voice message and even replied to the text messages they send out when they don't answer. I did manage to get someone on the phone but told me I needed to reach a minimum and to call back when I was ready to add more to my order. I was totally ok with it and called back less than an hour later during business hours and didn't get an answer. I called back the next day no answer only a text back that seems to be an automated text. Someone did reply said they would call me back, I ended calling again and when they responded the woman who answer was EXTREMELY RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL and HOSTILE. I then asked her if the person I spoke to last who a man was the manager by any chance and she responds " yes that la my husband why?" I told her because he was actually professional and friendly and I was taken back by how rude she was being then she starts saying that it's because I had been calling and she's busy. So that makes it ok to be rude to customers when a customer to trying to get a hold of someone from the company? I told her I had been trying to get a hold of someone for a week and I even responded to the messages they send out and she said " yeah those are automated messages honey" what kind of business owner speaks like that to a customer? Then she started to raise her voice at me and get loud was not letting me get a word in and kept cutting me off. I had to tell her to cancel my order because there was no way I felt comfortable renting from them after that horrible interactions. I have even recommended them to friends to rent from them because I have had positive interactions in the past with the manager and another woman. I will NEVER rent from this company again just because she's the managers wife it gives her the right to be rude??? I recently rented tables and chairs for a graduation party at my home. The order process went smoothly and the delivery went well. They delivered on a Friday and the pickup was on Monday. I even paid an extra fee to have them delivered up 10 stairs that are in the backyard. Upon pickup as the truck was being backed into my driveway they backed into my opened gate. They immediately stopped and drove forward then at that point the passenger got out and guided the driver up the driveway. We provided them with a video showing this but because of lighting and angles it didn't show the exact contact that the truck made with the gate. We provided another video that showed the truck backing up and the sound the contact made when the truck hit the gate but these videos did not seem to be enough for Tim to believe that their drivers were at fault. We provided pictures of the damage to the gate as well. We had agreed to have them bring back the truck so that we can show him where the truck must have hit as it was backing into the driveway but he has not responded with a date/time. We are not looking to get a new gate, we just want the dented section of the gate fixed. Unfortunately, I will not be using PUAC for any future event nor will I recommend them. read more

Such a disappointment and glad I caught this before actually hiring this company. When I called, I asked for a quote for 60X100 clear tent, and the sales person told me that they combine the tents to create a 60X100. She indicated she needed to speak to her crew to give me a proposal. The quote was extremely expensive and to make matters worst, the sales person was RUDE! I called her numerous times with questions and was completely taken by surprise that in all our conversations, the sales person failed to tell me they were quoting me a smaller tent! She was very clear that once I gave a deposit there was no option to cancel and I would be responsible for the entire amount, so I asked if this was their only clear tent, or if they had multiple clear tents so I could figure out how quickly I would have to decide, and she told me they multiple. After a few more calls, I noticed that I only saw a 40X100 tent and asked if there was a 2nd tent for 20X100 based on our previous conversation she just said, that was all they had available on that day and that their 60X100 was already rented out. I was shocked at her answer, this is not what she had told me previously, so the moment I said, Wow! That's a lot of money and not the size we discussed, I got a message on the proposal that the sales rep had cancelled the quote!!!!! Horrible customer service. Will never give them my business again. We rented tables and chairs for my bridal shower to be delivered the day before the event. They were scheduled to drop off at 1230pm, when 230pm rolled around and they still hadn't delivered we called and asked for an update. We were met with a rude remark that they were very busy but we were next on their drop off schedule and they had until 6pm for drop off anyway. After 5pm we are getting nervous (since they said we were "next" on their schedule) so we called just for another update but no one answered. Finally at 552pm they drop off the items. They looked great so we are happy! We asked the delivery men what time we should expect them for pick up he said around 2the next day, we asked if they could come closer to 3 since our event was at 11. He said fine and we all went on our happy way. When the even finished we hurried with tear down to make sure everything was ready for pick up. 3 rolls around no one shows, 4 then 5 then 6 no one shows and again, no one will take our calls. Sunday we try to get a hold of them, we call, email, text finally we hear back from "the lady". She then proceeds to berate my mother on the phone saying they don't work on Sunday's and she was doing us a courtesy by calling us and talking to us. We explain that we talked to the delivery drivers about pick up and she said "they just work for me they don't have a say in my business and they barely speak English". We were told to read our contract it says pickup is Monday. So bad on us for not verifying. But the level of customer service is unforgivable. I will never order from, suggest, or advise anyone to use this business again. To be told that your party is on Saturday what does it matter what time we drop off on Friday is highly unprofessional. I cannot express my distaste enough for this woman who spoke to my mother that way and left her in tears. Never again. read more

They provided rentals for two events this year and both times all the tables and chairs were delivered very clean and in great shape. Please don't do yourself a disservice of ignoring bad and current reviews for this company like I did. My fiancée and I picked "Pull Up A Chair" for our wedding. I called the company and spoke with them on the phone a couple times and emailed back and forth while also looking at other companies. We decided to go with "Pull Up A Chair." After we had signed the contract and fully paid for our quote they decided to call me a let me know that they forgot to include chairs and would have to charge us and additional $400 dollars. We told them this was not acceptable and their compromise was to keep our money we paid; and to make up the difference by removing $400 worth of other items on our quote such as cocktail tables. Needless to say we were not happy with this solution and told them that we would like to cancel our order entirely and receive a full refund. They said they would only refund 80% of our order. I pointed out to them in their contract and on their website their cancelation policy which states if your request to cancel is made (8) days ahead of your event you will get full refund and no fees. Our request was made 4 weeks ahead and even when I pointed out that they were not following their own policies they refused to give us a full refund. Needless to say like many other reviewers have said "Pull Up A Chair's" customer service is some of the worst to deal with. They act polite and professional until you sign the contract. I would never recommend this company to a friend. I am super glad we decided to go with a different company and not risk our big day being ruined by their shenanigans and unpreparedness. I recently used this company for specifically a tent for my wedding! I found this company though word of mouth due to another vendor canceling the tent on me. From start to finish I have nothing but great things to say. Every time I emailed I received quick responses. They delivered the tent Thursday morning and the men they had their setting up were so nice and sweet to the homeowner. I also was told whoever came to pick up on Monday was also super nice as well. Of all the places I had looked into, they were the most affordable. They delivered promptly and picked up quickly as well. We needed to rent a bunch of things for our backyard wedding. I was searching for farmhouse tables and I had found Pull Up A Chair and their prices were reasonable for everything. I made an appointment to meet and see what we needed. We met with Dawn and she was friendly. Everything came on time and the guys set up the tent. We had the rental for a few days so this gave us a good window to set up and break down. We were not going to be home the day they were going to pick everything up so we made sure to lay everything out so they wouldn't forget anything. When I came home that day I noticed that they had left their extension cord as well as two drink dispenser holders. I thought it was strange that they would leave them in our backyard when we had the two pieces with all the other things. The next day I get a call from Dawn saying they really need them back because they're part of a set or else she's going to charge me for them. I called her back saying her guys left them in my backyard, she asked if they were put back in the original box. (I didn't know everything had to be put back in the original packaging or else they just wouldn't even take it) so I said no they were not because I honestly didn't know what box they belonged in. After the wedding was over, our place was a mess, there were boxes everywhere. Anyways, we tried our best to put back everything where they belonged but just because we missed two things, the guys just decide to leave them here and it's our responsibility to drive an hour to their location to drop it off or else we'll be charged. And dawn was not very friendly about it, I had also told her they left an extension cord here and she acted dumb founded and said why did they even have an extension cord?? I told her they used it for the fans attached to the tent. And then *click* either she hung up or the call got dropped but I never got a call back. It's just always funny to me how friendly people can be before business is done but after, it's a whole different story. So if you do rent from them, PUT EVERYTHING BACK IN THEIR BOXES or else they won't even take them and instead charge you. read more

We recently rented a 20x20 tent, White resin folding chairs, tables and Chiavari Chair - Gold with pads from this company for our daughters backyard wedding this past weekend. I have to say they are such a professional company with really personal service. They are very easy to work with and were willing to accommodate our needs from Dawn one of the owners to Philo and assistant the delivery and pick up crew . The quality of product is first class. The Philo and his assistant were wonderful to work with and a true testament to customer service. It is quite clear they are proud of working for this company. It is clear nobody communicates with each other because they do not know who even drew up an estimate. Dawn the owner hung up on me because I was upset that her and Sarah were both talking over me when I tried to explain that the original person I talked to said there would not be an extra fee for a same day delivery. I tried over 3 days to get this resolved and in the end I was told to get my rentals elsewhere. This is an elementary school dance and they were unwilling to help. Emails went unanswered, a return call that was promised to me was never made and when I called during business hours the phone doesn't get answered. I had an outdoor wedding but with the weather being so unpredictable we made a LAST min decision to add a tent. I'm talking bout last min, the day before my wedding. Lucky for me they even had one in stock. It was such a short notice.. they came out that night before while it was raining and set it up. They did such a good job and at a great price. Let me first start by saying that I hate giving poor reviews, but I decided before I planned my wedding that I would review all my vendors because it is hard to find good vendors when planning a wedding. Tim and Dawn-Marie are very nice people and I truly believe that they mean well. Unfortunately they are just very unprofessional and disorganized. I had the hardest time getting in touch with them. It would take weeks to get a phone call or email returned and usually it took me following up several times. They forgot to show up for the final walk through at the venue and I had to call them and wait for them to come. They had also promised to bring my napkins to the walk-through because I wanted to fold them a special way. They forgot the napkins and I had to go get them myself which was a hassle. The delivery of our rental items was a hot mess. They were over an hour late and didn't have all of our items. The pip and drape I ordered looked awful and they didn't seem to understand how to do it. I chose to go with them because they seemed nice, they were convenient to my venue and had fair pricing. However, I wish I would have gone a different route as the stress they caused during the planning process was definitely not worth it. read more

I was actually referred to Pull Up a Chair by someone who knows one of the owners. I looked at their website and found some really nice things that work perfect for my bridal shower. I called the number given on both Yelp and their website. First time I called, no answer, so I left a message and waited a few days and received no response. So I call again and she answers and tells me "Oh can you hold on a second the mail man is at my door", so i say of course. She never came back to the phone and i can hear her talking to her dogs! I waited 11 minutes, and never even received a call back. Since this placed offered exactly what i was looking for i called again the next day, left yet another message and still haven't received a call back. This was three weeks ago. My shower was last weekend, I was lucky enough to find what i needed somewhere else. My friend (who's cousin knew the owner), called and got through recently for a baby shower event looking for a certain color table cloth. The lady sent pictures of swatches and set up a payment time and never contacted my friend again nor answered her phone calls or voicemails. It is a game. I had limited time to set up for the event and the delivery guy really put a strain on the decorating time. Then we do the company a favor and tell them they don't have to be there at the end of the event, we'll take their items home and they can pickup there. Dawn Marie agreed and said they would be picked up Monday. On Friday at 10am I called to let them know I wasn't happy that a dozen tablecloths and 75 wine glasses where still on my front porch and that they clearly didn't care about their property. Dawn Marie informed me that she has a life outside of the business. Guess what Dawn Marie, so do I, and it doesn't include looking like the Beverly Hillbillies with all your crap sitting on my porch for a week. He was very patient with me, even though I would add or change things on my list. He came out and helped me determine what size tent would fit in my space. He was very professional and organized. I needed two kids' tables and 20 kids' chairs for my daughter's birthday party this past weekend. I found Pull Up A Chair online and they called me back within 24 hours with exactly what I was looking for. I loved the fact that they were local and down the street from me. We planned for me to pick them up but they were not ready when I showed up. But since my car was not big enough, I would have to come back the next day with my husband's truck anyway. The next morning, they were ready, waiting for me, as promised. Pros: local and convenient fair prices sturdy and clean product nice owners Cons: supplies not ready when promised* *Even if they were ready, I would not have been able to take them with me because my husband had our truck at work with him until the next morning. Had the owners offered to deliver the supplies, I would've rated Pull Up A Chair 5 stars. I literally live half a mile away and since they were coming from another job, it would've been "going above and beyond" for a first time customer. They originally offered to drop them off but when I showed up (I didn't get her voicemail in time), and she saw I didn't have the right-size car, it would've been nice for her to offer that her husband just drop them off for me. If I need party supplies again in the future, I will be calling Pull Up A Chair and recommend giving them a try if you need party rentals. read more
