We had our daughters 6th birthday party here yesterday.My husband and I had been so impressed by the outstanding customer service by the 3 teen staff. Zack,Zane, and Cassie. Zane and Zack had played with our group the entire time. The kids had so much fun with these two. They were nice,helpful and fun. My husband and I could enjoy our daughters birthday party and visit with other parents. Cassie was the girl that help in the party room,she had all decorations set up the way we ask,she did all the serving of the food,and clean up. The three did great with checking in with us and time management of the party. My husband and I had been even more impressed that the three are teenagers that offered such amazing customer service. BONUS: is that the pizza is from Avante and it was great pizza. Parents had complemented how great the pizza was. We are thrilled with the over all experience at pump it up. read more

This is a really fun place, but man, they know how to nickel and dime you if you are not prepared. We arranged a party here for our daughter's tenth birthday. Things went mostly smoothly. Our party had two activity rooms with six jumper rigs. The staff was on top of it and everything here was organized. This was all really a ton of fun for not just the kids at the party but also the adults--such as myself--who decided to join in the fun. You can't go on to the inflatables with shoes or with bare feet. If you don't have socks, they'll sell you a pair for $2. Batteries for my digital camera were $6. They've got all the little extras you didn't think about beforehand or didn't bring, but you're gonna have to pay for it. The part I really didn't like all that much was the smell of the party room. It smelled strongly of spoiled food and was almost overpowering when we first walked in. We were able to trace the smell to a $30 veggie tray we ordered from them (you can't bring your own in). The veggies appeared not to be rotten, but they sure smelled like they were. After a while, you got used to the smell and enjoyed the party, but that scent lingered in my nose for a while. Other people seem to have had great parties here and I don't want to pick on these guys too much. Overall, they did a great job in spite of the annoyances. Would I recommend this place? Yes, the staff here knows how to put on a GREAT time and and I have no complaints about the actual procedure they have. But remember, these guys will try to get as much $$$ from you and your guests as they can fairly get. 2 liter sodas are $2.50 a bottle (and you can't bring your own), and goodie bags are $3-$4. 12 balloons are $12. It's not outrageously expensive, but it is a few dollars here and a few dollars there, and that adds up. If you do all the favors and paraphernalia by yourself and bring them, you will be able to minimize cost. On the other hand, if money is no object, then go for the works and Pump it Up will deliver a great time for your money. read more

I have enjoyed this place time and time again as a guest at birthday parties. Unfortunately when I finally booked the place for my son's birthday venue, I also booked the worst service in the world. -the party would not have started on time unless I prompted staff. -staff did not do rounds to enforce their own safety rules. -staff did not ensure that all of my guests filled out their required waiver forms. -only half of the children got served by by a so called party hostess. -party hostess was no where to be found at the start of the party and was absent from the party room most of the time. -management challenged ME when I complained about the service. -this one is my favorite...they charged me TWICE for the party and then refused to mail me a receipt to correct the charges. When my bank called them to verify an approval code to remove the excessive charges, the Pump It Up manager refused to give the bank code, though admitting to the mistake. read more

We held my daughter's birthday party here last weekend, and it was perfect. The kids had fun, burned off their energy, had great naps afterwards, and the adults enjoyed it, too. The rooms were cleaned between groups, and the common areas were not crowded. The staff was very helpful with the goodie bags, stowing them away for us while the kids were playing and wheeling them in on a cart at just the right time. This is perfect way to have some COVID-safe fun. My daughter has already asked to go back multiple times in the few days since we were there. I love this place! I used to think, "How hard can it be to plan a kids party? It sounds fun!" On the contrary, it is tons more work than you think. Pump It Up made my daughter's 5th birthday the best she (and I) has ever had. Everything is clean and fun. Parents have to fill out waivers, and they have a short video that explains safety stuff before the party can start. Oh, and they have to sanitize their hands before entering the party zone and right before entering the party room after all the playing is over. Service: Amazing!! At least when it comes to making reservations, setting up and cleaning up the party room, and organization. Unfortunately, the girl who was helping me in the party room left the room for a while and I basically had to take over. I thought that it was all supposed to be taken care of and that I wasn't required to lift a finger. However, I've been to a few birthday parties here and other staff has stayed the entire time and did everything! I guess I just got the wrong girl. Oh well. Location/parking: I didn't mind having to drive out here from SF. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking. They have a parking lot and there's street parking. The equipment: The kids love it. They get to run, jump, bounce, roll, dive, throw, everything they can't do, they can do it here! They get an hour and a half in two different rooms that hold 3 different jumpers with obstacle courses, slides, and basketballs/ hoops. The only thing is that there's not much seating for the parents, but we can live without it. The second room has 3 jumpers and rock climbing that's supervised by staff. Both rooms have complimentary air hockey. Party room: Pretty cool. Plenty of seating. All set up when you walk in. The best part is that they have a huge inflatable chair for the birthday kid to sit in while all the friends have to sit on hard, boring benches. Lol. The food: So expensive. I had a time slot that started right after lunch time and ended before dinner time. I did this on purpose so that all I had to buy from them were appetizers. They let you bring boxed drinks and packaged snacks for free. I got away with bringing a few cheese and cracker trays that were packaged and some deli wraps, also packaged. They charge if you bring hot food, catered food, or homemade food that is not from them. I just don't think it's worth it to buy the food there, but it does make things easier. It's a bit expensive, but if you're planning to have a kids birthday party outside of your home, then plan on spending a lot of money. I think it ended up being somewhere between $350-$400. It's worth it, though. I plan on having her next party here; unless I find somewhere better or cheaper. read more

Maybe a 3.5. We had been to 2 parties here and 1 party at Pump It Up Junior in Sunnyvale over the last year, so my then-turning-4 year old daughter REALLY wanted to have her birthday party here. At first I was resistant because I like to have a more intimate feel where you can actually talk to your guests, but we were moving and I was starting back to work after a maternity leave so had too much going on at once. This was an easy solution where all we had to do was bring (our own homemade) cupcakes. You pay a hefty amount ($300 + food/drinks/fruit/veggies = $500!) for 2 hours, and the service was ok. The kids always seem to enjoy it though! There is a variety of bouncy structures in 2 separate rooms and the obstacle courses and slides seem to be the faves. I always wonder if the kids will get sick because they only offer that antibacterial gel right before the meal. I bet everyone crashed in the car on the way home (party ended at 6:45pm) but in fact I think it made my daughter more wired! She was so sweaty after the bouncing so her photos in the eating room were not picture-perfect -- um, damp hair and a kind of tired look with a fake smile. Oh well, next year we'll do a small tea party at our house or something. read more

Well this is certainly an interesting concept. I bet this place does great in the mid-west. You know all those bouncy inflatable castles and slides you see at local farmer's markets, street fairs and birthday parties? Well this is a wherehouse full of them! Apparently, you are charged per child and get 45 minutes in the first room, adjourn to the next and get another 45 minutes. Then it's a pizza party! I'm sure the parents are welcome to bring cake and such. I think it's a great unique party idea, especially in the winter months. It was really fun to watch the kids lose their oomf towards the end of the second 45 minutes. I bet their paretns had a good night that night. Tee hee. read more

My son celebrated his 10th birthday with about 50 friends and family members. All of the kids loved it and they ranged from 1-17!! The staff was friendly and well organized, the facility was very clean and the new rock climbing wall was a big hit, even for the adults! I didnt have to manage the party in any way when we were shuffled from one party area to the next, I didnt have to serve pizza or drinks or cake, and best of all I didnt have to clean up!! I even brought in party favors and asked the staff to set them out at each childs place setting. The party went exactly as planned and I highly recommend it for any age child! I've been here on two occasions about a year apart for younger cousins' 17th birthday parties. No, you didn't read that wrong... I said 17th birthday parties. Both parties were on Sunday nights so there were no bratty kids to deal with. I guess since we were an older group, the staff pretty much left us to ourselves in the bounce rooms and let us play our own music off an ipod. There are two bounce rooms. The first has an obstacle course, a slide and a basketball court. I like the second room better. The slide there is bigger, and the obstacle course is better. It smells a little, but is surprisingly clean considering the number of sweaty kids that use the equipment on a daily basis. I had a blast reliving the fun I used to have at the Discovery Zone as a kid. I definitely don't have the stamina anymore to jump around for longer than 3 minutes at a time though. read more

Thoroughly enjoyed celebrating our daughter's birthday party here. Organizing the event was made to feel really simple. Once I customized the online order, I was hoping that someone will reach out to me on the phone to confirm the order & answer my questions. However, noone did but when I finally called them, the phone process was a bit slow but eventually everything ended up the way I wanted to. It was easy because I could tweak items per the clarifications provided to me two days before. On the day of the event , we arrived 15 minutes early as suggested and the manager gave us a small brief (was quite friendly) and we were made to feel comfortable and rest was all taken care. We just went with the flow. Really no fuss at all. Other staff was also very friendly and really took care of everything. I was able to add drinks for the guests. The play area was a big hit with the kids (especially for my 4 year old party and had a couple of older kids below 8 and they too had a blast). Totally recommend this place! My only suggestions to the business is to provide better food options (particularly better quality, nutritious and delicious at that price) and improve on the quality of the party favors which otherwise seemed of poor quality (even though they were fun for the kids). read more

I wish they had places like this when I was a kid. I came here for our nanny's daughter's birthday and it was awesome. Well, awesome for the kids. It was awkward for the adults, but I should probably get used to that. Basically the kids are herded into this big room with multiple bounce houses, climbing walls, air hockey, slides - pretty much anything that will burn off as much energy as possible. Then the lights are turned off, the music comes on, and it becomes a huge party. It's utter madness. But, the kids get to run around for a half hour, and afterwards there's pizza. I can dig it. "C'mon Jen, I'll race you!" my little friend says, who's also the 10 yr old birthday boy. "Are you sure you wanna? Cuz you know you're going down!" I say, cocky as ever, not knowing what to expect. He jumps like Superman through the hole fast as a speeding bullet! I jump like Superwoman through the hole fast as a speeding bullet! And hit my head on the first thing on the other side, body not even half way through the hole. Dammit! He crawls underneath the contraption on his hands and knees all hardcore like a Marine at bootcamp! I lay on my stomach feeling squished like the bully from elementary school is sitting on me. This sucks. I eventually wiggle my way out. He climbs up the mountain-like steps as if he's honey I shrunk Bear Grillz! I climb up the mountain-like steps which feels like the freakin Himalayas. I see him float down the slide with his hands up in the air like a CareBear on a rainbow. I sit at the top of the slide for what seems to be 30 seconds but in actuality is probably 5 minutes and sluggishly slide down with the birthday boy grinning from ear to ear. Did that race totally kick my ass? YES. Did I finally make it to the end with burns on my elbow and knuckles, sweaty pits, one sock, and feeling like I've just aged 40 years? YES! Would I go back? get a bigger parking lot! it fits about 15 cars. street parking but theres barely any of that too. thats why i dink one star off. very organized and cheap place for kids to have a party. i like how they move parties very efficiently. 30 minutes room a 30 minutes room b and 30 minutes to eat. the food is a monopoly. only order their pizza and their fruit and drink. but you can bring your own cake. slides are fun. obstacle course is fun. big jumpy house is fun. rock climbing wall is meh. it ripped a hole in my sock. you cant do rock climbing in socks. should be wearing shoes for that. anyways i love taking my nephew here because i get to go on the slides. wheeeeeeeee. theres a teenager worker that goes with you through each room. doors closed so kids cant run away. very safe easy party idea. read more

For those not familiar with Pump It Up, it's a great place to bring your kids for some serious fun, play and exercise on inflatable "toys". I've been to Pump It Up twice for children's birthday parties (once in Sunnyvale and once in Belmont), and my 8 year old daughter, absolutely loved it each time. The buildings is divided into to two giant air-conditioned, music pumping playrooms filled with huge jumpy/climby structures that the kids race through, climb up & slide down, bounce, yell and scream on. This is especially great for rainy days when the kids have way too much energy, but can't go out to play. They will exhaust so much energy, get a bunch of exercise and be amazingly and peacefully tired afterwards, that they'll sleep very soundly in the evening. For birthday parties, the kids will spend about an hour in each playroom while being monitored by the staff, and then be escorted to a smaller private room for food, cake and ice cream. Parents will have to sign a waiver before kids are allowed to play on the structures. Kids will be required to wear socks (which they sell there), as no shoes are allowed on the structures. Check it out, you and your kids will love it! Recommended for kids 2 to adult! read more

My first visit to a Pump It Up was a mostly positive experience as far as the activities are concerned. My girlfriend decided to hold a birthday party here for her two young children and here are my thoughts: Parking is somewhat limited, although there is street parking. The staff is helpful and genuinely enthusiastic (at least the ones assigned to this party). Everything appears to be cleaned on a regular basis. The party was run like clockwork and the transitions to each room went smoothly. A party that lasts under 3 hours and the establishment cleans up your mess...not bad. My main issue is that you have to buy all the food and drinks for your party through Pump It Up or pay a $100 fee to bring in your own. Really?! $9 for a gallon of apple juice?! $24 for an XL 2 or 3 topping pizza! $32 for a chicken or meatball sandwich..for 5 people??!! $26 for a veggie or fruit tray!! $23 for a Caesar Salad tray??!! $2.50 for a liter of soda?!! Total rip-off. Factor in a cake, $2.95 for each child (slice of pizza and a drink) and you're looking at a steep bill. Ridiculous. I'll never be a customer, just an attendee. read more

Went back for another birthday party (on a Friday evening).. This time there was no loud music playing, and my Kid and the rest of the Kids had a blast! Also, I don't know if it's because in the evening there was not the same rush as on a weekend morning, but during the food and cake, we actually enjoyed it and it felt relaxed. I've been here five times now, and each time has not been a disappointment. After the video of what to do and not to do (which the kids never follow...LOL), we go into the first room with three jumpers - double slide, jumper with two basketball hoops and a obstacle course jumper. After what seems like 45 minutes, we go into another room that has three larger jumpers - one to just jump around in and slide, another double slide that is twice the size of the smaller one in the first room, and an even bigger obstacle course. After another 45 minutes, we go into one of the party rooms and have pizza, drinks and cake. The birthday boy/girl gets to sit on an inflatable throne! - Bring a small towel. The kids will really sweat and you will too (LOL) if they ask you to play with them! It really is a lot of fun! Bring an extra change of clothes for the kids also if you plan to go somewhere afterwards (like another party). - No drinks or food near the jumpers, so bring so snack and drink boxes that can fit in your pockets (or purse) so they can munch really quick in the lobby before playing again. - The pizza is provided by Pump It Up, from a place called Avanti's. Yes, this pizza is actually good to eat. You need to bring your own cake. Don't know if they provide the 2-liter drinks also. - Air Hockey table in the 2nd room = $5 extra. - Gifts are kept in a cart near the front desk for your arriving guests to put into. - Come a little early if you want to be able to park in their small parking lot. Here I thought Disneyland was the happiest place on earth! Pump It Up (Belmont) is a perfect place for children's birthday parties! The staff was courteous and helpful from start to finish. Even before the day of the party while arranging the logistics, the staff patiently answered all my questions and was great about getting back to me with reminders, paying attention to the details that I didn't have time to deal with. The party itself was absolutely wonderful, and the staff really knows how to make children AND parents feel special and appreciated! From the moment we arrived, Casey met us at the parking lot to help us unload the car, and throughout the party, there was a party coordinator who interacted with children and kept them engaged in various activities. The facility is GREAT for kids with 2 separate indoor play areas full of enormous inflatable jumps, as well as a rock climbing wall and an air hockey table, and unlike other party venues in San Francisco, you get plenty of playtime, 2 hours total. I was also surprised how nice and helpful the staff was in setting up food for the party room - basically, doing ALL the initial work as well as the cleanup. I really can't say enough great things about the staff at PIU in Belmont! There are 3 locations throughout the Bay area, and although we live in SF, we decided to have the party at this location due to their outstanding level of customer service! We were in a shelter in place due to Covid19 by the time of the party and so I cancelled the party. Not only did they keep the $100 deposit, they charged an additional ~$100 cancellation fee. I asked to speak to the manager and was never contacted. Super shady. Avoid at all costs, especially during these unpredictable times. read more

We celebrated my daughter's birthday here recently. We had only her class, so everyone felt very comfortable. The kids had an absolute blast! It was everyone's first time back into a play area like this, and the kids couldn't be happier! Pump It Up did a wonderful job at cleaning the rooms between kids, and the rooms are enormous with excellent air flow. Everyone was so kind and helpful. It was such a wonderful experience that we now are trying to find more reasons to return with our groups. read more

Just finished a party here and it was so much fun. I really loved seeing my children enjoy themselves and conquer their fears. I even got to go through the obstacle course and slides. From the initial phone call, my experience has by far exceeded my expectations. Swati, the manager, assisted me patiantly with all the questions and followups that I had before scheduling my son's 4th Birthday celebration in May. The event was for our family and our son's classmates. While the times are extremely difficult and at times scary for the safety of our kiddos, the establishment clearly had a clean safe environment. The rooms are extremely spacious and clean, the filter system I felt was circulating air very well! Also, to mention that our event planner, Makayala, was just amazing! She assisted with getting everyone in, smoothly navigated the kids between the playrooms, and set up the table for dessert. Overall, the whole experience was amazing. It was our son's first official celebration and he was able to share it with his friends! It was great to see kids have such a great time in a safe environment! read more

I have been to several pump it ups . Came to this one recently for a birthday of a 3 year old. A few things stood out. While most of the pump it ups have ample parking this one is very limited in space. If you are lucky you find a space but else park road side. The locality looks a little run down to me.. The hosts at this place are loud and unorganized . They don't have the courtesy of putting the guests first. They closed the rock climbing at will while several kids were still waiting for it. We had our son's 5th birthday in the weekend. The entire staff are bunch of 15 year olds running the business. There is no grown-up including the manager who cares and understand the party and host needs. Everything need to reminded to the teenagers who hardly cares. Soda ordered never got to the room, photos taken (extra 20 dollars) are random, pizza's ordered did not come right, cake ordered do not have right picture on them, they hardly cared to box-up the leftover cake or food!! Biggest disappointments are: 1. Kids got into so many accidents as the bouncers do not have sufficient air pumped into them. 2. Vegetarian pizza's have meat mixed up. All my vegetarian friends left party looking for food at 8:30pm in the night. We had good experience with sunnyvale and santa clara pump-it-up. I would travel few extra miles for better service. FANTASTIC Place FANTASTIC people - hard to find! We had my son's birthday here twice now. Everyone was kind and gave excellent help throughout the party. We liked it so much that my son attended camp here in the summer. He bonded with the teachers and his passion for science/bugs/art was truly supported and enhanced. They took a personal interest and accommodated our special needs (High Functioning Autism) so I didn't have to worry about my son. This is huge when you've been asked to leave other children's events instead of getting support. I am not kidding when I say the staff at this place feel like family. We had a very small birthday party with just our pod and felt very safe here. They are taking every imaginable precaution for covid. Everyone has to sanitize before jumping and they're completely sanitizing the jumpers between parties. They explained that they use a spray sanitizer. They are only open for private parties right now. Also it was very fun! I'm planning on booking a private jump after the holidays. I would highly recommend even during covid. read more

This is the 4th Pump It Up I've been to, but I've never been to this one in Belmont until this past weekend. My nephew turned 4! Parking: Lot can fit about 15 and we got there right on time for the party and didn't have trouble finding parking. Facilities: Each Pump It Up has some variation. This one has two rooms, and each room had 3 inflatable things. The first room had a jumpy area that had two hoops on either side and some balls. There was a slide, and lastly there was an obstacle course. The first room also had an air hockey table, but I'd never seen one like it before. The two people stood on the same side, but the playing surface is like a V or W, so when the puck went over the point of the V or W, then the other person hit. And boy, was that obstacle course tiring, but oh so fun. And of course it was great to see my other nephew, who is almost 2, being so independent and running off to play on these inflatable things for his first time. Oh, how fast kids grow. We basically ran after him just to make sure he was safe. He was not scared at all, even on the high slides. The second room had a little slide thing and jumpy area, which was a little weird. I didn't see anyone play in there. There was also a realllly high slide, that people could climb up on two side. Lastly, there was an obstacle course with two entrances and exits as well. Can't remember this one as well (old age!), can't even remember if I went in it. If I didn, it wasn't memorable, so I still like the obstacle course in the first room. There was also a rock climbing wall in this room. Some of us adults took part in it after the kids that wanted to climb got their turn. And can I say, one of the workers there was sooo nice. Everyone else there also seemed nice, but we didn't interact with them much. But this guy actually seemed to enjoy his job and explaining the rules to the kids. I remember when I went to the SF Pump It Up before, there was a girl who didn't even smile when we did funny stuff, and totally didn't look like she didn't want to be there. Too bad I didn't get this guy's name so I can give him proper props. And there was the room for pizza and sandwiches, and the girl that took care of us in that room seemed nice, too. This place is a birthday party factory! They just crank them out one after another. Attended a birthday party here yesterday with my 4 (almost 5 ) yo nephew and 1 (almost 2) yo niece. You start off in one gigantic room with 3 inflatable bouncers - a basketball court, a slide, and an obstacle course. You stay in there for about 40 minutes. Then everyone lines up and ushered into room 2. There's 3 more inflatable bouncers that seem to be a little more difficult - steeper inclines, higher climbs. Play here for another 40 minutes and then whisked into the party room for pizza, chips, drinks, cake, and goodie bags. I was pretty tired out going through all those things with the niece. She was a little too small to go through all those things herself. The kiddies loved it and now the nephew is planning to have his 5th bday party here. read more

Attended their special Easter event today - totally worth the $13 ticket (purchased in advance) on their site! Got there and the children had access to the 2 rooms, after a awhile they could line up to take pictures with the Bunny - more play time followed by going back to the lobby and wait while the Bunny hides eggs . . . here is the teeny part I found silly. The children put the eggs in bins and do not keep them. I get that they did this event for a week, but it was Easter day . . . why not let them keep ONE egg? I guess that is why they do Goodie Bags - but that is hard for a 3 year old to understand. They also asked the children to "line - up" many times . . . which is plain silly for 2-4 year olds. I mean, ask them to gather by the door but to make a line is just not gonna happen (and didn't really). My one piece of advise would be to do a 3 under time slot, then up . . . break it up. I can't tell if this one is bigger than the one in sf but they're both the same - a place for kids and "older kids" to spend all their energy so they can sleep good when they get home and their parents can do...heh heh awwright! the only real difference i saw is that this one had a rock climbing wall which i thought was really cool. read more

I've seen Pump It Up in Union City but I never knew what it was. It wasn't until we got invited to my ex-coworker's daughter's 5th birthday party that we got to try it out. On the outside, it may not look inviting considering it's in a business section of Belmont. I never knew that this place existed because I used to work very close to this place. Parking is fairly limited and if you are the guest host, you get a special parking in the front. I had baked cupcakes for the party, which the staff was nice to display in the eating area of the place. The guy explained what the kids will do during their 2 hours. The place is divided into two sections with different bouncy slides, obstacle course and bouncy house. For each section, there is a 45 mins of play time. The guy that was overseeing was playing with the kids. My son usually doesn't go inside the bouncy houses but this time, he was able to play. In the second section, there was a mountain climbing wall. The place was very clean. After 90 mins of playtime, you go into the eating area where they served pizza, a veggie dish, water and apple juice. I kind of felt sorry for the guy who was designated to oversee because he seemed flustered in providing for the party. For the birthday celebrant, they get their own inflatable throne to sit in. The kids had a blast and the parents can sit and watch them while they talk. I think when my son is older, I will have a party at Pump It Up. read more
