Had my sons bday party here and would never recommend it. They started our party late because of some sort of air conditioning issue. We were delayed by 20 mins I assumed we would be given the extra 20 mins on the back end but the girl told us we had to leave. I reminded her of them starting us late and she replied ," but the next party has to begin and that was due to our vent". I told her that wasn't my problem and she needed to figure it out. It escalated to the manager who allowed us to stay 20 mins more but just for the party room which I thought was lousy since the kids preferred the play area. The workers here are all teenagers who are slow and not helpful. Only one guy was around to pass out cake. The girl from the beginning decided to leave because I guess her feelings were hurt. Don't have a party here. The manager did Comp us for the pics taken but what a joke. They were all blurry and terrible. Not one good pic. read more

I reserved to make a birthday party for my daughters which was the first birthday party in 4 years. we invited friends to create precious memories. Unfortunately, because the non professionalism of people who worked there, I didn't receive the pictures of the birthday party despite we paid for that. Having these pictures and creating memories for us were fundamental and precious. Because of this, if I can give them less than one start, I will systematically do that. My Daugther Celebrate her 4th Birthday here at Pump it up belmont! and she had a BLAST!! her joy, smiles and laughter means so much for us parents she really felt special on her birthday!! Reason why i love this place: Kids had fun they play active for 80 mins (40mins on arena A and 40 mins Arena B) 80 mins of FUN and non electronics games and play this is what should kids be doing instead of playing computers, nintendos when they see each other, the facilities is clean and very colorful, the staff are friendly and they keep cheking on us, i love the idea of this being private to us, Reason why i gave 4 star: Food (Very Pricey, Less Selections and the pizza taste is just fine) Recommendations: to add more variety to food selection and i wish the food is reasonable price example i bought a bowl of fruits which is only $12 in costco and i paid $26 here kinda rip-off on that pizza 18inch $27 also i wish they dont over charge on food because we are paying separate to the party package anyways.. Came for the glow open jump for 2 hours which was $16. They open up one room for an hour then moves everyone over to another room for second hour -- about every 15 minutes or so they would turn off the lights for 15 minutes to make the room glow. Great way to get kids active. I booked and paid online which was a breeze. This location is much better than the one in SF. I like that they also have date night events available. read more

Yesterday I took my 3 kids and a friend's kid to a private play at Pump it Up Belmont. We were greeted warmly, started our session promptly, and had two huge and clean play rooms with 3 big inflatables entirely for us. All the kids from 2.5yo to 9yo enjoyed it so much that they beg me to book a private play every week. I have to admit I had a wonderful time chasing the kids as well, it brought me to my childhood. I have booked another two private play back to back for my family so we can enjoy 2hrs undisrupted time next time. Great job, pump it up, we will continue to come back. read more

Overall, the party was good. Everyone enjoyed & had fun. A few things to note: 1. Party coordinators were very nice & helpful. Although I like doing things on my own, they insisted on helping. Our coordinator was also very attentive to the kids; asked if they wanted more pizza, drinks, etc. They even sliced the cake & passed them out which was a plus. 2. I read bad reviews about the pictures that are taken by the workers, but luckily, our photographer did a good job! So of course I opted to buy the pictures for an additional $20. 3. Our guests were actually surprised that their pizzas & sub sandwiches were good! We did order a fruit bowl ($26) but was disappointed that they were just the small sized fruit bowls that can be purchased at Safeway that you can get for $10 or so. 4. Had balloons filled at the location for a charge, which was no problem, yet a couple workers kept saying how we had so many balloons. Yes, I had approximately 30 balloons & yes, I paid for them to be filled. But pls, keep your remarks to yourselves. Also, upon leaving the location, a good number of our balloons flew off due to the poor job of tying the string onto the balloons. I get it, they're not party city so I guess that's my bad. But for convenience & for future parties that actually have nice balloons to be blown, the least they can do is double knot. 5. I brought in a lot of stuff for a dessert table & had a lot of extras. Unfortunately, they did not put a box of 2 dozen cupcakes into the cart so that we could take home which is very upsetting. Once your party time ends, they pretty much rush you out so they can clean for the next party. But wish I had time to actually go back and see if anything was forgotten. 6. After not having a party last year due to covid, my son really wanted to have a birthday party this year at Pump It Up. We're so glad we did! The facilities are very clean, and you have a whole space to yourself when you're jumping and playing which avoids cross-spread of germs between groups. Our group was mainly from my son's class at school, so they already spend time together every day. The staff were conscientious about keeping their masks on and distancing, and they stayed outside the party room when we ate pizza and cupcakes at the end. Most importantly, the kids had a blast! IF I COULD PUT ZERO STARS I WOULD... DO NOT BOOK A BIRTHDAY PARTY HERE. I recently had my son's birthday party at this location. In the first room (A), the inflatables were ripped, sunken, and deflated. Kids were unable to play without falling into the inflatables. One child almost fell out of the obstacle course because it was so deflated. When I went out and asked the staff to fix the inflatables, they responded, "It's been like this for awhile now, we've told the owners about it and they refuse to replace it." Most of the children played with foam shapes on the floor instead of the inflatables. In the second room (B), my niece (11 years old) had to go out of the room and find an employee to man the rock climbing wall. When she asked the 2 young men (no older than 16/17) assigned to our party for help, she watched as they argued over who should come do it, and NEITHER ONE CAME. I went after a few minutes and one of them finally came. The kids only got to use the rock climbing wall for 10 min. In the party room, we served our own food and drinks to the children, when part of the package is that the employees ensure the kids are taken care of. There are no garbage cans in the room, and when I asked for one was told, "the owners don't want us to put one in here." NO one cleaned up the tables, and as WE served the cake ourselves, their were parents trying to clean up after their children to make space for the cake plate. It was a disgusting mess!!!! When I asked to speak to the manager after our guests had left to voice these complaints, a young girl, no older than 16 told me she was in charge. I have absolutely no problem with these teenagers working there, but there was no oversight or enforcement of their roles at the facility. I finally asked for them to call the owner, and waited for 15 minutes as they all passed the phone around speaking to her before they gave me the phone. SHE WAS BEYOND UNHELPFUL!!!!!!!!! She continually cut me off, and offered me $70 off an over $850 party. She could care less about making things right, and never once offered an apology. Their party packages are not cheap, the staff is unhelpful, the owner is even worse, and not to mention, the food they require you purchase (as no outside food is allowed) is INEDIBLE. We spent over $300 on food, and watched as no one could stomach to eat it, and we left almost all of it behind. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THIS FACILITY AGAIN, AND I'M ABSOLUTELY POSITIVE THAT NONE OF THE 30 PARENTS WHO ATTENDED WILL EITHER. THEY CONTINUALLY COMMENTED ON HOW POOR THE INFLATABLES WERE, WHICH IS BEYOND EMBARRASSING. IF YOU ARE GOING TO HAVE EQUIPMENT THAT DOES NOT WORK, OR IS SUBPAR, YOU SHOULD NOTIFY CUSTOMERS BEFORE THEY BOOK A PARTY THERE. My grandson had his birthday party at Pump It Up this May 2022. He and his friends were very happy and amazed with the facility. Some of the kids and parents had never been there. They loved it so much that they said they would have their kids party there. The facility is huge, even I went in to play with my grandkids. Had a blast. The playroom is large with 15 foot tall ceiling. I felt safe taking my family and guests there. The place is very clean with bright colors that kids love. I noticed that they have air filters, that to me is one of the best thing they invested in for the families that go there. They care for their guests. All the kids and parents had lots of fun with huge inflatable bouncers, rock climbing. My son was scared to do the rock climbing but after 3 tries he went all the way up. He was so proud of him self. The staff helped all the kids to ensure their safety. The staff is very welcoming and the person assigned to us help cut the cake and serve the kids pizza and soda drinks. They also have a parking spot for the birthday child. We really appreciate the great service at Pump it Up and we will definitely recommended to families and friends. read more

The play part was amazing, the party part was absolutely the worst party experience I've ever had. Our party was ran by two teenage boys, one who could have cared less about anything going on!! I had to serve my own fruit since they were not, i brought two small cakes to be cut and served. They were told this but chose to cut one cake into the tiniest pieces, they were all falling apart and i was sent home with an entire untouched cake! The "fruit tray" which was a bowl of fruit was $26 and was so over ripped that most of the kids wouldn't even eat it. I've never been so frustrated at a party!!! Awful customer service. I reserved a party for our child online because they had a 14 day cancellation policy. Well I canceled the party today, but they are keeping my $100 dollar deposit. They will not hold it under my name so I can use it next year or for a free jump, they just kept my money. I will never book a party here again. Worried about the Corona virus, I called to see how the clean their facilities. They do not clean the bouncy houses. I wanted to cancel the party because the Corona Virus is spreading like wild-fire and schools and businesses are closing. They said that they are still going to charge me 50% of the party. I argued that this is a unique moment in time and that an exception should be made due to the nature of the virus. They say that they are conducting business as usual. We had a birthday party for our kindergartner in January--just as Omicron was really starting to hit. We thought about cancelling but decided a Pump it Up party with the children he already sees every day at school was as safe as a party plan as possible. The alternative in our minds was an outdoor bounce-house party, but in January the weather is too unpredictable. The Pump it Up facility in Belmont is unassuming from the outside--building doesn't look like much. Inside, it's great. Incredibly clean (eat off the floor clean), nice bathrooms, no clutter, very large rooms with bounce-structures. We had a deluxe party package: hour of jumping (30 minutes each in two different rooms), followed by an hour in a dedicated party room, with a dedicated staffer to help out. This package comes with a lot of food (pizza) and goodie bags for kids, so we added on additional food (cut fruit) for kids and more pizza for adults. Therefore all-in cost at the end of the day was relatively expensive (~$40/child). In retrospect the party was worth every penny: - call from staffer 1 week ahead of party date to confirm headcount, food order, any special requests - party started right on time - staffer on hand @ all times to provide clear instructions/directions and assistance to arriving families - rolling cubby for shoes, bin for gifts - travels with the party group. - as discussed above, facilities incredibly clean - transitioned from jumping to party room right on time - food was fresh, hot, and aesthetically appealing - party room fully set up for us - dedicated staffer extraordinarily helpful, always at my side asking what he could do next. As parents we mostly chatted with other parents and helped sing Happy Birthday. - only thing we brought ourselves was cupcakes. Pump it Up coordinated everything else Highly recommend. read more

As the years have gone by, the inflatables have not been replaced or upgraded. Things have got to the point that they are unsafe. The inflatable in Room A are not fully inflated, the net in the bounce area wIth the basketball in Room B is connected by black plastic zip ties. Extremely unsafe. Will never go back! read more

Great place to have fun even during pandemic: it is a huge facility with friendly and responsible staff that really cares about every visitor. We had a birthday party in December 2020 and we noticed that they clean between each event and everyone in our event stayed healthy a few days after, I can add that other customers might feel encouraged. My kids are at Pump It Up right now. The employee there is walking around like a security guard barking out rules to all the kids wearing a whistle around his neck. "No sliding on stomach, no landing on knees, no climbing, don't land off the landing pad". It's ridiculous. He actually scolded my child too. I understand rules, but parents are also there to ensure their kids are playing safe. I couldn't even get a word in with the way this guy was scolding the children and its not just my kids. This place used to be so fun for my boys, but they dread going there now. It's just not what it used to be. read more

Got an email that there doing an Easter Egg hunt with jumping time, and of course with two little ones we had to come. The workers were really organize for they made sure each kid lefts with lots of eggs. I've never seen an Easter hunt more organize than this one. There are two rooms to play in. The plastic flotation jump house was cool but I skidded my elbow down the slide. Kids can go crazy in here at the age of 5-7? My two year old daughter was a bit frightful for some of these fast activities. There is a room that serves pizza/sandwiches/sodas. The food was from Marvin Gardens (that is where Pump It Up caters at). The hostess preps the cake and pizza for the kids. The room is small though. Overall, I'm not sure if I would spend that much for my kids birthday. $30/15 mins of bubbles? Yikes! read more

We threw our daughter her 5th birthday party here because the other places were already booked 2 months in advance. Now I know why. Pump it Up requires you to buy all the food through them, which isn't bad. What makes it unpleasant is that the food was embarrassing. The pizza was not fresh, it was hard and room temperature. The 2 orders of chicken wings were tiny and also hard and at room temperature. The fruit trays (for $26 each!) were store bought for probably less than $10 each. Many of us left hungry even though we had 3 pizzas, 1 fruit tray, and 1 order of chicken wings left at the end of the party. While I knew how much we were going to spend for the party, the outcome of the food made it not worth it. The 2 stars are for my daughter enjoying her party. I tried to provide this feedback through their survey but apparently there was only one question and by submitting I completed it before being able to give my 2 cents. Tl;dr -- pricey but turn key birthday party solutions. Horrible at open play hour. We've had birthday parties here, but am not sure the price is worth it. Have been really disappointed with open play hours. You show up, but sometimes they're locked. And the meltdown that results from telling your four-year old they can't jump in bounce houses completely ruins the rest of the day. It you're looking for a more reliable play option during the week, check out Safari Run in San Mateo. No bounce houses, but they do have a great indoor play structure that reminds me of the old discovery zone areas they had in the 1990s on the East Coast. read more

If i could give a negative star rating I would! This organization claims they are a kid and family friendly facility, But they clearly are NOT. Kids get sick all the time and they make ZERO solutions for ill children. Covid has been around for 3 years and one thing that has come from it is the revised cancellation policies for organizations. Exceptions are made for things that are out of our control. The Flu, Covid, RSV are on the rise and Pump It Up, has no solution for a sick child. They do NOT offer a refund, partial refund, reschedule or anything. The manager is cold, unsympathetic, unempathetic and rude when we inquired and told them the birthday boy has a fever and possible RSV. They quickly charged the credit card on file and said there was nothing they could or would do. If we were jerks, we could have infected everyone with a sick child and showed up anyway. We are responsible people and made the safe a right decision and are OUT THE ENTIRE AMOUNT. This is a very expensive event and the worst company we have ever dealt with. Any concession would have been welcome and appreciated. Not only do we have a very sick and sad little boy, but are also out the entire cost of the party. We had my younger daughter's 5th birthday here in May. As usual, we had great service. The staff took care of just about everything and my husband and I were free to mingle with our guests. I love that they take photos during your party and help you gather the kids for a group photo. I pay a little more for the package with the party favors included because I just don't have time to put them together myself these days. I didn't get the photo link right after the party and I got so busy that I didn't even realize it until over a month later. When I called, they were very nice and provided it immediately. read more

Everyone felt comfortable because the facility is so large, they have lots of cleaning procedures, and the party is private, so you are not sharing space with anyone not in your group. This place quite literally is a Birthday Party Factory. Little known concept outside of those of us with young kiddos, and what a concept it is. You pay a couple hundred bucks and you get instant birthday party - just add water. No experience necessary. This, my dear reader, was what my youngest, a three-time Pump it Up veteran, truly wanted for his 3rd birthday party. Here's the drill. This place is located in a very industrial part of town, with lots of space. Inside, they have two gigantic rooms, each with its own setup of inflatable apparati (think jumpy houses on steroids). You start as a group in room 1, and the kids go bananans until they're eventually bored after about 30-40 minutes. Then, the whole group gets whisked into room #2, with a whole new set of activities that involves more jumping, climbing, and navigating various obstacle courses. This goes on for another 30-40 minutes. Now that everyone is sufficiently wiped out and on edge from being so tuckered out, everyone gets whisked into a party room where pizzas and birthday cake are produced, ensuring that all of the kids get jacked up on sugar before they go home, to top off their already exhausted bodies. Pump it Up even takes care of the goody bags. (Question: Who do we have to blame for this inane goody bag phenomenon?! I mean, really.) What makes this place the factory that it is, is the efficiency of their throughput, with multiple parties there simultaneously, each in their own various stage of kiddy party awesomeness. My dad, who has spent the last 35 years as an operations intellectual was absolutely fascinated with this whole thing. Truly, a cultural phenomenon (not) to be missed. read more

We hosted a mix-aged birthday party for our little guys (6, 4 and 2) and their 30ish friends here a few weeks back. The Pros: - Our three kids loved it and left exhausted - Most of the guest kids loved it and left exhausted - The planning was fairly easy, since they take care of the basics - We brought in Sibby's cupcakes, which were excellent The Cons: - Mixed ages did not work that well, as there was no good place for the little ones to jump on their own - Afterwards we heard that two kids got injured and had to seek medical attention (they are okay, but got pretty banged up) - The staff was lackadaisical and were not really helping to enforce their own safety rules All in all it's a very cool concept and our guys had a blast. I probably would go for a single age party next time however, and would also keep the party size to 20 kids or so to avoid having things get too wild. read more

The one thing they don't tell you in your Baby Manual is that you'll be required to attend all of the birthday parties of all of your children's friends. Believe me, while a part of you is delighted that your child is popular and other kids want them to celebrate their birthday with her, after the 48th party, a (small) part of you wishes that your Girl was a sociopath that had no interest in human contact. So you'll see your share of parties, and someday you'll have your own. Pump It Up is as good a place as you can find for it because Every Kid Loves The Bounce House. These bounce houses are enormous. Some of the bounce houses have basketball hoops, some have obstacle courses, some have slides that are two stories tall. If your kid is able to jump, there is no way they won't have fun here. At times I'm appalled at the behavior of some of these kids, especially the children that are six feet tall and weigh over 200 pounds. The staff is selected for their ability to manage the children, they are good at getting them motivated to have fun, and they also keep them safe. They work with the children on the climbing wall (yes, a climbing wall for kids), and they do make sure your children follow the rules. However, there are more kids than staff, so the parents also must mind their little ones. They move your group from one room with bounce houses, to another room with bounce houses, to the party room where the cake and pizza are served. Trust me, your kid will be the king/queen for a day as they sit on their throne, chomp on some pizza and laugh about the fun they had a few minutes ago. I wouldn't call it cheap, but then again, try having a party for 25 kids at your house and tell me how much you pay. Make sure you book weeks in advance (or earlier), they fill up quick, and most people won't come during a weekday. read more

Before we were able to finish the pizza, they started to remove the plates. As they were hurrying us, one of the staff even said "What the heck, can they understand English?" Kids barely skip a beat and get right back into the fray for more rounds of punishment. The party starts in one room of bouncy houses, bouncy obsticle courses and bouncy slides and then moves to another room similarly arranged with other bouncy structures. From there, the festivities move on to a party room with pizza, juice and birthday cake. Don't forget your goodie back included with the package! Rack 'm and stack 'm: make room for the next party. After several years of home parties, I have come to appreciate the value of a birthday party factory such as Pump It Up or Safari Run -- or even Malibu or Chuck E Cheese's for that matter. I brought my kid to their Easter event since they have advertised Easter egg hunt, 1 1/2 hour of playtime, order pizza for $3.50 with a drink ands photo with the bunny and a goodie bag for the kids... All for $18. I thought that was a good deal but I was wrong, it was a false advertisement. No bunny, & no pizza. my son was upset because he didn't get to see & take pictures with the bunny. The first three times I went here for a kindergartner's birthday party, it was pretty cool. Who doesn't like huge inflatable slides, lots of jumpy things, and benches for the parents to collapse on while the kids get all sweaty? They bring in good pizza from some local place, and they have plenty of soda to wash it all down. A week later, when I went to my fourth-sixth parties at the same place (please do not make me count how many times I have been there in total...please...), the shine had worn off. Now I try to make sure my kids are on jury duty, or I fake a bout with a tropical disease rather than go there again and again... :-) Honestly, it is a fun place, but man oh man do people need another place to throw a birthday party in the mid-Peninsula. read more
