They don't know how to handle kids with special needs. They keep putting my son in time out.

I've had a party at the Pump It Up in Irvine and have been to parties there multiple times. I liked it and so I found Pump It Up Lake Forest and this time decided to have the party at this location because it was closer. The day that they called me about the party, I decided to personally go in to place the orders and complete details (Also might as well check out where it is located so I at least know for my daughter's day). I didn't have much requirements. I ordered a gluten free pizza for two kids and ordered the bundle package for the rest of the kids. They got that order wrong... gluten free pizza never was ordered. When bill comes, I have to have them correct it. It was a nightmare because the girl seemed really confused when I kept explaining to her. Anyway, I left the building and saw the bill and noticed that she STILL had charged me for "extra" toppings... FFS! I only got specialty pizzas and didn't have to order anything extra on top of them. This is beyond stupid to have to even explain. All in all, I couldn't be bothered to turn around to face that mess again. Next, guests don't always arrive on time. I wish that was something we can all control. One guest arrived late and placed her gift somewhere. The employees should have directed her where to place it. There is a gift somewhere to an unintended because the employees couldn't be bothered to direct late arrivals correctly. It's not about the gift... it's the complete lack of care/responsibility. I liked the assigned employee for the lunch - he deserved 5 stars. One more thing... to the teenager taking photos... it looked like you were hating your life at the moment... but don't take it out on the kids. You don't POINT and SHOOT with FLASH into kids' eyes. The review is intended for the girls who work there on March 3rd, 2017.  I understand you are trying to be professional while mediating the conflict ( it is not your fault, you don't have to apologize for the other), yet after talking to the corporate office n Arizona, OC Sheriff Department, and the Orange County Human Resources, what happened to me was considered racial hate crime. In addition, the girls condoned it in front of the children. It is weird that such crime happened in an indoor play area, but with some low class and questionable female clientele presenting and going frequently to your place, we will not return.  The incident took place on March 3rd, between 11:00am and 11:30 am in Arena B. A kid kicked ball really hard to my injured shoulder.  The mom and her friends laughed and barely apologized for it and thought it was funny.  I shook my head couple times and the the mom and her friends got offensive.  If it were my kid, I would make sure he gives a proper apology regardless of  age.  Anyway, she yelled me and told me to "get out, and it is their place, and I should not be there"' and saying her son is only 3 years old, and it doesn't matter.   I feel bad for the kid who will be growing up with parents who has no value and manner.  In the end, we did leave, because I didn't want to teach my son to yell at somone who is not even worth my time and enegy. I explained to the girl at the arena and the manager, but instead of listening, they offered me a free pass and come back another time. Why would I come back to a place that displays the worst clientele (tattoo, trashy clothes, and goth looking makeup moms) and models for my kids? As of now, what happened to me has being registered as hate crime in Orange County, and unfortunately it is an independently own business, hence the corporate office could not do or say anything to this business except letting the owner know what happened, and it is up to her whether to call me or not. read more

I took my little cousins to their Pop 'n Play event one Monday afternoon. they are 5 and 3 years old and they had a blast! The cool part was that I was able to play with them in the bouncers! The staff was awesome as well. They engaged with all kids and made sure everyone was having a great time. If i had to choose 3 words to describe pump it up, i would say safe, clean, and fun! read more

This place is awesome! We come once a week sometimes twice. The male that works there, I believe his name is Chris, is fantastic with the kids. He remembers their names, truly plays with them and is amazingly attentive. I can't say enough about him. read more

Highly recommend this location! Very clean and spacious! It is bigger than the Irvine location and have more jumping beds. We had a birthday party and the staff are super helpful and friendly. They are very polite, organized and professional. We had a big party and I was worried it can get out control but they managed it very well. The owner is also very nice and helpful too. We also got the glow in the dark and bubble package. It was a great hit!! Kids loved it. Definitely will come back again. read more

not just for kids! it's basically a warehouse full of air blown obstacle courses, bounce house type things to play on. you can rent out a warehouse for an hour and just play to your hearts content. ask for the gloves and the gladiator type batons and start beating each other up while balancing on a podium in a ring full of air. it's great... and tiring. you'll leave exhausted and stress free...let your inner child beat up another inner child read more

This review is for the Pump it Up camp. We had the worst experience here ever! Short version: They forgot my daughter in one of their rooms and left her there for a good 10-15 minutes all by herself. That experience not only left my daughter traumatized but now she's untrusting of any facility except her own school. The staff running this place is unorganized, they lack empathy and professionalism, and some of them are just plain rude. Icing on the cake, my daughter told one of the camp counselors, Lauren, that she wasn't feeling well and she needed to go home, and her response to my daughter was, you'll have to wait, camp isn't over yet!! While the manager, Debbie, was apologetic and concerned, it still doesn't take away from the fact that they lost my daughter. She could've fallen, she could've hurt herself, she could've fainted in the corner, and no one would've known! Don't trust these people with your kids! Long version: I dropped my 5 year-old daughter off on Monday and when I went to go pick her up, she was no where to be found. All the other kids from her camp class were all there except her. I asked one of the staff members that was watching the kids, where my daughter was, he shrugs his shoulders and asks me if I dropped my daughter off to camp.. I'm sorry, WHAT?!?!?! I ask him to open this closed door that I saw, and he says he already checked and no one is in there. I start creating a scene when panic kicks in and I really can't find her anywhere. Debbie (the manager) starts noticing and takes me around the whole facility to look for her. I'm back at that closed door and since that was that was the one place I hadn't checked, I ask her to open it. Even though the room looked empty, I start screaming my head off, yelling my daughter's name and there she pops up from one of the slides. She comes out burning with a 103 fever (which I later found out because I took her to the MD right away after leaving Pump it Up). She tells me they all left her there and went to the other room, and Lauren wouldn't let her go home when she told them she wasn't feeling and asked them to call me. I don't understand how a facility that has arranged a camp for kids does not keep count of how many kids are entering/leaving a room. To them my daughter didn't even exist. They didn't even have the decency to call me when my daughter wasn't feeling well! If I had gotten there any later than I did, my daughter would've just been sitting in there for, god knows how long, all by herself with a burning fever. Like I mentioned in the short version, Debbie was very apologetic but that still doesn't take away from the fact that they forgot a child under her clock and left my daughter traumatized and alone! I'm sure this is a fine facility for kids when the parents are there, but do not trust these people with your kids!!! (On a side note, there was a parent there whose child had gotten into a fight with another child, so bad that the child's shirt was all bloody, and the staff didn't even bother calling the parents. Have been here many times (including my sons birthday) and always have a good time. Tonight, there were some really rough kids at the open play session. When I spoke to the manager about it, she was concerned and reacted right away. She went into the room, had all the children sit, and went over the safety rules. I was impressed at how it was immediately handled. We will definitely continue to come back, especially now that we have seen how much they truly value the safety of all their guests! read more

We went to a birthday party here yesterday and my kids had a blast!! The arenas are so much fun with huge slides that my daughter loved, a bubble machine that my son couldn't get enough of and to top it off Elsa and Captain America came!! Need I say anymore!! Pump it up summer camp! What a great place to send your kids for summer, not only they get a lot of exercise but also fun activities with different themes every week. The kids get to do art, face paintings, play games and meet a special character every Wednesday (my son was super excited to meet Spiderman today and Minion last week and my daughter is loving the Hollywood theme this week :) The owner and all the staff are very nice and friendly and they always look out for the kids. Send my two kids to camp over here and they are having a blast this summer! Highly recommended for siblings as they pair them together. My kids are two happy campers who look forward to going to pump it up Summer camp everyday! read more

This review is based on my experience in throwing my daughter's 3rd birthday here yesterday. I had approximately 35 adults and 20 kids show up. The smaller kids had a great time jumping in the first room, but the bigger kids and adults took over the second room (boxing and jousting rings). Although the smaller kids still enjoyed the giant slide. We had 40 minutes in both rooms and our attendant was kid friendly and accommodating. They gave me the freedom to decorate and set the eating room the way I wanted it; I'm pretty particular with details. They provided pizza and Capri-sun juice for all of our guests. I brought in a veggie tray, bowl of fruits and three trays of chips and dips alongside a cooler full of cans of soda and water. I also brought in all of the desserts (cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies). By the time our guest sat in the final room, the two attendants took over and served all of the lil kids. I was quite impressed by their service. They even brought the empty trays, left over food and all of my daughter's gifts to my car! The average cost for each guest was about $9. I would definitely recommend throwing your child's birthday here if you like to keep things simple and sweet. read more

This place would get 5 stars totally, the staff was incredible, extremely organized, I can't complain about anything except for the food. They treated us like royalty, I didn't move a finger except to bring my stuff in, they offered to do it but my husband already had some things on him... It wasn't super hard to find, my GPS said we had arrived, and we found it just fine! We just had to look for the sign. My daughter who turned 5 last week absolutely loved it and all her friends did too. The only thing I would change is the pizza/food. Their food selection is very poor, we are healthy eaters as are many Californians we know, and the only choices were sandwiches (expensive), chicken wings - YUCK (how many kids eat that, they usually like nuggets) and pizza. The pizza isn't always tried by the parents throwing the party, but though I don't eat much commercial pizza I tried a couple of bites... UGH UGH UGH... disgusting to say the least. Very sweet sauce, the dough tasted frozen, not fresh at all and the cheese was UGH. Seriously, we usually eat from ZPizza or Whole Foods and it is a total different experience, but since they don't let you bring your own food, that is a huge downfall. We could only bring fruit/crackers and juice. Too bad, otherwise I'd give them 5 stars, those guys really made us feel like A-listers! read more

Recently had my son's 3rd Birthday party here and the staff we had was amazing. They interacted with the kids in the play area and our kids and their friends had a blast. The staff who helped set up the food in eating area were sweet and helpful! Overall it was a great experience and would recommend having a birthday party here. I have had numerous birthday parties here for my kids and they always do a great job.

We've hosted a few parties here over the years and have always had a good experience. Our last one was for our three year old daughter and it was the best one yet. We had two particularly good party hosts, Donya and Joey. They were super helpful and the kids loved interacting with them. The girl who set up our party room was great too but I can't remember her name! Everything runs like a well oiled machine here. I also like how they occasionally change up the equipment in each room. Every time we come for a party there's something new and different. If you're looking for a low stress party that your kids will love, this is the place. read more

I have waited for some time to write this review, but feel it is important that other parents know our story. We visited Pump It Up over a school vacation break for one of their open jumps. We have been to Pump It Up several times before but this time they had a new apparatus. On this particular new structure, it offers a warning that if you jump incorrectly you can break your leg. When I looked at that I noted to my friend how horrible and why would they have something of this nature? She was equally concerned and we recognize now, we should have left. My daughter jumped and could not get up. It turns out she broke her femur. This was one day before she turned 3. She was in a spica cast for 6 weeks and luckily healed but the trauma for her and our family was horrible. The hospital suggested I call Pump IT Up for insurance purposes so I did the following day and spoke to a manager. Not only was she heartless (she didn't even ask if my daughter was ok), she didn't even have the decency to say anything kind or maybe offer a refund? The orthopedic surgeon told us he wishes to put his business card at places like this because he sees these injuries regularly. I'm horrified that we learned this the hard way. I hope no other parent has to learn the lesson we learned that day. read more

We had my son and daughter's birthdays here in March and it was WONDERFUL. Marla and Michael were so helpful with helping us bring in our drinks and party bags, they set up our party room and brought all of the gifts to our car and helped us load up. Although it was a little pricey and they ask for gratuity at the end, it was SO nice to have the kids fully entertained for the entire time and I didn't have to worry about cleaning anything up. The adults actually got to hang out and play a little air hokey! I also loved that they didn't charge an additional fee for the adult guests; we were able to invite the grandparents and great aunts. Furthermore, they took photos of the entire event and had the photos on a slide show at the end while the kids were eating their pizza; super cute idea (for an additional charge you can buy the photos). All of the kids had a blast and can't wait to go back! It was such a stress free party and I will be tempted to have their birthdays here again in the future! read more

This place is great! I take my 3 kids (ages 3, 3, and 2) here for their Pop-In Play sessions. There are 2 play arenas, different from each other so you get to spend half of the time in each arena. There is a staff member monitoring the arena and the staff member is usually really awesome. Some of them actually play with the kids! My kids are little, so I follow them through some of the equipment, which is a great work-out for me too. My kids take great naps after coming here! I've never paid full price since I have been able to find Groupon deals. I appreciate that parents don't have to pay. This is a great place for a play date too! read more

My girlfriend strongly recommended that we host a party for our twins here, as she loved her experience with her son's birthday party a few years ago. We booked a party for our twins' fourth birthday and everything was perfect. Casey was so helpful with all the planning over the phone - it was so easy and painless. I just told her the headcount and we selected food and room options (we opted for the neon/dark room for the kids). On the day of the party, the team was so friendly and helpful. Michael and Kaitlyn helped attend to the guests, along with Kennedy as well. The Pump It Up crew assisted with unloading and loading our car, monitoring the time between the rooms and making sure everyone had what they needed so the kids and parents could enjoy their time at the birthday party. I highly recommend this place / location for a kid's birthday party. Flawless party for our 4 year old girl today. Jessica and Ellen were absolutely perfect. They took care of everything, were super sweet to adults and kids, totally attentive, made sure the party flowed, participated playing with the kids and seemed to sincerely enjoy what they were doing. The package we paid for took care of EVERYTHING. In fact, both girls were also taking pictures the whole time and I was expecting some sort of pitch at the end to sell us the photos...but it was included with the package and totally worth it. They play a slideshow of the pics during the party so everyone got to see them while eating. Very cool that our guests are able to download the pictures as well! It will be a great way to send out 'Thank You' cards, to include the code for each parent. I also really appreciated the cleanliness. I saw the girls cleaning after kids were done in the play area, then lined up each child to sanitize their hands before entering the eating / party room and served pizza with platic gloves. I personally was really impressed from top to bottom of the service. Seriously, I'd be shocked if any parent was disappointed with a party here. read more
