Writing this review the same day of our celebration because I am absolutely blown away by the customer service and experience we received. From the moment we booked our party, the pump it up team was incredibly helpful and gave a detailed explanation on my options. Fast forward to a week out from the party and they called to go over logistics and offered tips to make my son's birthday the best time possible. Our party today was so smooth, eagerly and attentively supported, and they got amazing pictures of our entire group. Planning and hosting a party is stressful, but I can truly say we had the best time thanks to the support of Amber and her team. We came into the party room with everything set up, kids taken care of, with pizza and cake promptly handed out to each attendee. Truly top tier service. This place is great!! Let me just start off with I wasn't even going to have a second bday party for my son but I decided to last minute and so many moms recommended this place so I went ahead and booked a party. Wow am I glad I did!! So where do I begin. Well the first thing that I loved was how the play/jump house room was enclosed. Yup! It's private and parents have little to no fear of their kids taking off. The jump houses definitely keep them occupied enough but still it's a nice feeling that everyone is safe and out of harms way. It's huge and in each room, there are TWO by the way, there are so many choices for the kids. They also have hula hoops and an mated area to dance around on. The second thing, and the main reason why I booked here, is they do EVERYthing for you. Minus the cake. Now it can get a little pricey but it comes out to what you most likely would have paid out if you had planned it all out yourself. As a pregnant mom I didn't want to do anything not even goody bags. Lol. I did end up making a treat as the kids party favor but that took me only 10 minutes of prep time start to finish. Anyways! So they made things simple and easy for me. Not even my husband had to do one thing. Well besides load the car with the gifts. And I would personally like to thank the staff too. They were just fantastic. Always made sure the party ran on time, asked me if I needed anything and also took charge. In which in this case I was ok with because like I said I didn't want to do anything. Max and Cassidy helped us out during the jump House part of the party and Lauren was a big help during the pizza and cake part. Courtney at the front desk was very pleasant and Monica was fabulous over the phone. Not one complaint from this mom!! Nope! Not one!! Lil guy attended a birthday party here. It's not the first time we'd been to a Pump It Up. Lil guy attended a birthday party last year at the one in Sunnyvale, CA. Although the place is franchised and you basically get the same sort of event, the staff at this facility is a lot more attentive and hands-on than the other one. Located in an industrial area of Lake Forest, it was hard to find even with directions because the party was at night and it was raining. But if you have kids and boys at that, this is the best place for them to physically exert themselves to the point where they'd be ready to fall asleep when they get home. Pizza is offered with the party and you can supply other more healthy stuff such as fruit if you want. read more

I love having parties at Pump It Up. Simply put, the kids who work here enjoy their jobs and like being with children. Their packages are pretty well priced. And you don't have to do any cleaning whatsoever. That's the best party ever! My only complaint, is the pizza. We all preferred Papa John's but they went back to Mountain Mike's. read more

We were supposed to have my kids 5th birthday party here. My son was admitted to the hospital two days before his party. I emailed them to ask if we could reschedule. They said we could, but there was $100 rescheduling fee. I couldn't believe their cold hearted response, so I called back and spoke to a supervisor. He echoed the same response that there would be a $100 rescheduling fee and he was simply enforcing the rules, but he would ask the owner to see if an exception could be made. I received a response later that day, and he was more empathetic than whoever responded to my email the first time around, but the follow up email from him was still a no after speaking to the owner. We decided that we would no longer be spending any additional money (forfeiting our $200 deposit) to a place that runs this way and will be letting all of our friends and family to think twice about having any birthday parties here. We were at a birthday party and few weeks prior and not impressed with their facilities. The equipment is old, has holes in the jump houses, and the 2nd room is super cramped and makes you feel claustrophobic. We also felt pretty rushed in the party room. Also, they basically force you to buy their overpriced pizza (Papa Johns) and sandwiches (Subway). If you want to bring your own food, they charge you $75 per tray and $20 to bring in kids drinks? If you want a place that will nickel and dime you and has zero empathy for any situation that you might encounter, this is the place for you. Otherwise, stay away! read more

This rating is only for the open session Thursday morning 10:45 to 12:45. I have been to Birthday parties that were great. It started out good. At about 20 minutes in, a large group of completely out of control kids (I think summer campers) charged in the room. At least a dozen started running up the slides backwards and pushing all the kids out of the way. When I brought it up at an attendant, he tried to stop them and get them to listen, but he was completely ignored. The attendants that were with the campers seemed to either be relieved of their charges or when they tried to intervene, they were also ignored. We then moved into the other room and the chaos continued. At about an hour in, the campers were taken elsewhere. Since I am still here, it remains to be seen what will happen next, but this pretty much ruined it, for the kids I brought. read more

I had the opportunity to attend a 6 yr old bday party. There are 2 designated playrooms that the children will go to... The party was for 2hrs... After all the playing, kids and parents are sent to sing Happy Birthday to the celebrant and sit in the Birthday Chair! 3 staff are designated in each playroom that would also have an organized game such as tug of war. As a guest to this place, I totally thought it was so cool that the parents were relaxed because the kids were having a blast and the parents can catch up on talk to each other. Definitely a place to throw a fun party for the kids. The location is great. Plenty of parking. Couldn't believe that this business area had a play area for the kids! After few hours of jumping, both of my boys were hungry and they slept well. Awesome! read more

What can I say? I have been coming to this location for 13 years with all of my children. I am disgusted,and horrified at the extreme lack of care they just showed to their patrons. Mikaela at the front desk is the rudest person I've encountered in a long time. She could care less about the way she treats her customers,and should be fired immediately. They cancelled open gym. We drove 30 minutes to get there. Upon arrival they informed us that there was no open gym today. It clearly states on their website the days and time for open gym. They decided to cancel open gym. Nothing mentioned about the cancellation on the website. Mikaela told me they have a right to cancel open gym anytime they wish. She did not apologize to me. She could have cared less. She also would not give me the owners contact information. Two other people came in after us for the open gym. They all said the same thing. How can you cancel open gym? It's not cancelled on the website! Mikaela,once again,could care less. She is disgusting! The other patrons were very upset as well. I will never return to Pump it Up. I used to love this place. We've already shared this information with 25 people. Great job Debbie! You have a winner with Mikaela! The nastiest,rudest,person I've experienced in years. They took care of the setup and served the kids. - Beware of the $25 photo charge when they take pictures of the children playing and catch you off guard in front of your guests asking if you want to buy approx. 30 pics for $25 when you've already taken a million better quality pics on your smart phone. Also, my friends had events at a different location and the pictures were free. - I was not offered the restaurant menu but they advised me which pizza package I should take. I forgot to ask whether the menu I wasn't offered includes soda for sale. They charge $15 if you bring your own soda to eat with your pizza because they figure everyone likes water with pizza so if you want to be fancy and have a coke with pizza then you best drop that $15. - I should clarify I'm feeling salty about the unexpected $25 photo charge and it overshadowed the experience for me. I understand businesses are trying to get back on their feet, I would rather you increase the party package price than upcharge on free services. This is equivalent to merchants charging shipping when you have amazon prime. No one is paying that shipping. No one is buying from that merchant. read more

I took my two year old here for the open play on Friday for first time. Expecting to go in and there be a bunch of room for him to run around; they make them sit through a video on safety (what toddler is going to do that? Have the parents sign a waiver or post the rules instead) then they led us to a TINY room with three blow up bouncers. It smelled awful and was muggy. There were also open electrical sockets and cords just inside the door! Wow. Spend the extra few bucks and go to We Play Loud down the street. A little late in writing this but HAD to post something bec. this location truly deserves more than 3.5 stars. (pretty surprising) It needs to be said that I am NOT a fan of throwing parties for my kiddos at places like this. Jump N Jammin seemed a lot like Chuck E. Cheese's (etc): Big, bouncy, kid-infested (lol) venues all screamed "rushed" and "un-original" to me. Birthdays are special and the parties should be as unique as my sweet babies. (What can I say? I'm a bday party snob. Bahaha) But as life would have it, my (then) soon-to-be 8 year-old wanted to go to a "bounce house." It wasn't long until the pseudo-individual in me relented. We signed up for their "Pumpjama" (aka glow party) and set it for a Friday night. As my last-ditch attempt to protest my sudden party conformity, I decided to forego the option to use Pump It Up's free evites or formal invitations, and designed my own. We invited her 30 kids and braced ourselves for a sweat-induced celebration. Upon arrival the gifts were neatly collected in a marked rolling shelf. While the guests were quickly shuffled into a room to watch safety videos, my husband and I were introduced to our party coordinator. He explained the plan for the evening, then showed us to the dining room. The door had a sign that personally greeted my kid. Nice touch. We dropped off sodas, fruit, our special Pokemon-inspired decor, 6 large bags of chips (Thanks, Costco!), my daughter's cake and balloons with their 3-man crew. We were assured that they would take care of everything and would fetch us once everything was set up to get final approval. About 30 mins later, they called us over and we were astounded at how well everything was put together! The room was incredibly festive, ornate and best yet- I couldn't have done it better myself! (and TRUST me - I had high expectations!) I tried to worry; I tried to micro-manage about what was to come - but before I could even come up with anything else, the staff took the initiative - leaving me nothing to do! I was left with a foreign state of relaxation. And for the first time, I actually felt like I was a GUEST at our own party. The entire event moved like a well-oiled machine. We transitioned from "Room A" to the "Glow Room" with ease. Once we bounced and glowed for 45 sweaty minutes, the staff moved us to the dining area where service went just as seemlessly. I literally had to enjoy myself. Imagine that! This place seriously rocks. Professional, organized and friendly. It felt so good to have the entire place just centered on my kiddo. She felt special - and that was worth its weight in gold. All in all - it worth the money we spent and certainly worth the 10 minutes it took for me to write this glowing review. Awesome! Perfect place to take the kids to get there energy out! I was recommended pump it up by another mom, I was immediately excited to take my two and a half year old he loves to jump and slide! They have things for all ages my son had so much fun ran jumped slid played with ball pit it was perfect for a hyperactive kid! My favorite part is the staff there not just standing around yelling at kids telling them the rules they play with the kids run around with them while keeping them safe, I had to send them in a jumper twice to help my two year old who couldn't climb up one of the stairs. They were extremely helpful the venue was extremely clean plenty of room to let them explore. Bathrooms spotless tables to eat snacks at vending machines if they get hungry! I will definitely be back! We found our new favorite spot to play! read more

Came here today for the Pre-K Pop-In-Play. Have to say, I loved it. I'm one of those parents that actually play WITH my kid (what a concept! Not sit on my butt in the middle and leave my tot to terrorize!). Facility was clean, and added bonus they had other smaller toys for kids staggered around (both rooms "A" and "B" had giant soft blocks; one had a caterpillar tunnel to crawl in and the other a little roller-coaster slide toy). The employee supervising the room hid stuffed animals and gave prizes to the kids who found them first. I didn't try the food so I can't critique that, but I was pretty happy overall. My one and only complaint - availability. Weekends are reserved for parties with rare exception, and Tuesday evenings are the only time on their calendar for family jump time. Would be nice to have an additional weeknight on the calendar or potentially one weekend day every other week or something. We love this place! I bought a pass on Groupon or Living Social or something so we could visit during open bounce ( which is only Tuesday nights for us working parents). It is always clean, smells nice, the music is fun and the staff PLAY WITH THE KIDS. My son HAD to have his birthday party here and I'm glad we did. The party package was average priced when comparing to the other places we have had his parties. The staff were very organized, nice and HAPPY! Everything was kept on schedule, and as a mother I had hardly anything to do but enjoy. They set up my decorations, served the food, cut the cake and cleaned up - efficiently and exceeding my expectations. ( I'm a party planner and bit of a control freak and have not had this experience anywhere else). They even wrote down the gifts my son received and who they were from! Another bonus was that I could hire a minion character to surprise the kids and it was SO affordable! One of the best offerings from the party package, was that the Pump It Up staff take photos for you during the play time, then they show it as a slideshow during food/present time! They emailed me the link and I got to share the photos with all of the parents and included prints in the thank you cards. Everyone ( even the adults) had a wonderful time! Had our birthday party here today following 3 of our friends parties recently. The main reason I am giving this place 5 stars is their team. TJ, Kyle and Lauren are amazing party hosts. They played with the kids for 1.5h in two different arenas and the kids loved it. We received lots of help with setting everything up and wrapping up the food and gifts after the party was over. Had our son's 4th birthday party here over the weekend. The staff was amazing - they were so friendly and fun with the kids and really informative to me (not having ever been to a Pump It Up). The right hand always knew what the left hand was doing. The kids had time to jump and play on their own and then there was an optional dodge ball game with various size beach balls. In the 2nd room, a game of hide and seek was played. There were plenty of things for the smaller kids too. They don't charge for adults to go and play or help with the kids (which I was not expecting - most places want to charge for any little thing they can). The facility was clean and the air was perfect - not too hot, not too cold! The staff were taking pictures throughout the entire party and I didn't know what they were doing, but when we went in to eat lunch, they had a slideshow playing of all of the pictures they took! They were, of course, for sale for $15. I don't feel that price is too steep and the pictures looked really nice - they even had pictures of the cake in there! A staff member allowed me to help set up the eating area and I could decorate a little - she wanted to make sure it looked acceptable to me and that I was satisfied (which I totally was). Once everyone was brought into the room to eat, the staff served the kids! I was NOT expecting that! They brought pizza slices around to each child and asked if they wanted chips/fruit/veggies - everything available. It didn't stop there - they continued to monitor the kids eating and would offer more or ask if they wanted anything additional They helped pass out cake and cupcakes. We asked if we could open a few gifts and I couldn't believe this - they wrote down what gift was opened and who it was from!!!! When we arrived, we were assisted in taking everything out of the car and when we left they brought everything out to our car for us! Honestly, had I known it would be like that, I would have brought extra cash to slip the staff as they were all young and I'm sure would appreciate any extra dough especially around the holidays. We did add gratuity at the end, but I'm not sure how that gets split up and I would have done both gratuity and cash. Would 100% recommend this location for a party! read more

My son came here for a friend's birthday party a couple months back and he was blown away. We have been to a few indoor playgrounds before, even some with inflatables--but this place is a cut above the rest. My son loved the glow in the dark play, as it added a new dimension to the concept of an indoor playground. One request, open the place up for free play more often please? I had my twins birthday party here 3 years ago and I just had their 6th birthday party here 1/3/13. We had a great time!! Kids had fun and it is such an easy enjoyable experience. They unload and take everything in for you, set up the room, and clean up! I always wondered about how/when they sanitize the bouncers. After we were leaving, I saw 3 people in the bouncers spraying and wiping them down as they were having another party come in after us. That really impressed me that they do it in between parties. Zach was our party host and he was AMAZING! I would request him! He was fun with the kids and monitoring them as they played, even playing with them. Like another review said, the pizza is not good. Story time here is amazing! As a mother and child care provider, I'm constantly on the look out for exciting, affordable places to take my little buddies. We've been to every toddler friendly play place within the 92653 area. Pump It Up is definitely the best bargain around! Theres two rooms full of bounce houses, obstacle courses, ride on toys, huge slides and air canons that shoot balls. For $8, you get two hours of play followed by a (provided) snack and a bottle of water, a balloon and story read by one of the friendly staff members. The staff here is great!! They engage the children around them and its nice to have an extra pair of hands to help you out and encourage your kids to try new things. They were so friendly and helpful! I can't wait to go back! If your looking to have a child's birthday party, do yourself a favor, don't look anywhere else. This place is the tops. We had our 3 year old's b-day party here and we were so happy we did. The set up is great, the service is really top notch. You can select from fun themes and the bounce houses will keep the kids happy the whole time. I took my niece here for their toddler time on Wednesday morning and she had so much fun. I loved how they switch them between two different rooms so that they have a variety of things to do. I also liked how the girl in charge had even more activities for the kids. She would start games like duck-duck-goose or dance parties in the middle of the room. It was so sweet! I'm impressed at this Lake Forest location. It may be smaller in square footage compared to the Irvine one but they do a good job with setting everything up. The air conditioning works much better here so the adults don't work up a sweat just watching the kids have fun. There's even tables and chairs here for the parents to sit while the kids play. I love the touch screen floor where the kids can run around and use their feet to play games. Overall, I like this location much better than the one in Irvine. read more

Today was our second open play tIme at this location. This time we went for the after school play on Wednesday. I was very disappointed about two things.. First, we got there ten minutes after 3:30 PM (I pre-paid our visit, so we just needed to get the wristband for entry). The employee at the front desk was on the phone, for five minutes she didn't even look at us. Another family arrived while we waited, she was still on the phone... after another five minutes she gave us the wristband and told the family to sign in, if they haven't pre-paid, she was NOT nice and she got back talking on the phone. Secondly, there were many kids (all ages) playing and running around in the room. Two employees playing with five kids, not paying attention to the others at all. There are safety issues involved at a place like this. There shouldn't be too many kids at one place jumping etc... they had no idea! A final note, I don't like that half-time they move the kids to the second room and they cannot go back to play in the first room. My daughter likes the first room, but not the other one soo much... We most likely will not go back to this location in the future... read more

My son just had his Birthday party here, and it was our first time here. We went with the glow party option. Let me just tell you, do not be fooled by the pictures. They truly don't even come close to how much fun we all had! Including adults. The slides are SOOO much fun. They are inclined so it adds to the thrill level and speed. They have up beat music playing throughout and you get 40 minutes in each room ( 2 play rooms total), then 30-40 minutes ish in your private party room for Pizza, and Cake. We didn't open presents there, so they gave us the choice of having one of the staff members apply each child a washable tattoo. They loved it! Overall, our experience as a whole, was a definite 10/10. Super, Super fun! Suggestion: Definitely go with the Glow Party option, I believe it's about 2$ extra per child, but soooo worth it. I don't think I would've liked the non glow option. Too Bright and not as fun of an ambiance. The glow/cosmic theme definitely set the mood for an FUN time. You are not allowed to bring outside food besides bottled water, chips and dip, fruit and veggie platters. FYI. read more

I have been to a couple parties at the Irvine location, and thought my daughter would enjoy her party here. Melissa helped me over the phone a couple of times, and was very patient and helpful. She followed through with the adjustments and emails/updates for the party and also contacted me via phone and email a couple days before to do a final confirmation. When we arrived for the party, everyone was very friendly and helpful. They seemed to be on top of things. The face painting was a hit and she was very sweet! I loved that the employees were playful with the kids too. I went to check in on the party/food room and there was an unforeseen delay. I expressed my concern about our guests and about our allotted time. The manager was a little rude at first, but came back to tell me it was going to be taken care of and was very nice and helpful after that. All of the staff, especially one of the employees coordinating the food room (blonde), was extremely nice and helpful. She went out of her way to find me when they were ready to set up and wanted to make sure I was happy and everything was set up how I wanted it. They all worked hard to make sure we got into the room as soon as possible, and that every child had enough to eat. The pizza is actually really good and some family members were excited to take home leftovers. I loved that they distributed food and cupcakes to the kids, which allowed me to mingle with my guests. They also did a great job wrapping up left overs for me, and helped me pack my car!!! It was a great experience and everyone had an awesome time! read more

Pros: Small enough room to keep an eye on your child, variety of activities to keep them busy. Cons: Minus -1 star for starting 12 minutes late...we booked online the night before for the 12-1:30 time slot. We, as other families did as well, came early to check in to maximize this time. It was unprofessional and inconsiderate for the staff to completely ignore all the parents and kids waiting for them to continue to check in families...one of them should have started the video on time and allowed for the families to enter on time. Places like We Play Loud in Lake Forest has a 2 hour time limit and they start when you enter. Another minus -1 star for the the guy that just threw footballs back and forth with little boys right before they jumped...my little girl likes to sit and jump off...and he never acknowledged her once. Never encouraged to jump as she waited patiently...because he scolded some kids that were jumping down at the same time. I had to instruct her to jump when it was clear and safe for her to jump. As I write this, I brought the rating down from 3 to 2...I've been to many birthday parties here and have never been overly impressed with the staff. The first time I came to a birthday party, the girl running the party was bossy to another worker, not engaging with the guests...not something you expect with the price you pay at these places. I did choose to throw a party at We Play Loud, and we will never forget our host Kyle...he made our job as parents and hosts easier and was always available and helpful. But my kids love this place and the smaller size makes it easier to watch them so I know now to not expect anything from the staff...maybe next time I'll ask exactly when they will start the video...maybe it was just that guy that was late. read more

The Anaheim location is closer to me but they never answered their phone. Lucky for us! We got there for open jump. One of the staff members was there with us the entire time. I didn't get his name but he was awesome! He helped my littlest one down slide and got them accustomed to the place. I have nothing negative to say. I had my daughters birthday party here yesterday. The check in was smooth, place was clean, safe and in the two play arenas the kids working were engaging and fairly enthusiastic and did a nice job supervising the children. The pizza was just okay, I much preferred the other pizza they used to have and warm would've been good. We've had a party at pump it up in Irvine before and once we got to the party room, the host was great in getting the kids served and did an excellent job in entertaining them in there as well. Yesterday I felt extremely rushed once in the party room.. she was about to start singing happy birthday and we still had people making their way from the 2nd room, including myself. Like I said the kids were served but but other then that and initiating singing happy birthday and sending us on our merry way, there was nothing special that was done. I guess maybe because we were not allowed to let her open gifts there I would've expected the same as the other pump it up where the host asked my daughter her favorites of things and actually hosted a game while the kids ate. There was instead some sort of silent awkwardness in the room as she cleaned up and cut the cake and the kids just sat there and finally they took turns sitting on the birthday chair with my daughter. I definitely think this was the part for the host to step up her game and be more engaging, MUCH more engaging and enthusiasm. To be honest, the kids supervising in the arena were MUCH more enthusiastic and excited. The kids did have fun though. I don't think I will be doing a party here again though. read more
