Everything went great! I booked a reservation for Saturday 10:30 AM for my daughter's birthday. We got there early to make sure we had enough time to check in. Andy, who helped us, was amazing and very welcoming! He answered many questions and even made some suggestions for the next time we plan a party. We had my daughter's 11th birthday party at LaserLand and everyone had a great time. It actually exceeded my expectations, even if it was a bit on the pricey side. The location itself is fairly small and tucked away in the Kaleidoscope center in Mission Viejo. The party started out with the 15 or so kids having 30 minutes of unlimited arcade games, including a Minecraft game, air hockey, and a pretty neat trampoline game. It was chaotic but they were having a blast. The next hour was about four games of laser tag. The laser tag rooms were pretty awesome, with multiple levels and places to hide everywhere. In that regard I would actually say this is probably one of the best places to play laser tag in OC. The kids had a blast. And so did the adults who played! Then everyone went to the neon-filled party room, where they served a couple pizzas and some lemonade. We had a host assigned to us who was quite friendly, and played a few quiz games with the kids while giving out little prizes to everyone who answered questions correctly about the birthday girl! We wanted this experience to be great because we were celebrating a good friend's birthday party. However, we were very disappointed. 1. The place is run down. Two arcade machines were down. 1 was broken (Hot Wheels steering wheel broken). The basketball game was out of service. 2. The bathroom was very smelly and did not have any paper towels. 3. Some arcade games would take your credit when you swipe your cards but they would not start. 4. The manager Andy yelled at our kids and startd to discipline them because they were whispering amongst each other while he was giving the instructions. He even took it upon himself to take my kid to the side and threaten to kick him out and take away his laser tag vest. Those kids were on a birthday party, and they are there to have fun and be rowdy. Andy proceeded to give us excuses that he is losing his voice and he needs everybody to be quiet when he talks. He also told 2 moms to be quiet while he explains. Andy clearly should not work in kids' entertainment as he clearly does not have the patience to deal with little rowdy ones during a birthday party. 5. If someone has an extenuating circumstance (like a sudden illness), taking the small step of allowing them to reschedule (not seeking a refund) should be considered. Even after explaining our situation (our son started vomiting the night before) and that we are local residents of Mission Viejo who would like to support local businesses, the manager and "corporate" refused to allow us to reschedule. They were heartless and pointing to the fine print is never a good look/how to build a relationship. We will not recommend LaserLand to neighbors/friends/co-workers nor will we ever go again. Just came back from a throwing private party here with 40+ people. Wow I LOVE this place! Outstanding service and it was practically run by 2 people during our time there. Amazing job, you two! The pizza place (next door to the Laserland) is their catering service and serves delicious pizzas! Everyone enjoyed it! Although the party only lasted for 2 hours, it felt a lot longer that. Maybe because we had the whole place to ourselves and the kids were having the time of their lives. The party was super well-organized. The laser tag arena is so cool too along with their equipments. I never expected to be that large in scale. Everyone had a great time in there. And yes, it's very safe for kids. Based on previous Yelp reviews of Laserland, today's experience exceeded my expectations. I was blown away of how perfect the party turned out. Decent place to throw a birthday party. Felt very personal. They were all great with kids. My only complaint was the laser tag maze room was very hot! Kids were coming out sweating and complaining how hot it was. Not sure if it's only today and the air conditioner was out in that room. Also wish the bathroom was cleaner. Only one stall was open on the girls side. Other than that, it was nice since the kids had the whole place to themselves until the next party group that overlaps the last 30mins. Our first time here and it was for a 10th birthday party. The kids all had a blast! Everything started right on time and they had a full hour of laser tag. The party host explained to the kids the rules and the game scenarios. He even went in to play with them. Loved the fact there were different scenarios like team games and zombies , which switched it up and made things more interesting. There was also fog and music inside (which might be a little scary for younger kids). Afterward, there was a little bit of arcade time. The trampoline game was different and fun. Games ranged from $2-3. We would definitely consider hosting a party here next time. The only downside was that the bathroom could use some attention with refilling toilet paper. read more

I visited this place on the 21st of this month (2/21/25) at 7:30 PM with a group of friends who had been here before. After waiting up front for a couple of minutes to check in, a woman walked up, asked for our names, and gave us wristbands. We waited a bit, and once our group got started, we noticed there weren't enough laser tag vests for all of us. The woman grabbed some from the back, assuring us they would work. After checking her phone multiple times, she finally let us into the room to start. Every one of my friends got a vest from that room, but not one of them worked properly or at all. We eventually found our way out and asked the woman, who was sitting next to the monitor on her phone. She didn't hear or see us at first, but when she did, she stood up, apologized, and gave us different vests that should have worked. They didn't. We just rolled with it since it was our friend's birthday, but at the end, we asked for a refund or some form of reimbursement. She told us there was a 24-hour notice required for any cancellations or refunds. I pointed out the clear technical issues and her lack of interest in fixing them, but we still didn't get a refund--only an arcade card with $60 on it. The last time we were here, it was a fantastic experience, but this most recent visit really soured it for us. read more

My kid and I decided to walk in to play laser tag, but we were told we couldn't because it's for 4-6 people and above, as "the system will not start games otherwise." I asked to speak to the manager, so the person I was talking to left the front desk, went into a room with a purple light above it, and brought out "the manager." She was on the phone and absolutely reeked of alcohol. What kind of business is this?! She identified herself as Ceci. I can't believe that's her full name. She explained that the sales computer will not let two people play; it has to be six or more. False advertising! I hope the Better Business Bureau doesn't find out about that. She also mentioned owning a Dominican home store. Okay, why do I care? We then asked to play the arcades, to which she replied, "Our systems are down; we cannot sell anything." You guys are lazy and run a sloppy business that hires alcoholics. To be fair, the guy who helped me at first said it was his first day, and he doesn't fully know how to work everything, so I'll give him a pass. Booked 2 tickets online. When we gat there my grandkids were the only 2 there. We asked for a refund, voucher for another time but were told no to both and told I had to send email to request a refund. They responded back that no refund would be given and no voucher, but that I should, in the future, basically not sign up until I see there are more people signed up. What a joke, it's the customers fault. Saw on line comments where people were told there was a minimum of four players to start a game. So they took my money and told me to go pound sand. I remember coming to this place when it used to be Laser Quest before the covid pandemic permanently shut down all of their locations in the United States. This new laser tag company that owns the building is alright, but still nowhere near as good as Laser Quest was for 14 reasons: 1. All of the employees except Draegan aren't enthusiastic and energetic 2. You no longer receive papers after the end of every game that show you the names of the players you tagged, the names of the players that tagged you, how many lasers you shot from your gun, what your rank was, and what your score was 3. The vests don't vibrate when getting tagged 4. The speakers on the vests stop working most of the time 5. The screens on the back of the guns are having issues most of the time 6. The guns don't have cushions that glow with the blacklights in the arena 7. Unlike the guns that Laser Quest had, these guns won't shoot if you don't hold them with 2 hands 8. When you get tagged, the screen on the back of the gun doesn't tell you your current rank on the score monitor or what sensor on your pack that got tagged, like the front sensor, the back sensor, the shoulder sensor, or the sensor on the gun itself 9. The sounds that these packs make don't really sound as awesome as the Laser Quest packs did 10. The amount of music in the arena is very small, which means that it's usually always the same songs playing in every game 11. They no longer have an escape room 12. They now only wish the birthday boys and birthday girls a happy birthday and no longer wish them a happy zappy birthday 13. The employees no longer use leaf blowers to blow toilet paper all over the birthday boys and birthday girls just for fun 14. My daughter decided to celebrate her 11th birthday at Laser Land with some of her friends. We did a quick tour before we contacted Laser Land to make our reservation. We went with the 2-hour Neon Party package. We're so glad we did. Planning the party at Laser Land Mission Viejo was done via phone and email as reservations are managed by the West Covina location. Our planner, Chris, was very helpful and answered all my questions along the way. The room was set up with plates and utensils just prior to our arrival. They glowed in the neon party room. Each guest was provided with a $12 game card. The card allowed them to play a few games out in the common area (e.g., basketball hoops, air hockey, trampolines with a video game connection and VR). We had a great party host, Izzy, who was very patient with kiddos. He helped set the pace for the party. And our costumer, Doug (aka Stickman), was awesome leading the kids through their rounds in the laser arena. They played 3 different styled rounds (single player, teams and zombie). While we didn't have the whole place to ourselves, our laser tag rounds and party room were private.
