Nice staff, clean and sanitized play structure for the kids. Would definitely come back. Wish they had free play sometime durning the weekends.

Front entrance

A fun place for kids' parties! We attended a 5-year-old's birthday party here last weekend, and my kids had a blast. The place was clean, the staff was friendly, and the event was well organized. Their bounce structures included a large enclosure for jumping around, a short obstacle course, a very small toddler-sized slide, a moderately steep slide, and an extremely steep slide. They also had some large foam building blocks perfect for building a fort. Tables and chairs made it comfortable for adult guests to relax while the staff supervised the bounce structures. The party packages include an option to add pizza (which tasted ok but was nothing fancy) and juice boxes, and they don't allow outside food to be served except for birthday cake. It would certainly be less expensive to hold a party at your own home, rent a bounce house, and order some cheap pizza. However, I think it's worth checking this place out if you're looking for an easy full-service event where the staff supervises the children (only to an extent, of course!), serves food to the party guests, and cleans up afterwards. After the party, I read a Yelp review that mentioned they allow adults on the bounce structures here. Could this be true?! I wish I had known because those slides sure looked fun!

Daughters friend's birthday party.

Polite, professional, and courteous staff. Their job is hard, but they do it well. The kids had plenty of fun and the staff was very punctual in their efforts to keep everyone on track. I would definitely return with the baby whenever there is a party here. Thanks for the good clean time. This may be the shortest review I've done to date.

Hella fun :)

Lots of fun when you have the place to yourself. Minus one star because I flew past the mat and hurt my butt by landing on the carpet. (Extreme sliding) lol. This place is HELLA fun. I've been running around and it's a FUN WORKOUT! I'm sweating.

Super stars assistant to my daughters party! Thank you London and Xio

With two kids we have been here several times at friend's bday celebrations. Today however is my lil ones' 4th birthday party with her lil friends. Knowing the weather can be iffy in the early winter/spring, it was a safe bet to host it here. The fee is per child not counting infants. The party packages vary depending on whether you need gift bags photos balloons included. The midrange package for 25 kids was $430 with soda and pizza for a Monday. Weekend is higher in prices. Kids juices were supposed to be included but apparent they had none . Thankfully we brought our own case of mini Arrowhead water bottles. Goodie bags were extra which we made our own. Management designated two assistants to help the host supervise kiddos, take pictures and set up room, cut and distribute cake slices pour drinks pass out pizzas and also clean up. "London" and "Xio" or super courteous and nice! I really appreciated their help and gave a tip to both. So the upside is the kids got to go nuts have fun in a semi contained space. Lots of fun bounce houses slides tunnels etc for them to enjoy = lots of smiles! No need to clean up is a plus for this momma. Everyone having a blast is a major plus in this cold and rainy January. Overall I give it a 4 as $17+ per child is a little more than what parents want to pay for. Cake was not included. I feel because they forgot about kids juices we should have gotten a credit back of some sort.

Stop, Collaborate, and Listen! (Or else they will toss you out)

Completed waivers, selected her play time, and purchased my daughter's admission ticket ($24.94) along with a pair of grip Bay Play socks ($4.00) online. A chaperone ticket is required ($0), additional chaperones are $5 each. Adults either wear their own socks or shoe covers inside of play area. On a Monday at 4:30p there was only one other car parked. Inside there was one child at play. As the day went on a couple more children joined. The kids all played together as one, which was heart warming to see. The restrooms are located at the rear of the play space, at the end of the Ninja Warrior Jungle structure. There are two major play structures, one for bigger kids to climb, swing and play, the other for smaller kids to do the same with play tailored to their petite size. There are three jump spaces with two attached to what appears to be VR simulated devices. There are lots of arcade games for the kids to play, at an additional charge. Outside food is not permitted. Small snacks are allowed. There are two vending machines at the entrance of the play area - one drinks and the other snacks. There are four massage chairs for chaperones to exist in while the littles play. It accepts mobile pay and cards. One chaperone was enjoying herself during our time, eyes shut. There are 2-3 tables at the front of Bay Play with 4 additional tables at the rear closest to the restrooms. For $25, our daughter was able to play from the time of arrival to close (7p). This is definitely an option to consider for play dates or to pop in for something to do. It is located on the border of Emeryville and Oakland. Bay Play is embedded within a neighborhood. There is street parking directly in front of the location.

Off the bat, I want to say this is one of the more affordable indoor playgrounds I've been to (some I've gone to will charge for adults?!) and there was no time limit (some places give you a time limit of how long you can play for) so that was a plus. They do require you to purchase their socks (can't be grippy socks from anywhere else) but even with the socks and day pass, I want to say it was only $35? The kids loved running around the swing ropes, the indoor playground with slide, and the big bouncy thingy under the bouldering wall. My only concern about the bouncy thingy by the bouldering wall is there aren't any safety rails or things around it and I can't tell if it's safer with or without it but I definitely needed to stay close by in case he bounced off the entire cushion thingy. If you have highly sensitive little ones or neurodivergent kiddos, this place may be a tad overstimulating with the arcade right smack dab in the middle. Like other reviewers had mentioned, it would be nice if the arcade was slightly away from the physical play so that kids aren't distracted/overstimulated by the arcade screens. We did eventually end our outing at the arcades (spent another $40 on the game card...sigh) but luckily we won a big jackpot from one of the games to make it all worth it! Of note, you can't really wear your shoes in the bathroom which is kinda gross so bear that in mind. All in all, definitely one of the better indoor playgrounds in the Bay Area!

I worked with Melissa on the party planning and she provided a lot of tips and reassured me that her and her team would be assisting throughout the party. On the day of the party they set up everything in the party room! The decorations, plates, food, etc. It allowed me to be able to enjoy play time with my son and allowed me to mingle and catch up with the parents. And after the party was over, with a blink of an eye, everything was all cleaned up. :) I find that it's difficult to find good customer service these days so I wanted to point out that the staff I've encountered were all REALLY friendly and I can't thank Melissa enough for a stress-free party. Would highly recommend Peek-a-Boo Factory for a party or even a drop-in with your kids. The play structure is very spacious so I rarely had to crawl to play in there with my son. A big plus!

Appreciate their positive energy. I'd like to note that their policy allows for entrance 10m before party time, but not after? Strange. I had a 2-hour party and I believe it should have been strongly discouraged for a party of my size. I didn't anticipate how rushed it would feel, nor that overage time would be charged by the minute at the end. While I understand their policy and did read about it beforehand, I would have appreciated a clearer recommendation during our initial communications. Given the size of my party (and I had extra people I didn't expect to show up come), more time was realistically needed for setup and breakdown, and a heads-up from peek a boo team would have been helpful, as they are the professionals.

Unfortunately, the party planning and overall management left a lot to be desired. Before the party, I received an email saying that a coordinator would contact me to finalize the food order, but I never heard from anyone until 2 days of the party even though I sent a follow-up email which I didn't receive a response, which made planning stressful. At the end of the party, fewer children attended than we had originally expected, and our total guest count was still within the overall party limit. Despite that, we were charged extra for additional adults, which was disappointing and didn't feel very customer-friendly. We were also told we had 15 minutes to vacate the play area. While the venue itself is great for open play, I wouldn't recommend it as a birthday party venue based on my experience. The focus seemed to be more on additional charges than on providing a smooth, enjoyable experience for families. I would happily bring my son back to play, but I would choose a different location for future birthday celebrations.

It was $15, which was well worth it. The place is small but cute and was packed with kids ranging from 1-4 years old. She was so excited to play in the ball pit and structures. They have little areas set up for imagination play such as a veterinarian area, a grocery check out area with play food and shopping carts, little play houses, reading nooks, blocks areas, so much to play with and explore. It's so cute to see her figure out all of these play areas. We hung out at the tables in the back and let her enjoy herself with all of the other little kids. I felt totally comfortable there and did not need to worry about my little one, like some of those bigger places get a lot of rowdy older kids. Other notes about the facility: They had coffee, tea and water for free. The bathrooms were clean, especially loved the regular changing tables in there (the foldable ones make me nervous). Socks were $3 for play socks with rubber grips on the bottom. She loved it and we all had a great afternoon. We will come back when in Oakland for another play day.

Lots of pretend play stations with Melissa and Doug or that style of toys - grocery, vet, kitchen -- plus duplo wall, magnatiles, connect 4, a small toddler foam area, and the star of the show, the giant play structure with a swing, slide, and large ball pit. The complimentary water, tea, keurig coffee were a plus for me. I know my little one will want ot be back - this occupied her for about 3 hours and she could have stayed longer.

There was a random kid that wandered into the party area and also an elderly woman and a baby that was not part of our party. Other reviews are spot on, though. The lines can get long, it feels overcrowded pretty quickly, and the staff doesn't seem particularly engaged (at all). None of that is ideal, but honestly, I can look past those things. My biggest concern is the age range. During our visit this morning, there were several older kids (around 10-12 years old) tearing through the play areas, running up slides clearly marked not to do so, and pushing past both adults and younger children. I watched two babies get knocked over, tears and all. While I believe parents should absolutely manage their kids' behavior, the age gap itself feels like the core issue. Having toddlers and babies in the same play area doesn't feel safe. I understand the challenge: families with younger kids and older siblings want a place everyone can enjoy, and birthday parties often include mixed ages. But the reality is that older kids are naturally more rambunctious, and there's nothing wrong with that. This space just isn't designed for them. Ultimately, it feels like an accident waiting to happen. Great concept and a hit with younger kids, but the lack of age separation makes it hard to feel fully comfortable from a safety standpoint.
