This pumpkin patch has a PUMPKIN CATAPULT!! I have never been to a pumpkin patch in San Diego and was looking around for one and obviously this caught my eye. This location is ideal with traffic, has plenty of parking and the staff there is outstanding. There is plenty for kids to do from a petting zoo, hay pyramid, kids play zone with inflatables, hay rides and movie nights! I'm not really a pumpkin patch person, in fact I've never been to one that I can remember but this year decided to go pick out a pumpkin from one of these places. It's a small spot, and I didn't pay the $20 to play in the bounce house and other stuff which looked fun but pretty sure it was only for kids. Anyway, I got my pumpkin and they had a nice variety of them which was cool, some of those weird looking gourd ones along with the regular variety. There were many kids here that looked like they were enjoying it so I'd say if you have kids looks fun. Not the biggest place, I think the one at the flower fields is much bigger but if you're going for a no frills pumpkin patch and just want to get down to the action this place is good for that. The pumpkin catapult was the highlight, never seen one of these things before but it's cool to see it in action. The guy working was really nice too, very friendly and helpful which is always good, if it had been some jackass probably would have given 2 stars. Horrible experience!! They wanted me to pay 40 dollars for my 1yr old and 3yr old to go on the jumpers. It's the same price for any age regardless of the fact they could only go on one or 2 of the jumpers max. At least let my 1yr old in for free or charge less. It just felt greedy and NOT in the spirit of the holidays. Or at least give customers the option to go on only one jumper. And charge 2-5 bucks. read more

My husband and I came here on a Saturday night at 7:30pm expecting it to be filled with people picking pumpkins for the upcoming Halloween/thanksgiving. We were so excited to see some animals in the petting zoo, but we ended up very disappointed. It's a pretty open area, but once it gets a little dark you can barely see any of the pumpkins. Lights don't work, there was maybe 2 out 15 string of lights that were actually on/worked. The petting zoo was closed up and looked like an abandoned plywood shack, and we couldn't even pick out a pumpkin if we wanted to due to the terrible lighting. It seemed like NOBODY was there working. Nobody greeted us in or asked us if we needed any help. I don't recommend this place. I've also seen some reviews about the animals looking like they're neglected?! Not okay! read more

We went there last night with a large group of friends and the kids had a blast!!! It's small enough to keep the kids contained, but big enough for them to enjoy for a few hours. They have movie nights on Friday so if the kids needed a break they would go and watch the movie. We were able to bring in pizza and desserts to enjoy at one of the picnic tables. They sell snacks and drinks as well. The place is great for an evening out with the kids during the Halloween season. Looking forward to it again next year! read more

Kids had a great time, but $20 for a wristband for each child seems a bit steep. There weren't options to buy tickets instead as we had hoped. Overall a fun experience, just wanted to give other Yelpers a heads up about the price. Oh and have kids wear long pants and keep their socks on to avoid "rug burn" from the plastic slides and obstacle courses. We will go again next year if they have a better deal. read more

Nice little place to go to if you don't want to take the hour and a half trip to the Bates Nuts Farm. It had some slides, corn hole, one stand to buy sodas, water, etc. Its not immaculate but it decent enough. It's free entry and a medium size pumpkin was 15$. It's 3.5 stars to me because it's alright and it wasn't too busy like I feel a lot of other places to get. Giving it four because the overall rating says 3 stars on yelp. read more

Brought my whole family, the kids were living their best life there! It was non stop fun on the slides for my my 6 & 7 year old nephews!!! My 2 year old niece loved the little photo op's set up through the patch! The adults sipped on hot chocolate, took pics and enjoyed the experience! Just dont go here. We ended up here because it was open late, with our original plan to go to Bates closing at 6. The pumpkins are expensive, we didnt buy any since I can go to the grocery store and get one much cheaper. They charge $20/ kid...no matter the age for the jumpies. We brought our 18month old and there was only one smaller kid jumpy but bigger kids were in there running and doing flips. Another jumper thing was ripped on the sides so a kid could definitely fall through, not safe! The "petting zoo"...oh. my. goodness. These poor animals. I feel like I should call humane society. The animals are so scared and just hang their hands in the corner. Their eyes were not clean, had eye goop all over. Their hooves were over grown so they could barely walk/run away from the kids. It's just so sad. We tried to make the most of it for our kid, but man oh man...so bad. I gave one extra star because the cashier at the front was friendly. read more

Such a horrible experience. My family and I wanted to check it out since it was close to us. Worst mistake overall. First we paid 20 dollars each for a wrist band that was good for the jumpers and a petting zoos. No hay ride or another attraction they had advertised. Second, they charged my 3 year old the same price as my 9 year old and to be honest the jumpers were not that great. It was already a huge rip off from the start since the only thing they could do it jump on a few jumpers. Lastly, the worst part of it all, the petting zoo was in horrible conditions. The poor animals from the goats to the bunny's and one pig, they all had health problems. One of the goats was even sitting in a corner with white foam coming out of its mouth like it was dying. All the goats had eye infections and the poor bunnies were dirty and they all had eye infections as well. All that and they were stepping in their own filth. I felt so bad for these poor animals. They were neglected and I'm sure it's a safety hazard to allow anyone near them, especially children!!! I do not recommend going near those poor animals and overall the place. The owners did not seem to care about the issue and the conditions of those animals since they kept allowing people to touch them. All in all terrible experience. read more

Perfect neighborhood pumpkin patch! We go every year. I appreciate their covid edits--no bouncy house, but a half dozen bouncy slides instead, 1 kid at time. You can tell that they are keeping things safe and clean. My kiddo appreciated the small and medium slides, but if you've got a dare devil, there's a slide taller than a two story house! Prices are reasonable--$10 for 20 minutes, $25 for 1 hour, per kid. Nice selection of pumpkins, cute photo ops! They have movie nights (free entry) every year that we really love. This is one of our favorite fall traditions, and I'm so glad (more now than ever) that we can keep it up. read more

I am so disappointed with Matt (the owner) and my whole experience trying to plan my sons birthday party here. I called the number listed on yelp to get some information about having a birthday party here- Matt answered and was very helpful and said we could definitely book the birthday party. I then told him I'd talk to my husband and get right back to him bc I needed to send out invites that week. Matt said no problem and gave me his personal email to book the party. After discussing it with my husband and our son that night we all agreed to book it. My little was so excited! I email Matt the next day and waited for a response. Nothing. After a few days I called and left a message explaining I left an email and needed to get invitations out. Still nothing. Needless to say I called two more times and no response. It's been over a week and nothing. So unprofessional and upsetting. I'm not looking forward to breaking the news to my little guy. Looking for another pumpkin patch. After talking to multiple friends and family about our experience with Palomar Pumpkin Palooza we've heard great thing about Tom's and will book our party there. read more

The animals in the petting zoo are neglected and abused. Clearly the goats have an upper respiratory infection with eye and nasal discharge. One got up after looking half dead and started coughing like it has pneumonia. No one is cleaning and it's not even fenced. They are in a box where they can't even see out only up. Water was filthy, zero shade in a literal 12x12 enclosure. The bounce houses have holes and are not safe for children. The place needs to be shut down. read more
